“I have mixed emotions regarding this property. We have experienced two manager changes since signing our lease in mid 2019. Now once again another manager, along with new owner and management company. No proactive communication. No direction on new rent payment process, have to hear about proposed construction changes from other residents. Removing one pool to put in a gathering area, that leaves one small pool for two large buildings. The gated entry system has been malfunctioning for months along with the secured entry. While the staff are nice and will speak with you, they are leasing agents and not there to address your concerns or issues. Smile and say okay, if you disagree they mark you a troubled tenant. Recently, the building is dirty, unmonitored and uninviting. I will not bring friends here.”

The inside was extremely rundown, you could tell there was mold that had been painted over on the wall. The units I saw all smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. I toured a unit that was being renovated and could see that they were painting over mold and water damage on the wall. Definitely stay away from this place!”
— 18707 EGRET BAY BLVD · HOUSTON“Very unprofessional nasty environment staff are friends they gossip and talk about everyone! It's overpriced and outdated! They don't do their jobs and get upset when asked to do so. It's mold , sewer leakage and infestation of pest everywhere! I wouldn't advise anyone to want to live here Tenants are definitely not treated fairly!”
— 18707 EGRET BAY BLVD · HOUSTON“This is a very nice place to live. Everybody is so nice and friendly. Nice and clean patio and swimming pool. If I return to Houston I will for sure move in back to The Towers. Moving soon to the country, retiring and getting married. Mary Morales.”
— 18707 EGRET BAY BLVD · HOUSTON“This place is indescribably bad, but let me try: from the very beginning our lease was messed up in multiple ways, and promises were made that were never followed through on. The air conditioner goes out regularly and will be out for up to a week while temperatures inside reach the 90s. This is a 7-story building, and currently not one of the 3 elevators is operational. I'm both handicapped and pregnant, and it is completely unacceptable that there is no way for me to reach our 6th-floor apartment with my toddler other than to attempt to climb 12 flights of stairs. Please don't give this place your time or money.”
— 18707 EGRET BAY BLVD · HOUSTON“I am not going to tell you that you shouldn't move in here. But I am going to tell you that I wish I never had. There is a bad roach infestation. The neighbors will call the cops on you for watching tv in your living room too loud at 8 pm. The management has changed 4 times since I moved in. 4 TIMES. That should tell you something right away. There is mold in the building from harvey and they just paint over it. This complex is all about superficial looks. On the inside, the infrustructure is crumbling (the buildings have been around for over 3 decades) The new management seems like they are doing a better job but I have been through 3 of them in the last year so i'm not very hopeful.”
— 18707 EGRET BAY BLVD · HOUSTON“My family and I lost everything after a Hurricane Harvey, and were excited to come across The Towers At Clear Lake. All I can say is I wish I would've listened to the reviews. At first this place seems magical and wonderful, but give it a month or two. We had to change apartments because the first apartment we had was INFESTED with roaches, and we had to BEG to move. Finally after 4 letters to corporate we got a new apartment, and they wanted to charge us almost $200 more because our kitchen has a mirror...... I don't think so!!! Now in our new apartment, every time I do laundry the outside and inside of our laundry room floods, and now we have mold growing. I can only imagine how long this is going to take to get corrected, if at all. Since we have been here, I can't even count how many new managers we have had. It seems like there's a new one every 3 months. The South Towers pool is a disgrace. The hot tub hasn't worked in over a year, and the pool has been closed for almost 2 months now, and it's the dead middle of summer. So you have two towers full of hundreds of people in each, trying to use ONE pool. My current bathtub doesn't hold water. Every time I go to relax and try to take a bubble bath, the water drains within minutes of filling the tub. Oh, and not to mention the 2 and 3 am fire alarms that go off CONSTANTLY. I can not WAIT to move out of here. Do yourself a favor and listen to the warnings, and find somewhere else to live.”
— 18707 EGRET BAY BLVD · HOUSTON“WORST PLACE EVER!! NEVER RENT FROM HERE! Where to begin 1) They charge you a $50 just to pay your rent (although they don't tell you that upon leasing) 2)ROACH INFESTED!! && THEY TAKE NO MEASURES TO FIX ANYTHING! 3)EVERYTHINGS BROKEN 24/7 4)The MAINTENANCE MEN HAVE KEYS TO YOUR HOME AND TRY TO ACCESS IT AFTER 8PM!!! WITH NO CONSENT FROM YOU OR WARNING FROM OFFICE!!! 5) THEY WILL HARASS YOU WITH NOTICES!! 6)THEY ARE GREEDY PEOPLE DIDNT EVEN HELP THEIR OWN COMMUNITY AFTER HARVEY AND STILL EXPECTED PEOPLE TO PAY RENT ON THE 1ST *WE WERE STILL FLOODED!!!** 7) THEY ARE RUDE RUDE RUDE THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU JUST ABOUT YOUR MONEY, WILL NEVER FIX ANYTHING AND IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH CREEPS IN THE BUILDING WELL THEY DONT PROTECT YOU OR YOUR CHILDREN YOU MIGHT AS WELL LIVE IN THE SLUMS!”
