— 7979 WESTHEIMER RD · Houston“I moved in about just one week I registered my car and my car still got towed last night 09/11/2023. When I call the leasing office they said I should go around to look for vacant parking spot whereas 90% of the parking spots are reserved this is not honest at all .Moreover we have a lot of roaches and the other day I saw a mouse in my closet. I place a work order but until now more than 96hours no answer. Some holes in the closet... I will not recommend that place to anyone.”
— 7979 WESTHEIMER RD · Houston“this place is so dirty, bathtub is broken, bugs EVERYWHERE, kitchen is not sanitary, and very very old. Never move here. The outside is ok, but my roof is completely broken down. The bed is also very old and gross. please look for a new apartment.”
— 7979 WESTHEIMER RD · Houston“I currently live in the 7979 Westheimer Apartments Homes in Houston. The towing company tried to tow my car(with handicap parking tag) last night(06.13.2021) and also I have the tenant parking sticker on the car. After we stopped them and getting my car back, they came back after midnight. And they stabbed the two wheels of my other car. When I realized the flat tires I talked to the security guy. But He said there is no security camera in this property. This was not the first issue that we had. Before this time our some stuffs like bicycle, table, etc. had stolen from our apartment. As soon as my contract end, I AM GOING TO LEAVE THE PLACE. I will never ever recommend anyone to live here for safety purposes.”
— 7979 WESTHEIMER RD · Houston“Experience so far very bad and I’ve only been here for a week. Roaches! Bugs! Insects! Apartment old and not clean at all! They take time to fix ur problems that is if they get it fixed! Unfortunately I had no choice or time to look somewhere else or else this wouldnt be an option of mine”
— 7979 WESTHEIMER RD · Houston“This is by far the worst place I've ever lived in. This is why: 1- the gate sucks, there's always tons of people waiting on you to open 2- Parking sucks, My car got towed twice. The Diablo tow trucking company has a contract with the apartments where they will toe the car even if it has a parking permit. Its like a mafia and you cant do anything about it. most of the parking spots are taken, reserved, and you be lucky if you find a spot! To reserve a spot you need to pay an extra $25 a month and it's not close to your apartment. If you have a visitor visiting his car will most definitely get towed since there are no visitor spots. Also the parking lot has too many cracks and bumps with a lot of trash. 3- These apartments are very unsafe. I had a break in on 05/24/2018. There's a growing homeles community right next to apartments. In January someone stole 4 new tires and rims of a brand new car and the next day the car was sitting on four bricks. 4- The inside designed in a way that you can smell the food of your neighbor 24/7, you can hear them talking and farting in their bathroom. Apartments are too close to each other, very annoyingly smelly and dirty. 5- Maintenance: good luck getting something fixed. They keep delaying and ignoring you, be very rude, basically treat you like you begging for money, and when they decide to fix it, they don't do it right. Cockroaches everywhere, in the kitchen, and flying once, wasps (alot), rats, and all kind of bugs. 6- Rent: is NOT cheap, and after the first contract they raise it about $90 to $130 a month. 7- Gym is a joke, a couple of broken machines and rusty weights. The pool is dirty, and always crowded with all kind of people. * Advise: Don't even think about living here!!”
— 7979 WESTHEIMER RD · Houston“The service is horrible, they just cut water for Hours without any prior notice that too on weekends and their emergency support especially Samantha is really rude and rough. There is always either water, drainage or power issues!!! So i don't recommend this to anyone. I have been a resident here for a long time n am now looking to break my lease.”

This is why: 1- To start by getting in; the gate sucks, there's always tons of people waiting on you to open so they can get it, they get in front of you. And sometimes you would have to wait in the middle of the street. 2- Parking sucks, most of the parking spots are taken, reserved, and you be lucky if you find a spot! To reserve a spot you need to pay an extra $25 a month and it's not close to your apartment, it gets flooded, and you can't park anywhere else once you reserve it, even if it's flooded. Also the parking lot has too many cracks and bumps with a lot of trash. 3- The weirdest community I've ever seen! a bunch of indian people randomly standing between cars laughing loudly and block cars, and their kids are very annoying. The kids would ride their bikes next to your apartment door, wake you up from a nap, scratch your car and much worse. They hunk their horns at least 10 times a day in the apartment. Everyone is very rude. 4- The inside designed in a way that you can smell the food of your neighbor 24/7, you can hear them talking and farting in their bathroom. — 7979 WESTHEIMER RD · Houston“I still live in this Community and its the worst management I have ever seen. Wouldn't suggest this apartment even to my enemies. Not safe: My apartment has been broke twice in a month and took all my things You ll find beer cases near your car. No matter how many times you raise”
— 7979 WESTHEIMER RD · Houston“I lived in 7979 apattments for a year , its really good , the people and the services are great its very safe place to live in , that staff are just awesome and freindly , specially jessy and maria coz i always talk to them if i have any issue and others too”
— 7979 WESTHEIMER RD · Houston“Not a good place to live at all, frequent repairs, roaches, bed bugs, bumpy roads, uncleaned swimming pools. The washing machines do not work, the leasing office takes $2 service fee for every payment through online portal, as they do not accept checks by hand, Gym is scrap and there no kids play areas. No outdoor sports. Do not blindly trust people here. Had bad experiences. The rents are cheap though. Frequent maintenance problems and sewage leaks.”
