“COVID 19 They were too lazy to apply for Sylvester Turner program for the people who need rental assistance . My sister in law and myself asked if they are registered they said yes. We tried to apply they Are not on the list but sent out eviction notices . Trifling and heartless”
— 910 CYPRESS STATION DR · HOUSTON“I can not live in an apartment where I do not feel safe. I have tolerated living under horrible living circumstances, while still paying on time. I have gone lengthy time with things that should have not occurred. I have dealt with not being able to receive my mail 80% of the time I am here, because of the poor security on the mail boxes. I am highly disappointed with the outcome of this living situation and now my home has been violated. I will be moving as soon as possible.”
— 910 CYPRESS STATION DR · HOUSTON“I have lived here for 8 years and I can't wait to move out. I was going to renew it for 6 months and move to a bigger apartment but the new management is something else. They were supposed to fix the tiles in my bathroom and it' been 2 months since I told them . I Even called their overall manager called Connie . They don't seems to care and now I'm having bad allergies and flies due to the mold s. Please stay away. Don't say I did not warn you. Very poor management, I don't think they know what they are doing”
— 910 CYPRESS STATION DR · HOUSTON“The first week I moved In someone was murdered in the complex gate, there were over 100 police cars one random night all in the complex guns being FIRED drive bys inside the apartment complex people getting beat up in front of your bedroom window waking you up. Its just sooo crazy some broke in my apartment only to just trash it.”
— 910 CYPRESS STATION DR · HOUSTON“1. Infestation of Roaches 2. Gun shots every night 3. 2 deaths on property 4. Broken entry gates every week 5. Dirty water coming out of faucets 6. Horrible treatment at the leasing office 7. Kids running through parking lot all day and night 8. Dogs barking on their balcony all night and being walked with no leash”
— 910 CYPRESS STATION DR · HOUSTON“This property doesn't have good management or maintenance. Friend of mine lives here currently (and planning to take legal action). His apt floods there is mold in the walls. They are rude and disrespectful, they fixed the pipes, but have not replaced the carpet or come and taken care of the mold. We have contacted corporate (BNC Equities) and no one has called or anything. Keep in mind he has been a loyal resident no issues at all and this is how he has been treated. Shame on you Portofino Landing Apartments and BNC EQUITIES!!! Already reported them to the BBB and still Nothing how ironic if corporate doesnt give a damn then of course the property won't. DON'T move here especially after Harvey, because my friend has mold and this was before Harvey the maintenance team doesn't speak English very well so it's hard to get someone to understand. PLEASE HELP!!!!!”
— 910 CYPRESS STATION DR · HOUSTON“I wouldn't recommend these apartments to my worst enemy. I'm making this statement due to the fact I'm 9 months pregnant and I have ants in my apartment BAD and my toilet supposed to been fixed and it's still broken. I've asked repeatedly about someone fixing my toilet and they half --- do their job. The ants are so bad to the point I had to move my furniture and my babies furniture out the apartment and I can't keep food in the pantry cause they get into the food. My baby will be here any day now and they still being sorry about the whole situation.”
— 910 CYPRESS STATION DR · HOUSTON“I should've ran the day I was due to sign my lease. I was scheduled to move in on August 10th and my apartment was not ready. I came back August 11th and you could tell that they literally just threw the apartment together in order to have me sign the lease and hand over my money. Rush paint jobs, holes in walls and floors not filled, they told me they would give me new carpet and didn't until a week later. Unfortunately I proceeded with the move in, unpacked my items and the very next day, the holes that were left open had bugs coming out of them. Every day ROACHES ROACHES ROACHES! In the kitchen, in the bathroom, in the hallway, on the walls. I kept asking for pest control and was told they would come only on Fridays. The first Friday didn't show up, second Friday a guy came and put some peanut butter looking pesticide down, it made the roaches worse. The following week, HURRICANE HARVEY hit. Then this past Friday, he finally comes and actually sprayed the apartment. The roaches are still not completely gone but there is less than originally. They did not want to accept late rent or work with tenants on payments of rent especially seeing that a lot of people couldn't even work. The office manager that was there August 11th, named Angela, is gone now. They said she left to a better job. I highly doubt it. I believe she got fired because she was so nonchalant and rude about everything!!!! These apartments suck and I cant wait to move out!”
— 910 CYPRESS STATION DR · HOUSTON“This place is horrible... I've had problems from the day I signed my lease. From bugs to the lazy maintenance staff that gets nothing done. The office staff don't give a damn about the residents. The complex is trashy ------ kids running around. Everyday police are out here , I just wish I could move today this is not fair for the amount of rent I pay. If your ready to live a nightmare make Portofino Landing your place called home.”
