“Somebody has to report this no hot water and it's been going on too long ITS TIME THE NEWS AND CORPORATE KNOW ABOUT THIS. As soon as possible COME HO.E FROM WK AND HEAT WATER ON THE STOVE AND WE PAY RENT FOR THIS”

“They don't inform you at the time of rental agreement that they prefer you to "not flush toliet tissue down the toilet." office personnel explained that it is recommended that you wipe yourself and throw it in the trash and NOT down the toliet. the parking is horrible based on the fact they make almost all spots "Reserved". this almost forces you to pay for a spot because any close to your residence will be taken by 3 p.m. and the next option is to park on the STREET. Reserve parking is $25 extra a month, but INSTEAD of waiting til someone actually purchases a reserve spot,they mark all RESERVED. Lastly, the turn around time for a maintenance work order is entirely too long. Made a work order for a non-working a.c unit at 7:25AM in 90° heat and was told it wouldn't be til almost closing that maintenance would get to me. UNACCEPTABLE. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!”

“They fixing the outside of the apartments the apartments are ok but this manager name Nancy and the other two lady's that work I'm in the office are very childish ride and also they go through your Mail do not move here they always have problems with they water they water never gets out”

“It's an okay place. If you just keep to yourself then you'll be fine. Staff was okay... Friendly. Complex in a very convenient spot. Only issues were the bats at night, but wasn't to big of an issue.. I was always inside. And most importantly the roaches that traumatized me. I'd clean my entire kitchen and living room every night religiously and they just wouldn't go away. I'd have to clean every morning as well because I already knew there were roaches all on my dishes and pans from the night before.”

“I have lived here for a year. They have bats that fly in the roofs of the apartment and at night when you go to the parking lot its about twenty bats flying around that cause a really bad smell. When you complain the office tells you that they have people working on it but for a year the problem was never fixed. They need updated fixtures. Our bathtub would only let out one temperature. The AC didn't work. They come out and say that it is fixed but it never is. The foundation is a big problem. THIS IS NOT A KID FRIENDLY APARTMENT. There is no playground or safe place for kids to ride bikes. As far as crime, I have not experienced anything. Its not a lot of people hanging around outside which I did appreciate. The rent was cheap but you do get what you pay for.”

“Someone at these apartments got shot and killed over a pair of Jordans tennis shoes awhile back. That's pretty much all you need for a bad one star rating.”

“It's unsafe area last week there were shooting and a guy was shot, beside I have been living here almost for year, people are not friendly at this location I mean the neighborhood and my lease is over I don't recommend it for those they want nice, quiet, safe and friendly neighborhood...”

“This apartment complex is one of the messiest, un-professional complex ever. By messy I do not mean the property, the maintenance keeps it clean and they do their part in fixing things and keeping the place looking descent. I am talking about the office people mainly ----- and ------. ----- is a hypocrite at first she's nice and oh so friendly to get you to move in but then turns around to just have the funkiest attitude ever and acts like she's to good to talk to you but how is she to good when she lives on the same property I do? Now ------ she is another story to long of a story that will honestly waste my time to even stay on the subject of her. Point blank is when Victoria Park Apartments hire people why do they not run a criminal background or drug test on people? They reject people because they look ------ or act ------ and mainly reject ----- people because their not "fit" for those apartments and I believe that is again Fair Housing. Do you know where you are located Victoria Park Apartments? In ALIEF next to Spice lane come on now, what do you expect? Yeah rent is okay here of course but then at what price of your safety? Looks can be deceiving and that exactly what they do here. I would not be wasting my time writing this comment if I was not being honest. But again everyone has their own opinion.”

“I'd have to say I've been living here for almost a year now I've had to problems as far as my apartment goes and my well being. Every time I have an issue if there is one I call the office or if into the office. Also there is security here on sight 7 days a week I believe. Overall these apartments are not too bad at all. Previously they've probably had some issues but as of the present their doing a pretty good job. I have many stories to share regarding them helping me as far as maintenance goes. So disregard the precious comments because as of now my apartments have treated me pretty well.”

“i've been living here at this apartment location since 2009, at the beginning everything was okay. But then things started messing up at my apartment maintenance never comes to fix stuff till 2 months later. peoples cars get broken into and on top of that they have people being robbed in the middle of the afternoon including in the morning when people take their kids to school. i don't recommend these apartments at all!”

