“DO NOT RENT HERE! A Complete scam! They took my funds with NO CALL BACK or with any update what so ever! The first apartment I was shown was a 2 bedroom. It was horrible, It had lifted base boards, a rusted and dirty fridge , stained carpets, hanging cabinet doors, stained concrete on the balcony, rusted vents, a terrible paint job and broken blinds! I mean no work was done on this place what so ever! It looked like they have been allowing people to move in and out for years with no renovations what so ever!!I thought this has got to be a home for meth addicts or the less fortunate because no one in their right minds would work and pay for this! I then asked to see another unit, the leasing Agent Crystal Parra then showed me another unit which was a 1 bedroom that looked much better, but on her phone. Which was also a fraud because there was never an apartment ever ready for me to move into! She used this to lie and get me to pay the application fee! The agreement was she would get me in by Christmas. I gave her all of the documents like she requested, even my bank statement. She even asked for my kids SSN which was very odd. She never even called me back ONCE! Horrible customer service and very unprofessional! I called her back after two weeks of waiting and she says " oh, I was sick and out of office which is why I didn't finish up your application. I'll go ahead and finish it up now. "As if no one works other than her when she is out of office! She hadn't even started the process yet! I called back again after 3 weeks of waiting ,by this time I knew it was a complete scam! She says "oh I left you a VM last week (which was a lie also) informing you we denied your application because we could not verify your employment " which was also a lie when I have ALL OF THE DOCUMENTS TO PROVE OTHERWISE!!! They took my funds with no regards or working for it! LAZY WORKER, I HAD TO CALL TO GET HER TO EVEN MOVE AT ALL!!!!!!!!!Not only did she hand up on me for calling her out ,but they also deleted my previous review because they do not want others to know the truth about them!!!!! ALL THE GOOD REVIEWS ARE BOUGHT AND NOT ACCURATE! TRUST ALL THE BAD ONES BECAUSE THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY TRUE!!!!!! I will leave this review on every website connected to them!! Every time you delete this, I will repost so we can go on forever!!!! But you will be outed!!!!! DO NOT RENT AT THIS LOCATION OR PAY THE APPLICATION FEE THEY ARE SCAMMING PEOPLE WITH PHOTOS AND LIES!!!!!”

“The manager is a liar and I went to court it was thrown out my rent was 752 she lied and said it was 1200 had proof had the lease with dishwasher was not working the tried to add it on me I left in October she again lied and said it was November had my new lease to prove that as well I called yesterday to pay what I owe now she don’t want to talk I’m in a new home and loving it. But I still want to pay the 752 like court said that was owe”

“well i live here now and been here for 4 years and didn't have the problems the comments are talking about and my area always clean and its no noise over here where i live and my apartment is nice but the only reason i am leaving is because they no longer accept section 8 other then that i would still be here and my one bedroom have washer and dryer connections fullsize but its on the third floor.”

“This isn't a place you want to bring your loved ones to live. We have witnessed so much violence you almost have to run to your apartment. Security is for appearance only.. a super sad joke. The camera's don't work and you never get your mail, they throw it away., They won't let you talk to anyone in the office unless you have an appointment. The entire complex is partially condemned due to mold and leaks, which is a major reason the cock roaches are out of control. It's normal to hear bullets whizzing by and physical fights on the parking lot even seeing someone's baby take his last breath. The trash is ridiculous and they will enter your home without you knowing. Going as far as going through your stuff make sure your cameras are working. The office is deliberately lying and deceiving people. NO POOL, NO WORKOUT AREA, NO WATER AT LEAST 3 TIMES A WEEK THEY TURN IT OFF TO SAVE, THEY WON'T TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY OF THE CALAMITY. THE WORST COMPLEX I'VE EVER BEEN IN. I KNOW THIS IS A LOT BUT PEOPLE HAVE TO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE GETTING INTO THE PANDEMIC IS ENOUGH WITHOUT THIS MESS GOING ON.”

“I like living at the Venitian Apartments there quiet and I haven't had no problems at all only one little problem I had for 2 days I had a water leak it from my kids restroom closet and when to my kids room and some part of my kids carpet was wet but they took care of that right alway it was during the weekend but other than that is good community and we got approved fast in the night there's a security guard walking around so my family and I liked it ????”

