“These apartments will ruin you. Dogs get to poop any and everywhere. Management is rude and racist. Roaches. Parking permits don’t mean a thing you still would get your car towed and people park in your spots. Potholes all over parking lot. Toilet stays broken. And they will try and move you out illegally so they can take your belongings and sell them. Beware because if you come here you asked for it.”
— 14445 WALLISVILLE RD · Houston“This is the most dangerous horrible apartment complex ever starting with management and in fear of my safety for every day management is so unprofessional and rude the maintenance well they'll just come in your apartment anytime they feel like it the lighting on the ground yes they have cameras in certain places but the lighting is so bad they can't see anything I've had my car broken into I've had vandalized I am in fear of my safety they have different people sometimes the gate breaking people go in and out of them backwards forwards all kinds all times at night especially on the weekends do not move here if you like feeling safe!”
— 14445 WALLISVILLE RD · Houston“Worst place to live ever! The rent is high! Not worth the cost! Parking lot always dirty! No parking! Water always off! Never any hot water! Car has been broken into twice! Dumb rules! Terrible plumbing! I promise there is a drug dealer living next door to me!”
— 14445 WALLISVILLE RD · Houston“I love this community because the manager was helpful when i just moved to houston from California. She was very respectful and polite to me. Im planning to move soon but im hoping to come back for a bigger apartment.”

— 14445 WALLISVILLE RD · Houston“I have lived here for 2 and a half years and use to love it here. When Amanda was the manager she had outstanding customer service and was always on point. Now that the Management has changed our household feels like it's pretty much gone to hell....Trying to call the office... good luck! They hardly ever answer the phone and when they do, they either can't give you an answer or act like they have no clue what is going on not to mention the office assistant is never the same my guess is due to the manager what seems like is almost never here. Having running water is like a rigged coin toss every other day if not every other week and if we do have water, cross your fingers it hot. Gated community my ---... any one that wants to come in or out has no problem because half of the time the gates either don't work or ppl just tailgate in and out. My 7 month pregnant wife was sitting on our balcony one night and 2 guys ran up on another man and held him at gun point and robbed him right below our balcony. On another note I'm pretty positive there is a dealer in the building next door, people will pull up in the parking lot and walk up to the apartment 5-10 minutes later they're getting in their car and leaving or he will walk outside get in there car, get back out and the car leaves and he goes back inside. Needless to say I'm over the apartment complex. Thanks to management and the management company GWR the apartment complex is owned by due to the fact that the customer service all the way around sucks. My opinion the property should be relocated to Greenspoint”

— 14445 WALLISVILLE RD · Houston“Let me start by saying that we have had a wonderful experience here at Dover Pointe. Office Staff is great. We love them. They are sure to inform the community about what is going on, and the measures they have taken to promote the overall wellness of the apartment community. Diana and Jacklyn are amazing. They are the RIGHT team for the JOB. We have are satisfied with our stay here. We haven't had issues with other tenants. Our neighbors are easy to get along with. As with other things in life, do what's right, stay clean and be humble and it will go well with you.”
— 14445 WALLISVILLE RD · Houston“My living experience here at Dover Pointe has been wonderful!!! It is a small community very quiet, people are friendly and I feel at home:)) I honestly think this place is a hidden gem! It has everything close. The 1-10 East fwy is close, bltwy 8 N. Sam Houston pkwy East! Shopping strips ,schools, etc. First of all the staff is great! Our new Manager Diana and Asst. Jacklyn are so professional very caring about any questions we might have, helpful and most importantly people that care about people. I absolutely think they aré an awesome team. Always willing to go above and beyond. My family and I really are grateful for them. I think they have done wonderful renovations and improvements, like fixing areas in parking lot,etc.. They are very prompt on sending letters on any thing that will be getting improved or being fixed. At&t did a new feature to get fiber optic fast speed wifi!! ??Awesome!! I also like that the maintenance crew are so nice and helpful. I have seen them work so hard sometimes late just to make sure things get done!! Ray and Pedro have helped us with our maintenance issues that we have had always keeping a good attitude which is a plus!! even occasional help not related to maintenance like helping carry something heavy as I was struggling outside to carry it. I have a wonderful living experience and have recomended people somewhere to call home.”