“HI:IM TAKEN THE TIME TO RECOMEND EVERYONE TO COME AND CHECK THE APARTMENTS AT VICTORIA PARK I STAY HERE FOR MORE THEN 3YRS AND I BEEN LOOKING THE NEW CHANGES THAT AND IS GOOD FOR THE RESIDENTS THE NEW ADMINISTRATION IS VERY HELPFULL THEY LOVE TO HELP OUR RESIDENTS IMPROVING THE SECURITY, CAMARAS 24HRS, ALSO SINCE A MONTH A GO THEY BEEN REMODELING THE APT THE MAINTANENCE IS VERY GOOD AND THE MANAGER IS THE BEST I RECOMEND THIS PROPETY.”

“This is the worse place to live in...its full with roaches and bed bugs and flees the first 2 months where okey but after that its just been problems the a/c don't work the stove the sink...but I put that a side and nancy and her staff are horable theirs this women name jaqui she works here and she is so roud my husband has gone to the office more than once to go and remind them that something don't work and he has gotten out of the office mad because of jaqui she is so roud I hate it here I'm glad my lease is over this month because I wount stay another month here I have found better places and cheeper than here is not worth paying a peny I havent sleeped I'm months just to check up on my daughter that no roaches get in top of her and like 2 weeks ago they broke into my husband car all we whant to do is leave allready...theirs allot of kids playing until 10 or 11 pm outside and screaming and trowing things and theirs allot of dogs and cats I don't recomend it please what ever you do don't move in”

“I would have to say that I am happy my lease is ending soon. Nancy the current manager she is the worse manager ever. My apartment is full of mold, my toilet was back-up for 3 months, some kid broke my window and it took 4 months for them to fix the problem, bugs everywhere and the air conditioner is always breaking. Nancy and her staff always neglect the maintenance requests I have send thousands' of maintenance request they would not do anything for you. “I MOVED HERE ABOUT A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO AND IT HAS BEEN THE WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER STAYED IN EVER!!!! AND I HAVE LIVED IN THE HOOD BEFORE BUT I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS. ITS LIKE A MINI MEXICAN VILLAGE WITH STRAY CATS AND DOGS EVERYWHERE. THE WATER SYSTEM IS CRAP, THE WATER GOES OUT AT LEAST 3 TO 4 TIMES A MONTH WITH NO WARNING OR HEADS UP THAT YOU WONT HAVE WATER ALL WEEKEND. AND OMG LETS NOT GET ON MANAGMENT THEY ACT LIKE THEY CARE IN YOUR FACE BUT TRUST AND BELIEVE IF YOU ARE NOT SPANISH SPEAKING THEY TALK MAJOR TRASH ABOUT YOU, THEY HONESTLY ONLY WANT -------- LIVING HERE. IT IS VERY BAD MOLD IN THE UNITS AND MAINTENANCE SUCKS! I EVEN CAUGHT ONE MAINTENCE MAN DRINKING OUT OF MY FRIDGE. HE THOUGHT I DIDNT SEE HIM AND WHEN I SAID SOMETHING HE ACTED AS IF HE DIDNT DO IT AND I WAS STANDING RIGHT THERE.ALSO BUY YOUR OWN LOCKS MY FRIEND LIVES HERE AND HER KEYS UNLOCK MY DOOR!!!! SERIOUSLY.. I HAVE CONTACTED THE CITY OF HOUSTON AND THE MAN TOLD ME THAT IF I WAS READY TO MOVE THAT HE WOULD COME OUT BECAUSE ANYTIME HE HAS ANSWERED COMPLAINT ABOUT APT. COMPLEXES THE PERSON USUALLYS GETS PUT OUT FOR SOME STRANGE REASON. AND THAT HE HAS HAD COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS PLACES BEFORE. I REALLY HATE MY LEASE IS NOT UP YET”

“I LIVED THERE FOR TWO YEARS. WITHIN THE FRIST 3 MONTHS SOMEONE HAD THRIR APT BROKEN INTO ACROSS THE PARKING LOT FROM ME. I WENT OUT AND HAD A ALARM INSTALLED. MY CAR WAS BROKEN INTO TWICE. THE SECURITY CAMERAS DID NOT WORK. THEY HIRED LAZY SECURITY OFFICERS WHO WAS NEVER FOUND WHEN SOMETHING WENT WRONG. ALSO THERE WAS -------- LIVING THERE FREE OF RENT WHO WOULD PLAY LOUD MUSIC LATE AT NIGHT.. MAINTENANCE CAME TO FIX THE KITICHEN SINK THAT HAD BACKED UP AND USED MY POTS TO REMOVE THE DIRTY STINKY WATER AND LEFT ONE OF THE POTS IN THE CABINET UNDER THE SINK FULL OF WATER.. WHEN I REPORTED IT TO THE OFFICE NOTHING WAS DONE SO I REPLACED ALL OF MY POTS AND DEDUCTED IT THE RENT..”

