MEADOWBROOK PLAZA APTS LP · avg 2.4 ★★★★★ · Houston
“Even tho I'm new to the community residents are nice and calm no loud noise at night and people keep to themselves, the area of the community feels safe. And the complex it's close to a lot of stores and metro stops and it's across the street from my kids school which is a big plus. Office staff is friendly and try to get it done fast whatever the issue is or if you just have questions or complaints. Nice place overall.”
— 600 E LITTLE YORK RD · HOUSTON“I lived in this neighborhood for since 2015 to bow. Good community, bus transportation, fast food, and restaurant. It's mostly -------- area. Great gas station nearby. Might could find the houses around this community.”
— 600 E LITTLE YORK RD · HOUSTON“Positive outcomes are: Great landscaping, very quiet, affordable rent, neighbors are nice, parking spaces have improved, maintenance is currently improving with the new app to report work orders, paying rent with the app is very convenient, just use your bank account to avoid fees, security responds well with noise and evicts if neighbors don't follow the rules. Negatives - vandalized mail boxes and vehicle, entrance gate doesn't work properly, trespassers are thiefs that come to destroy property which can be fixed by updating mail box security and entrance gate.”
— 600 E LITTLE YORK RD · HOUSTON“Till date i am living in this Appt but they r not providing me any service after giving work requests, they go on increasing my rent, my floor have to be changed, need cooking range, all my pending job”
— 600 E LITTLE YORK RD · HOUSTON“The community is quite & hardly any problems with the neighbors. The apartment is near the school, grocery stores & a few shopping centers. Overall, it a great place to start your new home. Highly recommend this apartment”
— 600 E LITTLE YORK RD · HOUSTON“It is a nice place to rooms are spacious you can sleep peaceful only day you will get disturb is when they come to cut the grass and when the garbage truck come to pick up the garbage. Orelse everything is good.”
— 600 E LITTLE YORK RD · HOUSTON“The apartments have a good look from outside.Inside they need more work done due to lack of electricity and leaking water problems I heard from other neighbors they have same issues. There's people that throw trash(beer bottles) anywhere they walk.I Would say atleast 1 sigh parking lot for an apartment.”
— 600 E LITTLE YORK RD · HOUSTON“Appartment is good but Maintence service is poor service can be improved by giving YES attitude treat your coustmer as your guest not as a coustmer like it come and go tell your guest that guest is always right”
— 600 E LITTLE YORK RD · HOUSTON“Have no words to express...disappointed with maintenance issues...has been reported 2 weeks back water is leaking under the dishwasher ...wooden cabinets about to collapse due to soaking ..food processing unit chocked stinks bad... visited office 2 times , was told that it will be looked at on the next day. But till date nothing has been done Appt 4402”
— 600 E LITTLE YORK RD · HOUSTON“I moved into these apartments in September of 2018 and here it is January 2019 and I am ready to move out. The rent is due every month in full and on time but you have to wait weeks on end for maintenance repairs to be completed. Front off staff continuously send out notices for "alleged" lease violations but do not enforce those same violations committed by other tenants. Bicycle's, tall patio chair and a raised but stuck window blind was the violation of lease that I committed. Tedious is a nice word to describe that. Not to mention that the property has multiple random dogs on the loose with no regards to the safety of the tenants. Office closes you'll see all the bbq pits, 12 packs of beer and loud music played to loudest decibels known to Man. At this point I feel that I made a bad choice moving in to this apartment community. I have yet to have an actual good experience being here and looking to move as soon as my lease expires.”
— 600 E LITTLE YORK RD · HOUSTON“I love that they keep the property so clean. Neighbors are so quite but There are a lot of tree roaches. Pest control outside is needed tho. I sprayed around my whole side and we have dead roaches all over now.”
— 600 E LITTLE YORK RD · HOUSTON“I lived here for a long while I stay to my self and nobody bothers me and I don't bother anyone around me. Maintenance some times take a while to fix issues in my apartment and sometime they come the same day.”