— 910 CYPRESS STATION DR · HOUSTON“My concern is about the regulations these apartments have because my daughter came over to drop to drop me off something for about 10 minutes and her rental car was towed now she is having to pay a tow fee of 189.00 plus rental fee just for dropping something off. it really needs to be something done about that because they really get away with that.”
— 910 CYPRESS STATION DR · HOUSTON“I'm a resident at Portafinio Landing of 4years, I can give a list of things that have been wrong with my stay here. Management is absolutely Horrible (you explain to them what's going on in the apartment it will not get taken care of), Maintenance is horrible (they have no idea what there doing) Cleanliness around the apartment horrible (trash everywhere over the complex, they have a HUGE bug issue (Silverfish,Rodents,Roaches,Fleas), Appliances are super old my stove is from 1970's, no washer and dryer connections, nothing updated. There are people that walk around day and night, loud music, drug transactions... I could go on and on, I'm so happy that I will be leaving this apartment. Don't make the mistake I did, I thought it would change and it didn't I'm out this NASTY,Trashy complex.???”
— 910 CYPRESS STATION DR · HOUSTON“mailboxes don't work, thugs hang out at the pool and people leave garbage all over the compound. Terrible management, when I had to break the lease i paid my rel letting fee in accordance with the arrangements i made with the manager and they still put me in collections. Worst rental experience ever.”
— 910 CYPRESS STATION DR · HOUSTON“HORRIBLE place to live!! High crime area in this complex & surrounding complexes. You will get notes on your door often about break ins & robberies at gun point on the property. There is no security. The mailboxes are also broken into daily. Most are left wide open. I've told the office many times but they do nothing & refuse to invest in better mailbox locks. People also urinate and defecate by the mailboxes so it smells terrible. Ive seen a homeless man sleeping in the laundromat before. The laundromat that is to be used by residents is disgusting & is also robbed often. People literally break the coin slots out of the washers & dryers to steal the quarters. I once found one inside of the pool. Dryer doors are ripped off & most don't work. Speaking of the pool, they do not always have it open when they are supposed to quite a bit and when it is open, there are people cursing loud and once a group was smoking marijuana right at the pool around children. People blast their stereos in the units and their cars so there's a lot of noise in the area. I never felt safe leaving the home at night. I've also had issues with people in the unit next to me smoking marijuana to where my whole house smelled like it. Those residents would have people trafficking in and out of the home often so it was assumed that they were selling drugs. Again, mamagement did nothing even though they sais they would. Old management put gates up but there's no way to get out of the gate if you are walking since they did not set up a system to exit (besides a car sensor) plus the gates are often broken and an alarm will go off for a while when it's stuck. One area of the complex floods really bad when it rains yet the sensor to open the gate is in the middle of the deepest part. You will flood your car out attempting to get out of the gate. Management has also been made aware of that but refuses to resolve the issue. They also have no system to allow guests to enter in some areas of the complex so you have to be home and walk out to give them the gate swiper through the gate. Management will rarely call you back nor will the leasing staff and most are not friendly or helpful. There have been times where I called several times in the day and no one answered so I walked in right after I called and several staff members were sitting there doing nothing yet they couldn't answer the phone. The units are run down & outdated & they over charge for rent. They will spike up your rent up dramatically when it comes time to renew as well. I do not recommend this apartment complex to anyone! The only good thing is they would have occasional events to get the residents together. That did not help with the crime though. I will say that maintenance is nice & good about doing repairs too. Also, it's convenient being near i-45 and FM 1960 which has a grocery store and other stores nearby.”
“INFESTED! Do not recommend! Not for young couples. INFESTED! Not for family (No area for children to play, children left to play in streets). INFESTED! Pool open only during summer. INFESTED! They "misplaced" my check for rent. INFESTED! Asked for 2 pet deposit for the same dog (Make sure you save your receipt from your pet deposit). INFESTED! Constantly harassed by ignorant misspelled eviction papers. Speaking of harassment, the maintenance man , who picks up trash here and there, constantly watches me and my dog, whom I paid pet deposit for, and constantly stares me down as if he's waiting for me to do wrong. I personally think it's creepy, but I could be over analyzing ( I'm not). Management has the idea that 8 o'clock PM is a convenient, safe, and professional time to deal with tenants knocking on their doors (Very ignorant in my opinion). Oh and they have a slight problem with roaches ( Seriously, come home to an average of 6 roaches in my kitchen. I never leave food out, but they still drop by to say hello. Can't store food in pantries, wash every dish you take from your cabinets, Raid will be your bestie). Not interested in killing their business, just being the realist. Oh and they have sick people housed here, I do however hope the government realize this is no place for sick, weak, nor crippled individuals who can't fight the infestation that occurs in this place we the unfortunate call home.”