— 18707 EGRET BAY BLVD · HOUSTON“New management is terrible, almost all of the good staff has moved on. The building is being painted in some effort to refurbish it, but the outside looks like kindergartners did it and the inside is just white. The gates don't work a lot of the time, the HVAC equipment is old and worn, and the apartments are poor ventilated. This has caused mold to easily grow on the ceilings and walls. Telling the manager, just leads to them telling you to spray it and maintenance will come paint over it. Shop around there are way better places to live in the area for the same or less money.”
— 18707 EGRET BAY BLVD · HOUSTON“I JUST MOVED IN.....I WAS SHOWED A TOTALLY DIFFERENT APARTMENT AND WAS TOLD THAT MINE WOULD LOOK THE SAME ONCE COMPLETED....ITS NOTHING LIKE 306 THEY USE TO BAIT YOU IN WITH! BEWARE THERE'S BLACK AND PINK MOLD IN THESE APARTMENTS...THE PAINT ON MY WALLS IS PEELING AND BUBBLING AND SEVERAL AREAS ON THE CEILING HAVE DARKENED....AIR VENTS HAVE BLACK STUFF BLOWING OUT AND BATHROOM WALLS HAVE A PINK TINT (PINK MOLD) WHICH YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE THAT MAINTENANCE TRIED TO COVER IT ALL UP....I'M HAVING MEDICAL ISSUES SINCE MOVING HERE....THE BATHROOM VENT FANS ARE BLOCKED SO YOU CAN'T USE THEM SO THERE'S NO VENTILATION AT ALL! MANAGEMENT WILL NOT DO ANYTHING MRS SILVA WILL LIE TO YOUR FACE AND SMILE....SHE GOES THROUGH OFFICE PERSONNEL EVERY 30 DAYS! HOW CAN THESE PEOPLE GET AWAY WITH THIS?”
— 18707 EGRET BAY BLVD · HOUSTON“What's going on with this people!!! Managers are coming and going in less than a year , NO ORGANIZATION , NEW OWNER HAVE NO CLUE OF taking care of their Residents. These beautiful condominiums are looking more and more as the PROJECTS OF CLEAR LAKE . with that painting ALL WITHE LOOKS LIKE A HOSPITAL OR JAIL , no worth for the money they charge!!!!! Miss Gina Martinez left , She was doing a wonderful job IT LOOKS LIKE NO ONE CAN HANDLE NEW OWNERS. THE NEW "MANAGER" Teenagers all temporal staff NO CLUE FOR HELP WITH THEM”
— 18707 EGRET BAY BLVD · HOUSTON“As of 6/8/2017 the new management company seems horrible. They have cut way back on maintenance staff and now have started to charge tenants a garbage collection fee. The new management company closed the trash chutes so they could start charging for trash removal. They have raised rents for less service, the building looks like some kind of third world country in the evening with trash cans outside of every ones doors and it smells! Problems with air conditioning cause then to work off and on. The new owner of the building have also decided to extort individual unit owners by in most cases almost tripling their HOA fee. Their intent with this is to force actual owners out so they can buy there unit. The owners cannot sell their unit because no one will buy them with the ridiculous HOA fees in place. Bottom line is this is a horrible company to have to rent from you will also have to go to some check cashing place to pay your rent as they don't take cash or debit cards. Also you can't call them as they never answer there should I say are afraid to answer there phones. You'll have to leave a message and if it's a complaint you will not get a call back!”
— 18707 EGRET BAY BLVD · HOUSTON“Overall the place is ----, I hate the new company that has taken over.... however the new manager gina has done a tremendous job trying to turn it around. She is very kind and gets to the point! Very helpful and her assistant Rhonda is very kind as well love them both... but only one person can do so much and I'm hoping they would recognize what these wonderful ladies have done....... also rent is way over priced I understand it's a high rise but geeze a one bedroom is over 1000!!!”
— 18707 EGRET BAY BLVD · HOUSTON“repairs take long time to fix, noticed mold bugs/roaches and a rat once. Things got really bad when building was bought and is under new management. Additional charges that can not be explained by new management. Place looks nice from the outside, but that is about it.”
