“This is the worst apartment I've ever experienced in my ENTIRE 10 years of renting. These people do not give a damn about you, they will take your money and evict you in a heart beat, the main manager Kelly plays favorites, if you're her favorite nobody will mess with you, there's tenant whom are her friends and if they complain about you to her, she will do everything she can to make your life a living hell. I've only been living here for 2 weeks. Day one, people are STOMPING and BANGING on the ceiling, the manager was friends with them. Now every noise they hear in my unit they call the police. DO NOT MOVE HERE. The Section 8 tenants will get you evicted. This place is worse then the hood.”
— 12424 WAY BLVD · HOUSTON“Never live at the Meadowlands unsafe and TOXIC mold. I almost dies from pneumonia due to mold exposure. Other residents have been experiencing similar things. The apartment manager is a nasty piece of work. Smug.”
— 12424 WAY BLVD · HOUSTON“I haven't lived here yet, but hopefully this week I'll get good news from Kelly! So far, the staff has been extremely nice and very helpful. The property from what I can tell is super nice. Everything was clean and orderly.”
— 12424 WAY BLVD · HOUSTON“I been here for a year now very nice place you can call home staff and maintenance are good at what ever tenants need great community . 5 StarS. ***** if you are looking for apt home stop by they are neat and clean inside and out”
— 12424 WAY BLVD · HOUSTON“A complete waste of my time and application fee. I was lied to from the very 1st time I called them. Teresa was nice and polite until I paid the application fee. Afterwards it was lies after lies, and made me feel like I was bothering her by calling. The manager Kelly has no clue as to what’s going on. I was originally given a move in date for February, afterwards after having to call them back countless amount of times I somehow couldn’t move in until March. Don’t waste your time and save yourself the stress!”
— 12424 WAY BLVD · HOUSTON“TRASH THIS PLACE IS A DAMN JOKE AND FULL OF FRAUD!!! MANAGER DON'T CARE ABOUT NOTHING. ANYTIME YOU HAVE TO BE IN YOUR APARTMENT WHERE YOU'VE PAID YOUR RENT WITH NO A/C AND NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOUR HEALTH THATS INCONSIDERATE. BASICALLY TELLS YOU TO DEAL WITH IT!!! WHY??? ITS YOUR PLACE TO MAKE SURE YOU UPHOLD YOUR SIDE OF THE CONTRACT JUST AS YOU WOULD WANT THE TENANT TO DO.”
— 12424 WAY BLVD · HOUSTON“They kept great communication, took real good care of me. I am a disabled military vet who was just looking for a nice place to live in. Abby the front desk helped me with all the paperwork for the apartment. Whenever she was not present Tresa and Kelly were so proactive. As soon as I moved in I felt immediate relief, I could not be more thankful. It is clean, quiet, and beautiful! Maintenance is super quick and gets things done in a timely manner. If you want peace of mind MOVE IN ASAP!”
— 12424 WAY BLVD · HOUSTON“Very great place , so quiet day and night. Love the location . The staff is friendly and quick to help with any issues. Great apartments. Will definitely recommend ".”
— 12424 WAY BLVD · HOUSTON“Please do not stay here! WELCOME TO THE ------! I hate staying here. The woman that stays above me does not work, so when her 4 kids, little bastards, go to school, she smokes weed on the stairs all day, and then gets in her ragedy bed a gets ----ed by her black boyfriend until her kids gets home. All you hear is her squeeky bed all day. Mind you, she's white. And when her half black-half white kids get home they bring havoc to the whole building. Running up and down the stairs, screaming and fighting in front of other peoples doors, bouncing basketballs indoors and just behaving like savages. The quality of people that stay here is horrible. Suspicious looking people walking around at all times of the day and night. Can't wait till my lease is up and I'm moving!”
— 12424 WAY BLVD · HOUSTON“I've been here for 4 months now and I've Had very few problems! A few roaches but once I bleached my counters and did a good cleaning I haven't seen any since! I was so worried about living on the first floor but my upstairs neighbors are quiet!! The only repairs I've needed is my stove burner went out and it was fixed within 48 hours. Maintenance guys are outside picking up trash EVERY morning!! Very clean, quiet property. I was skeptical about moving here because of the bad reviews but I'm so glad I did !.”
