“I MOVED HERE BECAUSE I NEEDED A SECOND CHANCE AFTER I RECEIVED A BROKEN LEASE IN 2010. WORST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE, SERIOUSLY! LIVING HERE HAS BEEN TORTURE SINCE DAY ONE. THE MANAGEMENT SUCKS, THE MAINTENANCE IS LESS THAN MEDIOCRE AND THE NOISE ISUNBEARABLE. I SWEAR I CAN'T WAIT TO GET OUT OF HERE. FOR DOUR MONTHS OFF AND ON I'VE HAD A LEAK FROM MY UPSTAIRS NEIGHBORS SHOWER, FIRST THE CEILING CAVED IN, THEY HALF WAY FIXED IT, THEN IT STARTED LEAKING AND STARTED GROWING MOLD SINCE THEY DIDN'T RAIR IT. AFTER THREE WKS I HAD TO SEND THEM A CERTIFIED LETTER TO GET THEM TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. I HAVE NOT HAD HOT WATER IN MY BATHROOM FOR THE DURATION OF ME LIVING HERE AND EVERT OTJER DAY MY WHOLE APT WILL NOT HAVE HOT WATER. I HAVE THINGS THAT NEED TO BE REPAIRED THAT I REQUESTED MONTHS AGO BUT NOBODY CARES. AND THE RENT IS RIDICULOUS FOR THE QUALITY. THEY JUST TAKING ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE TOO MAMY OPTIONS BUT THANKFULLY I'LL BE ABLE TO MOVE BACK INTO A QUALITY ENVIRONMENT AFTER I COMPLETE ONE YR OF RENTAL HISTORY. #PATIENTLYWAITING”

“The apartment manager Tara is a liar .she claims that she's trying to clean the place up and make it a drug free property ..but how is that when her leasing assistant Olivia date a guy who sell more drugs than a little bit. He actually have 2 drug apartments there and Tara knows about it. But in order to keep the focus off what they have going on the blame it on other tenants. This is not a good apartment complex to live at. They just had a big shoot out where innocent people apartments were shot up and she still allow those people to stay there. Tara is a unfair person who is not out for your best intrest beware she is the Devi in disguise”

“I just want everyone to know that I have been living at Bluestone for over 4 months, I looked for an apartment complex for 6months and nobody would give me a chance becus I had a felony that I got 7 years ago before I became a mother. The wonderful lady's in the office listen to me and gave me a chance when no one else would. The other property's treated me like I was a horrible person. The bluestone manager treated be like a human being and gave me respect. Those women are amazing and they take great care of the residents here they go far and beyond to make sure we ate happy. I read the other post about the staff and i took offense to whoever said that people with felonies are all stereotyped as a bad element. Some of us just did something wrong and learned from our mistakes and are just regular people who need a break. Thank you Bluestone from one of your very happy residents. And one more FYI, they have a amazing outreach program to try to help the homeless get off the streets. I truly hope they appreciate what the managers really have done for us and them.”

“These apartment are a joke. The property managers are a joke. Especially **** she talks to you any kind of way, she actually invites the tenants to a fist fight. She lies about everything.She sign off on paperwork stating that the work was done and she did'nt walk to the unit to confirm that the work has even been done. She take people deposit and say she charged them 600.00 & 700.00 deposits so if they don't pay their rent that deposit money will go towards their rent for that month. They have hoodlums hanging out all day, the maintenance men walk around hanging out with the ----- ------------------------------ during work hours. The trash in the back driveway is a horrific site to see. This place is just out right nasty and they don't care cause they don't have to live there. The Property MANAGEMENT BlueRoot hopefully they will step in and do something about this. They allow people to move in with extensive felony backgrounds and as long as they have their money they can move in sit outside on the air conditions and watch who they want to -----------------. Please help these people.....”

“LISTEN DO NOT MOVE HERE THESE APARTMENTS ARE HOOD AND BEYOND ------ AND EVERYTHING IS SHADY HERE THEY LIE ABOUT REPAIRS THEY ARE CHEAP ALL THE UNITS HAVE ROTTEN OLD WOOD THEY ACCEPT TENETS WITH FELONIES AS LONG AS THEY HAVE THE MONEY THEY CAN LIVE HERE THIS COMPLEX IS INFESTED WITH GANGS IT LOOKS TRASHY DONT BELEIVE THEN STOP BY THE ENTRANCE GATES DONT WORK MOST OF THE TIME AND ITS VERY UNSAFE AT NIGHT THEY DID NOT REMODEL ANYTHING HERE ALL THEY DID WAS PAINT OVER WOOD THAT WAS IS POOR CONDITION SO DONT BE FOOLED BY HOWB NICE THE OFFICE LOOKS BECAUSE TRUST ME YOUR UNIT WILL NOT LOOK EVEN CLOSE TO THAT.YOU WILL REGRET STAYING HERE JUST AS I DO RUN THIS PLACE IS A DUMP AND SHOULD BE CONDEMMED”

