“For someone who has lived here for 6 years , I honestly can say "don't live here" , yeah I lived here for so long because of the necessity, but now that I'm all where I need to be , PLEASE look somewhere else . The staff is horrible ,they treat you like s*** and not only that, they offend you in other ways. Maintenance is horrible ! They never fix anything and when they do it ,it's like a month later, after having to make so many complains. They're always robberies and some people believe it's the staff itself ,what I mean by that is the staff in office and maintenance ! I absolutely don't trust the maintenance, they are always lurking around acting like they working but looking around what you have. It's not a clean place ,just horribe! Definitely a ---- hole ! You will regret this place! I PROMISE!!! Be careful with the rats and roaches !”

“I underestand the rent might be Cheap and they look newly renovated but please "DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME" I have been here 2 years and never had a problem. I talk to other people and they said that the maintenance was horrbile and never fixed anything. The only problem I ever had was always with the want to be assistant manger who stays on property who swear she owned the community apartments. Well 4 days til it was time for me to mover out my A/C stopped working and they did not fix it. I called every day and the Manarger Clarrisa Lied and said that they were coming to fix it first thing Friday morning and never fixed it. I also have neighbors whose roof caved in and they didn not fix there roof for a whole month. and my other neighbors always had something to fix each week that they never came to fix. It has become an on going problem in which im sure the assistant manager has anything she wants fixed promptly. If you have to make a choice please, please by no means don't waste your time. Pay the money and stay at Uvalde ranch or the Woods Apartments. You pay for what you get and you truly get a ---- hole here.”

“The gates are never closed, so much for security. People park where ever they want, including fire lanes and sidewalks. Water is added to rent automatically and it's expensive but the water pressure is always low in sinks and the shower. The apartments need to be updated, with loud AC units over the shower that make the entire bathroom vibrate when it's on and sounds like a vent is on non-stop. The sidewalks are cracked and uneven. The walls are thin. At least half of the equipment in the "gym" you pay extra for is broken and it is ever cleaned. There are loose dogs and cats running around the complex day and night. There is litter on the ground constantly, mostly beer cans and bottles.”

“Great front office staff always friendly and very helpful. Clean grounds and maintenance always takes care of problems right away. Love my floor plan and location is perfect. Highly recommend living here.”

“I have lived here a few months and am very pleased with my apartment. If I ever have a question for the front office the ladies are always very helpful. I would recommend this complex to anyone as a matter a fact I have and they are very pleased as well.”

“My sister and I went to look at this property today hoping to lease a one bedroom apartment. Unfortunately, they did not have one for our time frame but we were very happy happy with the prices and with the front office staff. We also love the property itself! Its a gated community and it is quiet. We will be checking up with them and hopefully call this place home soon!”

“I just recently moved here from San Antonio, TX. My husband and I are very pleased and thankful we choose Lake Houston Pines. The complex is very clean, quiet and have reasonable prices! The girls in the office are amazing. They welcome us from the beginning and made it feel like home. The maintenance are wonderful. I call in and they come in a reasonable time. I really do recommend this property!”

“My husband and I came by to view the community, hoping to find a 2 bedroom. The floorplan was very nice and a perfect fit for our family. Unfortunately the price was more than what we are willing to pay. The girls in the office were very sweet, professional and made us feel very welcomed. The property itself was very clean and well maintained...thats what brought us here. We hope to live here one day.”

“I have been living in Hunterwood aptms since 07., these aptms have changed hands at least 3 times when I moved here the carpet needed to b replacement. They told me they would its 2012., my air conditioning goes out every month or so i refuse to pay rent month b4 last they locked me out of my apartment. I have been calling these ppl about the air being out since b4 the fourth of July around the 7-2-12 it is 7-11-12 and my air still has nor been fixed it is 80 degrees in my apartment. I go to work at 4am usually returning back to my home at 6-7 pm working anywhere from 12-15 hrs., the last thing I need is to drive around alday in the HOUSTON TEXAS HEAT THEN COME HOME TO HUNTERWOOD VILLIAGE NOW NAME LAKES ON THE PINE TO A APARTMENT THAT IS ANYWHERE FROM 80-90 DEGREES IS RIDECULES. NOW U MIGHT SAY WHY NOR MOVE. MY HUSBAND & I ARE IN THE PROCESS OF BUYING A HOME. AND WE CANNOT MOVE FOR CREDIT PURPOSES. BUT WE HAVE NOT CLOSED AND I AM ABOUT TO GO AHEAD AND MOVE THEY HAVE DOGS RUNNING AROUND ON THE PROPERTY NOT RESTRAINED DUNG ALL OVER THE GRASS. LET'S,NOT TALK ABOUT THE WATER. THE HOT WATER WAS OFF FOR 24 HOURS LAST MONTH. THE WATER IS COMPELETLY TURNED OFF AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH IN THESE APARTMENTS. THE RENT IS CHEAP BUT U GET WHAT U PAY FOR. THE APARTMENTS TWO ON THE BOTTOM R USUALLY EMPTY BUT THEY HAVE SOMEONE LIVING IN THEM FOR NOW. NO ONE HAS STAYED IN THE TWO BOTTOM APARTMENTSFOR NO MORE THAN 3-6 MONTHS. APARTMENT ACROSS FROM ME HAS BEEN EMPTY FOR THE LAST 2 YRS., JUDGE FOR URSELF IJS.”

“I have live here about 6 months now we moved here from Arizona, I got a teaching job, I guess everyone is right they are hiring in Texas. We were nervous moving from out of state, but we are glad we picked where we did. My wife and I always hated living in apartments and when we found out this place had a duplex we were all over it! Apartment was clean when we moved in, the inside looks new. I feel very safe here. The office staff although we have not dealt with them much have been very nice and our work order was completed quickly. I would recommend this place.”

