THESE APARTMENT ARE UNPROFFESIONAL THEY CONSTANLY CHANGE LIKE YOU CHANGE UNDERWEAR?!!!.... ALWAYS NEW PEOPLE IN THE OFFICE THEY CAN NEVER KEEP MANGERS HERE FOR LONG...... CAROL OKD ----- --- ONLY LOOK OUT FOR HER KIND MEXICAN ONLY!!!!! ALSO HER BREATH STINK AND SHE ALWAYS MUST SHE VERY OLD BUT ACT LIKE SHE YOUNGER !!!!.... NOTHING BUT CRACKHEADS AND DRUG DEALERS WALK AROUND THESE APARTMENTS THE POLICE ARE ALWAYS HERE!!!! WHICH IS SAD ITS ALWAYS FIGHTING HERE......... “Recently, I moved into my new apartment at Inwood Grove. Bianca, Emily, Irene and the rest of the staff have been pleasant, professional and really on top of things. My apartment looks brand new. The maintenance staff pays attention to detail when fine tuning the interior. Everything was ready on time and as promised. Thank you!”

“DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! I just recently moved out of these horrible apartments and the yr that I stayed with them was completely awful and full of problems. When I moved it the carpet was filthy and full of stains. Porch was full of leaves and trash and the bathtub was dirty. I wrote everything down on the report tenants are given when they moved in. I turned it in and when I move out the lady at the desk tells me that they don't have it on file so I must not have turned one in. So basically they lost my report and blamed it on me. And they will charge me for their already filthy carpet and I did ask for it to be changed but of course they have nothing on record of that. Their maintenance is horrible. About 2 months into my lease the bottom portion of my refrigerator stopped working. I asked for it to be fixed. Like 2 weeks later someone finally came to check on it and they said it needed a new part that they would have to order. I waited a week(At the point I have only been keeping frozen foods for my 2 yr daughter and I in the freezer)for the piece to arrive and when no one comes to fix my fridge I go down to the office and they kept giving me the excuse that it had not arrived yet. And it kept going like that. I kept calling (and when u call they don't answer and if they do and you have a question and they don't have an answer they tell they will call you back, but they never do) and going to the office until finally had a worker come in to check it and he felt bad that it had almost been 2 months and my fridge still wasn't working so he replaced it with one that was working from an empty unit. A couple months later my kitchen lights would go on and off and started to flicker constantly. I asked for them to fix it and it look almost a month for them to send someone out. When they came out to see I let them know it need to replaced or fix because I cannot have these flickering lights in my house because of my 2 yr daughter(it could cause a seizure). I let them know the AC wasn't working properly and they never fixed it. There's always a bad smells that comes from it. and it takes a while for it to turn on and it only has one temperature. (Really cold) It always has to be at 70 or lower for it to work if its anything higher like 75 it will not turn on. When I put in my 60 day notice they kept harassing me, asking me when I had time to come and renew my lease. Knowing very well that I wasn't going to renew. I got about 5 calls asking me the same thing over and over again. They want people to stay because they know they don't have enough people yet when people live there they treat them like crap. This is the 1st time an apartment complex has harassed me so much after after putting in my notice. Leasing office people are horrible there's someone new there like every month i went to pay rent.(Also I was never late for my rent) The neighborhood is also extremely dangerous. There were so many times the cops would be at the apartments. There are always shady people outside watching you(Day and night). Over Horrible, horrible, horrible place!!! DO NOT MOVE HERE! The rent that is paid it not worth all the crap the people at the office will give you and not worth how unsafe you'll feel and be. WROST apartments I have ever lived in!!!!”

“After a hard chain of events following the great depression of 2008, my family and I were blessed with the opportunity to get a voucher for housing. We've always been partial to the NW side of Houston and decided to check out Inwood Grove as it is a somewhat isolated complex on Alabonson and seemed quiet to us as we used to live in the Townhomes around the corner at 7027 Alabonson back before the bottom fell out of the economy and we lost our jobs. My wife and I called the apts and spoke to the troglodyte in the office and even though we had a voucher and ONE broken lease we were informed we would need a triple deposit to rent there as they are a "second chance" apartment. She also stated that we needed to present check stubs etc, yet that was not the problem was the triple deposit. So being the no b.s. husband and wife team we are we called the Houston Housing Authority and reported them. Come to find out they weren't even vetted by the HHA and the HHA informed us that the triple deposit was unnecessary as we have a voucher thus negating the need for an extensive credit check and deposit they required due to the fact that the HHA GUARANTEES the rent will be paid REGARDLESS of our credit or financial status. The young lady at the HHA (whom of which I WILL NOT NAME) instructed us with all her might "DO NOT MOVE THERE. THAT IS A SCAM. THEY WILL UTILIZE THE 1ST PORTION OF THE DEPOSIT AND POCKET THE REST. THE ARE SCAMMERS" So, if there are any respectful families out there with a Housing Voucher that have been facing the discrimination and the stigma that comes with being on housing, stay away from Inwood Grove unless you want to loose the little you do have left. “These apts is crappy not worth a Pennie they always cutting off the water with no notice ...then try n get an attitude when call about things ...people in the front office ain't ---- they rude as hell n so is the managers but o how I'm waiting for one of them to gt out of line with me I'm the right one ..they got bats, rats,Lil roaches ,to huge ones ,and spiders don't let me gt started on that pest control boo boo they really need to be torn down with a new staff n o everything in the apts are old including the appliances”