— 600 E LITTLE YORK RD · HOUSTON“This has to be the most nastiest and the most horrible place i have EVER lived!!!! Roaches, bed bugs, mold, mildew, and stained walls and floors!!! My walls in the dining area are rotting do to the dishwasher keeps backing up into the pipes!!! The staff and management is horrible and very inconsiderate to the residence needs!!! They don't fix ANYTHING!!! The stove have shocked my son for the second time now and not to mention i have reported that the stove have a shortage NUMEROUS times!!! My children keeps weazing while they it's from the roaches!! The A.C blows only cool air as if i have just a fan running!! The fridge doesn't work!! I have been here a year and only made groceries ONCE!! FRKN SAD!! Sandy and Cathy are SUPPOSE to be the managers but whenever i have talked to them it was like and O WELL conversation and they say they'll send someone but never do!!! My ceiling fell as soon as i stepped out the shower one night, they took like 2 months before they came to fix it!!! Half the sockets doesn't work and keeps catching on whatever reason!!! My door was kicked in 6 months ago and my window was broken out 2 months ago. I took the police report in the office the next day to have it fixed, but NOPE they still haven't fixed it!!! I have had to call the health department and the home owners association just to get some things done around this dumpster that they call a place to live!!! The roaches should be paying the rent since they run this deplorable filth!!!!! I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO MY WORST ENEMY!!!”
— 600 E LITTLE YORK RD · HOUSTON“Me and My Bro love it Here , so Yes I recommend it to Anyone .. It's descent .. just got some ignorant ppl living here but hey IDC Longest Everyone minds their own business won't be a problem !!. These apts are the cleaniness ones on Little York I'll Tell you that :D”
— 600 E LITTLE YORK RD · HOUSTON“I have been living here since 2008 the rent just went up to $966.00 a month. Also the maintenance guy is lazy and the lady's that works in the office are lazy also.. They got this parking sticker and supposedly tow truck was going to be checking if whoever don't have a sticker will be towed. THAT'S NOT TRUE I NEVER SEE A TIE TRUCK!!! The only reason why I have been living here for so many year's in these apartments is because I don't qualify to buy a house my income is low but trust me. "I DON'T RECOMMEND ANYONE TO MOVE INTO THESE APARTMENT COMPLEX"!!!!!!.. The only thing that is nice is the front office..”
— 600 E LITTLE YORK RD · HOUSTON“Its weird how residents talk bad about this apartments but community is always 100% occupied......This tells me people LOVE to live there ??, roaches wouldn't be your pets if you clean your apartment in a daily basis, drinking and drug problem wouldn't exists if you as a resident don't do drugs or drink, office staff wouldn't be "rude" if you approach them with respect ( common sense) apartment wouldn't be destroyed from the inside If you take care of THE PLACE IS YOUR HOME! Things don't just get destroyed but itself.”
— 600 E LITTLE YORK RD · HOUSTON“Bad maintanance service. The laundry rooms are useless because the machines don't work only in like one of them. They tow your car just for not having a sticker but they don't have enough visitor parking spaces either.”
— 600 E LITTLE YORK RD · HOUSTON“I have had a bad experience in these apartments. I have to constantly remind staff to get my work orders done. Staff is very rude and unprofessional. I don't recommend these apartments to anyone. They don't follow the contract. Very upset!!”
— 600 E LITTLE YORK RD · HOUSTON“The noise level is horrible! The neighbors blast there music and wake me up on a constant basis! The roaches are horrible and maintenance are called for my air-conditioning problem that they can't seem to fix! I'm moving as soon as possible..”
— 600 E LITTLE YORK RD · HOUSTON“I very happy to live in this apartments. The only thing is the parking lot. You are not organized with oarking lot assigned. It is a serious problem when you come after work abd activities abd you dont find parking lot in front o close your apartment or building. It very frustrating. I hope you can pay attention to this and assigned parking lot no just stickers. Rent is ok and property and staff are doing very good job.”
— 600 E LITTLE YORK RD · HOUSTON“These apts are the worse i would never advise anyone to stay here not even my enemy. These are the Pros and Cons of staying here: Cons *large stray dogs walking around and chasing ppl and cars. I told the apt manager (with her lazy ---) and she said to call SPCA so when i did SPCA said the manager is supposed to call in when i told her she obviously didn't call because they're still here. *Never have a parking spot close to your apt. Residents park all in the gas, handi-cap spots, fire zone, and near the curve. We all got parking stickers the office said we needed them because the tow man was going to start coming smh lies. *anyone can move in here they will hook you up no id, job, needed *residents throw trash everywhere all in the parking lot *the dumpsters are always full *the women that work in the office are lazy as hell and they never all have the same info *residents are loud and disrespectful *rent is high like these are some nice, clean apts *grafitti all on the outside the apts *they never can keep a maintainence man *laundry room barely works *the outside lights never hardly come on *these apartments are falling apart outside and inside *every security guard they hire is lazy and never walk around the apts *ppl have dogs (pitbulls) and cats and dont pay pet deposit or for the animals at all PROS its some good elementary schools near by De Chaumes and Lyons Elementary. i'm done DON'T MOVE HERE...”
