“Not Safe! Collapsing Property Fence that opens up to the woods where part of the summer had homeless people camping out. Vagrants roaming in and out of the apartments to buy marijuana from someone living in these apartments. Mail boxes broken into last year did not receive mail for two months. Cops here at least once a week. Today, five cop cars, one ambulance, helicopter flying over the woods behind the apartments where the fence is collapsed. See a man running with cops chasing him. Have no idea why the owners of this complex do not ensure the safety of the residents here by providing a secure property fence to keep the vagrants out. Safety - ZERO Nice Managers - 5 star Good maintenance - 5 star 2 - beautiful pools - 5 star Wonderful Floor Plans - 5 star Reasonable Price - 5 star Good Location - 5 star Safety - ZERO”

I'm not one to complain but after watching this young black guy walk back and forth around the apartment complex dropping trash where ever he walks with his company all through the day and late night on his cell phone just loud like he's the only one living in the apartments?. I still see the trash he leaves behind on top of bushes and behind them. I'm at home in the afternoon when my husband leaves for work I get a little paranoid when I see him roaming the property talking loud around my windows as he passes by. I hope the maintenance guy finds his trail of trash on top of bushes and behind them seems like this guy has a trail he follows everyday around the complex.????”
— 8550 EASTON COMMONS DR · HOUSTON“DO NOT LIVE HERE, ABSOLUTELY AWFUL!!! I have lived here for 1 year and I can't imagine having a worse experience. The assistant manager is very sweet but the manager if absolutely atrocious. This was a quiet and safe to live when we moved in we thought but it has very quickly turned the opposite. The nice and friendly neighbors were replaced with thugs and loud teenagers. The walk through gates are also ALWAYS propped open for "visitors" who don't have the gate code. My baby is woken up several times a night due to teenagers yelling/fighting with one another outside. When touring the property all of the staff was very helpful and happy but, it is all a show to get you to move in. Needless to say I wouldn't live here for even waste my time taking a tour with these fake people. Also, 90% of all other residents that i have spoke with say that they have bug issues. You are charged for pest control every month but until you request for them to come and spray your apartment then they don't do any kind of pest control that i've ever seen (and i'm here all day everyday).”
— 8550 EASTON COMMONS DR · HOUSTON“Tiffany is by far the best manager I have ever worked with. I wish I wasn't moving from here, but it's time to buy a house.”
— 8550 EASTON COMMONS DR · HOUSTON“Apartments are calm and a good place to live. Just dont like how they dont have alot of parking available for the visitors. I always call and i never could get ahold of anyone at the office and if i do i leave a message and never do i get a call back...”
— 8550 EASTON COMMONS DR · HOUSTON“I would not recommend anyone to lease from here. The managers are sneeky and charge you for repairs/rents when you move out that were taken care of. I am reporting them for inaccurated credit reporting. BEWARE!!”
— 8550 EASTON COMMONS DR · HOUSTON“Yes, Nice pools and Nice grounds but the lawn service never sweeps or cleans up after themselves. They just leave the grass and mess. It dose seem that the are less caring about who the let in, but hopfully that will change soon. Tiffany is wonderful, but her office help is preety hopeless. See Tiffany for any type of help. Crime is low and better than most properties. Wish they had better kitchen counters and hardwood through-out. Hope they improve their screening process because I would like to renew my lease. Only Downside is the price - It has an attached one car garage, but because if does not have a gym, computer room or anything else in the way of amenities. Should not be priced above $995.00. If where to find something better I would move. Overal a good property and quite.”
— 8550 EASTON COMMONS DR · HOUSTON“Lets start with the Old over priced units. The office staff is very nice however they can not do anything for you half of the time. My apartment has foundation issues and lack of clean ventilation is very likely making me sick. I have discussed this with the staff several times, and they have assured me they have inspected the unit and there are no concerns. Several water leaks and noticeable mold issues. We have had several issues with safety. I would not suggest living here when there are an abundance of apartments that are very new and safe in the same area and more affordable. Aside from these things there seem to be a large colony of very well entrenched wasps and hornets. The ants came out of the carpet last week. There is no carpet padding under the carpet. The bathtubs were made specifically for those who are short of stature and very thin. In other words imagine a tub for a small child. There's very little insulation from sound and noises from the street (music, engines, etc). The community is gated but people keep destroying the lock mechanisms. One vehicle had its wheels removed INSIDE of the complex and this week we received a notice about vehicle theft and prevention. The dumpsters are usually overflowing. There's screaming children everywhere and nobody cleans up their dog droppings. Nobody. Not one single person. Random people walk through the complex at all hours of the night and people are seen obviously buying/selling drugs day and night. Half of the people in the complex don't appear to be employed although they have nicer vehicles than I do. The landscaping is all dead and they do not water it very often. The pools are ok but one time I got follicultis from the hot tub and one of the pools is infested with wasps and people use the pool areas as there own personal dumping ground. The pet deposit is $300 for two small animals. They do give you a washer and dryer and the garages are decent. Lots of insects and bunny rabbits. The AC is always going out in our unit. The explanation is always "not enough freon". Which would make you think that there is a fairly sever freon leak somewhere. The dishwasher is an antique and does not do anything and there is hardly ever water pressure. I seriously would not choose this place a second time.”
