— 9915 FM 1960 RD W · HOUSTON“I have been reaching out to the property for weeks looking tour and Possibly lease a 3 bedroom being new to Houston I moved in a place I didn’t care for and now is looking to move I was told Friday to call Monday because they’ll get they’re notices I called all Monday and was told to call Tuesday I have called almost every hour on the hour back to back with no answer today I went on they’re site so I can just apply to get ahead of the game but upon doing so I got an under Maintenance error so I just continued to call when no answer and because I was at work and was calling on my break lunch and in between calls I had my daughter called where they finally answered and very rude I begin to express hey I spoke with you yesterday and Friday where you told me to call back today to set up a time to come in about the 3 bed room so she say OK very rude and then become silent so I say we’ll yes hello she say when you looking to move in I say 10/15/2021 immediately say I ain’t got nothing left people been here all day I say mam ive been calling since Friday and you kept telling me the next day the next day if you knew the day you get notices you could’ve set me up and apt so I can let my job know since my work hours is during your office hours however I literally been calling all day as you told me to and she says I don’t have nothing only for immediate then I have my daughter call back and ask for a supervisor cause that’s not right she answers and says I am a supervisor and the only supervisor. And prior to these phone calls myself and my daughter has called and left multiple messages with no return calls”
— 9915 FM 1960 RD W · HOUSTON“My air has been broke on and off for two years. All they do is refill it with whatever it is.. never been completely fixed. YOU CANT drive to pick up your child from the bus stop if they charge your 50$ fees. They could literally care less about you. Low income or not it isn’t worth it. The people working in the office suck at they own job.. they only job is to answer the phone and they can’t even do that. I had to sign and month to month because I will not be here much longer and I wouldn’t recommend anyone moving here.”
— 9915 FM 1960 RD W · HOUSTON“I love the office staff! They are very caring and understanding. I have been living at Idlewilde for almost 9 years and I have never had an issue with maintenance staff or the Office manager Tasha. She has been there since I moved in, and has never been anything but helpful and understanding. The staff treats you more like family than just residents. Great Apartments Great Staff!”
— 9915 FM 1960 RD W · HOUSTON“I was interested in these apartments. I called the apartments to ask did they have a 3 bedroom available to show. I was told yes, I stated I am on my way to the apartments. It took me about 25 minutes to get to the apartments. When I get there the lady at first showed she had good customer services skills, but then it's like a switch in her mood changed. She told me she didn't have 1 to show and that she didn't know when one will be available. I am a vision person I have to see the apartment so u can judge my decision. So I said do you have a 2 bed rom to show. She got a rude attitude. The old me would have said something. I kept my same positive actions. She straight up lied to me because she stated that is what she say when it looks like it's about to rain. I will not stay here. First of all, you never know who you are renting to. You can't go around being rude or lying to your future residents. Something needs to be done. Then she goes she doesn't have anything during my time frame and put me on a waiting list. At this point I don't believe her. Someone needs to have common sense to teach there employees about customer service skills. When she took me to see the 3 bed room she didn't explain to me or tell me anything about the community.”
— 9915 FM 1960 RD W · HOUSTON“If your looking into renting here, I advise you don't. The manger is rude, disrespectful, liar, and doesn't care about anything and anyone in this community. The other young lady that is there doesn't know anything, she always looks lost and doesn't know the answers to anything. Everything in my unit is broken and all I get is the run around of things. I talk to the manager and she obviously doesn't care. She gave me an attitude when I told her what's going on in my unit and said "oh well, these things take time." She question me like I was lying. Like really... YOU come live in my unit and see how you like that?! I'm looking forward for my lease to be up! Can't something be done? She's obviously the problem”
— 9915 FM 1960 RD W · HOUSTON“I dislike this community with a passion because ----- is rude and nasty with the people who live here. ----- talks to the kids rude too. ----- told my 12 year on 7/24/18 that she was gone called the police on her if she didn't leave her pool and that she will make sure that we won't get another apartment. I'm just in disbelief that this was said. It was said in front of other kids that was around. Parking is crazy can't have visitors because they can't park. You have to paint your own unit. You have to beg to get the carpet clean or make a formal complaint. They don't have a drop box for rent. Just over all the small thing can be over looked but that ----- is something else, like we owe her something, the other ladies that work with her seems to be scared of her because they don't say nothing at all. As many complaints the company have on ----- nothing is done because she keep doing it repeatedly. I'm so ready to move”
— 9915 FM 1960 RD W · HOUSTON“The manager for this apartment is rude and disrespectful that it's sad!!!!! Would love to speak to higher above!!!”