— 7979 WESTHEIMER RD · Houston“When I first moved into this apartment complex I was surprised at how low the rent was and how big of space I got for it. I thought I had got a deal. But oh how things change... First of foremost I will say that the staff in the office is horrible. They forget to put work orders, answer rudly, and basically have no care for residents in my opinion. Maintenance was a huge issue. The workers were incompetent. They took forever to fix an issue. And when I say fix I mean tweak it as best they can and not really take care of the issue. I had a leak in my ceiling and the ceiling actually caved in on me when I was in the shower. The ceiling never got repaired the only thing they fixed was the leak after I called almost 4 times to fix it. There was a hole in the ceiling for almost two months up until I moved out. When I first moved in I thought I had hit a deal based on how low the rent was I was paying almost $680. But when I renewed my lease for some reason my rent and jumped up almost $100. And for the space that I'm getting the location where and all the issues that were coming along I felt that I was overpaying for sure. They would have water issues with their cut off the water. The water pressure was low. It was bedbugs there was roaches. The trash is always over flowing. The residents walk around after 8 o'clock and you have to be very cautious when driving there because they won't let their children run around without supervision. The security is a joke. The gate issue is huge, you have to have a card in order for you to open the gate there is no code. All in all I will never recommend somebody moving into apartment. They are horrible. After I moved out I thought a huge side of relief. They can keep my deposit money as I don't want anything to do with them after I moved out.”
— 7979 WESTHEIMER RD · Houston“I lived @7979 more than a year. It is very nice place to live. Staffs are very friendly. Rent also reasonable. I would recommend 7979.”
— 7979 WESTHEIMER RD · Houston“I lived at 7979 from August 28, 2014 to August 31, 2015. When I first moved to this complex I was so excited to find a place that was under 900 a month, but then the issues began. The first issues I had within a few days of living here, I discovered my "Wash room" that was added on right before I moved in, was built about 8 Inches to shallow. I complained to the front office and I was continually told that the problem was my washer (I had a regular size washer/dryer units). They finally agreed to "fix" the issue. When I got home after the contractor had "fixed" the room, I had discovered they just put up some plywood extenders onto the door frame and expected me to let them attach the bifold doors onto that and call it a day. I ended up having to contact HAA to get the issue resolved. In March 2015, I woke up at 2 am to a busted pipe in the ceiling. I understand things happen, but the way the repair was handled was very disappointing. The drywall person hired to fix the ceiling patched the hole up with a new piece of drywall and slapped some white paint over that dry wall, THATS IT! no tape, no texture, and float. I also had HUGE ROACHES for the last 8 months of my lease. I am a very clean person and never left food or crumbs out. The roach problem continued on throughout my the remainder of my lease. Then, around May of 2015, the complex kept all of the pools on properly closed for roughly 2 months for reason unknown. A constant issue on this property to add to the list is the majority of the residents that reside there like to come out right at sunset and walk (entire families) around the entire complex. This would not be an issues if it stopped right at dark, but it continues on until about 1030 at night causing major issues when trying to park your car; there are just so many people out walking around late at night that it causes a huge issue PARKING! Nearing the end of my lease, I gave my 60 day notice and at move out I thoroughly cleaned the apartment from top to bottom. I moved out on August 31, 2015. It took this property management company 1 month and 14 days to give me a partial deposit back (which I had to drive down to pick up because they couldn't seem to get it in the mail). I say partial because they charged me $25 dollars extra to "clean" the restroom and kitchen. If I had pictures after I moved out to send to HAA, I would have sent them. I must say the newer manager of the property Jessi is a very polite and professional lady; I hope she is able to do something positive with this property. The office was always very good about calling and checking up on repairs that were called in to make sure the work was complete; I will give them that. I would advise anyone that is searching in this area for a decent place to live for around $800-900 a month should look else-where.”
“Pros: - If you want everything at walking distance. I like the location. - For this Rent at this location..these are really good. Cons: These apartments are good.....If you have not seen average/good apartments. but these are not bad. .. If you can live with roaches..bed bugs..and besides living with them ..if you can kill 10-15 roaches everyday.. then these apartments are good. At least I managed to fix bed bugs problem after spending around $50-$100..But many people are not that good at it. - Parking is also a problem.. but it is OK.. because if you are at home before 6.. you are good. -- Worst ever staff... they have no value for their commitments.. they keep changing their statements..But you need to deal with staff some time only.. so it is OK... --During Rainy season.. the Corridor for my apartment split into small lakes.. so you cross it and end up reaching home with all wet shoes..but rain is not all the time.. so just avoid this comment... ..Swimming pools are clean sometimes....since you do not go to pool everyday.. it is OK.. I had membership outside.. so i did not use it much.. Some of the apartments in the community are good.. So nothing wrong in trying it..”

— 7979 WESTHEIMER RD · Houston“Advertisement they put on Apartment.com is not real, I rented a TH 3Bed and 3 Bathroom unit and it is mentioned that it has washer and dryer in unit, when I made my contract they said it is not availabel (only hook-up connection). now I have to rent it or to buy. what a shame.”
— 7979 WESTHEIMER RD · Houston“Okay, so I've been searching for my dream apt and I have to say 7979 has pretty much everything that I am looking for. I notice that there are a lot of comments about water shortages and issues with the apartments, but what older apartment complex doesn't have those issues? I thoroughly enjoyed my tours and loved how the apartments come with washer and dryer connections. I have looked at 7979 several times in the last year, and yeah the price may have gone up quite a bit, but once you see the changes they have done you can see why. I toured three times before, twice with Christy and recently again, (don't remember the ladies name, but had gorgeous blonde high lights!). Both ladies were so professional and knowledgeable about everything. There was not one question they could not answer. I am still shopping around (since I'm not looking to move for the next 5 months) but will definitely keep 7979 in mind. The location is perfect, i like how it is a gated community, the office is professional and the grounds are kept so clean and are super quiet. Loved this place and hope to call it my new home once my contract finishes.”
