“If I could give this complex -5 starts I would! I have lived her far to long, and not once have I had a good experience with anyone. When I first moved in the leasing agent promised me that they were doing upgrades and upping the rent to get undesirable people out of the complex, that was the only reason I moved in. Once I started to get settled i realized that the adults here are careless and let their children run around the complex and do as they please. I lived next to one of the maintenance men for a few moths and he would have people over until 3/4 in the morning, they would blast music and have their children screaming on the top of their lungs. When I would go out and ask them to keep it down because my 9 month old is trying to sleep he would just laugh it off and keep it going... I have never been so mad in my life! Now the units themselves.... they seem okay, when I moved in they promised me dark wood cabinets and granite countertops; when I got here all I had was painted over 50 year old cabinets and spry granite. When I called the office to ask them about it, they all acted like they had no idea what was going on and refused to give me the number to corporate! I got it anyway, with a lot of digging. It was then that I had the countertops installed.... but I guess that doesn't matter to much when the unit is INFESTED with roaches! I had started to see them here and there, and then I started to see egg sacks, baby roaches all over the place and when I looked closely I noticed they were living in the walls in the kitchen. I started to clean using ammonia and roach spray (which were not ideal considering I have two SMALL children in my home) and they just seems to move to other paces in the unit. I see them crawling on the celling, in the bathtub, IN MY KIDS ROOOM. I fear so much that they are going to crawl in their ears that I started putting them to bed with beaning to cover them! I can keep going for days about the reasons why you should not move in these apartments, but if that wasn't enough... there is no convincing you!! Good luck!”

“This facility has to be one of the worst places to live on Houston, hands down! Let's start with the roach infestation in ALL (yes, I said all) of the units... The complex does nothing to prevent or control the situation. The staff is incredibly rude, and say whatever lie they can to get you to move in! They overcharge for water... By like $30 a month! The maintenance staff is unprofessional, they steal electricity from other units when they are renovating, they leave units in a complete mess when they come in to fix anything, and they walk around the property like they are untouchable! I've seen then leave nails all over the parking lot, they leave screws, chunks of metal and other hazardous materials laying around! They have no sense of Integrity or responsibility! Don't get me started on some of the people who live there! The children are foul mouthed and hardly supervised! They run around all hours of the day and night, people are walking around openly getting high. This is not a good place to live, in my opinion the place should be condemned. They overcharge for units, lie about the safety on the property, and have no intention on fixing anything! Oh, and forget getting corporates number from them.... I found it on my own... That's the o my way you can get anyone to do anything! If you're moving in here, good luck -- you're going to need it!!”

“Worst apartments ever!!! Pest infected, pool never open, rude unprofessional staff, pool never open, they change the water bill policy just to make improvements on the complex!!! Lived here for a year soon as my lease expired I moved out fast! Apartment complex change managers like three times! The new manager is never to be found!!! There have been stolen vehicles the works!!If your looking for a cheap place to stay and don't mind rude unprofessional staff, pest and the hassle of getting your deposits back, sex offenders, this this is the place for you! I wish there was a negative star that I could choose. The facility laundry site sucks! Over priced! They turn off water without notice! The water is never hot only Luke warm. Sometimes the water comes out brownish just the worst place you could ever stay at!! The front desk refuse to give out corporate number”

“DO NOT MOVE HERE.... I had been living in this property before the new management took over last year. When i moved in everything was pretty good, the staff would always be kind and will get my problems fixed. Now with this new company Horrible experience i have 2 kids and my A/C went out and they said they had fixed the problem but my a/c was not cooling at all during summer. It took them to 2 weeks to find the problem, as soon as my lease expire i ran out of that property, I would pay my rent and when i called to check if i owed any money they wouldn't know. Then manager was never there and the worker didn't know anything at all, THE MANAGEMENT COMPANY SUCKS AND THEY ARE RUDE AND THEY DON'T KNOW ANYTHING.”

“Hi I worked at this property for about 2 months as a leasing consultant. Honestly the supervisor is never there. She hides & puts excuses to the residents problems she's very irresponsible. Gives the workers bounce checks & never gave reasons why. It's awful. They robbed ppl all the time & nobody cares. I had to quit this is the worse Job I have ever worked at very irresponsible ppl n maintenance. Corporate # 713 771 6016”

“PLEASE DON'T MOVE HERE SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE. I been living on this property for almost 4 years and I must say since it has been falls of beehnut it's been a nightmare for me. Let me first start with the roaches and cats thats taking over I move my bbq grill out the corner to only find 5 baby kittens living on my patio. The cats are all over your car scrathing your paint off . They started construction digging holes behind residents cars leaving no way to get out. The ladies in the office dont know anything about nothing and the manager is very rude she never wants to deal with residents she ask me to write my concerns in a letter and she will get back to me and not only that u cant talk to no from higher management there Is no one u can talk to they will refuse to give u the company that manage the apartment contact information and because I ask for the contact information they refuse and I told them I will call the apartment association and less then 30 minutes I was serve with a notice to vacate for nothing they lied and now this is what im dealing with the manager using her job title to seek revenge on me I have less then 3 months on my lease left.”