— 910 CYPRESS STATION DR · HOUSTON“The worst apartment complex I lived in the whole my life No security ( they don't have a gate for years ) ( when they built a new gate , the gate stays open 24/7!!!! What is the point the have a gate open lol )! Noise everywhere !! The type of residents who live there are trashy and noisy people and not clean People screams at 1 am Drunk people The management is very bad and rude and they don't offer or find solutions , they always saying sorry it's a law lol The manager ( the skinny old woman ) is very rude and doesn't know how to talk to a new resident or even old residents and can't find solutions for even a small problems All people who working in the leading office don't do their job and they are very rude Customer service = 000000000000 Gangs everywhere They will steal your car and break your windshield They will steal your cars tires Trash on the street and on the stairs Security = 00000000 No maintenance Please don't rent at this place”
— 910 CYPRESS STATION DR · HOUSTON“Iv been here two months and am ready to leave first of the office is terrible they messed everything up before I even moved in I had my move in date set up for a one bedroom apartment with a sunroom I was called by the front office and told my apartment was ready ahead of time so I packed up all my belongings took off work and headed to portifino landing to sign my lease I was going over the details in the office when I noticed the rent price didn't match up with what I was told after further review it turns out that they were trying to move me into the completely wrong apartment building and the apartment even had people still living there once that issue was fixed I was told to come back in a week for my new move in date so I unloaded all my belongings and week later packed them all up again and returnEd to portifino landing only to be told by the office manager that I didn't know what I was talking about and that she never told me that my apartment would be ready in a week so she gave me another move in date for two days later so once again I unloaded everything and waited two more days packed up everything again two days later and finally signed my lease right off the back I had more issues I was given one out of the two apartment keys I needed and was told that maintenance would bring me the other one and both of my mail keys they never did it took me going into the office every day for a week for them to give them to me next once I got my first bill I went and paid it and two days later I got a notice on my door saying I owed 61.00 that day or I'd be locked out of my apartment I lost it and had a fit in the office I brought my money order stubbs and my bill to prove I paid and paid on time no one even looked at my papers I was told the notice was a mistake and that I only owed 11.00 for pest control that made me have a fit even more because my bill clearly already had that included in it everything is typed up and added for them and I paid the total provided and yet they still charged me for more now this month a week before my rents even due I have another notice saying I owe 91.00 or I'm getting locked out tomorrow so now I have to go in there again and complain I don't know how I owe money before my rents even due I'm getting no papers from them about any bills other than the one I get for rent and they can never give me an answer on what the charge is for I highly recommend keeping every bill and money order stubborn you get I also tried getting the manager to write down and sign that I had no outstanding charges and she flat out told me no do not move here iv been here two months and Im probably breaking my lease next month”
“This is the worse complex i have ever lived in. It seemed decent and clean when i first toured but once i moved in i found out a whole different story. The first night i had a leak in a bedroom. My neighbors all drink and smoke pot in the walk ways. My apartment smells like weed and i dont do drugs. i have to worry about my son getting a contact high walking to the car. There have been 2 women assulted and robbed at gunpoint and 2 HUGE drug busts since i moved in. The security is there once night a week and just sits in their SUV. If you move here buy a gun!!!....now after the floods and tornados i have a leak in my apartment that has been reported since 4am on Monday as of today which is friday no one has called me or came to look at it. the office did call me tuesday to ask if i wanted to RENEW my lease not about my problem. I was promised someone would be there the next day....didnt happen. I called and was promised a call back...didnt happen. I called again today and the rude lady gets a attitude telling me they would be there today. I highly doubt that will happen. My son is allergic to mold and gets very sick. I can't wait to move!!!!!!!”
— 910 CYPRESS STATION DR · HOUSTON“They try to steal your deposit & lie about it. It was lie after lie, I just couldn't believe what was happening. DOOOOOO NOOOOOOTTTTT MOOOOOVEEEEE THEREEEEE! Now all of S sudden no one can call me back. The office manager gave me the WRONG number to corporate. Luckily it's 2016 and I googled it. They actually answered the phone. The office lady Alicia needs to be fired. Period. She walked around there like she knew what she was doing but in reality....lied to make herself seem informative. I won't go any father until I get my money back lol ... ......just don't move here. And record your convo if you can!”
— 910 CYPRESS STATION DR · HOUSTON“HORRIBLE place!!! NOTE: this was my 1st apartment and did not have experience. I lived there for 1 year from 2014-2015. In that time frame I witness the results of 3 apartment break in's, 2 group robberies where the victims where beaten, and another 3 car robberies. There was a hit and run on my own car and due to no camera's or active security I was on my own to pay for the damages. The unit A/C and heater was broken for 6 months after multiple request to fix. The unit had black out's for no reason. I also had a roach problem, the office did have someone come and spray but I still had the issue after. BUT the final issue is the icing on the cake. As this was my first apartment I did not have full education on the steps that I should take when moving out. But my lack of education should not excuse customer service. When I moved out there was never a formal process. I never received a walk through therefore I never received a move out expectation form indicating the actual day I moved out. I turned in my keys and asked them do I need to do anything else and when can I receive my deposit. The lady at the office said we would have to take a look at the apartment. Months later I received a notice that I owed the apartment $105 for apparently "staying in the apartment a day over my move out date." The reviews may seem dramatic but the reviews here are true. This place is not a place to live.”
