“As a current tenant, I feel obligated to share my experience for the sake of future renters. Management professionalism is where this property truly falls short. The leasing agent Jay Jefferson has repeatedly demonstrated rude, dismissive, and unprofessional behavior toward tenants. Numerous reviews reflect this same issue, indicating management is aware and has failed to address it, effectively normalizing such conduct. There’s a new leasing agent however, Nayeli, she deserves recognition: consistently makes every effort to put the tenant first, communicating respectfully, and improving what has otherwise been a very uneasy living experience. Most concerning matter is the lack of tenant privacy. Management has a pattern of banging loudly on tenant doors yelling without prior notice and entering units for minor issues without clear consent. When questioned, residents are told this is permitted under the lease; however, no such language exists. I strongly encourage you to have cameras throughout the dwelling, and keep everything documented from the moment you sign your lease. Parking is another major concern. There is a significant lack of available parking, to the point where residents and guests are routinely inconvenienced. On top of that, tenants are restricted to only three visitors per week, which feels excessive and unreasonable for a residential community. The valet trash service, which residents are charged for, is inconsistent at best. Trash is frequently not picked up on the scheduled days or at the designated times, defeating the purpose of the service altogether. And despite pest control servicing every week, the serve roach infestation the buildings have are inevitable no matter how clean and tidy you are. Save yourself the headache and please consider renting with someone who values their tenant! What you are promised upfront does not reflect the reality of living here.”

I lived here long enough to say with confidence that this complex is one of the most mismanaged and inconsiderately operated places I've ever rented from. What should have been a peaceful and straightforward living experience turned into months of stress, confusion, and complete disrespect from the leasing office. Clerical errors and threats: The management team made an error with my deposit accounting. 7 months after my lease, I received an email claiming I owed them money because of a clerical error in their own books. They openly admitted it was their error, yet still demanded payment. I had already paid everything I owed and provided proof from my bank. Instead of apologizing or correcting their mistake, they became aggressive and even threatened a notice to vacate if I didn't pay for their own mismanagement. Imagine being a responsible tenant paying rent on time every month, following every rule then suddenly being threatened with eviction over something you didnt do. It felt like intimidation. I ended up paying just to end the ordeal, not because they were right, but because I was exhausted from the stress of dealing with such negligence. False accusations and unnecessary fees: At one point, I was accused of leaving trash and items on my porch, even though it clearly belonged to my neighbor. Instead of verifying or asking, management jumped to conclusions and charged me a $50 fee. They also have a pattern of tacking on $50 fees for minor infractions, like leaving a trash can outside for a short period of time. It's incredibly frustrating to be treated like this as a resident; these arbitrary charges feel designed to intimidate tenants rather than address actual issues. Poor maintenance and sanitation: The cleanliness here is awful. The elevators constantly smell of dog urine to the point where it becomes normal after a while - which is unacceptable. Hallways are often dirty, and pet messes go uncleaned. The water lines smell like sewage, and the tap water tastes off enough to make you question its safety. Inside my unit, mold began forming on the bathroom countertop around the sink. I reported it and tried to manage it myself, but the issue was never properly addressed. These are basic sanitation standards that management completely ignores. Invasion of privacy: One of the most unsettling parts of living here was how apartment inspections were handled. The leasing agents would bang loudly on doors yelling MANAGEMENT! before walking in, sometimes entering bedrooms and closets. There's no sense of respect or discretion it feels invasive and unsettling. I never felt comfortable knowing that someone could just walk through my personal space with little notice or care. Overall: My time at Milwee Street Apartments was defined by poor communication, lack of accountability, and total disregard for residents peace of mind. I paid every fee, followed every lease term, and fulfilled all my obligations, yet was treated like a problem instead of a valued tenant. Between the clerical errors, false accusations, sanitation issues, and privacy violations, I wouldn't recommend this property to anyone. Tenants deserve honesty, professionalism, and respect - and I found none of that here. If you're considering renting here, take this as a warning and look elsewhere. No one should have to go through what I did just to live somewhere that's supposed to feel safe, fair, and livable. Lastly, do not pay attention to the phony responses they provide in reviews. They will smile in your face to make you sign a lease, and treat you like a piece of trash during your stay in the complex. As mentioned, stay clear!c”
“Sonia, the property manager has good customer service skills, but she doesn’t keep her word, lies when her manager is around, and ignores emails. We have been here for a couple months and nothing is being done. After finally treating the apartment, my neighbors had an influx of roaches in their unit and the roaches were back in my until after a couple of days. BE WARNED. You will absolutely have roaches in your unit until the entire property is treated. We have to put our personal items in plastic containers to preserve them. If we open a snack or cereal we have to keep it in the refrigerator. My small children are terrified and all our neighbors are frustrated with being ignored. So if you are told they treat the unit before you move in, be aware that the roaches will be in your unit after a few days.”