“yeah this place sucks they put a lock on my door for no reason they claim that I owe money but I have my proof that I don't I know my law they cannot keep me permanently locked out so I got a lawyer lets see what they have to say now”

“DO NOT MOVE HERE!! Since the new owners/management in January 2014 this place has gone from tolerable to horrible. I am counting the days until my lease expires and I can escape the poor management, rude staff, overflowing smelly dumpsters and poorly maintained facilities and apartments. The management is extremely rude, they fix nothing and constantly lie to the residents. The pool has not been opened all summer. The 4 times we have asked about it ( since, ya know, I signed a lease agreeing to pay rent for an apartment AND a pool) they said it would be open next week. I found out from the city that they cannot open it until repairs are made. I see no progress there. Broken access gates. And they changed the gate code without notifying anyone. I am tired of being backed up on to Beechnut Street waiting for someone to go to the front of the line and enter the code Dangerous getting out of my car to do so. Complained for 4 months about roaches. Every complaint they said someone would be around next week. Nothing,. Finally someone came over and spread white powder all over the apartment. Which did not kill the bugs. Only made a huge mess I had to clean up and resulting in a loss of all my food since they spread it ON TOP OF MY GROCERIES ALL OVER THE PANTRY. Hot water is out at least once a week. All water off at least one day a month. NO explanation or apology. Office staff will pretend not to speak English when we try and talk to them. I hear them speak perfect English at other times. The dumpsters are not enough for this many apts, always overflowing and rats around.”

“Worst apartments ever lived at. The new management that took over about a year ago is beyond horrible. It's always been bad but this group of staff makes you want to walk in that office and knock someone's head off. The list goes on for days of everything wrong here. Pool closed all last summer and just learned will be closed this entire summer as well. Tore down privacy walls and may not rebuild till Oct ! Their crew splashed wet cement on our truck and is worth over 1300 worth of damage. Floor coming apart. Walls developing more holes by the week. Laundry room hardly ever has working dryers. Is always dirty. Staff is rude and treats tenants as if we're not human. Our rent has been paid in full on time every month since 2011 when we moved into this piss hole. Upstairs toilets have leaked more then once and flooded our whole main floor causing mold smell. They blame tenants for everything and want to charge you extra for having to repair these dumpy units. Rent went up for new tenants .. No security. Unsafe environment. These ppl are terrible. By far am racist but bottom line if you are Black or Caucasian you will never be priority and will never get taken seriously. Do not move here! It will be a huge regret I PROMISE you!!!! Despicable staff. Ugly units. Ugly surroundings and very unprofessional. This complex needs to be shut down.”

“Don't know where to begin. I was tricked, lied to, bamboozled, etc. By the office personnel that I spoke with before moving here. Everything that I asked ranging from crime, pests, maintenance, and so forth was said to not be problem, FALSE. as soon as I moved in I heard nothing bunch of foul mouthed children ranging in age, setting off car alarms, and breaking windows. Roaches that got worse as time went on. As of which I reported to the leasing office and nothing was done. Moving forward to my move out date, it was indicated to me that I needed to have my last payment in by the weekend that I moved out, and that I try have 30 days to refund my deposit. 30 days came and went with no deposit, so that means to me that they don't honor their own word but will hold u to the contract. When the check for the deposit finally arrived (5 days late) I had deductions that one on could account for. Finally after several attempts at getting a list of deductions made from my deposit, they made up a lie (a lame one at that) about there being trash bags left on my porch. So in essence, they couldn't find anything wrong with my apartment therefore they had to fabricate a reason for keeping my money. Save yourself the headache MOVE SOMEWHERE ELSE!”

“Please, don't be too cheap to fall in love for this apartment. The utility bill is what will drive you out and the poor management as well. i have lived here 3 years and there has not been a good management. my rent is $685.00 but my utility now is almost $100.00 Every month my utility bills keep going up as we speak. it started off from $52.00 to $100.00b between Jan to June. i am breaking my lease and pay them F $520 so they don't mess up my credit. PLEASE THIS APARTMENT IS NOT WORTH A LIVING and TOO MANY BRAKE-IN and nothing is been done by the apartment complex. Gabage Complex i call it.”

“I reside at Coral Gables Apartments in Houston, Texas "Unprofessionally" managed by CKR Management. ------------- is a "Slumlord" without of fiber of moral humility or empathy for the occupants of Coral Gables Apartments. The office staff with the exception of ------, conduct themselves in the EXACT same manner as -------------, nasty arrogant attitudes. The maintenance staff are lazy and VERY unorganized to say the least and at this very moment the management of Coral Gables Apartments continue to refuse to make repairs to my apartment. There in leaking water from the ceiling in my kitchen, the kitchen cabinets are completely destroyed and still these tactless inhumane individuals of management continue to refuse to make repairs. My rent is current and I owe NOTHING to date. CKR management are in breach of a binding lease. The City of Houston has given this property a citation for not making the necessary repairs to my apartment to no avail. I would fervently caution anyone considering making Coral Gables apartments your future home. LOUSY, LOUSY, LOUSY!!!!”