— 9915 FM 1960 RD W · HOUSTON“These are the worst apartments in Houston. They scam people. The office is never open to accept rent payments. They tow cars unnecessarily and Tausha is the worst human being on the face of the earth. So hard to deal with, uneducated and just all around a crappy individual. Not only are there numerous break ins they do NOTHING about there are drugs in the area. The school is 2 out of 10 rating wise. Do NOT move there. You will not only risk your safety but you'll be charged for random incidents. If I could give a negative review I absolutely would. And if you live here now, get out while you can.”
— 9915 FM 1960 RD W · HOUSTON“Weekend trash scattered all over parking lot. People let their children carry untied bags of trash to dumpster and they just throw it anywhere on the ground. Every single weekend there's trash all over the parking lot. Just trifling! I don't understand how people can be so nasty. I come to visit someone and I am truly disgusted by the unsanitary conditions of the trash. Management obviously doesn't seem to care or they would take action. Something is wrong with this trash situation at Idelwild Apartments in Houston Tx 77070. Yuck!”
— 9915 FM 1960 RD W · HOUSTON“I first move into Idlewilde back in 2008 when they first the property. Yes back in 2008 the property was a mess kids breaking things for no reason and trying to pull up the trees. Why I really don't know but I did move from the property for a year and move back in 2011 and since I been back I have seen a lot of changes. We don't have kids hanging out and pit bull dogs on property or kids are running around breaking things anymore. Grounds are being kept and it takes two hours everyday to pick up. When I have a problem in my apartment they are there to fix it. The pool area is very nice compared to the other properties. No kids over here' fighting after school. I never had a problem with office staff. Tosha always have a listening ear when I need it. And the other staff members are very nice as well. So in all my point of saying everything is because yes the property started off rocky but after they replaced the management everything has turned for the best. And I enjoyed being a resident.”
— 9915 FM 1960 RD W · HOUSTON“The manager at this property is rude and unprofessional. She talks to residents ugly, in front of new people visiting the property. Her staff seems to be scared of her as well. I was there to visit and view a unit, but after I saw how the Manager handles people I totally changed my mind and left.... please don't rent there, they are not organized or professional for the first impression.”
— 9915 FM 1960 RD W · HOUSTON“I have had more than one issue with these apartments, no one is ever in the office. The doors were locked for several hours and myself and other tenants waited outside for hours to make sure our rent wasn't late. (On more than one occasion) Secondly parking is a mess. I wouldn't recommend moving here until they hire new staff who can assist the tenants properly.”
— 9915 FM 1960 RD W · HOUSTON“When my lease is up, I'm out of here! Only because I cannot stand the manager Tasha. She is very rude, disrespectful, careless, and acts as if she sits on a high horse. She does not take the time to get to know you as as tenant and is only there to collect a check. You can tell by the way she talks to people and by the way she treats them. I have lived here for a little over 2 years, and I was late paying rent once. Tasha didn't care what the circumstance was and also suggested another "shelter" if I was to be late again. Had she knew the situation, then she would have known that I pay FULL rent every month, no government assistance or anything. She acts as if people are always suppose to pay rent on time, like their not human and won't fall on hard times. She doesn't pay rent, so perhaps I see why she feels that way.....Long story short, don't move here. Save yourself some time and money!”