— 8550 EASTON COMMONS DR · HOUSTON“My fiance and I just moved in here about 3 months ago. The rents a little steep, but reasonable for what we get. We have a large, spacious apartment and a cool little garage. The apartment in open and comfortable and the noise has been pretty good from what we've noticed. The grounds are beautiful! I've seen mostly nicely decorated porches and garages and their staff is more than polite, as well as their maintenance men. We've only been here winter months so we're still a little skeptical about getting a summer electricity bill but we'll see. Lots of storage space and I love the second bedroom in The Chealsea. Allison and Tiffany have been very nice and worked to get us in here with some less than desirable credit. Needless to say, we fell in love with the place the first time we toured it. Beautiful vaulted ceilings, open kitchen, nice bathrooms, although a little narrow. Love the fireplace in the bedroom! So far, we love it here!”
— 8550 EASTON COMMONS DR · HOUSTON“My family and I just moved in into Easton Village Apartments. I first have to say management was wonderful as well as the office staff. Secondly, I love the apartments, however, they are older and they are well kept and very neat and quiet. The rooms are kind of small nevertheless, I still love the atmosphere.”
— 8550 EASTON COMMONS DR · HOUSTON“Management is awful. They send out notices that have nothing to do with you or your apartment and then do not respond in a timely manner when you call to inquire. I have received over 5 notices from the management pertaining to my apartment, that after calling to inquire, had NOTHING to do with me. They said it was a "mistake". They come into your home without leaving notice, as the lease states, and try to charge you fees for things you have already paid. When I have submitted maintenance requests, it takes a minimum of a week to get things done or even receive a response from the management.”
— 8550 EASTON COMMONS DR · HOUSTON“This place is a little older than some places I viewed before moving. But it is very well kept. I went to some places and I waited 10 minutes or more before someone even said hello. When I came here Allison was very nice and she treated me like she really wanted me to live here. I'm very glad I chose Easton Village. the entire staff is very nice. My second day of living here I locked myself out of my garage. It was late and I was very surprised when the service guy came in about 15 minutes to let me in my apartment. So far everything is great! I work in retail and service is everthing to me. Great place!”
— 8550 EASTON COMMONS DR · HOUSTON“I normally don't post stuff on these type of sites, but after today I had to post something. Tonight my A/C whent out about 7:00 and I called the emergency line to let them know. I've done this many times at different apartments and usally someone comes within 2-3 days. But today was different the maintenance guy called me right back and he was at my apartment in 20 minutes. i was very impressed.”
— 8550 EASTON COMMONS DR · HOUSTON“My husband and I moved to Easton Village and had absolutely no problems while we were there. HOWEVER, the problem happened when we left. We gave management ample notice that we were leaving at the end of our lease. About two months after we left, we were wondering what happened to our deposit that we were supposed to get back. Well, in the mail comes a bill for over $200 and they also took our deposit because of some "pet stains" on the carpet. When we left we did not have ANY pet stains or stains of any kind on the carpet. They tried to tell us that they had to replace the whole carpet and that's why they took the whole deposit. Quite frankly that is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Also, they said that we terminated the lease early, but we were due to move out at the end of September and that's what we did. Do not be fooled by the "nice" staff. All they are are a bunch of no good lying, cheating swindlers.”
— 8550 EASTON COMMONS DR · HOUSTON“I would recommned Easton as a good place to live. I'm a single father and I like that there is not alot of people hanging out in the parking lots when my daughter gets home from school. My place has lots of room and garage for my motorcycle. The maintenance guy Juan is really good and my items get fixed quick. The only thing is I wish i had a fitness center. other than I think these are really good apartments.”
— 8550 EASTON COMMONS DR · HOUSTON“I'm very happy my husband and I decided to move here in october of 2009. My husband and I had to downsize from a 4 bedroom house and we were a little nervous about moving into an apartment. On our 2nd day our downstairs neighbor introduced himself and made us feel welcome. The one the we really love is the fact that it is always very quiet around hear. It kind of feels like our old neighborhood. The ladies in the office told us we would really like it hear and we do!!!!”
