“Place is disgusting. Management is failing to handle my cockroach infestation or even respond to my calls and emails at this point. Great place if you want homeless people coming up to you begging every time you go to get your mail or pay +$3 for laundry. Sent my letter of intent to terminate the lease and all they do is send someone with a spray bottle to "fumigate" my apartment. THIS WAS DURING THE SHELTER IN PLACE. They sent no notice and just told me to get out for four hours, then scolded me when I refused the service. Cannot wait to get out”

I live next door and the smell of his nasty tobacco smoke enters into my place. The water that comes out the sink and bath tub is brown every other day and and it smells like rusty pipes in the restroom. Parking is limited and my car got flooded because I had to park in the street. Several people come and park in the lot with not parking permits often. I've complained to the owner and he did nothing about the smoke and the parking. On top of there is a gross musty smell in the living room. Gross property.”

It's mostly working people, there are a few middle school aged kids living there too. The manager used to be Angie but that role has been given to an on-site person who watches the grounds closely for trouble. I just wish they had 2 bedrooms.”

Angie is the "house mother" and she is very good in keeping this place in order. We had a couple gals who were making troubles and the landlord has evicted them. Yes, the landlord is pretty tough and I often see him working around the property. He recently improved the grounds by turning what used to be a swimming pool into an inviting outdoor living area with a pergola - its pretty nice. The studio is about the size of a hotel room with a full kitchen but no dishwasher or garbage disposal. The neighbors are primarily working people and a few older retired folks. The complex remains pretty quiet most of the time. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a safe and friendly place to live in a very central locale.”

It is in a safe neighborhood and I can walk to many restaurants and shops. Most tenants are working folks and pretty much keep to themselves. Many have dogs. There was a pool but landlord decided to fill it up now it's a dirt mount. Landlord says he is going to turn it into an outdoor gardens...we'll see. Parking is first come first serve and sometimes I have to park on the street especially if I come home late but W Main is pretty quiet so finding street parking is no big issue. The condition of the building is acceptable and the AC is nice and cold. Repairs are done relatively quickly.”

Management is great and prompt regarding repairs. There is on-site laundromat - very convenient. There is a pool but kinda old and no one uses it much. Most of the tenants are working people, so pretty quiet in general. There is even some covered parking.”
— 2020 W Main St · Houston“It's a small complex, mostly with studio apartments and 4 one bedroom apartments. Has a pool and garden. Gated parking lot, but the electric gate does not work. A lot of college aged kids live here and sometimes can be loud and like to have parties. Management is not the best, it is run by Creative Property Management which does not have a good track record across Houston. It's all bills paid and the studios are only about $575. The problems I have is that one or two residents who i guess don't have a vehicle use the grocery carts from the store to bring back their groceries and leave them at the complex. Large parking lot and enough parking as long as someone does not double park. Parking permits are required. Nice tree lined street, in the Dearborne Place neighborhood of Montrose/Upper Kirby area. I've lived in much better places but its ok for the money/area. The newer management seems to be more pro-active. — 2020 W Main St · Houston“Luckily, I only have to live here for a short time because the only good thing about this place is the parking availabilty and the location. When I moved in, the place smelled like stale smoke and the water pipes were full of rust. The place is just ugly with brown shag carpet, crooked water fixtures, and coats and coats of thick, white paint. The toilet is terrible--you have to flush it at least twice. We accidently blew a fuse and left several voice mails for the management. They never called back, but the fuse was replaced a few days later.

The management company changed without warning. We first learned about it when the old management returned our rent check. We got a letter informing us of the new management a day later and sent our rent check to them. They then taped a letter to our door telling us that our rent was late and are charging us a late fee. We're protesting this since there's no way we could have sent our rent check in time since we didn't know management was changing until after it was due.

This is my second apartment, but a huge step down. Since it's in a good inner-loop location, it would be ideal for a college student with low standards.”