— 600 E LITTLE YORK RD · HOUSTON“I will give the pros and cons of moving into these apartments... PROS *it's easy to get approved in there *the manager is nice CONS *it's easy to get approved in there *the females in the office are lazy *it's a new maintenance man every 2-3 months *they let anyone move in with any amount of people in the apartment and any amount of cars *there's alot of aggressive stray dogs wondering around *the apartments are dirty outside *there's trash every where outside *it's never anywhere to park *rent went up and the price is too high compared to the apartment *the gates don't work hardly ever *the tenants are loud and rude *the security guards always are lazy *everyone has a pet no one pays a deposit or monthly for them *it's a lot of illegals here *kids always skip school there and vandalized the property So if you want to or thinking about moving there there are some pros and cons for you...”
— 600 E LITTLE YORK RD · HOUSTON“I have had bad experience about security. Three times I have been victim of vandalism. The window of my car has been broken and my car has been opened. No parking lot assigned for residents. There are a lot cars in the property and I have seen that there are more than two cars per apartment.”
— 600 E LITTLE YORK RD · HOUSTON“WORST APARTMENTS EVER... I wouldn't advise my worst enemy to stay here... The women in the office are LAZY, it's dogs running all around not just small dogs but BIG dogs and when I told the office manager she just told me to call the dog catcher. They don't care who has dogs or cats no one pays a pet deposit or pay monthly for their pets. They let anyone move in not caring how many ppl stay in one apt. After 6:30 p.m its nowhere to park so most likely you have to park either far away from your apt or outside the gate where the visitors park. The gates are open most of the time so anyone can come in and break in your car. Someone broke in my bf in the broad daylight and no one "saw who did it". Its dirty trash all in the drive way and on the side of the dumpsters. The neighbors are loud day and nighttime during the week and on weekends. They stomp up and down the stairs late night and early morning. The maintenance is good and nice!! And its also roaches galore inside the apts they seem to just pop up after you get your apt exterminated (I don't know if my neighbors had roaches I believe they did b/c they were dirty) and I started seeing little bugs when I cooked by my stove I called for the exterminator and when he came he told me they were called rice weevils I still couldn't get rid of them.. Oh and the security guards don't do their job they sit in the front of the apts and "chill" all night the last security guard used to be in the back of the apts getting high with the dudes that stay in the back. Its a different guard every other week... DO NOT MOVE HERE YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED...”
— 600 E LITTLE YORK RD · HOUSTON“I lived here for almost a year and a half and I am happy to be leaving this weekend! One of the first things I witnessed when I just moved in was neighbors drinking and using drugs out in the open walking down the complex. There was also drug dealers walking back and forth selling drugs out in the open. There was always cops coming when they got called out almost every weekend. I have heard all kinds of stories about cars getting broken into but didnt really believe it until I saw it for myself. My neighbors Expedition got his window smashed because some thieves tried to steal his radio. As soon as I heard what was going on I ran out and scared them away before the could steal anything. A month later they moved out. About 8 months ago my car got hit in the parking lot, who? I dont know. I just remember walking up to my car and noticed a bad dent by the rear panel on the side of the car. Someone must have reversed with their wheels turned too much and hit my car when they were backing out saturday night. Then a little over a month ago I woke up on another Sunday morning just to find out that my wheels and tires were stolen from my car. The thieves left my car sitting on 2 big slabs of concrete. Where is the security? I dont know what he gets paid to do? He parks at the front of the complex and stays there most of the night. He doesnt even drive around to check the rest of the complex. Well just 1 week ago they broke into my apartment but fortunately I was home at the time because when they heard me talking on my cell phone the ran out the door. I did report all incidents to the main office and got police reports but all they did was make copies and that was that. The ladies in the office came across to me like they didnt care about my situation. They didnt tell me what measures they would take to prevent these types of situations from happening again. Well I move out tomorrow and cant wait to leave these apartments. PLEASE DO NOT MOVE TO MEADOWBROOK! MANAGER'S OFFICE JUST CARE ABOUT YOUR MONEY AND NOT YOUR BELONGINGS!!! YOU CAN HAND THEM ANY AMOUNT OF POLICE REPORTS AND THEY STILL WOULD NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT!!! STAY AWAY or BETTER YET FIND A HOME! THANKS FOR READING THIS!”