“I would never recommend anyone to live in this apartment complex ! The management is very unprofessional, people hanging out in the parking lot just waiting for Trouble. Everytime we drive down the parking lot a group of ------ constantly threaten me that they are going to rob us. Our neighbors are a piece of ---- and very disrespectful!!!! I went to sign another 6 months lease 2 weeks before it was over, and they told me that I wasn't allowed to resign my lease. What happened to 30 day notices??? That is the law. So that gave us 2 weeks to quickly find a home! When it did (I move out on halloween) they sat on the paperwork that verifies that i've lived there for several days and when they finally decided to turn it in they did it wrong. Said i lived there for 6 months when i have been staying there for a year and a half! It took them forever again to get it fixed and faxed over. A/C is constantly running, and quits blowing cold every 2-3 weeks, but they never replaced the unit. Then they want to raise the rent and for what? This is possibly the worst apartment/dump there is in all of Houston!!!! DO NOT MOVE IN HERE!!!”

“Apartment is below average in all aspects of living a safe and happy life. However, the worst part is the management(Tara). The management adds up additional fees after the resident leaves the apartment and sends that to a collection agency without even trying to contact that resident. Please stay away from this poorly managed place and thank me later!”

“these apartments are horrible either you are running from bats or cats either one the manager is rude and ------ and leasing agent have no experience at all lets not get on drugs please they sell to children they smoke weed walking thru the property i have had enough and even if you had a pinto they will steal that highly not recommended”

“if you don't mind being robbed at gunpoint, having your front door kicked in during broad day light,getting high off marijuana when entering the laundry rooms,having your a/c stolen in broad day light,or having your car broken into or stolen, then this is the place for you. Management is so unprofessional and could care less about anything that goes on here. There answer to everything is "it is nothing we can do to prevent it, it happens everywhere" The thieves here probably hold a monthly drawing to determine which car will be broken into or stolen. last year my neighbor's a/c was stolen in broad day light. my apartment was broken into while i was at work trying to make a living. It did'nt make sense to inform management,because if i did'nt know any better i would have thought it was an inside job. it was 2 guys shooting at each other in broad day light. if you are considering inwood grove..please go elsewhere. I am out of here. its too many remodeled apartments in the area that are much nicer and cheaper.”

The office staff could care less if you are a victim here, there attitude is "well we cant stop it from happening" it could happen anywhere. My apartment door was kicked in in broad day light while i am at work trying to make a living, It didnt make sense to inform any one inside the office, because as far as I know it could have been a inside job. I remember last year it was 2 guys running through the property shooting at each other. My neighbor's a/c unit was stolen while they were at work. What does the office do???...Nothing?? Most of my friends have moved already, and I am out of here at the end of the month. I am sorry but my safety is too important to continue to jeopardize it here. Anyone considering moving here, please don't it is too many other apartments in this area that have been remodeled and you will be safer.”

“The enviroment of Inwood Grove Apts. is a livng dream for drug dealers, drug users, criminal daily activity, and other acts of illegal activity that's possible. The up keep of the property is below par, anything in the residence living quarters will not get fixed, turn around time is atleast 30 days. The manager's only concern is to collect rent on time and fill vacancies!!!! My relative has been here for 4 years. If I had enough finances, I would move them asap!!!! Anytime you can walk up to a drug dealer in broad daylight and while they are watching their own children and making a drug transaction, very horrible!!!!!!!”