“This place is terrible, brake ins, loud people,water problem,theaf of cable,lights and Bats flying around at night. mangmment sucks. Ella smokes crack(mangment)bad area...please look another way.”

“I was reading the reviews from 2008 and I have to say that this has not been my experience at all. I have lived here for the last year and I have never had my car broken into or my apartment either. If I have had a problem it has been fixed. I do admit that when I am walking my dog at night I get guys hollering things at me from the street. And yes that made me feel uncompfortable. Ellen is the assistant mgr here and I have never seen her smoke illegal substances. I have never seen her looking high or acting weird. They recently got new maintenace and I am not sure they do as well as the ones before. I have lived in 3 other apartment complexes in the area and this has been one of the safer ones. The only complaint I do have is that the electric is too high. I do not think these apartments are insulated very well. If you are thinking about renting here...walk around, ask some of the residents how they like it. Make a decision for yourself.”

“DO NOT MOVE HERE! During the day maintenance go to each apartment checking to make sure they have keys to every apartment. WHY!?!?!? Management and Maintenance steal from apartments while residents are at work. They always blame it on New Orleans residents. There was a non English speaking male (south of the US Border) who tried to break into someone's apartment and was shot and killed. Management received a complaint about this but chose to ignore it they are ALL in on the thefts. I WOULD STRONGLY ADVISE ANYONE NOT TO MOVE IN HERE!”

“I am so unfortunate to live in these apartments!! Ellen, the property manager is a drug addict!! She goes to resident's apartments after midnight requesting their rent, mind you she is usually high and drunk. She goes through people's mail when they receive packages at the office!! She has a very nasty attitude and very unprofessional!! The maintenance men steal from the residents homes while the tenants are not at home!! They don't leave slips when they enter your homes unannounced like they are supposed to. They cater to the --------!! They let the -------- run wild and trash up the apartments with beer cans and trash all over the place and nothing is said to them, but let someone of another race do that and they are told by security that they can't be outside their homes at night!!! They can't guarantee nobody's safety here, they have cameras, but once something happens, they don't let people not even the police access the footage. They need to start allowing pets because the maintenance people have pets and of course the -------- have pets, but they don't allow anyone else to have pets!! People's homes are constantly broken into and having a pet would deter people from breaking in.”

“the seweage problem is bad when you ask they --- to come clean your apartment from all the water that then came through your aprtment they never come they false avertise my car got broken into twice and she claim they cant do nothing about it”

“1st off when I moved in I told the manager who was putting together my contract which apt I wanted, come to find out when I was moving in she gave me the wrong set of keys and she also assigned me the wrong apt. all that got fixed... she is no longer the manager there... not to mention the apt that I was moving into was not ready it was still dirty... anyway... I lived in this apt. for almost a year... and let me tell you that it is the most disgusting apts. you can ever live in... I lived in the town homes/loft.... and the sewage somehow lifted the tile in the downstairs bathroom and flooded the downstairs bathroom... not to mention the rug... and all they was replace the padding for the carpet, replace the tile, and shampoo the rug... Not to mention my boyfriends car got stolen there... The maintance guys dont do their jobs right... Not to mention the many shootings and deaths that happened there... When I was walking to my friends apt. who lived in the back I saw a bloody sidewalk from a guy who was shot the nite before.... I was scared every moment I lived there.... Scared to walk out of my apt at night.... I'm glade I'm out of this apt.”

“I recently was blessed by GOD to be free of this property. Unless you have a death wish, I would say run as fast as you can. This property has poor management. The sewage and plumbing system is backed up for days. Gnats comes out of the water, faucets, toilets, and tubs. No matter how many times you bomb the units or spray, roaches are for days and years to come. In the almost 2 years that I've lived there, a total of 7 people have been killed. The most recent was the stabbing death of a 23 year old mother on father's day. They break into your cars. They break into your units. The office lady Ellen smokes illegal substances. The money orders are mysteriously disappearing from the night drop. If you can't find your receipt, you are shi* out of luck!. There are prostitution units going on along with crackhouses strategically placed throughout the complex. Let's not forget about forget about the registered sex offender who raped a 12 year old girl. The manager claims that the offender is only "using" the address as a mailing address, but lives next door in Bristol Court apartment! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE AND DON'T LOOK BACK. If you have kids this will be the worst decision you will ever make for them!!!”
