“This use to be a nice place to live, no issues what so ever but in the last few months it has been horrible! The water boiler constantly goes out and we have gone days with no hot water to be able to bathe in. We have to literally fill up a bucket with water and boil water to be able to have warm/hot water so shower with. Also, just recently my bathroom flooded with sewage water, the toilet, the tub and the floor are until now full of water, that I have spent all night trying to clean so it wont go into the bedroom. I called the emergency line for maintenance and the guy called back and stated that it was a plumbing issue within the whole building if that was happening and that he would call Nikki which is the apartment office manager. No one ever came out to fix it. I kept calling and my calls were ignored and until now my bathroom is flooded with water and not one person has came to even look at it to attempt to fix the issue. I am unable to use the toilet or shower and had to miss work due to this issue. This is unacceptable and ridiculous. I pay my rent on the 22nd of each month, way before the due date and its sad how quick they are to take the money but not willing to assist in repairing EMERGENCY issues. Just to give an example their whole maintenance crew quit on them all at once and that crew that quit was actually a very good crew that took care of issues right away and on the same day and now seems like there is no one to do the work or who care to help when there's an issue. Not once do they offer compensation or a discount for all the issues that occur, they brush everything off and don't care about any of the residents. A lot of things have changed since I moved in and before this was a pleasant community to live at and now its a headache. Looking to move elsewhere very soon.”

Since the new owners and new management took over it has steady gone down-hill. The property is no longer kept up, the locks on the gates no longer work, outside porch lights only work sometimes. The worst is the manager. If and when you get to talk to her she is very rude and abrupt with you. That’s when you can catch her there and are allowed to talk to her. Most of the time she isn’t there. My apartment was broken into in the middle of the night while I was there alone. It took the whole day for them to come fix the door, and by fix I mean they patched the broken frame. I told them the frame needed to be replaced because it was no longer secure. It was never fixed. The same day a car was vandalized and that afternoon one of the tenants was shot in the head. I only had two months left on my lease and wanted to talk to the manager about getting out of the lease because I no longer felt safe there and was no longer able to stay in the apartment alone. She would have the office staff tell me she wasn’t in and even went as far as locking the front door and closing the blinds to her office. Manager and corporate information was refused on several occasions. After they refused to sign my notice that I was moving out I tried to send it Certified and they refused it. All of this after they went up $320.00 a month on my apartment and never made any repairs, the walls were all cracked from the foundation settling and they refused to replace my carpet that was already over 10 years old. Other apartments have had sewage back up problems that were not taken care of until the Health Dept. got involved. The website advertises great features that are not there and what is there is very old. The management is not interested in the safety or well-being of the tenants. They are strictly there for a pay check.”
— 6333 Chimney Rock Rd · Houston“This place is trash! Worse apartment complex I have ever lived in, management never answers emails or phone calls and when they do they are very rude. Only nice to take your money. Please look at the entire complex not just the front, it is a dump. There is never parking, my car was towed twice from my own spot even though I had proof and parking tag. If you cater to a diverse community obviously you have different methods of communication in order to facilitate messaging between people who have various schedules. None of my email were ever answered. Did get a call from someone trying to rent me a unit, even though I was a tenant trying to get out of this nightmare. Dog poop everywhere because no one picks up, garbage rotting and overflowing, my apartment had roaches the day I moved in and that never went away, they never even changed my carpet (it was covered in dog hair, stains, and was even melted in one room), people smoking blunts on the balconies with toddlers running around, the dog park is a joke, the fence was done so poorly the wind knocked it over and people have jumped it running from the cops, a man sleeps in the gazebo regularly or in the breezeways when it's cold, the gate is a nightmare, someone even hit it right after they had "fixed it", my neighbors smoked so much the smoke came in through my closet and bathroom, no routine maintenance done like filter changes or smoke alarm checks in fact none of my smoke alarms had working batteries when I moved in (all of my other places did this regularly without you having to ask), there was a leak in my apartment from the previous tenant's washing machine and the wall never hardened when they patched it (the patchworks was BADLY done), I reported someone attempted to break into my unit and they bend the lock mechanism, their fix was just to hammer it back in place (you could see where it was bent and where it was hit), kids running around breaking things like the lamps outside of people's doors, someone broke into the mailboxes and we had to have our mail rerouted for a week, and the kicker completely negating to recognize or go through the process to verify ESAs or Service Animals with legit Doctor's documentation that was sent via the myriad of emails they never checked or answered. Just save yourself the nightmare, for the price of these apartments places like Main Street Renewal can get you an actual house, in a decent neighborhood and without erroneously charging you for ESAs.”
