“After coming home from I reversed park for 5 mins to change and next thing I know I got a call from my neighbor saying they’re towing me. Please don’t waste your time money or effort , find somewhere else to live.”
— 5650 Timber Creek Place Dr · Houston“First the is a lady there was nice and all showing us the apartments. We asked if we could hold the apt. She said yes. Asked if there were any extra fees. She told me no. She ran my app. Which wasn't the deal. Had to pay more money just to get my money back. This place is awful. They scam you with extra fees. They are money hungry people. I would not recommend anyone to this place. I recently had twins. And trying to scam out of money I don't have. WATCH OUT FOR THESE HORRIBLE PEOPLE. The manager also was a rude person asked to take the fees from the holding money and apparently you can't do that. Her name was didn't matter. I tried to give these apts a chance but they are trash. People”
— 5650 Timber Creek Place Dr · Houston“i hate these apartments. Dont move here the manager is a ----- especially the asian looking mexican hoe with highlights in her hair .”
— 5650 Timber Creek Place Dr · Houston“Well there are times the water is shut off but I had the best 3 months of my life there. My kid loves the place. Now there not new but for the price and if you are clean don't have to worry about roaches. I still live there and they keep improving as time goes by. If you don't like humble places like this then move on and let people who really enjoy the simple thing in life be. Stop your complaining and find a place where you will feel you truly fit in. Have a great day! I never had issue with the staff and they have not only be excellent to me and my boy. They been true angels in my life..Great service especially from B ...this is BZ (Supergirl) thank for always being helpful.”
— 5650 Timber Creek Place Dr · Houston“This place is not where you want to be if you want to stay warm in the winter. The entire winter i had no heat. Then this summer ac unit went or they replaced outside unit but because it was new the inside went out. Took 3 days to get repaired. Stay away from 3 bedrooms here there french doors and the worst. Instead of fixing the doors they screwed the stationary door shut. That was there idea of fixing the problem.”
— 5650 Timber Creek Place Dr · Houston“Do not Move Here. I was looking for the apartment last week, so I went to the lake apartments office, filled out an application fee, paid $45 application fee, $50 Administration Fee and $150 refundable deposit. I talked to the people who were living there about the apartment conditions. This tenant told me that the Apartments have Rouches in every corner, Mice will visit at times, Maintenance is horrible. After listening to that I changed my mind, next morning i went to get my deposit back. The Manager was very rude and she asked me to leave her office or she will call the Police, Next day I went again, they called the cops and I havent gotten my refund back yet, I am not giving up though. So These are very money hungry people they will rob you off your money, so please dnt even consider moving to these apartments.”
— 5650 Timber Creek Place Dr · Houston“I feel bad for the person who owns the property. The staff are so unprofessional and careless. The apartments need a good staff and a good paint job.”
— 5650 Timber Creek Place Dr · Houston“I have never written a review about a place that was not deserving. The apartments speak for themselves when you look at them. POOR. The service from the staff is below acceptable. I had issues with my apartment and when the manager and another member of staff came to my door, the way they treated me was appalling. I have never faced such ridicule from people who are supposed to be professionals. I explained the issue that I had with where I was living and as the staff member was leaving she responded by saying " this N*GGA just don't get it". Shocked? I was too. I couldn't believe it! To be honest this place is not worth two pennies together. If you just want a place to camp out from to escape the rain, then this apartment might be ideal for you. It's sad how the previous reviews were made back to back. Warning to whomever is looking at this place. Just save your money and time.”
— 5650 Timber Creek Place Dr · Houston“The staff members are rude and unprofessional unless you are --------. They only hire and cater to other ---------. The apartments themselves are run down and old with lots of plumbing issues. The water is constantly turned off for one reason or another, sometimes they notify you other times they don't. Today for example while in the middle of a shower the water was turned off. I was told due to a pipe bursting this time. Its funny how it always happens around 10am and lasts to 1pm. I moved in because I was laid off from my job which impacted my credit. I would guess most of the people here have credit issues or illegally in the country, otherwise no one in their right mind would want to live here . I can't wait to get out of here and would not recommend this place. Overall: I think the owners are slumlords who do just enough to keep the place running so they can collect rent. They even had the nerve to raise the rent in this dump.”
— 5650 Timber Creek Place Dr · Houston“This was the worst apartments I've ever stayed and I've lived in quite a few of them. Too many people partying all night long. My brother's car got broken into. My best friend stayed with us for one night and he came out the next morning, his truck tires were gone! Also...roaches everywhere!! I hired Orkin to get rid of them, and they warned me "If your neighbors have roaches, then they can easily go back to your place through crevices." Thankfully I only signed a 6 month lease. It gets worse! They didn't refund me my $350 deposit due to a 4" x 4" carpet burn...AND they charged me an additional $265 for that! So you mean to tell me that that carpte burn cost $615??? Now that charge is still on my record! I didn't complain about all this until now. A 2003 carpet stain charge has been haunting my future rental til this day!!”