“Move in last week and I really love my new place. I am new to this area and was a little worried at first relocating so far away from everything I know. Priscilla made things very smooth, and even held onto my crying son while I signed my paperwork with the manager Evelen. My apartment wasf clean and very nice. I will be staying here at least until my work assignement is over, maybe even longer.”

“Been here now about 3 months and its going good, I lived around the corner before and I wasnt happy. I moved here because of the upgrade apartment its worth the extra each month to have things new. Lady in the office is nice and helped me get in smooth. I plan on being here for the next few years.”

“Evelyn is great, she moved me in last week, I am new to the area and was very scared to rent on my own away from my family, but I got a new job at the dental office around the corner, this is the closest nicest place. Apartment is beautiful the place is quiet and nice. The gates are a plus, for a little added security. Happy so far.”

“I moved in two weeks ago and so far so good! It is really quiet at night and I feel very safe when I walk in from the car at night, the place is really well lighted. Moving in was easy the people in the office had everything ready to go, Priscilla walked my apartment with me and it was very nice and everything was new. I had a minor issue with the heat when I moved in, but they fixed it right away. A friend of mine referred me here and said when he moved in it was with the old company when it was the old name, he was not very happy with his apartment, he has moved into a new updated apartment, and is much happier now.”

“I have moved in about 1 year ago and I am very happy, the people in the office are very nice have taken good care of my family. We really like our apartment it feels like a home to us. We think anyone would be happy here.”

“I have lived here for 1 year and I just renewed my contract, they have taken such good care of me here I plan on staying for a while. I love the trees and the fact that I feel like I am living in a neighborhood. I do wish that the gym was kept open 24/7, but the people in the office told me they are working on it. I am a stay at home mom and I always come in and out of the office they are always very friendly and they have a bunch of movies to borrow. I recommend this place to anyone looking for more than a apartment complex.”

“I have live here for 4 years and I was going to move at one point, no Im happy and glad I stayed. Not to long ago, this place was runned down and no one cared, a new oweener came in and they starte redoing it and now it is much better, the people that lived her used to run around late and it was loudd, now it is quiet and peaceful. I would tell anyone to live here and I have gotten a few of my friends to move in.”

“Moved in several months ago and so far I am pleasantly suprised! I work at the dentist office right around the corner, and this seems to be the only complex around that's not section 8 or income restricted. Anyway, the place is very quiet and now that the gates are working I'm even happier! They told me that they were remodeling the insides and you can see that it's true. It is very quiet and I really like that”

“I just moved in at the begining of September and so far I am very happy with my decision to live here. I moved in because one of my friends told me she was happy here, and I was extremely unhappy were I was (down the road). I really love my apartment and the girls in the office were helpful and made moving in with a baby relitively easy! There were a few things that needed to be done when I moved in, but maintenance came out the very next day and took care of it all. I love the playground, my baby loves it too! So far I would tell anyone to move here.”

“This is not the name of the place now it is Lake Houston Pines. The I have lived here for several years before the management now. I had put my notice in at one point because I was just ok with the place and the apartment. When the new owners came in they actually started to care. They made the outside of the place look real nice, and they did redid the insides. I still lived in the old apartment, but when my lease was up this time, I talked to Mary in the office and she told me I could move into a redone apartment. I just moved and I love it. The place is so nice now, I could not be happier. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a new apartment. It is very quite.”

“Im wrting this review to help people that want to move into this complex please check everything first yes they are fixing them but there alot u dnt know ive been living in these apartments for a whole year and its still the same eventhouh they have new owners when u first come in there is this lady whos a total biotch once she gets u in here her name is america the whole complex has mold cus there old u wont see it but its between the walls, roaches, fleas if u have pets they will get fleas, spiders this little boy had three spider bites and they did not care he would cry outside the street and the mom took the medical bill they didnt care the maintnence guys r lazy they brake into the apartments, there drug dealers selling right in front of u they even ask u I told the office again didnt care and these r the new owners they think they can change the name sorry but everyone knws that this place is ------ and dangerous the three comments that r up there in the reviews those r the office there pretending everyones moving out that america chick is racist you have to wait ten min to get thd shower running its all brown they think this complex will get better ask people around here it has a bed reputation I recommend you and ur family to take concideration to pay more at a beautiful cleaner place and people sho will take care of u if u think im lieing see for urself I wouldnt have waste my time trying to save someones life.......”

“I just moved in here and love it. The manager is really nice and my apartment is like living in my own house. I am really glad I gave them a chance - I do not regret it. I can't wait til the playground is finished for my daughter.”

“WOW-is all I can say. Someone new bought the place and must have spent a couple of million fixing it up. There is new siding, roofs, new office with DVD's-FREE DVD's.....The office told me they were putting in a soccer field and new playground to. I feel safe walking my dog at night now.”

“THANK GOD someone else took over this place! they evicted all the ------ people...FINALLY! the new company has put a lot of money into the property and you can tell. the new office staff is so nice and all of the improvements are great! i can't wait for the gym!!! ooh and the office has free dvds to rent and they make popcorn every day! i'm glad i stuck around long enough to see what the new owners have done. :) this is NOW a great place to live...nothing like it used to be”

“They have had a hold in the parking lot to where the children play for about four to six months now. I'm always chasing children away from there afraid they would be hurt. There is no safely measure to keep the kids away from the hold. I had call on several occasion about the teenagers walking around the apartments smoking pot and they don't do anything about it. There is no security there a policeyman rides throw maybe 2 or three times a day. I am suppose to have my apartment painted once a year been there for over four years still has not happen.”