— 6333 Chimney Rock Rd · Houston“Charging more, unethical, belligerent, cut all services The property manager, Delia, will humiliate you, try to intimidate you, tow your car, refuse to serve you. She will not even hear you out for maintenance requests or accommodate questions why she barges uninvited into your apartment without wearing a mask. So many scams going on with the new owners, I don’t even know when to start. They are ninja experts at predator behavior on poor people.”
— 6333 Chimney Rock Rd · Houston“Well right now the new management is the worse that park at Bellaire have ein a life time the manager is not Mexican is not American she is so rude and the maintenance is the worse right now the old owner sell the property to a new owner so is getting worse here sorry but I'm honest to tell the true.”
— 6333 Chimney Rock Rd · Houston“I was told there was no applocation fee but they tried to charge me 50 dollars for the application and they also said there was a 199 but they tried to charge me 599 dollars to move in. They had an ad on Facebook and it was far from reality. I was mislead”

— 6333 Chimney Rock Rd · Houston“I moved in November 2018. I told the manager my bedroom window was painted shut they fixed it in February. I told them the hinges on the kitchen cabinets were broken still haven't fixed it. I told them the lights over the stairway was out making it very dangerous to use the stairs at night the bulbs haven't been replaced. I was given a key to the outside gates, supposed to be a security building, four days later all the locks were removed. I was told they have a fitness center, there's a room with a sign reading fitness room but it's locked and empty. The city put signs up that the pools and hot tip we closed. Dogs and cats run wild. In the dog run people use it for a dump. You find empty beer and soda cans mostly empty antifreeze cans oily rags there was even an old frying pan. One more thing someone dumped about 50 bait fish to rot I ask for a garbage can to be place there but they refused. Today after the rain I noticed paint was dumped into the water puddles. They say there's an emergency call button in the apartment I can't find it. Non residents are always roaming around the complex. The main light in the kitchen works about 50% of the I bring this up to management they don't listen or care. I've ask a number of times to talk to the owner but again they refuse”
— 6333 Chimney Rock Rd · Houston“This community and owner -------------- are responsible for giving me the worst experience I've ever had to endure. Owner is a low life miserable scum. This place is infested with BEDBUGS, nothing ever gets fixed. AVOID AT ALL COST.”
— 6333 Chimney Rock Rd · Houston“Absolutely love these apartments. They have three pools with a hot tub, valet trash service, all of the new management people are very friendly and make living here feel very welcoming, feels like my home. Plus it's dog friendly. Every morning I go down to drink the free coffee they offer and socialize in the clubroom with my neighbors or play cards. They also offer free van shuttle service to go to the store or my doctor's appointments. They have free cable and internet for only $35. We go on trips every week to different places. I don't always go but it is nice they offer them. I park my car under covered parking for $30 a month, I like my car not being hot.”
— 6333 Chimney Rock Rd · Houston“The review of Park at Bellaire is as follows: First off this place is NOT a retirement community and in no way assisted living, there are activities planned and sometimes there really are bus trips, though they are often without a bus driver. There are many kids living on the property. The pools have been closed for at least a year going on two. The gates brake often, and it is super easy for gangs ( many in the area ) to enter the property, even if the car entrance gates are working, many of the pedestrian ones are wide open. The main problem with the property is that not only are there management problems often there is NO management as the most any managers stay is three months. The maintenance staff is even worse, new ones every week. The rent is the same as other properties in the area The advertisement for this property is very deceptive, the grounds are in very poor condition and so are the units. The alarms they say they have in the units do not work. The free phones is true but plan on them being broken often. Oh and by the way the club house is not open 24/7”
— 6333 Chimney Rock Rd · Houston“DO NOT RENT HERE. The apartment is old. Gates are always malfunction. Fitness is always broken. No internet providers allowed. The only good thing is cheap rent.”