— 14445 WALLISVILLE RD · Houston“I have live at the Dover Pointe residence one year to long. Nothing about my stay here has been pleasant the two maintenance that they have just walk around the apartment pretending to be working when actually there not doing anything. One of them don't even speak English. My restroom was leaking the maintenance man claimed he fixed it but a week later it was leaking again. I told him it was still leaking he came and look at it then told me he was going to order me a new sink and that he would install it on Monday well I'm still waiting for Monday to come because he never installed it. I barely had hot water and when I did it wasn't even for 5 minutes then the water would turn cold I complained about this issue to one of the maintenance man and when he came to check it out he told me in Spanish because he didn't speak English that the water was very hot. So that issue never gotten taken care of. Certain area of the unit smell like dog ---- and other part spell like cat because the residence don't clean up behind there animals. In December the assistant Manager Jaclyn signed for a package I had delivered which I never gave her permission to do so and when I went to get it. She had let someone steal it OUT OF THE OFFICE. (Well that is what she told me) not to mention nothing was ever done about it Dover Pointe the manager never called to apologize NOTHING! I wouldn't recommend these apartment to anyone the manager Diana Navarro is very unpleasant and extremely RUDE!!!!. Maintenance let six men in my house while I was in the shower claiming to be with AT&T without my permission. These men didn't have on any type of shirt nothing to let me know they was with at&t and on top of all that I don't have any type of AT&T service so they had absolutely no reason to come in my house. I came to make a complaint about the issue with the manager the next morning at 8:30 A.M. and she didn't arrive until 15 minutes later. So once I begin to complain about the AT&T people she told me that I need to leave right now and come back when I was calm. I asked her how would she like it if some unknown men was let in her house while she was in the shower and she continued to yell at me to get out. She even stated that she was going to call the police on me. I never felt so unwelcome. Also these apartment are unsafe they sent out a letter stating that someone tried to break in a residence house while they were in there home hopefully I have provided you with enough information that will change your mind about these apartment they already have low reviews which I should have payed attention to but the rent price is what attracted me which once I signed my lease that price jumped up about 70.00 more. Just don't move here.”
“I rent a 2 br/2 bath apartment for $935 a month. It's tiny and almost always filled with roaches. The water has been off since about 9 pm (thats when I noticed it at least) and it now going on 3 am. Haven't been able to take a shower. The laundry room on site is disgusting. The washers were filled with nasty dirty water and roaches/beetles last I looked at them and they don't take quarters which no one notifed me of. They take some weird card that I have no idea how to obtain. The walls are paper thin I can hear my downstairs neighbors way too often. Parking sucks. Management is horrid. Don't live here....seriously. Not worth the low rent costs.”
— 14445 WALLISVILLE RD · Houston“Resident I been here Almost A year and I love it over here. I don't have any problems at all. It quite, they try to keep the apartment clean as possible but it also the tenant responsible to keep there place clean inside out.”
— 14445 WALLISVILLE RD · Houston“Lived here 6 months... No bug problems... A/C & appliances worked fine... City of Houston manages hot & cold water (billing & maintenance)... Can here stereos with lots of bass, but not people or TV's... Washer & Dryer connections of rear patio...”
— 14445 WALLISVILLE RD · Houston“HORRIBLE PLACE TO LIVE!!!! SOO GLAD IM LEFT THIS ROACH INVESTED PLACE.... If you like to live with roaches this is the place to live. Not only the apartments are Horrible , the management is as well... Super quick to charge you late fees, but when you need maintenance good luck with that they take years to come. Parking is horrible as well. You need a " permit " to park in the resident area or else you get towed... Yea right everyone even visitors park in the resident area, so its hard to get a spot. Rent will be something different every month. Due to "water expenses" "trash" and oh wait renters insurance. Don't know why they charge trash everyone can come in (outsiders) and dump their trash here. "Gated apartment " yea right that gate brakes down all the time. Peoples cars and apartments are getting broken into. Where the security at? Have spoken to a lot of other people that live here and they all have the same complains about this HORRIBLE JUNK PLACE. I recommend NOT TO LIVE IN THESE APARTMENTS . Save yourself a headaches....”
— 14445 WALLISVILLE RD · Houston“This is the worst apartment property I have resided on. The new manager Jose is very evil and unprofessional. As soon as he took over the property he increased my rent. I told him I was going to pay what my contract stated. I take care of my elderly mom, who has a few disability. He came banging on the door with an eviction notice, late at night which terrified her. I explained the situation to my mother's case worker & he told her the eviction notice was not legit because it was not from the court & apologized. However, when I moved I received a registered mail stating we were owing money. I feel helpless, because he turned it in to the credit bureau. If I had the time & money I would take them to court. But I am a nursing student who is struggling to make ends meet. In spite of that, the water was constantly turned off, if not there would be no hot water. It is sad what people have to go through in life, and the way people can take advantage of others and get away with it. Please be aware of the other issues reported on here by other former residents as well.”