“The place is a disaster. I regret the day I signed the lease. The tenants leave trash everywhere. Weed smokers all around. The gate never works, they never fix anything. My hot water was out for 1 week. I had to beg to get a mail box key the lease office does not respond. The pictures are only if the front the back and fork t now look like trash. Parking is horrible! Fights, gunshots, car theft, an overall cluster ----!!! DON’T MOVE HERE SAVE YOURSELF! Pest patrol never comes”

“I wouldn't recommend this place to my WORST ENEMY. Staff is great during your move in, but request/ complaints forget it. Parking is horrible. Residents are DISGUSTING and Careless. Gunshots, Police sirens and dog barking Allnight. I don't even sleep anymore. I Hate it here sometimes its definitely not what I expected. I have looked out my window at 2 or 3 am and I see ppl breaking into cars I hit my panic button to scare them off but 30 minutes later they're back( I mind my own business). I dont blame staff bc they can only work with what they got but should take residents concerns more serious. My apartment is great 3rd floor,new carpet, and appliances. I dont want to move when my lease is up , but I can't live somewhere where a DOG is barking all night into the early morning takes precedence over me. I love animals, but this kind of treatment is a slap in the face, it's unjust, and it hurts especially when your paying $819 for a 1 bedroom with a sunroom. As if dealing with the Pandemic isn't already stressful enough.”

“They don't fix anything some of the leasing staff are very rude they don't answer your calls when calling every time you go in the leasing office it's never no one in there but outside that it's a good place to live”

“This is the hood and not safe at all. In 2016 it seemed that hard working people moved here. It was pretty quiet and the leasing office personnel were pretty cool. As time passed, ------ people moved in. They broke into my husband's work vehicle, they leave trash around your car, and they are extremely loud. The new people are just nasty. The worst experience I had was my trifling nasty neighbor letting her cat poop and ruin my door mat. (I swear they stayed home all day and did nothing productive) She and her boyfriend were young and trifling.They didn't see it as a problem. They'd put old food and their smelly laundry outside the door. Sensible people know to keep their filth to themselves. Some people are just nasty and don't care. If you have children, don't move here. If you care about cleanliness, don't move here. In 2016 & '17 I didn't have roaches. The roaches so bad (nasty neighbors) in 2018, I put in my move out notice and moved to a very nice suburb of Houston. Thank you Venetian for putting a cheap roof over my head while my husband and I got degrees. No thanks to the nasty, don't want to work or get an education people.”

“I have lived at the Venetian on Ella for close to four (4) years and I have loved every minute of it. I secured my apartment while living out of state and when I moved in it was just as clean and cozy as the on-line photos. The few times I had to call maintenance they came immediately and fix my problem quickly. Being a gated community along with security on the premises has allowed me to feel safe at all times. I would highly recommend the Venetian on Ella as your next fantastic living experience.”

“I love the ventians they are very understanding and helpful I've been staying there for 3 years and haven't had a break in or a problem that wasn't solved in a desent amount of time thanks for everything!!”

“The staff is completely illiterate, unprofessional, unprofessional and rude as hell. The manager Teresa has the personality of a warden from prison. She is very rude and argumentative. There's no way the manager and the leasing agents should be argumentative with the tenants who are the reason they even have a job in the first place, if you guys did your JOBS and knew how to properly manage apartments and cared more about their health and their time. Mold in apartments, hot water is out constantly. They are 100 times worse than Bridge Property. It has been hell on earth since Nova Asset took over.”

“There has been no hot water for almost a week. Kids smoking weed in the fitness center every day withthe lights off and those same kids got caught by me trying to open cars last night. This is getting out of hand. And the office staff and management company give no care. They have inexperienced maintenance technicians! DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!”

“Ever since Nova took over this place has been a nightmare. The grounds are disgusting, they're are people playing loud music at all times of day and night, the pest control is non existing, and the office staff are lazy and not at all helpful. Rent is paid in the most difficult way possible the washers and dryers rarely work, and the place is falling apart. This Nova property management company has no working email and all calls are forwarded to an offsite call center. The office hours are extremely inconvenient and no one seems to be willing to help unless you are paying rent. Don't move here, hell try your best not to drive by this --------. This area is really going down hill quickly.”

“Mold roaches very nasty apts please don't move here the company charge to spray for roaches but I never once seen them come spray and my toilet been broken for almost a month a put a order in nobody still haven't came and my calling the health department for this mold and my ceiling is leaking please don't move here”

“Management seems to have went from a nightmare to an even worse nightmare... the company Nova Asset has been horrible so far they barely answer the phones and forward all calls to their call center where no one can really help you or answer any questions. They also disconnect the line during work hours so they won't have to answer phones... They are so unknowledgeable about everything. Bridge Property Management was horrible but Nova Asset isn't any better.”