— 6333 Chimney Rock Rd · Houston“This is not a retirement community by any stretch of the imagination. There are many children living here and not with grandparents. Service is deplorable. It can, and generally does, take weeks to fix anything. Air conditioners and refrigerators are not on the priority list. They advertise bus transportation twice a week for of service going on six months. Planned trips are also scheduled. They fall behind the errand trips. I have lived here 2 1/2 yrs. This is the second time the bus has been out of service for six months. So lets roughly say it might work half of the time. It has been out of service for shorter periods between the two six month lapses. The front building gets free wifi, the rest of us pay $35 a month for internet service. Dogs run loose off leash. Pools just reopened after being closed by the city for one year. I don't know if this makes these places any worse or the same as what is around here, but my advice is go seek elsewhere. Oh yes, I have lived here, like I said about 2 1/2 years have had over 40 managers since I have been here.”

— 6333 Chimney Rock Rd · Houston“THIS IS NOT A RETIREMENT COMMUNITY. I have seen more young people and lots and lots of children before I have seen elderly people. CABLE- YOU HAVE TO LAUGH THEY TELL CABLE IS DIRECT TV, BUT IT IS NOT. YOU HAVE TO CALL A COMPANY CALLED ELEATURE TO HOOK UP YOUR CABLE. YOU CALL AND CALL, BUT NO ONE EVER COMES OUT. IF THEY DO COME OUT, THEN YOU HAVE TO SIGN A 2 YEAR AGREEMENT. YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO CALL 911 FROM YOUR HOME PHONE. THAT IS REDICULOUS. BEFORE I MOVED IN, THE MANAGER AND THE LEASING AGENT TOLD ME THAT YES YOU CAN CALL 911. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. ANONYMOUS”
— 6333 Chimney Rock Rd · Houston“I moved to this complex 4 years ago to be closed to my Mother ( she lives here for the past 11 years and she love the place ) The place is great for the price , yes they do have too many younger couples in the place (not bad people ) . The only problem they have is the Internet (but is you get a Hot Spot no problem at all ) ...They do change management company often but they all nice people . The place is closed to the City .”
— 6333 Chimney Rock Rd · Houston“I have been living here for a year and just recently renewed my lease. Honestly it has been a constant frustration with the cable. Direct Tv is the only company allowed to furnish the cable but they are not allowed to fix it. You have to use another company to fix it that is owned by the owner of the apartments and when you call to report a problem the earliest you get on the schedule is 3 weeks away and a lot of the times they don't even show up when scheduled. As far as repairs in the apartment I never use to have problems. I would report it and someone would be out that day. Now they have new management, by the way has changed 3 times over the last year and this management is not getting things done. They really don't seem to care. When the old management left they took their maintenance people with them and now things are not getting fixed. I reported an issue a month ago and it still has not been fixed. Last week I reported two other issues and of course they have not been fixed. There is(2)washers and dryers in the wash room and usually one is broken. As for roaches, that is one thing I have never had an issue with. If i had not already renewed my lease I would be looking to move. I am stuck here another year and if things don't improve I will be moving. The complex is pretty quit but they have been renting to younger people now and it seems to be getting bad. This is suppose to be a retirement community but they do lease to younger people. The owner seems to be more concerned about his money than his tenants.”
— 6333 Chimney Rock Rd · Houston“SAVE YOUR TIME, EFFORT, MONEY AND GAS and do not even bother to check this place out! Yes, the rent is cheap, but as the saying goes, you only get as good as you pay for. I was told that there would be a new refrigerator and a new washer/dryer in the unit when i moved in. when i moved in the refrigerator did not work and there was no washer/dryer. They replaced the refrigerator with an old dented one with a broken ice machine that still has not been fixed. They finally got me a washer/dryer which apparently came from some kind of coin op laundry type place which is also a piece of dented, rusted, crap. The water pressure is so low that you basically have to stand up against the front wall of the shower to get wet. Drinking water out of the tap comes out real cloudy and it takes a while to settle and clear out. It needs to be purified before being safe to drink and possibly even boiled. When you need emergency maintenance service, like the night my electricity went out, you call the emergency maintenance number and you get a message saying that the mailbox is full. Never has any one answered the number and the mail box is always full, so you have to wait until the office reopens. If your need emergency maintenance at 2:01 pm on a Saturday, you have to wait until the office reopens on Monday morning to put in a complaint. I have to have the apartment exterminated for bugs by the complex on a regular basis. They come in and spray, but it is only a couple of days before the roaches are back. The complex has a no compete contract for cable and internet service to the complex and no other service is available through other providers. They both constantly go out and it's worse than pulling teeth trying to get a technician out. Last time the internet went out, it took a month to get it back up and running again. Guess who owns the company that provides cable and internet. You got it, the same slum lord that owns the complex. I could go on and on, but you have the idea by now. The owner needs to be taken to court. Good riddance to the place. Consider yourself warned.”