— 14445 WALLISVILLE RD · Houston“RUN AWAY! THIS IS A HELLHOLE! ROACHES, NASTY APARTMENT MANGEMENT, SMELLY WASHER/DRYER UNIT, OLD NASTY HOME, NO PARKING, I WAS PRATICALLY LIVING WITH ROACHES IN MY FRIDGE, BED AND EVERYWHERE. PLS THIS IS NOT A PLACE TO LIVE, THEY CHANGE MANAGERS SO MUCH AND THEY CHARGE YOU FEES THEY CANNOT EXPLAIN. WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER SEEN.. THEY SHOULD JUST CLOSE THE APARTMENTS OR RENT IT OUT TO THE PRISON SYSTEM,,,,”
— 14445 WALLISVILLE RD · Houston“I can't wait for the lease to be over . this new management are a bunch of crooks whom stick fees and jack em up every chance that they can. I lived here back in 2011 and the staff was a thousand times better if we had to pay late they understood. And the rent is far from cheap! Bogus management bogus maintenance and overall the worst apt you can pick on east side. If you pay this much rent you may as well get a luxury apartment and not this crappy small and roach filled apt. Not to mention no parking spot if you're not home by 6:00pm.”
— 14445 WALLISVILLE RD · Houston“We were so excited to come to Houston. The pictures of Dover Pint were beautiful. I think the grounds are beautiful. The workers are always picking up garbage people feel like throwing on the grounds. We only stayed a short while though because the apartments are infested with fleas and cockroaches. We were going to tough out the roaches (which were so bad we would of taken them with us if we left right away) and seal up holes and use 3 types of poison to get them enough under control so as not to take them with us to our next location. But I kept scratching with bites and rashes to the point of feeling a need to see a doctor cause the rashes I had were head to toe. Not able to sleep or relax. Then my husband noticed that when we went out the door our legs were covered in fleas. We put white sheets of paper on the carpet and sure enough we would see fleas jump across it. The ceiling in the bedroom was collapsing. They said they would be out the next day to repair it and never did. They also were out of parking stickers to park in the lot and we were told not to worry because they notified the.towing company not to tow cars from the lot. Well sure enough they towed my car and it took several hour to get the car back. I am sure some people love the place but they must be the kind that are use to cockroaches and fleas. I have so many bites that I look like someone with measles.”
— 14445 WALLISVILLE RD · Houston“I lived here for 11 months and I regret ever moving here. My apartment got floated multiple times. Cars are always getting towed and destroyed in the premises . I absolutely would never recommend this apartment not even to my worst enemy. The police is always being called in because someone got robbed or car chases gone wrong getting crash in the buildings. Read and do your research before you move into this area and stay away from this apartment complex. The worst is that animal abuse in the apartment complex, I told management how little dogs are being beating and kids shooting to others peoples pets but nothing has been done.”
— 14445 WALLISVILLE RD · Houston“This apartments suck I can't wait till my lease is up.The buildings are so old that when you walk you can feel the floor shaking. In the summer when you have your A/C on you feel like its not even cool in your apartment because there's no good insulation waste of electricity. Parking is the worse specially at night if you are not there by 7pm all the parking is taken. Speaking about parking they need to fix all those potholes when you enter the apartments they are horrible It feels like your tire is going to fly off.Laundry room sucks 2 out of 8 washers and dryers only work so don't even bother going there. And last but not least they increase the rent ridiculously because they supposely did multi-million dollar renovations ( That's what the sign said in front of the building).Yeah right first fix them then bragg about renovations.”
— 14445 WALLISVILLE RD · Houston“My wife and I currently live here and are looking forward to moving out once our apartment lease is up. There are always things broken around this place, from the gates always being broken and left open, to our own appliances, and our neighbors seem to have very similar problems with their apartment as well. Just a few weeks ago, someone's truck was put up on blocks and the wheels were stolen off (I can't imagine the exit gate being left open for days had anything to do with that) This apartment is very focused on fixing the visual issues, but leaves no concern to fixing the real issue. When we moved into our apartment our sinks constantly backed up with brown water, which smelt like sewage. In addition, our upstairs window was broken, and our door would not shut and had approximately a 1/4 inch from where the door should have sat. The women who work at the management are nice, but will always give you the run-around. The apartment complex constantly has problems with delinquents and about every other month has to leave notes at everyone's doors explaining to the residents that the complex needs everyone to pay their bills. The water does get shut off quite frequently, and is incredibly frustrating when you wake up to take a shower in the morning.”