— 8550 EASTON COMMONS DR · HOUSTON“I have been here almost a year. The place is affordable because of the garage. The stafff has ben very helpful. I am not renewing my lease because I am moving back to the Galleria are due to my job. I never saw a roach in my apartment or garage. But I have notice that there are a few shady looking people (lots of tatoos or mostly minorities) now moving in here. The cars in the parking lot of any place are always a sign of a place going downhill. If you notice old cars,or broken down cars in the lot, that's a sign of trouble. There is a black truck now sitting there that has no windows that roll up or in the cab part. It looks like a dumpster on the inside of the truck. Very gross! Also, there have been cars broken into again recently, as in THIS MORNING! Also, too many tenants per apartment have cars. I use to have a place right next to my apartment but now some low life with a couple of kids keeps parking there. No assigned parking, so if a party is going on, you have to walk a bit to your home. Nice pools. Nice grounds except the lawn service never sweeps or cleans up after themselves. They just leave the grass and mess. I feel safe, so that is a good reason to live here. I know someone has tried to break in because my back sliding screen door was open when I got home a couple of times, but I have good locks I put on myself. The biggest problem I have is the electric and water bills are sky high. I pay more for a 1/1 with a study then my neighbors in a 2/2 or that I paid for my 4 bedroom house last year. I keep my theromstat low, plus I am usually not at home most of the time. I have no idea of why the water is $50 a month when I am single, no pets and am away more than 4 days a week. I don't do laundry there anymore because of the cost of the electric and water. It's just very inefficent. Oh there are many dogs on the "dangerous breeds" that now live there too. Doberman and Rotweilers are there. These dog owners do not clean up after their pets. I saw the Doberman owner let the dog just crap right in the walkway and left it there for the kids nearby to walk in it. Sad. Also, I wasn't told the laundry hook ups were in the garage until after I rented. I thought they were in the dining room area, in the double closet space or like the 1 bedroom, in the apartment itself. The staff is nice but they take their time getting back with yous to actually go there because they don't return calls or emails until they feel like it. Tiffany is much nicer than the help she gets there. I would recommend you talk to her.”
— 8550 EASTON COMMONS DR · HOUSTON“i live here with my dad and my part chow part colie dog. We had no problems until roaches started popping up everywhere. i mean i no we live in apartments and everyone has roaches every now and then but not little baby roaches and everyday at that. they came and sprayed like 4 times and we have even sprayed our self's. but no luck so we will be breaking our lease! and maintenance is horrible you have to keep calling them to make them come see what the problem is.”
— 8550 EASTON COMMONS DR · HOUSTON“Force you to sign extension or pay outrage rent increase. Management told me if I don't extend my lease now my current $729 will go to $839 for the same apartment. This apartment was built in 1986 with out dated appliances and they want $839 in this area unbelievable.”
— 8550 EASTON COMMONS DR · HOUSTON“My rent was just raised to $714 when I renewed my lease for a year. They made me renew at least two months earlier. I saw a special for new resident to move in @ $579 for the same size apartments. Why are residents who have been there longer pentalized by paying more? It seems they would want to keep their residents by not raising their rent. I guess they raise everyone rent when renewal come so they can lower the rent for new residents. I guess they do not want long-term residents is what I can see is what is going on.”
— 8550 EASTON COMMONS DR · HOUSTON“I just found out that Barbara is no longer the Manager. She is the only reason I and several of my neighbors renewed our lease. We will be moving when our lease is up. She has been here 2 years, and mgrs have come and gone. She got things done and personally walked the area every day to talk with us and actually listened to our concerns AND did something about them. She worked countless hours and seemed to always be here when we needed her. Everyone in my section had her personal cell number, in case we needed something. Who else would do that?? Is this company nuts for letting her go?!?!?!”
— 8550 EASTON COMMONS DR · HOUSTON“That was not a murder, it was a young guy that died of heart attack. He WAS the resident, therefor could not be the suspect. People should only write what they know not think! Management is great and very helpful. Lived here 2.5 years with no complaint except constant rent increase.”
— 8550 EASTON COMMONS DR · HOUSTON“Nice place to live ...please be aware that someone was found murdered in apartment #3005 on 06/13/2006. I know that I would like to know if someone was murdered in the apartment that I was moving into. From what I am aware of the murder was not a result of a break in. The residents were the suspects.”
— 8550 EASTON COMMONS DR · HOUSTON“I recently moved into the Easton Village complex. The carpet had over 40 stains (documented with photos), the walls had not been painted (documented with photos), disgusting amounts of dust had accumulated on the blinds above the loft (also documented with photos), no smoke alarm was present (we had to ask for one), and as we moved in, a putrid smell began to permeate from the floor or the walls that was nauseating. A short time later I also began to get bug bites, and then began to notice the apartment was infested with fleas. Unlike normal wear and tear which was also present, the above issues were significant and needed to be fixed. The Easton Village Management staff was not helpful. In fact, they were defensive, accusatory, combative, and argumentative about resolving what were to me some very major problems. Several phone conversations, e-mails, a few letters (one with the pre-move-in photographs), an office visit, and a formal complaint lodged with the management company is helping to resolve the maintenance requests. But will the staff remain combative and argumentative should other maintenance request appear? Only time will tell.”
— 8550 EASTON COMMONS DR · HOUSTON“I've never had any problems with this complex. I've lived here 1.5 years. The area is absoluetly quiet - I never hear my neighbors, parking is always available - whether I get home at 7:00 PM or 3:00 AM, and I feel 100% safe. I've never had any problems with management, as previous posts have described. And certainly have never experienced the management adding new/unexplained costs to my monthly rent. Overall, highly recommended!”