— 12424 WAY BLVD · HOUSTON“Me and my sister were looking to rent here but thanks to SANDI our "FIRST" move in dreams were crushed. In the beginning she told us that we did qualify for a 2bed/2bath apartment. She did her calculations on her cheap calculator and said that we DID qualify! And we both had financial aid so i really didnt see what was the problem!! Then she had told us we would be able to move in around march, then april, then she said she would have one in may, then june, then july, then august!! I mean which one is it!???? She completely gave us the run around. And i dont even think she knows how to do her job! All she do is lie to the people just to get u out her office. She also never told us to fill out an applicant form! If it wasnt for the nice lady named Teresa, me and my sister would have NEVER filled it out! This place isnt all that bad just if ur looking to move here... STAY AWAY FROM SANDI! SHES A LIAR!”
— 12424 WAY BLVD · HOUSTON“I am a former resident. After 2 months I was ready to leave. This is a ------ environment with mostly section 8 people moving in. The manager Kelly has a favorite picks and evicts those she chooses.. Sandi , is pretty nice but all in all I have had fires on my steps started my children, 6 teens on my step smoking weed just this last Saturday. I have seen major drug transactions. I hate this place . I have had 1 instance ,1 and was evicted, but there has been so much worse here . Like I said Kelly has her pick . Be very careful because if you don't have section 8, which pays double what cash tenets pay or the right COLOR you will be out too. It's funny how god works because pretty soon these will be the most ------ and hood apts. o. The northwest side of Houston.. No worries I found a new much nicer place . God is good!! Good luck to anyone who moves here because believe you me,I guarantee you'll regret it I. Less than a week!!”
— 12424 WAY BLVD · HOUSTON“The meadowlands has gone under a few staff changes. The new assistant manager has a scowl on her face and fails to acknowledge residents when they come into the office. POOR customer service skills for the property and assistant manager. The receptionist is friendly but afraid to help, for fear of reprisal from the manager. The corporate company that manages them has a failure to assist residents who call with complaints and do not return calls in a professional and timely manner. The property has many latch key children who have made the landscape a total eye sore. The paly ground is a hazard my son broke his arm because the wood chips were not covering the exposed plastic barriers to the entrance of the playground. this complex needs a complete security overhaul and new management. Perhaps a new scene would be better for the staff. They should appreciate having a job, and show it.”
— 12424 WAY BLVD · HOUSTON“Worst apartments to move in.... DO NOT STAY IN THESE APART!!STAFF IS VERY DISRESPECTFUL AND SHOW NO CONCERN FOR THE RESIDENTS. THE OFICE MANAGEMENT HAS NO CONTROL OVER WHATS GOING ON BECAUSE SHE IS NEVER THERE. I HAD TO CONTACT CORPORATE WITH MY PROBLEMS!”
— 12424 WAY BLVD · HOUSTON“I have been a resident of The Meadowland Apartment for three years. I have never had a problem or a situation with the management. Kelly, the manger has always has always been fair, and she has always return my calls, even wirh her very busy schedule, she always contact me, because I feel her tenants are priority to her. Charlie, who was the assistant manger, has since been promoted to manger of another property, has excellent customer service, and always listen, and empathized with your problem when your where late on your rent. She had too always charge me late fee, but always gave me time to pay the late fee. I will always remember her and miss her greatly. Sandy, who runs the front desk, is very professional, and always has a smile on her face. I am not saying this a perfect complex, but we can not always blame management for every situation. If you are looking for a home to live, please consider The Meadowlands your next home. Before you read and believe the negative reviews, please go visit the apartments.”
— 12424 WAY BLVD · HOUSTON“I have lived here for 2 years and deeply regret moving here! It is very noisy. Management is thoughtless! I've been broken into and had everything stolen from me!!! Someone is always breaking into peoples apartment and management won't inform the residents here. It seems like an inside job, because they really don't care! The management only care about getting money from you, the more the better for them! I've seen very large scary dogs walking around!”