“Thought these apartments would be safe and good for me and my kids to live in. But for the past five months, some one has got shot there is always some shotting going on. Several apratments have drugs been sold out of them and to me that is not safe at all. The apartment maagers do not care, we are suppose to have a security guard but we still do not have no one nor do they know when we will get one. Also no gate card, but yet it's part of the payment and they still do not know when we will get those in either. Some people might like living here because of the rent (it is reasonable) but at the same time I think your life and ypur family life is worth much more then a reasonable rent. Who ever owns this property need to come out and look into there staff. It's bad when the people in the office (once you should TRUST) is missing over you. When you have people leaving when the office is close and late at night (reason because your apartment personal choice not to work with there tenants at all)that's a major problem. Also who ever owns Inwood Grove need to know that your apartment manager and leasing agents are telling tenants that they have not made there rent payment, but you have a copy of the payment but they are say no so they can get more money from you. Question is are they pocketing the money? I do know that I would not tell my DOG to move into these apartments. They are BAD and your apartmemt personal know it is but they do not care!”

“These are the worst apartments, This pace is infested with BATS. The so called security entrance gate has never worked we've been living here for a few years and we are moving out of here.JUST DON'T MOVE HERE. A of lot of plumbing problems, leaking ceiling, backed up toilets you name it.”

Pricing is great and very quiet neighborhood i would recommend all my friends and family which i do now have a family member living on property now so great living thanks ms faye and vanessa for all the help you all have gave me.Awsome maintenance!!!!!!!”

“I live at Inwood Grove for almost 7 years now an I have no problems with anyone there. The staff is always nice to me when I call or stop by the ofice. My neighbors and always look out for each other. Yes there is bats on the property. They have been there for years and they do not bother anyone.”

“I've been living at Inwood Grove for 4 months and I've never had a problem with management but i had my first encounter with bats this morning and it was scary. I walked out on my apartment which is located on the second floor and bats were flying everywhere. It was around 5:45 am so I had to wait until about 6:10 am before they went away. I have a 1 yr old and that was very dangerous for us. Overall the apartments are good with the exceptions of bats and roaches. The parking it horrible as well and at times you have idividuals that are visiting that throw empty beer bottles and cans on the gorund but maintenance is really good with cleaning the place up.”

“These apartments are horrible. I stayed here for two years. It was the worst living conditions ever. The bats are constantly flying around and have no respect. The manager Faye is horrible she is very rude and disrepectful. The maintenance is horrible. My AC unit went out every two months and it reflected my bills and no compensation from office. They never replaced the unit. This is not an environment for kids. My car was scratched up and broken into while I stayed there. ADVICE TO ALL Do not stay here you would do better under a damn bridge I promise.”

“well i have been living here for almost 2 yrs n i have never had my car broken into (thank god) n the bats do freak me out but what can i do they dont bother me n management is very nice i have never had a problem with them n i hope i dont oh n about the crackheads that people say live here thats messed up my neighbors are really nice people n they never cause any problems, the only thing that bothers me are the roaches no matter what i do they keep coming back but theyre family now hahaha just kidding theyre almost gone i havent seen any lately i hope theyre gone for good”

“I WAS A RESIDENT THERE FOR 2 YEARS. I ONLY MOVED THERE BECAUSE I WAS IN A REALLY DESPERATE SITUATION. FROM THE FIRST DAY THAT MY FAMILY AND I MOVED IN WE HAD BEEN FIGHTING OFF THE BATS AND THE CATS. I PAY MY RENT ON TIME. AND WHENEVER I CALL THE SO CALLED MANAGEMENT OFFICE TO HAVE SOMETHING REPAIRED IN MY APARTMENT, IT ALWAYS TAKES 1-2 WEEKS. AND MANAGEMENT WONDERS WHY IT SO MANY EMPTY APARTMENTS. I HAVE SEEN SO MANY PEOPLE MOVE IN AND TURN AROUND AND MOVE RIGHT OUT. THE MAINTENANCE CREW SUCKS, THEY ARE NOT PROPERLY TRAINED TO BE IN THIS PROFESSION. I HAVE HAD IT WITH THIS PROPERTY!!!!! I AM BREAKING MY LEASE!!!!”

These apartments are a CODE VIOLATION.... crack heads walking all times of the nite, BATS, roaches, RATS, pot holes in parking lots, abandoned cars in the parking lots ,and most of all a PREDATOR THAT STAYS ON HIS PORCH ALL DAY WATCHIN LITTLE KIDS.............. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES REFER OR RECOMMEND THAT ANY ONE YOU KNOW MOVE HERE.... BE AWARE.. THEY NEED TO BE CONDEMNED.....MAINTENANCE AND MANAGEMENT ARE UNDER SKILLED AND ARE A JOKE....”

“I JUST MOVED IN THESE APARTMENTS THEY MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE EVERYTHING IS OKAY AND THAT THEY DO THE JOB BUT, IT NOT NECCESSARY TRUE. YOU DO HAVE YO STAY ON THERE ---, BUT OKAY.I DON'T PLAN ON STAYING THERE FOREVER WHEN MY LEASE UP I' LEAVING.”