“The apartments are under new managment and since the last review there has been many changes to the complex. The apartments are nice with updates laundry facilities plus a nice playground with tables.”

“We went to this Apartment Complex, and when we first went there was a lady that was very helpful wit everything we were needing, so we left a deposit first months rent and paid the application fee, this was a of the after we were promised new carpet and appliances. We were told to come back on the 2/13/2010 to check out the apartment to see if it was ok for us, but when we got there there were no new appliances, and the carpet only had a shampoo, and ROACHES were everywhere even in the Fridge, and look like someone kicked in the closet door in in the bedroom, and they and fired the only person that was willing to get the place in good living condition, After going and explaining this to the lady in the office, we were told that they would get all that fixed and to come back the next weekend (2-20-2010), after going back again, there were still no appliances replaced, still the same rusted dishwasher, and the same roaches in the fridge, with bigger ones in the bedroom now, so after this we were fed up and didnt want the apartment anymore, and was told that we can not get our deposit and first months rent back, even though we signed no lease, now we are being strong armed basically and dont know who to get to help us out.”

“Yea I stay in coral gables I see ------ hustlin and chillin smokin but they cool most of them and they out hea hustlin tryna support they family and that's the only job that a convicted felon could really get and police just arrest people they don't try to help them cuz when u use to that way of life its hard to get out that ---- ya digg especialy when that's all u kno cuz the goverment don't believe in second chances so we gotta take chances by hustlin gettin this money!”

“I have live here for nine months and I hate it. I am breaking my lease as we speak. The crime is very high and I am always geeting approached my druggies to buy stuff. Only reason mgt has been dealing with me is because I threatened to call the TAA on them. Maintainence ia good if you ask them personally when you see them, but dont even think about calling the office. Check it out at night before you move in. If safety is your number one concern, move on.”

“I READ ALL THE REVIEWS ON THESE APARTMENTS AND I STILL DECIDED TO OCME AND CHECK IT OUT. I AT FIRST WAS VERY WORRIED ABOUT COMMING TO THESE APRTMENTS BUT SINCE I HAVE BEEN HERE THEY ARE ACTUALLY GREAT. THEY DO HAVE SECURITY AND THEY LIVE ON PROPERTY. I HAVE SEEN THEM KICK O UT PEOPLE WHO ARE DRAGGING THE PROPERTY DOEN. I PLAY OUTSIDE WITH MY CHILD AND FEEL GOOD TO KNOW I WATCH SECURITY WALK BY MANY TIME AT DAY AND AT NIGHT WHEN I GET OFF WORK I SEE THEM THEY EVEN WALKED ME FROM THE BUS STOP AT ONE TIME. I AM A SINGLE MOTHER AND I FEEL THEY ARE A GREAT PLACE TO START.”

“The absolute worse I have ever seen in my entire life. Very old not kept up at all. Need drugs of any kind you can find it here. Need to get shot it can happen here. At night you feel like a prisoner because the dope dealers are like the warden so stay in your cell. Management is horrible. No security, broken security gates, easy excess to whom ever wants to come in. Drug dealers don't live here they just come to sell to the drug users. They are the ones getting shot on the premises. No place for Kids. Drugs are sold in the laundry facility so don't even think of washing there. Drug dealers walking around with weapons exposed like they are at war.CRAZY PLACE TO LIVE. Sewer backup is every where. NASTY”

“WHAT EVER YOU DO DON'T EVER, EVER, EVER NEVER MOVE IN TO THIS HELL WHOLE. I moved in here in 1999 and these use to be the best ones on the block now they are the WORST apts around here. It all started in 08/2005 people smoking in front ur door and not cigarettes, sex in the playground and fights not just the BAD --- KIDS but the GROWN --- FOLKS.There has been 4 different managers since 08/2005 the longest one was the last one she was here for about a year and half but wasn't bout ---- and a LIER cars get broken into, These hoodlums tried to break in my apt three time twice I was home once I was pregnant called the office and they office they wouldn't even send someone around to check and it was in the day time early morning. don't even think about calling the police they so use to the crime they take their time coming. Grown men walking around shooting guns while kids outside playing.My nieghbor got his foot shot up at his own party some people from New Orleans tried to rob his party and he got shot in the foot and leg. Another neighbor walking home from work got shot in the arm minding his own business people from New Orleans fighting and shotting in any direction. THIS IS THE WORST APARTMENTS I EVER LIVE IN AND THEY WON'T LET YOU OUT OF YOUR LEASE.I TRIED TO BREAK MY LEASE AND MOVE BUT IT DON'T WORK. iT'S BAD WHEN YOUR ON A FIXED INCOME AND NO ONE WILL GIVE YOU A BREAK. i JUST MIGHT BE HERE UNTIL SOMEONE MORE THEN LIKELY GETS HURT OR KILLED.”