— 12424 WAY BLVD · HOUSTON“I have lived in this complex for almost two years. I have not had any major problems. Yes, the pool is sometimes closed when I would like to use it and sometimes the gate doesn't work properly but that is because SOME people don't watch their kids. But I have never known an apartment complex that doesn't have that problem. The office staff has never been anything but nice to me. I have not had any problems with maintenence or bugs. My children have never been harassed. I am actually very happy with the complex.”
— 12424 WAY BLVD · HOUSTON“Management is horrible and so hard to talk to. Charlie that is Management has an attitude everytime you speak with her about a problem that your having. She looks for reasons to put you out from the smallest to the biggest thing she thinks she can find. No one wants to be harassed everyday. These apartments are not even worth all that. The walls are thin. The children talk about selling drugs and you can hear yelling and fighting in the parking lot right from your apartment. You would think they had bigger problems to worry about than trying to harass the tenants that stay here, but I guess thats not important to them. The gym is worthless also.I thought it would be nice to stay here but Im counting the days until my lease is up. I dont suggest anyone move here. There are plenty of nice apartments in the area and the office staff is great. I would look into the other apartment homes in the area and pass these right up.”
— 12424 WAY BLVD · HOUSTON“I moved into these apartments late 2011 in a hurry to move somewhere to get out of my then situation. The management team was nice and very helpful but these last couple months they have been literally a pain in the ---. Harrassing me every other 2 days and when I ask them not to discuss my personal business with them in front of my family and guest they get an attitude and talk louder so they can hear everything. Which I think is so childish and unprofessional. I work nights so in the day I try to get as much sleep as I possibly can. The children are noisey, they destroy everything on the property (ie the pool tables, gym, and pinic tables around the complex)and outside all times of the night. They dont have a drop box anymore and the gates never work. The walls are thin and you can hear everything outside like you are literally standing by the person who is talking. I moving within the next couple weeks to a better complex with less kids and a professional staff.”
— 12424 WAY BLVD · HOUSTON“I have lived in the Meadowlands for over a year and all I can say is I am truly surprised at the reviews! I believe that there are good and bad in every apartment complex but this apartment complex is far from the worst I have seen. I have talked to the management team about a few issues and they have tried to resolve the issues as best as I think they can but they are not perfect and neither am I. I moved to this apartment because I had a very bad situation with my last apartment and they were really helpful at getting me into a safe clean apartment and I appreciate that. I am not gonna bash the management team because it is only their job to manage the apartment not raise other peoples adult children. If there is littering pick up after yourself , if there is roaches request a spray or a bomb of the apartment. If there is noise call law enforcement , if there is a parkinng issue pay for parking and if someone parks in your assigned paid parking space have the car towed! I am not going to make the management team responsible for problems that are out of their control. And "no I dont work for meadowlands" I am truly just a tenant who looked at the reviews and thought I would write one.”
— 12424 WAY BLVD · HOUSTON“Omg I don't know where to begin with this place. I guess I will do it essay style. And also people be careful what you write on here because the office reads these reviews and will hold it over your head like they did me and my disabled child. Okay personally I had several problems out of these apartments recently. There were several issues: management, racism, ruse courtesy officer, ------, section 8 drugs. It all started when management ignored my written complaint on a loud neighbor and her boyfriend, who were both on drugs. They didn't work obviously, because they were both home during daytime hours playing loud music. And I could smell the weed smoke coming from through the ventilation, it was so strong. I could also see the clouds of smoke everytime they opened their front or balcony door. I eventually got tires of it and made a written complaint to management Kelly. What did I do that for? Instead of them resolving my complaint, I got the opposite... All of a sudden I became the bad person. And I hadn't done anything what so ever. I started getting police officers at my apartment, and notices from the office myself. And on days I wasn't even at home. The manager K had the nerves to call me and ask about a review I made on google about my opinion of the apartments in early April 2012. She claim she wanted to help by asking if I wanted to move out... I had just moved in, in January 2012. I am a single mother, it's not like I have money hanging around to move, 3 months after I moved in. To be honest I thought she was being very childish, but I didn't stoop to her level. I did however tell