— 1239 BAY AREA BLVD · Houston“My mother is 88 years old and has lived here for nearly 40 years. Jennifer Garcia the property manager is so amazing and treats her as if she was her mother, which I appreciate so much. The maintenance staff and office staff is so attentive to her needs and they are so kind to her. The location is beyond amazing and convenient as you are on Bay Area Blvd and Saturn - in the heart of Clear Lake. She loves her neighbors and it is such a comfort when you have an elderly parent who insists on living alone to know she has so many people looking out for her.”
— 1239 BAY AREA BLVD · Houston“I won’t be staying here after the lease is up. It was nice for a month or so after moving in the office workers were generous. After a while I didn’t like living here. The neighbors kids are continuously loud & I mean from morning to night stomping!!!! There is NO EXCUSE there is a park right across the street. The funny part is it mostly happens on the weekends but the office closes & even during some weekdays. Well unfortunately I have to work so I have my lover call the office for example yesterday guess what…? The upstairs neighbors are STILL loud stomping. The next door neighbors on the side have been loud at times it just like no matter what it’s loud constantly & after this lease is up I’m leaving as soon as I can. There is also no washer & dryer connections inside this 1 bedroom/bathroom that’s expensive. One last thing there was a bad storm so our bedroom floor was soaking wet and the ceiling & bedroom window had water flooding out of it the office was closed of course so we had to use loads of towels. The maintenance guy only sprayed bleach on the ceiling to make the yellow color go away from the storm. GUESS WHAT the ceiling is still the way it was when the rain storm happened back in September. I will be moving after the lease is up I can’t do it anymore. Update dealing with the same problems with 1 month of my lease is up. Neighbors are still stomping, heavy walking and damages aren’t fixed. I will be MOVING ASAP!”
— 1239 BAY AREA BLVD · Houston“Just an average apartment complex in Clear Lake.I had fun the leasing office girl used to come over late at night and "Bang" me a couple of times a week. Once she came over with her running buddy chick friend and I banged the both of them. Fast Times in Clear Lake!”
— 1239 BAY AREA BLVD · Houston“f you move in here keep your rent receipts for checks and don’t pay online they are going to charge you extra fees or “loose” your payment check. They won’t help out either they try to blame it all on you. But wait it gets worse this place is so roach infested they come out of the outlets and go into the fridge and microwave my apartments never been dirty this place is just beyond infested. They charge you a pest control fee that goes up every month and they never come and spray. Heater and ac are always broken and when they attempted to come fix it they left there packaging that holds the part that said “may cause death to animals and unborn children.” Which is super comforting to find at 5 months pregnant. My oven hasn’t worked in months and they refuse to fix it my kitchen sink hasn’t worked in months either. Once you live here don’t plan on ever getting to move in anywhere else they will purposely lie to any place you apply to so your stuck they told one place I applied for that I’m loud when I’ve never had a noise complaint here how can I when I’m barley in the place! They told them I had an unauthorized pet and I’ve never owned an animal in this ---- hole! Not to mention the Maintanence workers drink on the job from the time they get there to the time they leave. If you live downstairs good luck because everyone above you has floors that creak even if they tip toe. And just to put the icing on the cake the place smells like weed constantly and if you don’t smell drugs you can always see the meth addicts that live here chase there girlfriends with knives or the homeless people that walk around here asking you for beer or cigarettes. Just do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs it’s a nightmare. To many places to live to get screwed by them here.”