— 910 CYPRESS STATION DR · HOUSTON“The reviews are true! I had a horrible roach infestation when I first moved here, took them three months to fix! My door never locked when it was time for me to leave I always had to call maintenance, the tile for the shower in the bathroom were buckling, the tub peeled my first week there. ( never fixed it) you can hear the neighbors having sex, arguing, and when they walk sounds like they will come through the roof. ( good luck trying to sleep) appliances are so old, my refrigerator had bugs in the vent so every time you open and closed it bugs would be at the bottom of the shelf. Thy sent someone out but he spoke no English so the problem was never fix. Repairs done to the apartment are horrible, my wall was cracked the whole time! The smell of weed is overwhelming, the neighborhood is not safe, they have gates but I'm always afraid to use my key because people camp out waiting for you to use your key so they can get it. Here's pics, see for yourself”
— 910 CYPRESS STATION DR · HOUSTON“The only thing this apartment does an exceptional job at is towing your car. If you love paying 200.00 to retrieve your car this is the place for you. They are very rude, I came in to pay my rent early ( before it was due) and it was 2 minutes before the office opened, I was told I need to take my rent and wait outside (like it made a difference). If you have a problem they will smile and tell you how bad they feel but do little to none to fix it”
— 910 CYPRESS STATION DR · HOUSTON“KEEP OUT!!! DON'T THINK ABOUT RENTING AT PORTOFINO LANDING APARTMENTS. Criminals are constantly kicking down apartment doors, convicts are illegally staying in apartments without paying rent, a tenant was shot and killed on the property, people are robbed and assaulted on the property, the leasing office is rude, lazy, sarcastic. Dawn the property manager is a senical, lazy, conniving, lying *****. STAY AWAY FROM RENTING THESE APARTMENTS..”
— 910 CYPRESS STATION DR · HOUSTON“This apartment is HORRIBLE!!!!! DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!”
— 910 CYPRESS STATION DR · HOUSTON“First let me say this is real. Starting with safety its horrible and I would give it no stars. I have been here 2 months and it has been break ins, lady was robbed going to her car on night at gunpoint, people on drugs bad drugs, someone got shot from homeowner for trying to break into his home, car break in, recently a drug man that was full of who knows what flipped out what night and jumped on top of car shed running and jumped on 4 people cars and dented them then ran to a unknown woman and stabbed her, and tried breaking into someones apartment. It was very scary and looked demonic to me. Its not safe here please dont move here because after my lease is up im out of here. Not safe for my kids and family. You cant even walk without always looking over your shoulder especially at night. Please be in your home by 8 if not earlier because you never know whats going on out there. Im scared living here these people dont care who you are. Furthermore, these roaches wont leave and i had to clean up my apartment when i moved in smh worst place i ever lived. Dontdo it not safe or nice. They make the front and display apt look nice and quiet but its not drive there at night in the back. Looks are deceiving because it deceived me. Stay away!!!”
— 910 CYPRESS STATION DR · HOUSTON“The apartments itself aren't that bad as far as being maintained, decent atmosphere, but I don't like the way the manager, Dawn, hides things that happen. She won't tell you, in detail, or just vaguely how many cars get broken into per month, if an indident happens, a robbery or something of that nature, she will hide what actually happened. I'm sure she will do her duty and send out notices about a 'vague incident' such as 'the police responded to a domestic dispute that resulted in someone being shot', but won't say the person was killed. They will say there was a lady robbed, but won't say which building it was by or the time it happened. They will say they don't know too much about an incident, then you say you know more, then all of a sudden she knows. Is this the way to do business? How shady of her. During the hot summer, I sweated even with the a/c on. It is just not cold enough. I could have said something, but you should have to go to the office for every little thing. It is just not worth it. The towel racks broke off, I think they were just glued to the wall. Careful because Dawn tried to get me to lease the least desirable location. Once month I went in and they tried to get me to lease an apartment that noone wanted with generators all around it, and they said they were almost 'full' or had very little opennings for what I asked for, then a month later I went the apartment was still available and she tried to get me to lease it. Be careful. Move here if that's all you can do, but I don't recommend these apartments. Shady management, and not really a safe environment. Don't get me wrong, they are decent inside, I lived in worse, I haven't had problems with roaches, but I am sure management elsewhere will be more pleasant to deal with, and more honest.”