“I moved here March of 2012 when i moved in I bought all new furniture now All my furniture is infested with BEDBUGS I let management know about this in March it is now August n they just now sent someone to treat them makrs no since cause im now moving . Tara is a ----- shes unprofessional, shes ------ as hell and loud she just came to my aoartment trying to fight me because i would not let her in mt aoartment unannounced she came BANGING on my door demanding me and my children leave for 4 hrs while they treat the apt I told her yall have to give me some type of notice they just pop up at my door the exterminator man came to weeks ago uannounce at 6 oclock mind u u have to leave for 4 hrs DoNOT MOVE HERE!!”

“Worst place ever roach and flea infested ex-con maintenance people the manager is a joke never gets anything done they go in and out of your apartment with out notice if you see these apartments run as fast as u can !!!”

“The new management is never there. They come and go as they please, and don't follow the real apartment times. Calling them is also a problem because it gets sent to a operator at times, and they never call back. The people in the management didn't even have the apartment ready the first day to move in, the refrigerator, the dishwasher, the a/c, did't work. Light bulbs missing, hole in the wall, and the living room and bed room had no lights inside. No place to add a blub, and they claim that some of the units have them and some don't. While showing the model, they didn't mention that at all. There are light switches, just no place for lights, which seems like they are trying to save money. The price is really cheap, but that doesn't account for this bad of management.”

“BLUE STONE ARE CROOKS..OFFICE MANAGER TARA IS A MONEY HUNGRY CROOK.SHE IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED..I HAVE STAYED HERE FOR A YR..THE OLD OWNERS WERE GREAT..THE NEW OWNERS PUT SO MUCH MONEY ON PAINT AND OTHER FRIVOLOUS THINGS..BUT THEY REGRET TO INFORM YOU THAT THEY ARE INFESTED WITH BED BUGS, PROSTITUTES, DRUGS AS WELL AS GANG VIOLENCE..THE MAINTENANCE ARE NOT CERTIFIED AND THEY ARE LAZY..THE MANAGEMENT IS ------..THEY VIOLATE PRIVACY LAWS....DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND MOVE ON..YOU WILL REGRET IT..THEY'RE ARE PEOPLE MOVING AS WE SPEAK VOLUNTARILY BECAUSE OF THESE PROBLEMS”

“I usually never write reviews but I feel I have to for this. I absolutely LOVE living in Blue Stone. It is so clean, feels like home, and the new management is wonderful. As a single and working mother I feel good knowing the apartment is safe and the surrounding schools are great! I've already recommended Blue Stone to many of my friends and relatives, and I cannot say one negative thing about it.”

“NEW OWNERS ! This is not the same apartment complex it was a year ago. I took a tour recently and the units look brand new! Priced very well and a very friendly staff.”

“If you asked me 60 days ago I would have told you I was counting down the days until my lease was up. I never thought it was possible, but whoever the new owner is (they call themself BlueRoot) is a godsend. The new staff is working hard and the maintenance guys are incredible- they even installed a chandelier I bought at Home Depot! Plus, theyre putting in a playground a new pool area for my kids. Great bang for your buck right now.”

“This was written by the manager of the property< and it's a joke and not a very good one. Brookstone is a dump always has been always will be. Rotten wood all over in every unit, somes units have no a/c because they were stolen. All the durgs and dealers are still here the lighting is always out.... Your apartment will be broken into weekly, your car will be stolen and the office staff is as dumb as a 3rd grader. So if you believe anything has changed you also are stupid!!! Brookstone by any other name is a DUMP!!!!! As themif you can see an apartment in building 1, 4, or 6 these buildings have apartments with no floors, cabinets, counters,and or a/c's. The property has electrical,plumming, and roof problems. So nice try Gale.... But you are not telling the truth!!!”