— 1239 BAY AREA BLVD · Houston“IF YOU ENJOY ROACHES CRAWLING ON YOUR BODY AND INSIDE YOUR EAR WHILE YOU SLEEP, SLOPPY MAINTENANCE JOBS THAT REMAIN INCOMPLETE UNLESS YOU BRING AN ATTORNEY, A PEST COMPANY WITH THE RUDEST PERSONNEL THAT NEVER KEEP THEIR APPOINTMENTS NOR INFORM YOU OF CHANGES IN CASE YOU HAVE A PET......I NEVER KNOW ORKIN TO PROVIDE SUBSTANDARD SERVICES AND SERVICE SECTOR EMPLOYEES THAT NEVER GRADUATED FROM MIDDLE SCHOOL. IN ADDITION TO THE CRAPPY MAINTENANCE THEY REMODEL THE APARTMENTS BY ALTERING THE OUTSIDE BUT DID NOTHING TO THE UNITS BUT INCREASE THE RENT BY $200-300 OVER MARKET PRICE. THE OFFICE STAFF IS ALWAYS LOOKING TO CHARGE YOU FOR ANY INCIDENT BUT REFUSE TO MAINTAIN THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES FOR EXAMPLE SOME UNITS HAVE BLINDS THAT COST $5 at WALMART HOWEVER SINCE WE LIVE IN TEXAS THE CHEAP BLINDS MELT AND INSTEAD OF PUTTING IN WOODEN ONES LIKE PROMISED AT MOVE IN THEY ATTEMPT TO CHARGE $50 FOR SOME CRAP FROM CHINA. ADDITIONALLY ANY PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES PLEASE DO NOT APPLY THOUGH WE HAVE THE ADA TO PROTECT US FOR EXAMPLE PROVIDING ACCESSIBLE HANDICAP SPACE THEY DO NOT PROVIDE ACCOMMODATIONS NOR DO THEY TAKE CARE OF THE PEOPLE THAT PARK IN HANDICAP WITHOUT PROPER DOCUMENTATION. i HAVE CALLED THE TOWING COMPANY AND WAS INSTRUCTED THAT THE OFFICE HAS TOLD THEM NOT TO TOW ANYONE THE LAST WEEK AND FIRST WEEK OF EACH MONTH.....I WONDER WHY MAYBE TO NOT PISS OFF RENT PAYING CLIENTS? THIS COMPLEX ATTEMPTS TO TAKE ALL YOUR MONEY ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE PETS. YOU HAVE TO PAY A NON REFUNDABLE PET FEE OF $500 PLUS $20 PER PET PET RENT PLUS WHEN YOU MOVE THEY AUTOMATICALLY DEDUCT UP TO $100 TO DE-IONIZE THE APARTMENT OF THE PET SMELL REGARDLESS OF HOW CLEAN YOU MAINTAIN YOUR APARTMENT. MY ADVISE ............STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU ENJOY ROACHES IN THE OVEN, SHOWERS, REFRIGERATOR, AND OTHER PLACES WHERE SANITATION IS OF UPMOST IMPORTANCE. FEMALES AND MALES BE CONSTANTLY CAREFUL THERE IS A POPULATION OF HOMELESS OR INDIGENT PEOPLE THAT ROAM THE COMPLEX AND ATTEMPT TO BECOME AGGRESSIVE WITH YOU WHEN PEDDLING FOR MONEY FOR DRUGS AND A LARGE POPULATION OF LATINO MEN THAN SIT IN THE PARKING LOT AND PKA LOUD MUSIC WHILE BBQ AND DRINKING WITHOUT REGARDS TO OTHERS . ALSO I HAVE ALREADY HAD 3 ROBBERIES: CAR, CATBOX OFF PATIO, AND $500 BIKE CHAINED TO A WOODEN POST THOUGH I WAS ASSURED THAT WE HAD OFF DUTY HPD OFFICERS LIVING ON PROPERTY..........Im still waiting to see them roam the complex since many people park in the complex to conduct or partake in illegal narcotic behavior which the office already knows and refuses to address”
— 1239 BAY AREA BLVD · Houston“Friendly staff. Maintenance requests get fixed in timely manner. They occasionally have free events for the residents which are fun to attend. Fridays in the summer the kids can usually go in the office for a free popiscle. I keep to myself but neighbors are generally friendly and keep to themselves. I, myself, consider the apts fairly safe. Close to a small park and public library. Grocery store in somewhat walkable distance. Great school zone. No problems with roaches or any other pests, in my unit. Parking is sometimes a pain during baseball season as I live close to the park but that is understandable. Rate we pay for our unit is addordable and a good amount for us. I would recommend the apts to a friend and I have.”