— 5650 Timber Creek Place Dr · Houston“I've lived at The Lake for two years now, and wanted to counteract the 9/2012 remark left earlier by someone. My comments are anonymous so I have nothing to gain by lying here. I LOVE living here, and have from the first day. There is a real sense of community here, and younger kids do play around the place in small groups because they feel safe, as do I. Parking is still tight but that's because the complex is fully rented. The lake itself is my favorite spot to watch the ducks, see the people walking their dogs or jogging around the lake and feel the breeze. It's very relaxing. The office staff have ALWAYS treated me with respect because I GIVE them respect. This is a business they are running, so I would NEVER treat them any other way. Maintenance here at The Lake is friendly, responsive, thorough, and professional. This is not a high-end complex with granite and expensive landscaping. It is a reasonably priced safe complex for families who care for quality over granite. People wave and say hi to each other here.”
— 5650 Timber Creek Place Dr · Houston“Well that last review was obviously written by an employee, see right through that. Update on my last review from sept, 2012: Woke up this morning to find car was broken into and everything of value taken. Great safe place they are running here and top notch residents they are renting out to. Nothing but a bunch of thieves, liars and crooks. People walk around dressed like things at all hours of the night. When police came by and took report I was told by the officer they are at this complex 10 times a week for breakins. Guess Ive just been lucky up until now.”
— 5650 Timber Creek Place Dr · Houston“Then i first came to see the place i'll be honest i didn't like it at all. The showed me an apartment by the lake. The was junk all over the balconies there was even clothing hanging of them. The sideways were full of duck ----. I totally didn't like the place. But after not getting into the apartment complex we liked do to credit issue, we had to come back here. To my surprise the place look great. The sideways were clean and so were the balconies. There's security all the time from the property security and the police. When i call so get something fixed the are quick to come and fix it. Every morning you see some makeing sure the area is clean. It's true that there's loud neighbors that love fighting the the early morning hours but you can really blame the apts. For that. All the bad reviews i saw are from about 2 yrs ago. I hope people don't get discourage and come and check the place out. I don't know the maintenance crew but the office staff is great. I've been living here for almost a yr and have no complaints. I was referred by close friends who is a manager at another property, but lives here. And she also loves it, know that should tell you something.”
— 5650 Timber Creek Place Dr · Houston“My boyfriend moved into the apartment, on our move in day our keys werent ready, a few days later we saw a rat in our kitchem eating our food. When it was reported to the office they responded with "its not a rat, its mice" I dont care what it is its not staying in my apartment. A month after moving in my boyfriend's car was towed for parking in an UNMARKED parking spot. $249 later we got the car back, then it was broken into, when we finally moved out of this horrific place, we gave a notice like required, then 3 months later which is against the law they turned our account over for breaking out lease. Everyone in the office was aware we were moving out because I had to go into the office and pick up my rental verification, which is supposed to be faxed back to the requesting office. THIS PLACE SUCKS SO MUCH IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY AND SANITY DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!”
— 5650 Timber Creek Place Dr · Houston“I am a resident at The Lake Apartments, I would like to say I Love my home. I have not live in an apartment for 26 years; financially it was time to sell my home since my children have moved into their own homes. I needed to live near my daughter since she has my 2 grandsons. My grandkids love to visit on the weekends, we occasionally feed the ducks and play on the big playground. Since I've been here there has several management teams, some I'm glad to see leave. However, the staff we have now is super! When I got out of the hospital from knee surgery the girls in the office volunteered to check my mail. Since I am better now I made the staff cookies and fudge for thanksgiving and took them all poinsettias for Christmas. They always have te office smelling good and festive. The maintenance is always out and about keeping the grounds clean and always completing any issue's I have the same day. I fully recommend The Lake to anyone, I am old enough to live in a senior type community but I love being around the atmosphere of children and not just a bunch of old folks like myself.”
— 5650 Timber Creek Place Dr · Houston“My fiancee and I move in April of 2009. When we showed up to move in out keys were " misplaced". We were there all of 2 weeks and we got mice. It took them a month to have pest control come out. I refuse to pay until the problem was fixed. Then my fiancee's car was towed for being parked in a UNMARKED "handicapped" spot. 6 moths after his car was broken into! Its small noisy and the staff is lazy. When were moving out our retal history they had to fill out for our new apartment was MISPLACED! then thay had the balls to offer us a 15 dollar gift card to little ceasars if we resigned our lease. NEVER MOVE HERE!! no matter what you can find something better anywhere else!!!”
