“lived there for a few years. 1. dirty. disgusting mice from holes in the wall ran everywhere in my rooms. 2. unsafe. my car in the parking lots was broken into for twice. 3. unprofessional rude manager.”

“mouse everywhere ,terrible living place .Manager was discrimination for Chinese.He want Chinese to live here ,but treat them rude if you the apartment have issue.As you see the picture ,and I also have some vedio to record the mouse .Manager is not a honest guy,he likes lie to people ,terrible .by the way ,be carefull the bedbug, some apartment also have the bedbud.”

“This is the shittest place I've ever stayed. The manager always try to set you up for monthly rent and the charges he made. The washer/dryers are like ----, really dirty and you don't even want to do laundry here. The staff never show up to fix problems, and they also charge you for the maintenance.”

“I've lived here for a year and a half. Overall, I felt like part of the community even though I was a graduate student who barely spent time at the complex. The Manager made sure that everything was alright, and checked in regularly for any complaints. If there was any issue, it was fixed at a timely manner. The families at the complex are all very diverse and I loved that vibe, it represents the area well. Most seem like regular families with younger children, and some are students. I felt safe at all times. I had to move out because I finished school but I'm leaving a review for Mo the best manager of all places I've lived :)! They are very attentive to your circumstances, especially to foreign students. Less hassle than any other place and I even got my deposit back in full even though I left before the lease was up. Yes, it may not be the most new development, but considering the price and the level of service - it's a great place to live. The area has great food of all kinds of cuisine - which really makes me miss it even more!”

“Scottwood is definitely the best you can find in this area! My roommates and I are all single female student at TMC and this is the apartment we've been staying since we first came to Houston. Our manager, Mr. Mo, is always welcome, gentle and very sincere. All the other staff are very polite and responsible. Maintenance onsite and they respond really fast. For single ladies like us, safety is always our priority concern. But this community has been very safe since I moved in. With security camera in use, the management really are improving safety in our community. The management even decorate the whole community with various flowers, which is so lovely and fabulous. BTW, our community never experience power cut, while many friends of mine who live in UT housing experience all the time. All our neighbors are highly educated people and very nice, and you can hear children playing happily around our swimming pool. Public transportation can never be better. There is a bus station located right outside of the community, which can get you to TMC or China town within 25 minutes. In sum, I love this place and I will choose to stay here as long as I'm in Houston.”

“the place is quiet close to TMC, close to transportation and to the loops as well. you are surrounded by all the facilities at a short walking to driving distances. The neighborhood is safe and the prices are very decent for the apartments that are quiet big and clean. they are spending a lot of effort to improve this complex. I have been living there for 2 years now and I have witnessed a lot of improvements. The facility isn't perfect, but it is quiet good value for the price and accessibility. Also the managers are very friendly and they listen and provide timely help. Neighbors are mostly families and they are quiet and decent. there is definitely some space for more improvements including the on site laundry that needs more improvements. but other than that, the place works fine for me”

“I have moved in since July 2014 and am about to move out in the end of this year because I need to move out from Houston. I have seen this apartment has been improved so much during this year. The manager and staff have put so much effort to get this community so much better. They are friendly and easy to talk to. They would do their jobs efficiently. The security and landscape have improved so much as well. Lots of tenants are Chinese Scholars visitors or students. They also upgrade their security system.The rent price in this area is really attractive too. I enjoy living here.”

“Nice apartments. Helpful staff they are a bit strict on policies but they good. Not enough parking space. Newly installed cameras for safely. New upgrades every now and then rent is a bit high but its worth it lots of things in surroundings like, school, restaurants, parks, gym.”

“Discussing place to live. Roaches inside and Cats everywhere outside. Trash everywhere due to no cleaning staff onsite only at night. Laundry room still sucks, new washers came in, but a quarter was increased and still no hot water to wash your whites. Parking lot is a mess with individuals that can't seem to park in between the lines. Rent is high and the shady paid shop next door creates over spray on vehicles. Over all it's not a good place to live, the new chairs by the pool create notice after hours because people lounge on them as if it's there own living room. Maintenance personnel don't speak English making it hard to communicate during repairs, but then again office personnel can barely speak it as well. Money spent on new plants and cheap cameras needs to go towards leaks and ac repairs... dont forget the gas smell outside.”

“this is the worst place I have ever lived. the management is horrible. be careful about the lease you sign, they try to slick your money in every possible aspect. if the AC does not work, they said "you broke the AC, it is going to cost your money to fix it" if you ask them to change a bulb, they charge you a huge bucks. the bricks on the wall of the apartment is likely falling down. the laundry is very dirty. you smell the gas every day. there are rats and roaches everywhere, yes, even inside the apartment. there are gross smells in the apartment everything they used is extremely cheap here. be prepared. any maintenance request, be prepared to wait for a month and possible pay money for that. maintenance staff have no so-called skills or technique. if you live here, you will find it is a big mistake you made. be careful they will try to cheat on rent and lease. they also cheat on square feet. Don't move here. They just want to take your hard-making money from your pocket. Horrible place. and by the way, it is not cheaper comparing to nearby apartments.”

“Here is very dirty, there are a lot of bugs here. The service here is very bad. We have to email to the manager many times ,before they let the worker to fix. The wall and the bottom of the swimming pool are often very dirty. How can we swim in the apartment's swimming pool? No children playing facilities except the swimming pool. In a raining day, there are a lot of water in the apartments, poor drainage system, so that people can not walk in the apartment.”

“I move here looks good inside but outside is dirty and agly the office people at the begining they act frendly and they tell you everithing is color pink but ones you give them money they star charging you for everithing, parking,late fees,car stickers a lots of money for deposit and mantance is very slow if you ask for something to get fix they will send you help in about 4 days to a week or may not get fix i dont recomend this place but if you want to move here get ready to spend your money on hiden fees good luck.”

“Don't move here. There's rats everywhere. yes inside the actual apartments, it's very gross, had to terminate the contract due to that. Got my car towed about 3 times. They just want to take your money. Horrible place. MOVE HERE IF YOU WANT TO LIVE IN A PLACE FULL OF RATS.”

“if you looking for value, it will be hard to beat this place. i was paying for a huge one bedromm $550, i worked in the medical center and did not have a car and it was perfect the blue line come to the door (on Bellaire st side). Again it was not a manshion but awesome for the price”