— 18707 EGRET BAY BLVD · HOUSTON“Love Towers at Clearlake! The water front views are amazing. I feel like I am living at a resort. My unit has amazing water front views. I have a washer and dryer in my unit. There are several elevators. The pool areas are relaxing and beautiful. Good value for the money. I recommend the Towers. Sue”
— 18707 EGRET BAY BLVD · HOUSTON“Do not move here! For the price you pay here you can get a nicer apt with a washer and dryer in the unit. The laundry room here has units that are old and work or not work depending on the day. New management bought the place and raised the rent 200.00 and the place is going to hell in a handbasket no more trash recepticles in the south tower back parking valet trash service doesn't come on Fri or sat (the 2 busiest trash days) and you still pay for it. There is always dog poop smears in the hallway and it smells. Roaches, spiders coming out of the air vents. Today there is a busted sewage pipe in the hall that's seeping sewage into the laundry room where clothes are being washed. There is often dog urine in the elevators. This tenants BMW was stolen from the south tower parking lot 2 weeks ago because the security gate was broken and open for 2 weeks. The couches in the lobby are one has ever shampooed them or cleaned them . People leave trash bags on the front porch. Wifi in this building is nearly non existant, comcast blames the bldg management and they say its cable, always the run around! And it's the only tv wifi service allowed. Most of the good reviews that you will see are from folks in the north tower where the office is located. The south tower is becoming a ------ dump! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!! RENT AT YOUR OWN RISK!! (We've finally had ;re breaking the lease and moving!”
— 18707 EGRET BAY BLVD · HOUSTON“I love, love, love this place. A big shout out to Ri, the new residence Manager and to Edgar, the new Assistant Manager. Thank you guys so much for making the transition pleasurable. I've lived at The Towers a little over a year and I must say safety has never been an issue. The atrium is both peaceful and comfortable. There are rules and regulations that must be adhered to but that is what makes this the place to live. Both towers are equipped with exercise rooms and swimming pools. The grounds are beautiful and well kept, and the water off of the dock, pier, and grounds is to die for on a beautiful day. The maintenance crew is top notch. Warm, friendly, always visible and HONEST. All maintenance issues are addressed in a timely manner. If your looking for a nice place to live, it's The Towers of Clear Lake. You won't be disappointed. See you soon. Donna”
— 18707 EGRET BAY BLVD · HOUSTON“The actual apartment itself is okay. Except for the closet in the second room is about half of the size of the one we were showed. You cannot fit anything in it and I share the closet with my boyfriend. So I suggest asking to see the apartment you will be actually living in before signing the lease. Roaches are everywhere in the lobby and even though I keep my apartment very clean I still see some every other day. When I told maintenance about the roach problem all they did was come up and spray a few areas with something that I can go buy myself from the store. Maintenance has just walked into my apartment numerous times claiming they knocked and assumed I wasn't here, when they obviously didn't because I have a very protective dog who would've heard them if they had knocked. I only knew they were in the apartment once they were opening my bedroom door that I was in still sleeping. Very scary to have strange men walking in your home uninvited. Management was horrible up until a month ago when we got new management. So far with the new management everything has been great. I have seen less roaches and they are renovating all of the unoccupied apartments right now and from what I can see they are a lot nicer. The main thing I like about this apartment though is the noise and safely level. I never hear anything from my neighbors and I feel completely safe coming home late at night. The other residents are extremely friendly and make it better to live here.”
— 18707 EGRET BAY BLVD · HOUSTON“I've been living here since 2014. Apartments are okay. Outdated but clean. They respond fast to maintenance issues. These apartments are perfect for single mothers since there are security cameras around the premises and the parking spaces are close to the building. The view to the lake is very nice as well. Everything is great except the nosy female janitor who likes to follow children around after work hours. She is a resident in the North Towers. This has become a big issue, and has caused a lot of problems, I won't be renewing my lease because of this. Also, please check the apartment unit that you're leasing first before moving in. My apartment was missing the closet rods that costed me $78.00 out of pocket because management refused to install them. Other than this, the complex is pleasant.”
— 18707 EGRET BAY BLVD · HOUSTON“My biggest complaint is that we moved from out-of-state having never seen anything but pictures online of the apartments. They looked great! Originally, we were supposed to be in the North tower, but we needed to start our lease a month later so we were moved to the South tower. I am thinking the North tower must be the one with all the upgrades because ours is quite old and smells of something I can't quite pinpoint. The appliances, cabinets and such are all out-dated and in poor shape. If we were moved into an apartment that looked like the ones they advertised online I would be very happy. That being said, I took some complaints to the office as the last person didn't seem to care about water leaking down her wall, dirty carpets or non-working appliances, missing grout. Norma and Mila were very quick to come up and walk the apartment with me. They promptly sent the maintenance guy up who was very friendly and he has been working on our place for the past few days. I am very pleased they are trying to fix the issues we presented to them. Marie is also quite friendly and I have enjoyed working with her as well. I haven't seen any bugs yet and noise is pretty much non-existent. That is hard to come by, even in luxury apartments. Security is top-notch. I would just advise asking to see the actual unit you will be renting because you don't want to be surprised upon moving in.”