— 5650 Timber Creek Place Dr · Houston“These apt are horrible and now with the new manager they are really getting low budget.People patios look like storage. This time last yr people took pride in the lake apt.Sad to believe JAWCO management office are located on this apt complex i believe in building 11 or 18 .I hear even the owner looks like trashy.Get a new staff in all ur property.A staff that cares, because the people u have dont care about ur property.”
— 5650 Timber Creek Place Dr · Houston“Well what can i say? I have lived in alot of apartments in my life time but i can honestly say i know i found home.... The office staff is just the sweetest people. I can honestly say that when i have a problem there always understanding and fix it right away. The maintance staff are all very respectful and kind. The office staff is always smiling and take there job very serious. I managment staff to me is Highly recommended as is the maintance staff. I really LOVE living at The Lakes......”
— 5650 Timber Creek Place Dr · Houston“It's crazy how other people dog other people. I am a resident at the lakes, at 1st i thought diffrent of the office staff and the propertry it self.My move-in was a terrible one. Once eveything was fixed. it seems beeter. But as tim passed the office has cahnged their additudes, The proerty remains cleen, and i just notice the we have brand new wshers/dyers.Finally. But i think all of us residents don't understand what the office staf has to put up with , now i can understand why they can get ugly. this past weekend i was on the computer and a resident came in to turn his keys and insalted the staff by calling them stuip.and ohter names. the staff remains calm and asked the person to leave and have a geat day. was hanled very perfessional. way to go... Although parking is tight at times , and the landuary room never worked, this is a very nice place to leave. my son enjoys the lake. Things are finally starting to change at the lake”
— 5650 Timber Creek Place Dr · Houston“I came in today to see if I get an apartment . at lake and the office staff were just awsom and kind . and i can wait to move in.”
— 5650 Timber Creek Place Dr · Houston“Amazing how recent these reviews are and how spot on they are.”
— 5650 Timber Creek Place Dr · Houston“I moved in with my bf in January and the day of our move in the leasing manager got fired for having sexual relations with another staff member on the clock in the office. Since moving in we have had nothing but problems. Starting with the fridge.... it is very old and has dead roaches in the seal, painted wire shelves with the paint chipping off, and the seal broken. The stove wasn't working properly, the sink is leaking in the kitchen, the garbage disposal keeps braking and instead of replacing it they just keep fixing it. Not to mention it is supposed to be cable ready which we recently got and had to run a very long line to connect it because it had been cut. I noticed mold in the top corner or the shower and reported it because it was growing they said it was just from the water getting on the wall.... all the way up there I don't think so. Besides if it wasn't something bad then why was it spreading? Then I started to notice the mold on the air vent in the beadroom which is now almost completely black due to the growing mold. Then I noticed it on the vent in the living room then the one in the bathroom. All they tell us is it needs to be clean. Why the hell should I have to clean it when it's their fault? For it to be like this there has to be something in the wall. I can't believe people can act like nothing is wrong when people complain so much. I would have left when I moved in if it wasn't for not wanting to build my credit back up. I wouldn't even want my worst enamy to have to live in a dump like this. Not to mention the laundy facilitys arn't good at all. Half the dryers don't dry all the way and you have to spend twice the money to dry them two or more times. And last but not least this complex along with the oter two owned by the same company just had a million dollar rinovation. I would like to know where all the money went because even though the outside might look half way desent the inside looks like they just wipedown and paint eveything when someone moves out then tricks the next person that comes along into buying the place before they have a real chance to look things over.”
— 5650 Timber Creek Place Dr · Houston“i have lived here at the lake for about 5 months. The office staff is great. Always hands on. I always see manager out walking, it seems she takes alot of pride in the property. My request are always done in a timly matter. As for the previous review she/he probably lied on application. When i applied i had a response on the very same day.I am soo happy here.i have refered my friends here also.”
— 5650 Timber Creek Place Dr · Houston“Pursing legal action againt this company. They try to get you to lie on your application to get approved. When you are not approved they refuse to refund you your deposit and holding fee. We had the phone hung up on us when we asked when the money would be returned. The staff in this place are criminals and are not afraid to show it. Do not rent here. RUN!!! If you don't believe us check them out on the BBB website.”
— 5650 Timber Creek Place Dr · Houston“I was reading the reviews on this property and notices a comment about a possible rape. The property, by law, must let a residents know if a rape has taken place on the property, a sexual pretator, or felon is livng in the complex. The only thing a manager doesn't have to tell you is if someone died in a unit because the unit is being leased and not sold(when selling a house you must disclose this info).Just FYI. Good luck.”