her that if she wanted to make me feel comfortable she could stop shopping around, different websites trying to pick fights with tenants which is what she does. And I don't play games with suppose to be professionals. I am grown. SMH. Anyway I that's when she started sending me fake notices and slipping them under my door. Just childish as can be. I always say young people fresh out of college shouldn't be dealing with real life situations because they're irresponsible, remorseless and have no respect for human livelyhood at that age. Anyway,Kelley is a racist bottom line, and so is her all white staff including the courtesy officer and his friends. They took my sons back pack and searched it in the office, put him in a hot police car and tried to suffocate him like some Treyvon Martin type of stuff. Who does that? Just country and stupid. Also the apartments have roaches bad maintenance and they are full of those section 8 chic's. They have older tenantt who have been there longer who report to people in the office and snitch and talk about others lives. If you decide to move here after this review be sure to keep to yourself. Donot attend any of the activities or groups. Because the office staff will pick on your children and make a bad name for no reason at all just to be messy. Its one of those situations where you see the ammennities, but dont touch. Courtesy officer cussed me out when I made a complaint against a disturbance, and told my neighbors grandson to shut the F up before he burry him. I still got to write the chief of poli e about that. They evicted me for making a complaint against my neighbor and lied in the eviction notice. They locked me out of the gate after leaving one weekend. Whatever you do AVOID AT ALL COST. THIS IS A WARNING. My children are very upset and sad because they are not used to being thrown out on the streets and having to live with other people.”
“Not a good place to live. The apartments are nice but the neighbors are HORRIBLE, you will hear loud music, people fighting and you almost can listen all the conversations that are going on in the parking and those living next to you. It almost feels like you are living here with no wall. No privacy. I'm moving out...”
— 12424 WAY BLVD · HOUSTON“I moved here in April and I wish that I could just leave...im seriously thinking about paying to get out of my lease...The kids are noisy and bad, they stay out late at night making all types of noise, and they never have parental supervision. The people above me have no concerns about the people that live beneath them because they are always ------- NOISY! I have a covered parking and @ least once a week sum1 is in my damn spot! Management just let the low income people ruin this property...its a sad case to have such nice apartments in such a nice enviroment go to ruins like this...whatever you do don't move here! IT ------- SUCKS not to mention its always trash all over the ground...A HOT ------ MESS!”
— 12424 WAY BLVD · HOUSTON“I am moving out after having been here almost since the place was opened. The main reasons have nothing whatsoever to do with the property...expect that I'm tired of the pool closures. I mind my business. My kids don't hang out. We come and go. Someone did a hit and run on my parked car once a couple of years ago. But overall, the people in my building have been fine. I think the speed limit of 12 MPH is far to high for a place with so many kids. Yes, there are lots of black people living here. And yes, you see a few sagging pants and trifling looking people. Music, and all that stuff...No. But, this place has a neighborhood feel. The police are not here every day anymore. The one dealer that I definitely knew about is gone. The place is also whitening up if that is important to you. I am not a welfare recipient. I am a professional working person like most people who live here (working...not necessarily professional) I am not too thrilled with the maintenance people. They are probably better if you speak Spanish, can build a relationship with them, and can explain exactly what you want. Would I do this again? In a heartbeat.”
— 12424 WAY BLVD · HOUSTON“From:Anonymous I could't agree more about poor management at the Meadowlands Apartments. I have never lived in a place where there is poor Managerial experience. I wish I would have read the reviews before I moved to this complex. The Apartments are Gehtto as hell. The gates sometime never works, so where is the security, there has been several fights since I moved in and not to long ago. There has been several complaints and nothing is being done about it. just let these gehtto --- people on Housing with their live in men reside in this hell whole of a complex. It does not matter if your in a 1-3 bed room Apartment you can have your entire family, dogs, Men, live in. The gates in the back are cut out, there is spiders within the apartment and to top it off, Management does not voluteer to have exterminators to come out and exterminate the apartments. And you have to ask for filter to keep the air clean in the apartment from dust build up. Parking is terrible, the neighbors are gehtto. WHAT POOR MANAGERIAL SKILLS, DAMN THIS COMPLEX WILL LOSE PROFIT BECAUSE OF LOSING TENANTS DUE TO SKILL-LESS MANAGERS THAT DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT THEIR TENANTS, JUST THE MONEY !!!!!!”
