PARK PLAZA APARTMENTS LLC · avg 2.4 ★★★★★ · Houston
“Parking sucks because people have more than one car or business vans that are way too big to be parked near cars because you have to squeeze in to get in your car. My car door has been dinged plenty of times because of this. They really dont have an office staff its kind of like whoever is in the office can help which is usually one of the 3 Asian men. They always seem to have an excuse for everything when you ask for things to be fixed. I do see other apartments getting renovated but it seems as if its only the people they know. Because of the renovations they want to raise the rent again. Ive seen a lot of illegal activity going on around the complex and inside as well. And most of all they have roaches and bed bugs in the apartment. Ive seen mattresses thrown in the dumpster every week because of this. Please reconsider moving here.”

My a/c was finicky when I first moved in, and all together gave out within the first 2 weeks of my being there, but I just called the office, and the maintenance guy came out within minutes and had it running perfectly. My apartment overlooked the pool, which is always nice. I had great neighbors! I even recommended the complex to two friends, who ended up leasing units in the same area as me! Overall it was a great place to live. It was a generally quiet complex. There would be an occasional loud neighbor, but people were respectful of each other. The complex itself was kept tidy. I rarely saw trash on the ground, and the buildings were maintained well. My only real complaint with the complex was the lack of adequate parking for visitors, but if you called the towing company and let them know you had a visitor, gave them the vehicle information, and a call back number, they worked with you on the situation.”

The staff has been changed quite a bit but I finally think that in the past 6 months the staff has kept the property full. My neighbors have changed throughout these months but changes have been for the better. I like the fact that its heading in the right direction in which now I get to see familiar faces coming home after work and thats a good feeling. Gates are kept up as well which that is a good thing for me......”

They creep in your food and crawl around everywhere. I was sickened by the place, I no longer ate in it because of the roaches. Please avoid it, not worth the money.”

The apartments inside have been upgraded to meet the level that attracts a good Resident. The outside is being competly redone to give a new and fresh look that everyone will be proud to call home. I think you will love this new place, check it out.”

Cons: Parking-This is a small apartment complex, so you would think there wouldnt be any as many cars here, but no there are a million cars park here by people who don't live here, making it hard for people who do live here. Plus the apartment makes you pay $10 for assigned parking if you live on the west side of the building. There is a man who uses the parking lot to sell broke down cars, the parking is terrible. Crime- When I first moved here around 2007, there weren't many people here, but now there all sorts of people hanging outside in the middle of the night doing who knows what. There are alot of shady people outside, I heard there was drugs being sold around here. My family bike was stolen off our porch, as well the neigbhor across from us bike. Apartment- The aparmtent complex is small, majority of it is one bedrooms, then about 14 is 2 bedrooms/1 bath and there are some efficenys. Instead of putting down grass, they put down rocks which gives the apartment a bad look and can be dangerous. The apartment is on Westpark street which is a very busy street, it very hard to enjoy my balcony that faces westpark, when there is a million cars going by. Like most houston apartments, there are no lights in the rooms, the only problem I've had was with the closet doors, that won't keep shut and other that won't close as easily. Management- The managers are too cheap to hire real companies, so they have two men who lives here to do most of the work, they try their best. They finally got a soda machine last year, but is defective, sometimes it takes your money. There are always new managers coming who don't care for the teneat, they only care about the money, During Hurricane Ike, we learned that the next door apartment complex had a generator, while the people here had to be in the dark for 10 days, this is how cheap and unprepared there are. This is definately not the greatest apartment and considering the price, you can get something better in another location at the same price a month. If you can put up with the stuff above, then feel free to move in.”