“My car was vandalized on the property. Maintenance workers hit my car and damaged my front licence plate with their lawnmower.The mailroom needs to be cleaned up. It reakes of urine.The weight room sgould be free to acess by renters of the community. Laundry facilities need to be cleaned up and atleast 1 vending machine should be present inside each of the laundryrooms.”

“I've lived here about 2 weeks and I haven't had a terrible experience. It's hard to catch people in the office, I had a wasps nest on my patio and told them about it, no one came to get it down. Aside from that, it seems like an okay complex. Parking is an issue because all of the spaces are reserved.”

“I am a current resident at La Jolla Champions. I have been a resident here for less than a month and I have had a terrible experience already. First, the day my family and I moved, (a 14 hour move) we were told we didn't have an apartment because of a change in management, paperwork was misplaced. We had to get a hotel that first night. We came the next day and was told we had to pay an additional deposit, which no one bothered to inform us of that before move in. When we got to the apartment, it was not up to par. Many things were broken and inoperable. The management is VERY rude. They lie to you and expect you to take it. PLEASE find other housing. This is not a place I'd EVER recommend!!”

“I just moved in June 2013. So far so good. The only problem I've come across is management not believing me when I told them my first month's rent was only $100. I came across a special back in May (look and lease, $500 off first month's rent). Even when this was verified, I STILL received a red notice on my door saying I owed $500. I had to go back down to the office to once again have it verified. These people STILL came to my door attempting to change the locks! When I opened the door, one of the leasing agents recognized me and realized he had the wrong apt (hehehe). Ugh that was a pain and maintenance can be slow but to be fair, they do spend a hell of a lot of time remodeling the other units. Parking is ok....surprisingly it is very quiet at night. Top Gun Security has at least 3 officer patrolling every day and night so I feel really safe as a single mom. The only thing that sucks is that there is no onsite laundry facility. If there is, I haven't found it yet. Like I said, I just moved in 2 months ago! Locked in for a year so we'll see how good this continues to go.....”

“these are the worse apartments ive ever stayed in i have mice roaches and also termits ! the staff is also a handfull they dont know how to talk to there renters and everything is a problem for them ! i called numerious times to tell them about the problems i styaed on hold for about 20 to 25 mins. i had to call back to remind her that i was still on the phone and finally a couple of months later after threating to go to corprate they finally half way fixed the problem .i would never recommend noone to ever move in these apartments !!”

“These apartments are awesome. I believe a lot of the bad reviews are from past management. The new management has catered to my every need and really taken care of me. One of the reviews said the apartments aren't safe but I get home at 11p 6 nights a week and I haven't noticed one safety issue. There is security walking around from 9p to 6a watching everyone's cars. These apartments are te 5th I've lived in inu life and so far I Love them. Thank You LaJolla for the awesome stay!!”

“Where do I begin? The water is off at least twice a week. Most of the time their is no notice, if you do get one, it's after 6, and they just leave a piece of paper on your door. We pay a utility bill, BUT we often go days without the trash being collected. The trash starts piling up around the bins on the grounds. The stray cats love this by the way.The buildings are different colors. They started painting months ago, and never finished. We also have covered parking, for an additional fee of course. However, they thought it would be nice to take away from the few spaces that we have to park, to reserve those as well for an additional fee. Mind you, the covered spaces have not been filled. You are supposed to have a parking permit or park in the visitors spaces or have your vehicle towed...but that doesn't happen, the guest park as they please. It took three requests for maintenance to come fix a few problems and they leave your place a mess. I rated the laundry facilities with one star we have them, but they've been working on fixing them for months. Definitely not the place you want to be!”

“The location is great and not a lot of traffic on near roads anytime. Close to freeways and gas stations. Big community with plenty of floor plan options, many many new upgrades, nice hardwood floors and if you compare the rent price per square foot (monthly rent divided BY square foot (.65/sq.ft)) you will find out that this deal is a steal. The ladies in the office are welcoming and professional and even went out of their own way to help my family to be accommodated. New management is doing a great job with staffing and improving the property.”