— 1239 BAY AREA BLVD · Houston“They do not even give you a notice to let you know they will be messing with water so when u halfway thru your shower guess water!!!!! I held my time here and Thank God my lease is up soon and I rather be in the street or a shelter than to renew my lease. Its been the worst experience ever with office management and the complex in general! Police station right across the street but you still hear gunshots and a lot of drug addicts walking and hanging around. The bathtub instead of properly fixing or restoring them they paint the tubs with laytex paint and as time goes by the paint peels off then u have a horrible looking ;s the will get charged for this at the end and it will get repainted and the next tenant will then get charged at their end and so on and so forth. I recommend to look elsewhere in the area before making this place your last option....BAD BUSINESS”
— 1239 BAY AREA BLVD · Houston“These apartment is horrible. Me and my wife were loyal tenant paid our bills on time everything was good until we wanted to move out. We gave them a 60 day notice and when it was time to move nobody knew we had gave them a notice until the look in our file and found it. By them not knowing they had the notice we was force to pay extra fee that was 700 dollars. Laurie said that it was because of the keys was not turn in. Then she started bringing up charges months ago that we paid. Laurie and my wife got in a heated argument and she said "I'M GONNA CALL THE POLICE AND SAID YOU KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING TO BLACK PEOPLE. So know our credit report is mess up cause she felt like ------- our credit up. I knew we where good tenant cause she and her side kick came to my wife job and gave her cookies and thanking her for us being good temant. This place really suck and the management is RACIST. Something should be done about LAURIE I REPEAT SOMETHING MUST BE DONE ABOUT LAURIE. I honestly do know how can one can try and destroy somebody's rental history and sleep at night. All we ever brought here was postive energy and we did not get that in return. So if you moving over you should really hire a lawyer before signing anything.”
— 1239 BAY AREA BLVD · Houston“1st and foremost I would NOT advise anyone to rent from this complex as long as a racist dog named Laurie Wilson still works there. She is a undercover conniving thief and I would not be surprised if she is not stealing from the company. She has a partner in crime by the name of Victoria Wade who is a a modern day house slave because she listens to everything Laurie says whether right or wrong. They will invade your privacy and frame you with violations. This complex is disgusting there is a lot of drug trafficking and prostitution going on out here. There has been multiple suicides in these apartments. The A/C and electrical components have issues every summer. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SOMETHING AFFORDABLE IN THE CLEARLAKE AREA PLEASE CHECK OUT THE APARTMENTS OFF EL DORADO BLVD. You've been warned!!!”
— 1239 BAY AREA BLVD · Houston“This is by far the worst place we have ever lived. We cannot wait to move out of this place. The staff is absolutely terrible and rude. If you an issue with your apartment or need something fixed be prepared to wait. The bugs and bedbugs are just awful, no matter what you do. The neighborhood is terrible. The only thing good is the location. The staff will blame everything on you, or just ignore you. The repairs are lazy, and never done correctly. DO NOT MOVE HERE!”

— 1239 BAY AREA BLVD · Houston“I have been living at Clear Lake Village for some time now. My roommate and I absolutely love it. The location is very central and you never have to go far. We had a couple of problems with our apartment at move-in, but maintenance was quick about getting here and fixed everything. I read some of the reviews before moving in and was extremely skeptical, but we have had zero issues this far. They ARE, in-fact, pet-friendly. The pet-deposit was slightly hefty, but they don't mind animals. I take my dog into the office with my to pay rent. The apartments were probably built in the 1970's but they have been kept in great condition. We keep our apartment clean and have had no issues with bed-bugs or roaches like other reviews have stated. It really is a great place to live for the price we pay. Which is the cheapest we found in the area.”