“WOW NEW NAME NEW OWNERS NEW MANAGEMENT AND BLUE STONE IS GETTING AN ENTIRE NEW LOOK. I HAVE JUST TOURED THE FLOORPLANS FOR THE FIRST TIME IN A FEW YEARS. AND YOUR NOT GOING TO BELIEVE WHAT THE NEW OWNERS AND MANAGEMENT ARE DOING. THE NAME HAS CHANGED AND SO HAS THE EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR. YOU HAVE TO GO SEE IT TO BELIEVE IT !!! I TRUL THINK THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX IS ABUT TO GIVE ITS COMPETITION A RUN FOR ITS MONE. THE NEWLY DESIGNED INTERIORS ARE AMAZING. ALL DOWNSTAIRS UNITS HAVE WOOD FLORS AND NEW BLACK APPLIANCES AND GORGEOUS COUNTER TOPS SET IT ALL OFF IN THE UPGRADED KITCHENS.. CALL 281 530 2002 AND SPEAK TO THE NEW STAFF AND GO CHECK THEM OUT I MOVE IN ON OCTOBER 1ST AND CANT WAIT..”

“Keep it going new people I just moved from Brookstone Apartments. If i knew the management company was bringing a new staff in i would have stayed.I moved becaused the manager at the time was always drunk and the lady in the office was taking ''cash'' for rent. The new manager came in and changed things on the first day he was on the property. The place looks much better with all the junk off the patios' and the broken down cars gone. They just put new carpet in my sisters' unit when the old manager told her ''it was too expensive'' I went to see an apartment with a friend and it really looked like an apartment should look. So for the people that are lying and making false statements go live in the ------ if that's what you want.”

“After about two months here I csn say with all honesty that Brookstone is not the place that reviewers said it was just last year. When we moved in, my husband and I were dismayed at the condition of quite a few things. Brookstone management had the make-ready group that cleans the apartment come in and take care of all of it! They even replaced the fan in the living room. No matter what it is, management and the maintenance staff got it done. Recently I said something about my AC. They were there the next day and for somethings I've had management in my home to make sure that work gets done how we want it. I am not a big fan of how open the property is and the gates do not work. This makes it a hangout for a lot of people who don't need to be there and are just looking to cause trouble. While this group spent a lot of money to get the pool in working order, the skimmers don't work and this is causing a ton of algae to build up on the tiling and even under the water. That needs to be addressed. Finally, you have the strange thing that all outging mail has to be put in a basket in the office. I really don't like that. There should be a box for outgoing mail at the mailboxes. Still, all in all, it's a FAR cry from other places I have lived and not as good as some. They continue to improve and that's good enough for me. For now.”

“I have lived here since 2006 and have seen the office staff change many times. There were many maintenance issues, my apartment was broken into twice during broad daylight. However, there is a new staff in the office that seems to give a darn about the people that live here. Most of the people that did not seem to work and would just hang out have moved out or been evicted. I have also seen HPD walking the property mainly at night. I don't know about durnign the day because I work. All in all things are getting better. Alot of repairs have been made and I don't see people hanging out in the parking lot anymore. There are alot of vacant apartments areound mine, but the people that are moving in are alot nicer then the ones that left, thank goodness. Maybe this company actually screens the people before giving them keys. Anyway, my lease is up and I plan to renew. I just had a friend move in on my recomendation.”

“my lease is up this month and I shopped around to compare. I was not very satisfied with what I found so I decided to renew. I do believe the new management members have made a difference in our community. Very professional any request that I have made have been completed timely. Over all I am happy staying in my huge apartment and for the price I pay I cannot complain!”

“I have lived at Brookstone apartments for just over three years and have seen many Managers come and go. The one thing that remained the same was the manangement company that let anyone move in, had extremely poor maintenance service and an unfriendly office staff. Recently, I began to see a bunch of improvements to the community and went to the office to thank them and find out what was going on. To my surprise, the property had sold and had a new owner, new management and a whole new attitude and seemed genuinely interested in making Brookstone a place that we no longer had to be ashamed to live in. The improvements continue, ALL of my maintenance concerns have been addressed and the property just seems safer. I see HPD officers patroling the property and no more people hanging out in the parking lots blaring music at all hours of the night. All I can say to the staff is keep up the good work!”

“This property has been terribly managed for years but was recently purchased and now has new management - new ownership and a whole new attitude! You can feel the difference the second that you walk into the leasing office. My service requests are getting taken care of quickly and professionally and are now done right the first time! I have seen the quality of the apartments that they are getting ready for new residents and they are far superior to what I moved into. Before the management change, I was planning to move, but my new plan is to simply transfer into much nicer apartment that Brookstone is now offering. For the price, you can't beat this place. I'm not embarrassed to have guests any more and can't wait until my lease is up to move into my new apartment”