“I moved in to these apartments on April 14 2012 with the whole entention of staying for 2 or more years. There were complications when moveing in. I was supposed to move in on the 1st of april but the apartment was not ready. So had to wait two weeks for them to get it ready or move into another unit which was in an unacceptable location and needed more work to even be livable but they thought it was ready to move into. Moved in.. No hot water to the front bathroom sink or the Washer hookup. Upon examination there was not pipes for the hot water even... In May a new management company took over. By May 20th I recived a letter that they were wanting to remodel all of the units at the front of the property and were requiring that all of the tenets in those units move to another unit on the property or move out. The units offered were either on the second floor (unacceptable as I was in a 1st floor.) or if I wanted to stay on the 1st floor a larger unit would be made avaliable but at $75 more a month. Neither of these options were acceptable. So I have chosen to move out. If you plan to move here Get everything in writing and hold them to it. also have a Lawyer oncall... They will make your life harder and not uphold decent principals no matter what they Manager says. Plus it may be a new management company but I am quickly relizing that most of the office personel are all from one family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT move in here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

“At first glance it looks like new management is trying to renew property. But you'll find out pretty quick that their only interest is filling up the units. There is no interest in you once you become a tenant and they have you under lease. I've been living here three months and there have been multiple instances of no running water or no hot water. The new management initially said that they are working on the problem. But today I'm told, this is an older building plumbing problems are to be expected. In other words it is what it is. The water has been completely shut off due to broken pipes the last two evenings I returned from work. The first night it was still off when I went to bed. This morning there is no hot water and management can't say when it will be fixed. Instead of fixing the plumbing they have started painting and renovating empty buildings. In addition to the water problems, maintenance is very slow about making requested repairs. It has taken weeks and numerous requests every time something needed to be fixed. I still have maintenance requests from a month ago that have not been addressed or even acknowledged after several reminders. This is not a place where you will be comfortable. Don't rent here if you have even minimal standards of what is acceptable.”

“I just signed my lease a week ago and right after I did a walkthrough I left out of town for a week.. When I came back and actually moved everything in I noticed a few maintenance requirements that needed taken care of.. When I called the office gracy (who signed my lease) answered and kept putting me on hold.. I told her a window was busted, my sliding doors were off track my refrigerator was hot and those were just a few of the small problems.. She put me on hold again n then tried to tell me I'd have to pay for it because they didn't see it when they did the walkthrough.. All n all the office people are insanely unorganized and I STILL haven't got my copy of the lease OR my mailbox keys and had to go down to the office just to get somethin taken care of!! Hopefully with this bring my first week here they'll do something to change my opinion because as of now I wouldn't refer these apartments to roaches..”

“Lajolla Champions is the worse place to stay in. When I move from over there they is so hard up on money, that they had to make up boggus charges on me so they cantry to get money out of me. A good thing that I had all my evidence to prove to they rachet asses that I did not owe them money. I will never tell anybody to move over there. I repeat I will never ever ever ever tell anybody to move over there.”

“This property has come a long way since I first started looking for my own place in this area. when I first moved here I could tell it had improved since my last tour of the property 1 year ago. I was impressed with how much the grounds keeping had improved. The property looked like a nice and safe place to raise my child. since I'm a single mother safety is my first priority. When I experienced my first problem with my heating system the maintenance came out to my apartment within 24 hours. So it wasn't a long wait which I thought was nice. The office staff are very polite and helpful and thoroughly explain about any concerns that I have had. All in all its a good place for a great price.”

“Aside from the fact that there were four break-ins in my building alone, this place is the worst. The grounds are always under construction or boarded up, they have MAYBE 5 dumpsters (they got rid of the other 10 or so) so they are ALWAYS full and stink. They change policies all the time. They could never get the billing done correctly. The hot water worked about 35% of the time we lived there. The maintenance staff has no clue what they are doing. We had an AC break and the tech vented ALL of the freon in the system into the air (CAN YOU SAY ILLEGAL??). Noise is terrible during the summer and curfew is not followed by ANYONE. Our mailbox was broken into several times as well as both of our cars. The staff change every 3 or so months so all the rapport built up with previous management is gone every few months. This place is awful. If you enjoy living in fear and poverty then move here.”

“The office people are so rude they dont corporate with anything. They made me take down my UHF antenna,, where i get 71 free channals. FCC rule (OTARD) says I can have it. They wont look at the law. Only said they only go by thair lease. The hot water cuts off every now and then. People get tired of bathing in cold water. These apartments need to be closed down and give everybody their money back. Believe me its not worth a penny.”

“I decided to move here after seeing a big improvement. I visited my friend often, and back in April the property was kind of scary, lots of people hanging out,many apartments with boards that look abandon, but now...Woow I actualy like to come here, I just move in about 2 months ago and the property looks clean, any maintenance issue is addressed quick and the staff is alway friendly specialy the manager Norma, who I know is new and, she came there are rules to follow and the maintenance is done. I'm looking forward to see how the apartments keep improving, she even said that she will put a playground!”