— 18707 EGRET BAY BLVD · HOUSTON“We were deceived by the outside look of this apartment. We moved here 2013. I was 4 months pregnant at that time. Make the story short I almost lost my baby stressed out over this apartment! I encourage everyone not to even go there. Management lie to you. ----- is a big scam bag! Not only that her superviror is un professional! After 3 months of roaches problems, noise, un professional management we knew it's time to go. Thus don't respect your privacy nor your complaint. This is what the supervisor told me " when you are not happy then leave" guess what we packed our stuff and left. They don't deseve a penny! That place is so ------, cops comes every weekend for some drugs or domestic complaints! Roaches is all over this apartment! Please please I beg you don't go here. We used to live by the the landings apartment it's pricey but worth the price! Now we are happy living at the villas at west rd by northwest Houston. I hope you guys read these reviews before you sign up with the towers!”
— 18707 EGRET BAY BLVD · HOUSTON“By the looks of the apartment I thought I was going to have a great experience and this has not at all been the case. I first moved into apartment 107 in the south towers and soon discovered a roach infestation. Although the apartment was fumigated and we cleaned and sprayed the roach infestation was never resolved. During the time we waited a pipe busted upstairs and caused our apartment to flood. Later we were moved into another apartment in the same building. Not even a month later this new apartment flooded. No time of accommodations were made for the inconvenience.”
— 18707 EGRET BAY BLVD · HOUSTON“I lived in one apartment in the South Tower that had a roach infestation that was never resolved despite the fumigation. Dishwasher was constantly breaking. Apartment flooded on two occasions. Staff was not apologetic. Problem was resolved and I was later moved to a different apartment unit. In 3 weeks this other apartment also flooded. It took over 3 days to fix the problem and I was told by corporate that this was a speedy response. Very unsatisfied. Complex looks nice and is in bad shape.”
— 18707 EGRET BAY BLVD · HOUSTON“I have been a resident for 2 years, and have enjoyed my stay.. But will say I agree with some reviews, but all the reviews are very harsh and have to say blown out of potportion. I live on the fourth floor and I have 3 neighbors that have lived here longer than me and are resigning their leases... I would resign, but relocating to dallas.. I do agree my apartment is outdated but the safety you get you can beat, but other apartments are different, not all apartments are the same.. Even though my apartment is outdated and would think woukd acquire these bed bugs, roaches etc.. It doesnt because Im a very clean person with a dog and cat.. Ive never have once seen a roach Norma bed bug.... I do agree noise can be a bit of an issue and children, but staff has always been very good about staying on top of that.. And agree the two female staffs dont care for, one is pretty rude, but if you follow whas expected of you, there is no issue. I have never had any issues.. And office staff has always been very nice to me and have attended to my every needs which have been few... I love meelah and the manager, didnt care for Kathy, but I guess shes moved because there usna new girl.. You do get what you pay for, I agree, but the lrice you pay for these are the same if not better than surrounding properties!!! Take it from someone who researches apartments like crazy, single white female, been on her own for six years and has lived in five different complexes due to having to relocate for jobs... Upon moving to this side of town, I researcged like crazy!! Only other places that worth moving to are 150 to 200 more.. Hidden lakes are nice but minimum 750 for a small apartment, encore on the bay are same price, but run down, and cops are always on the property, harbor Pointe same thing and extremely dirty, only ones for fair comparison is baypointe, but they are incomed restricted and hard to not make over the amount to qualify for apartment.. I would recommend these apartments, and those who graded harshly, are either realky dirty or absue your privillages as tentants.. As ive said, ive lived at 5 different complexes on different parts of town, from kingwood to Clearlake, and ive never had a poor experience or been in trouble with landlords... Its an apartment life, your going to have noise as well soke issues, its the apartment life that your sharing withnalot of different people... If you cant handle that, the apartment life isnt for you, get a house.”
— 18707 EGRET BAY BLVD · HOUSTON“We moved here 3 years ago. We fell in love with the size of the apartment and everyone here was friendly. Fast foward 3 years - the current influx of residents must be coming from the ------. The apartments are still quiet but the class of people moving in is extremely low. Very few pick up after their dogs, evn when they poop in the hall and pee in the elevator. There are families with 3 and 4 kids living in 2 bedroom apartments. This is a direct violation of the lease. There are large dogs over 50 lbs and some of them are aggressive breeds that are not supposed to be allowed, according to the rules. Management continues to send out notices but nothing is enforced. This is NOT a good place for kids. There is no playground and kids are not allowed in the lobby without an adult. There is no lifeguard and your child cannot swim alone untilvthey are 18. Roaches are a major problem. I have even taken them to work with me in my purse! On the plus side, maintenance is prompt and you dont hear noises from your neighbors.”