— 9915 FM 1960 RD W · HOUSTON“The manager Tasha is rude and she has no tact when speaking with residence or anyone else for that matter. The apartments was nice when I first moved there but I'm moving when my lease is up. I have to call for maintenance repairs more than a few times before something is fixed. I was recently told that in order to renew my lease I would have to have an inspection done but not that I have a problem with it but when I asked when was this decided and why wasn't the tenants made aware of it, I was told that they did not have to inform us of the decision. I don't make a fuss about a lot of stuff but when you talk to me as though you are having a bad day...ALL OF THE TIME, it makes my hair stand up on the back of my neck and not in a good way. I've asked on several occasions to go and talk to the neighbors and not allow the children to run back and forth but I was told that was not their problem and if I needed to complain about the noise to call the sheriff department!!! The parking sucks BIG TIME!!!!! It is HORRIBLE!!!! I understand the logic behind the reason why but that should have been more parking made available when the property was built. There is not enough parking to begin with. Now that the tenants have been told that we are required to have a parking permit and ONE visitor....ONE?!!!! The amount of money that we pay we only get one visitor!!!! but ...enough venting Lol. I do believe that Tasha needs some etiquette training as well as customer service training because it does not matter what your title is ... you still should speak to people like PEOPLE!!! When my lease is up....I'M GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
— 9915 FM 1960 RD W · HOUSTON“I was scheduled to move in Idlewilde apartments this month. Before signing my lease it was only right for me to request that I do a walk thru with the manager. During the walk thru I noticed that the carpet was dirty with multiple stains with the aroma for mildew/mold (after being shampooed twice). There were multiple stain in the bathroom and on the kitchen cabinets counter tops. After viewing the apartment I did not feel comfortable with signing the lease, so I discuss what other options I had. The manager was not willing to work with me. She didn't want to transfer me nor provide me with my money back. I asked her for her regionals manager number and she provided me with the wrong information. Tasha was the worst person to deal with in the office and she was the property manager, so that goes to show the type for customer service you receive for this property. She was rude and careless about my situation as if you can either take it or find something else with no concern/understanding of the situation she was putting me an my children through. This has been the worst experience ever I JUST WANT AN APARTMENT THAT IS IN LIVING CONDITIONS OR MY MONEY BACK.”
— 9915 FM 1960 RD W · HOUSTON“Its a huge mix of both negative and positive. Let me start on the negative so we could end this on positive note. CONS: 1. At the beginning of my lease I was informed that we would have a courtesy officer at the night time. This is not the case. There have been less than a handful of times where this was needed, and making a false promise regarding this was unnecessary (If you were trying to coerce me into moving here, I was already planning to). The property could benefit from having a courtesy officer on site. 2. Maintenance. This is a touchy subject because I know that they are here to work (and I will add them on my good list as well, so don't worry), but they need sensitivity training. What exactly do I mean? For starters, one of my experiences with them involved the maintenance person trying to open my unit prior to ringing the door bell or knocking. I was promised at the front desk that I would receive a courtesy call from the front desk prior to them arriving to my unit. This was not the case, which resulted in me having my fire arm ready to fire after that abrupt attempted entry. (Scared the life out of the poor man, but it is what it is) After informing the office of this, every time afterward that I have had excessive banging prior to them trying to get into my unit. (They must realize that I have to climb down stairs to open the door..) My most recent experience involved them talking amongst each other in a disrespectful manner regarding my wife. (I called them to fix the garbage disposal unit, only for them to half --- their work and say to each other in Spanish that "That stupid ----- broke the damn sink". They did not realize that I was proficient in Spanish and believe me hell ensured..) I could go on, but I digress. 3.Lack of parking. If you limit each unit to 2 parking spaces per unit, you would still not have enough parking for everyone. Then add to the fact that some people have more than one vehicle for each household member... there is a perfectly fine piece of land behind the building that could be converted to bigger lot..again I digress. To add to this, people are getting towed for parking in places they cannot help to park. To combat this, I was TOLD (It was not officially declared nor written down) that residents can park anywhere and wont get towed. To ensure this would all go to plan, the management had every resident register their cars. I had proposition making stickers for the car to make it easier on not only the residents, but towing staff as well, but my idea was rejected because it was cost efficient. I manage properties all over Houston (High income to low income) and we never use that excuse. 