“I have been living here for about 3 years, so far this is the best management they had ever had. They fixed all of the things that were wrong in my apartment, something that the previous staffs hadn't done. New staff is very friendly and firm, glad there is still people that like to work!! Anyways, people out here only like to complain, giving out compliments sometimes feels nice....”

“This complex says they don't except felons... HAA HAA HAA!!!! This complex, what tenants are left is full of thugs and thugettes!! If you like 40 ounces and sagging pants and -------- playing carnival music full blast, come on down to La Jolla where the hallways are unlit and reek the wonderful scent of marijuana!! Excellent parking because no one LIVES HERE!!!! More than 3/4 of the units are boarded up. This is a place where Baby Mommas and Daddys fight all night long. You may find hair extensions on the ground while walking to your car. Then the little kids make an extra effort to put a new dent or scratch on your vehicle daily. You would be better off living in a hut in a 3rd world country than staying here. Deplorable conditions is an understatement. The police are regulars in this complex and there is so much going on here. Hope you are not a cigarette smoker, cause the other tenants will come bum at your door 3 to 4 times a day for one, regardless how many times you say no. Nats and roaches are an extended part of you household. The tenants are moving out of here so fast, the standing water left in the units are causing a bad nat problem. Food left behind in the empty, trashed units are causing roach problems. Homosexual teens are making out in the dark stairwells at night. And now there is a new rule that you have to make 4 times the rent to move in. LOL.... anyone with money like that wouldn't make a place like this home. Management is rude. Nothing matters to them except PAYDAY!!!! And parking is always available and convenient because.... NO ONE LIVES THERE!!!!”

“I came here to see the aparments everything is a caos...the leasing agents specially this girl Veronica is so ignorant. I ask for the aparments pricing guess what? she had no clue...everytime i asked her something she had to wait until another moron next to her answer the question. So i got tired and ended up going somewhere else. If they treat the property the way the treat you when you go so see them , i don't want to live there.”

“This place is a mess. Stayed here thru my lease, and glad to say my time is up!!!! There had been 3 different management staffs during my occupancy. I saw the sign offering low rent and tried it out to save money... HUGE MISTAKE!!!! I had my door kicked in my first day there. My kids (because they are passive) have been bullied and choked on 3 separate occasions. But because you are tied in to a lease, you can't up and leave. The water here is brown and for two months we went with either no hot water or......NO WATER AT ALL!!! The current management as well as the last management WILL NOT TAKE CARE OF PROBLEMS IN A TIMELY MANNER. I believe this complex is for people with evictions and lease violations that have nowhere else to go. If you fit this description.... WELCOME HOME!!!! If you have any concern for your safety and that of your children... LOOK ELSEWHERE!!!! Unlit hallways and NIGHT WALKERS (people who walk all night to see whats going on for their advantage) makes this a very unsafe place to live. Old people getting thrown to the ground and robbed in broad daylight. This place will make you feel less of a person and lose all Moral Standards you have. I don't believe this 400 unit complex will ever be fully occupied because of the staff and the way they handle issues the tenants have. I doubt 100 units are occupied at a time.”

THERE ARE SEVERAL HEALTH CODE VIOLATIONS! DON'T THINK CAUSE THE RENT IS CHEAP THIS IS GOOD, CAUSE YOU WILL REGRET IT! I'M SURE THE PERSON THAT SAID THEY LIKE IT HERE WERE THE PEOPLE IN THE OFFICE. EVERYBODY THERE HAS SOMETHING BAD TO SAY. IF YOU TAKE A DRIVE THERE ASK ANYBODY THAT LIVES THERE, I SHOULD HAVE LISTEN TO THE LADY THAT TOLD ME "DON'T MOVE IN HERE!"”

“I just moved in here in october and its been hell,they havent fixed anything in the apartment that was supposed to be fixed they lie to get you in theses apartments , just last friday neighbors upstairs had a flood and water was dripping down from my master bathroom light fixture is filled with poo and urine ,maintenance came made a hole up on the bathroom roof top and hasnt came back to fix it! in the master bedrooom i now have water stains up the roof this really sucks the worse apartments i have ever lived in so beware dont move in here you will regret it. by the way i have pictures to prove it !which they will make news.....”

“I just moved here the last week of October 2010 - I know that the previous ratings would make someone look elsewhere for a place to live - however after coming to the property myself with my family and talked to others who lived here, I got a different vibe than what the ratings current as last month indicate. Im not saying that the things written are not true, but Im the kind of person to see things for myself and I am very happy with my apartment - The only thing I had on my first night here was one big roach in my laundry room and I think the reason why was because it came from inside the wall where the pipes are.