— 14445 WALLISVILLE RD · Houston“I love my new town home! I was looking for something close enough to my family and work that was affordable and safe. I have been living in many apartments and i have to say these are the by far the best customer service wise. The staff always tries its best to have us as comfortable as can be unlike other apts i have lived in. I had called in one day for my a/c not working and i was really not looking foward to that because of my previous experiences in other apts. I thought they were going to take forever, but to y surprise they came that same day! Idk but that was really something surprising to me that they came so quickly. Maintenance are friendly and trustworthy and the times they have come out to my unit they explain to me what the issue was and how to avoid from happening again which really helped. These apartments are not five star luxury but they are well kept and maintain and i would recommend them for anyone looking to save some cash or just beginning to get own place. They have very affordable prices and reasonable prices for the type of units. Unlike those very low rent apts because there is always something wrong with them as i've learned. either crime wise or maintenance wise. If you like small communities i would recomend the only updown that i guess i have is the parking area. Idk if its because more people are moving in or some people just have to many cars! but it get very full specially at nights i have to rush out of work to get find a parking space close to my apt sometimes i had to park in like the next building but that is the only thing but it doesnt worry me as much its always very calm and quiet and i noticed they have a security man at nights that i seen flashing his flash light at nights havent had any trouble so far!”
— 14445 WALLISVILLE RD · Houston“We moved in about July 2011 and lord we cannot wait until our lease is up!! You pay for what you get, 500-600 for an apartment IS cheap, but you get cheap service, ammenities and cheap residents! The water is always I mean always an issue- i get frustrated just thinking about it. The parents do not watch their kids for anything, kids are always running in the street not thinking about passing cars, kicking their sports toys and other things in others patios and going into other peoples patios!! HORRIBLE place to live. They fit like 5 people in a 1 BEDROOM! I mean crazy. Ok now for the actual apts., we have no cold water pressure hot hot all the time, we call the office- oh its a water restriction form the county, bullcrap not this low, it takes me more than a minute just to fill 1 cup of cold water. Ant problems like bad ants. Gnats in vents in the summers. Numerous backup problems in the toilet area, they came and fixed but made the floor of the apartment all nasty and sticky. When other apartments like above,or next to you- use the water, use the restroom, or take a shower, you can hear it clear as day. Defineately NOT A QUIET place to live!! Paint for the parking needs to be redone noone know how to park straight here, and too many people in one apartment means no parking sometime you have to park way by the visitors, and the tow service is B.S too! (AAAM - they have bad reviews as well. Newly updated counters are worhtless it has already rubbed off and you can what wallpaper they had underneath. The maintence guy always loses the apt keys and leaves them in other apartments, how do i know- because he's told us!!--he's asked us for keys, a few times, because he thinks he's left them in other apartments, talk about security huh? Not to mention the gate is always broken and the exit gate is slanted because people go through the gate (like squeeze throughit!)and end up breaking that more than once as well because they cant walk through the exit doors provided! The let pets in but the dog that some people have leave them outside like 7days all the day and barks all the time annoying annoying. The only good person here is a a girl named Gloria, she is the only one who cares and helps with things. Management has changed 3 times..she would be better off working at a better complex it'd be way better for her. Sad to say we've ONLY BEEN HERE FOR 12 MONTHS AND EXPERIENCED ALL OF THIS- JUST RIDICULOUS.”
— 14445 WALLISVILLE RD · Houston“Ok to the "new" resident that posted about water being shut off. I honestly don't know what the big deal its not like they don't notify us every time they shut off water. I been here at Dover Pointe for years now since 2005 and I can honestly say they are the best in the area. The manager always cares of taking care of us. The only reason im defending them regarding the water situation cause I was too a ignorant person too until it happen to me... one of my kids flushed a toy down the toilet that cause the water to start overflowing..I called maintenance like at 12 at night. While I waited for them I was freaking out so I decided to take matters into my own hands so I try turning off the water from running from the back but I broke it off..im a girl!!... So by the time maintenance got there I caused more water to come.out my whole carpet got wet...so what maintenance did they rushed to turn off the water...so now I totally understand he explained to me when emergency like that happen they have to do what they have to do...and I understand it was my fault but management still took care of they shampooed my carpet and everything..so I know when they do send off notices they are repairing other units so they won't have problems like this on the long run!! See people should be more understanding..anyways staff is always great and friendly maintenance always complete requestand are always on call for things like what happen in my unit.very quiet complex everyone basically knows each other... I would definitely recommend them to a friend...and if you do make sure to.say I referred you so I can get my resident referral loljk Read more: http://www.apartmentratings.com/rate/TX-Houston-Dover-Point”
— 14445 WALLISVILLE RD · Houston“Short and Sweet, I have been a resident here since 10/2011 and today's date is 05/15/2012. Every other week or day it's a water problem. Can you imgaine waking up to no water to bathe are brush your teeth before you go to work. Are let try when you get home from work there is no water to take a bath. It's always a water problem with this complex and the magnament would care less about trying to improve the situation. I told the office about my shower pressure be low for a1 month and the answer I received was well we are very busy updating apartments (not to menation it s cheap upgrades and a rush job) Well how about you try to keep the residents you have and fill their request order 1st. In the past month I have seen at least 4 people move out. My lease is up at the end of May and needless to say IM MOVING OUT!!! Complex is quiet and clean, but the management and water issue is a big problem.”