— 1239 BAY AREA BLVD · Houston“Sadly I still live in this crapy apartment and can not wait to move out!! Management is rediculous and VERY rude!! After multiple complaints on my crack head neighbor next door trying to break in my unit they still would not switch my apartment. They lied to me and said they did not have another one bedroom unit available but the very next day I had a friend move into a one bedroom and also overheard the assistant manager leasing an available one bedroom out to a new tenant. I also paid my pet deposit and they have tried charging me more and more every other month for my pet. Actually got a notice on my door once again today saying I have to pay an extra $100 for the pet I already have living here and I have already paid the $300 pet deposit. Appliances also break left and right daily and they say the maintenance man will be here to fix it that day and the show up at random times. After making a request not to have the maintenance come in my home when I'm not here bc I don't trust or like them they still come in all the time and nothing seems to be fixed. Be very careful bc they will throw random charges and fees at you for no reason. Bugs are so bad, mostly cock roaches, but bugs everywhere. NONE of the washer and dryers work in the 4 wash rooms here, they take all your change and then don't even turn on and the office refuses to do anything about it or refund your money. Once again manager is HORRIBLE! Can't wait to get out of here!!”
— 1239 BAY AREA BLVD · Houston“Firstly let me stress how grateful we are to be leaving this hellhole. We have had nothing but problems since we moved in 14 months ago. We have been asking for roach extermination since the first month there, which IS INCLUDED IN YOUR RENT in case anyone is being told otherwise. The roaches are so bad at this point they literally do not run from us. Yes its that bad. We don't even grocery shop anymore. We also have had some major issues with neighbors. For example, kids climbing on and INSIDE our vehicles, people coming and going all hours of the night, people dealing drugs outside our door, people upstairs stomping around at 2 in the morning. But don't tell the office if you have these problems. It's either a big joke to them and/or they just don't give a f***. They don't have to live here after all. At the end of our lease our rent went up, so we decided to move. There is a 60 day notice to move by the way. We were offered an apartment with W/D connections and the promise that roaches would no longer be an issue for us, so we agreed. 3 months later the apartment still isn't "made ready". Since we had given previous notice we decided to move out of Clear Lake Village altogether. However, we have been informed that the rent weve paid to the new apartment we WONT be living in will not be returned to us, same with the transfer fee we paid. According to the lovely new manager, its " Not her fault we paid it in advance" Oh I'm sorry! You're right! It's your responsible and loyal tenant who has never caused any problems for you fault. My mistake! You can keep your attitude and your bull**** and your Roaches. We are out of here!”
— 1239 BAY AREA BLVD · Houston“BED BUGS BED BUGS BED BUGS. Must I say more. I lost all my furniture and still had to pay a fee for the exterminator, which they did a horrible job. DO NOT MOVE IN STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!! This complex is infested with bed bugs and the office wants us to pay for there problem. DO NOT MOVE IN”
— 1239 BAY AREA BLVD · Houston“I been living at the Clear Lake Village Apartments over 5 years under the current management the Services have been excellent and over the pass year, they are steady making new and improve changes to upgrade the apartment complex. The Management and Staff our so kind and excellent. They share our thoughts to upgrade our residency as well as our concerns. I enjoy communicating with them they have a Staff that is excellent. They are Professional and very helpful in overall services. I would rate at this time the apartment complex as Excellent and would recommend friends and customers to live there.”
— 1239 BAY AREA BLVD · Houston“Never even moved into the place but now I see why this place is rated horrible on every site on the internet. Was doing it to save some money for a bit but so gad I never moved in. After expressing interest and filling out an application and calling 4 times I could not get anyone to call me back for almost 2 months to tell me if they had run it, if I was approved, if the unit I wanted was actually reserved, etc...... I finally gave up and told them not to run my application and I was no longer interested. 10 days later they charged me $90 because I decided not to move in. After calling the manager (------) I was cussed out and hung up on and told the reason they are rated so bad is because of people like me!? I would not recommend that ANYONE move to this place unless they are looking for a living hell. Read the rest of the reviews for details on the nightmares actual tenants have to deal with. Broken appliances that are never fixed, roaches, fleas, bed bugs, never a returned call, raised rent, crime, the list is endless......You have been warned.”