4. Management. Yes, Christina is a spiteful prude who is rude and does the minimal amount of work so lets get over that...for all the managers we have for this specific property, it doesn't seem that enough is done. That or turn over is high? Rules are inconsistent at times and so is the information given by individual managers (See my parking example listed above). I was upset they got rid of Brenda. Granted we were sleeping together and that may or may not have been the reason for her "departure" but regardless she did great job at the property. She is missed. Pros: 1. Gated community. Its gated. That may seem like such a small thing to you, but it helps deter unnecessary entry. It provides a sense of security and that alone makes living a little easier, no? 2. Environment. I cannot speak for everyone, but so far I have yet to have any sort of altercation with any of my neighbors surrounding me. My neighbors below me are very friendly and everyone around me as well. Everyone minds their business and no one is looking for any trouble. 3. Location. The location of this property is in the middle of businesses that benefit your everyday life style. Tire shops, detail mechanics, food, etc. If you drive a little further there are markets, clothing stores, and all sorts of useful business (too tedious to list at the moment). The location is secluded where we aren't bother by neighboring properties, but close enough that it isn't such a drive to these convenient area. 4. Management I will give management props on at least TRYING to bring together the community together with the holiday themed gatherings. The goal for a community is to have harmony and I can really see that they are trying. 5. maintenance Now I know I had an initial gripe but they have their shining moments. I see them work hard and diligently and will not discredit them on it. As stated if they could work on their people skills they would be set. I feel like this property could benefit from some sort of HOA. At this point the property is working on their own agendas without any resident input, which could potentially create issues with any changes they may wish to make without our consulting. Issues like their need to do inventory of everyone's stuff in their unit (their "inspections" are just bogus ways of saying "Let me look at all the stuff you have in your unit because we want to be nosy), and their ridiculous fines regarding what can and cannot be placed on your patio. As minor as this sounds these little pinches of nuisance can over flow and become much more than minor incidents. work in harmony and help this community grow.”
“Every since i moved in i have been dealing with roaches all through the day and nite. Management sends maintenance but when they spray it does nothing. Tasha the manager is very helpful and nice but avoid the -------- lady christina she is very rude and has poor customer service skills shes just there for a check.”
— 9915 FM 1960 RD W · HOUSTON“Maintenance is great!!! Office staff does a poor job and are very rude!!! Complex is kept clean. Lots of wild children running around destroying property. Rocks thrown at windows, air conditioners disabled. Property damage to cars. I would say the staff does nothing to make this a better place. They are no help! A friend of mine that lives here also told me the office staff said not to complain or things could get worse!!! Not a safe place to live.”
— 9915 FM 1960 RD W · HOUSTON“I lived in Idlewilde Apts for three years and it have been a great/safe environment to live in. The office staff consist of great ladies that will do anything they can to make your stay enjoyable and they work hard to take care your needs. The complex is quiet and other tenants are very respectful. Keep up the great work ladies. My stay here was very pleasing. Thanks for everything!”
— 9915 FM 1960 RD W · HOUSTON“I have lived in Idlewilde for quite some time now and I don't know why I stay. Maybe because of the area and I like the garages. The staff has there days. They are very sometimey. They think they are better than you and talk to you like they own you. They definatley have there favorites. They allow people to do whatever and feel like if its not happening to them then it doesnt matter. The staff pushes you off and gets an attitude real quick with you. they feel like they can treat you the way they want because they are the leasing office. Boy do they have it twisted, we are the customers and it is their job to assist and accomodate us. WE PAY THEM! Instead they make you feel like you are the burden but they are happy to take your rent money or renew your lease. My lease is up in a month and I will definately be looking to move because I can't continue to pay my money to people with no customer service.”
— 9915 FM 1960 RD W · HOUSTON“Apartments are fair. 1 good staff person Christina. Tasha and Dawn need to be replaced they are very sneaky. beware.”
— 9915 FM 1960 RD W · HOUSTON“I have lived in this apartment complex for about 2.5 years. Overall it is a decent maintained complex. I struggle with the fact that there is no drop box for rent payments? It is hard to get returned calls back from the office. You have to go into the office or keep calling until you reach someone. Once again, I am having problems with roaches. It is a shame in 2013 that people are so filthy they like co-existing with roaches? I also have an infestation of brown spiders in my apartment; nothing done about it. This would be a really nice place if the office team actually policed garbage being left on the patio for days and sometimes weeks. Honestly, I feel it has gotten ------ over the past year.”
— 9915 FM 1960 RD W · HOUSTON“So far i like the apartments its one lady in there named cristine she has a heart of gold she does Work extra hard to help the residents an its very sincere if it was up to.me i would switch tasha position to her THANKS CRISTINE :)”