The maintenance is done fast and the office people are friendly and helpful with me. When my air stopped working they made sure it was fixed the same day. I like that I know my neighbors it feels more like a home. They have started having parties and they are a lot of fun.”
— 1239 BAY AREA BLVD · Houston“This is a disgusting complex. My daughter and her children moved in 3 months ago. The bought all new furniture to the tune of $3000 and here it is 3 months later I am moving them and my 8 month old grandson and 6 yr old grandson back home. They have no animals and from day one have fought fleas, roaches, a broken A/C that the management swears is fine (in Texas over 90 degrees in your apartment is NOT fine) now on top of it I had to bring them home because they were getting bites at night. We have now found they have bed bugs (this complex was apparently infested previously with them and have you sign that if you see them notify them so they can take care of it). Now they want my daughter to pay for THEIR problem. If I have to get rid of this new furniture you can bet they will be buying it. Do not mess with people who have "attorneys" in the family. There is a thing called negligence and gross negligence and they better hope and pray my grandchildren and daughter don't get sick from all the crap they choose not to fix!!!!”
— 1239 BAY AREA BLVD · Houston“Where to begin? Office staff is constantly changing. Mananagement has changed 12 times in a 3 1/2 year time frame. Maintenance leaves a lot to be desired. They do not seem to know what they are doing or talking about. AC only works half of the time. Windows are broke. It was like this when I moved in, and they refused to fix it. Always having water pressure problems/ no hot water. My apartment has black mold in it. Does not follow through with promises. Rodents and bugs are prevalent, and refuses to do anything about it. Only been here 3 months, and it's not a place to raise a child. Neighborhood is loud. There ARE PREDATORS on the property!!!!!!! Office staff with the exception of two ladies are rude, and could care less what's going on on the property grounds. IT IS NOT A SAFE COMMUNITY! Drug deals are constantly going on. And this isn't even half of what I have experienced here. Poop has been found in the pool several times. Since living here, I have gotten sick on a regular basis because of MOLD. Trust me, it may be cheap, but you don't want to live here.”
— 1239 BAY AREA BLVD · Houston“Oh god, where do i begin.... ROACHES, rats, mold, broken air conditioners. It's 83 degrees at the peak of the day and this lasts until 3am, then it goes down to 80, never drops below 77. We have chicken wire covering our unit... The appliances are from the early eighties and stink and leak. We had a new/old used dishwasher brought in and it came with a fully grown rat. We called the office and they called us back 4 days later asking if we still wanted somebody to come exterminate. We killed it ourselves... Roaches breeding in the cabinets and drawers on our eating utensils. There are parties nearly every weekend, with extremely loud music, young children screaming and adults drinking and smoking weed. We've seen the grounds employees interacting in these activities, and when u call the office to report it nothing is EVER done. Im now embarrassed to say i live here. The office staff is impossible, they are rude and snappy and lie about any and everything just to buy themselves more time to do absolutely nothing. There are supposed to be dog breed restrictions, i see new and random pitbulls weekly. I once saw a baby pitbull puppy outside in the full on heat in a rabbit cage under the satirs crying with no food or water for hours. Terribly depressing to see where u live. Also, my neighbors cat was run over by somebody who lives here one morning, and my husband awoke to seeing several people notice the bloody suffering animal in the middle of the parking lot then turn their heads and just continue on their ways. We called animal rescue... The very next apt from us was once kicked in and had homeless people in it drinking and doing drugs. Police have had a full on guns drawn chase down with some teenagers who live here. Drugs are openly delt and used. This is a filthy, dirty scummy place that is unsafe to humans and animals alike. Run for your lives!!!!! You have been warned...”