— 6333 Chimney Rock Rd · Houston“can not call 911 from phone service provided by Bellaire at park”
— 6333 Chimney Rock Rd · Houston“I moved into the Park at Bellaire Apts. because I was told that you had to be over a certain age and without children. It is a quiet place and that is about the only thing I like about it. However, I was promised a new carpet as the old one has had it and guess what, I was never given a new carpet! Now, I live in a decent apartment with an old stained carpet and it even had bedbugs. Management will not do anything about it. The owner is a Jewish chap so you take it from there. If I could move to a better place I'd do it, but my experience with apartments has always been one with noisy neighbors, thieves and hookers. Who needs that? They say that you will get a 300 dollars deduction in your rent if you refer someone to the apartments and they get approved, but do you think I'm going to refer anybody, no sir. That's a sure way to lose a friend.”
— 6333 Chimney Rock Rd · Houston“In response to the review regarding the 70 year old lady: There was a problem, which involved a change in management companies on July 5, 2011. The previous management company did not take the necessary steps getting the apartment ready for occupancy. She was asked to postpone her move for a week, but she needed to get here and settled as she was starting a job on Monday. Management has been in contact with her and she is extremely nice and pleasant to work with. The idea that she got here with her belongings and was totally unaware of the situation is incorrect. She was notified of the problem before she had her movers start loading her belongings and chose to come on to Houston from the Dallas area, despite not being able to move in on Friday. She stored her furniture and stayed with her daughter, who lives here in Houston. Management has been in touch with her and met her at the property this weekend to get her mail. She was very sweet and understanding. The owner has called her and they have agreed that she will move into her apartment later this week. On a side note, other than this review, you will note that all the other negative reviews are from 2008 and back. They have had problems with insurance from Hurricane Ike damage, but finally received the funds from the insurance company a couple of months ago and have just finished completely replacing the roof and are now remodeling all the units damaged by Ike. There are several very nice units ready for immediate occupancy. You will find that we have great residents, some having lived here for 10-12 years. Park at Bellaire is a very quiet, safe place to live. Read the reviews but, come see it for yourself!”
— 6333 Chimney Rock Rd · Houston“I believe every word you have stated about making this ady homeless.I lived there for a year and was miserable. All this place is interested in is taking your money. The management and maintenance is horrible. Mold is everywhere, nothing works and all of these senior citizens live there who are poor and have nowhere else to go. It is a very sad situation and I believe there are grounds for mistreatment and neglect.”
— 6333 Chimney Rock Rd · Houston“an elderly 70 woman was promised an apartment after putting down a deposit at the Park on Bellaire. This 70 year old woman had her mail forwarded to her new address, put her deposit down four weeks prior to move in date. This 70 year woman was approved and told when her move in date was. She was due to move 7/8/11, had already scheduled movers on 7/8/11, terminated her job in Dallas , her move out date of her apartment in Dallas was on7/8/11 and, again, her move in date for new apartment at Park at Bellaire apartments was 7/8/11. She called the Park at Bellaire on 7/7/11 to make arrangements to pick up her key for her new apartment. The Park of Bellaire stated they didn't have her a place ready and couldn't give her date when one would be ready. This 70 year old woman now had no place to go as the movers loaded her furniture for the move to Houston. The Parks of Belllaire could care less the hell they put this elderly woman through. They were absolutely stoic in emotions, didn't offer to make arrangements, nor any apologies, kept her money and basically told her to "hit the road". This poor woman was stranded in Houston after spending thousands of dollars with a truck load of furniture and movers waiting impatiently to unload their load. How can an apartment complex that is suppose to offer seniors a home take a 70 year old woman's money, promise her an apartment several weeks in advance, and on move in date state " we don't have any place for you?" and shut their door on a elderly woman who is basically stranded in their parking lot with all of her belongings sitting in a moving truck with no place to go? They didn't lift one finger to help this lady they promised an apartment to and to top things off they kept her deposit. Currently I rescued this lady left homeless in the parking lot of the Park of Bellaire apartment moved her belongings into a storage facility and offered her a place to stay until she can find her a new place. this has been one of the most traumatic experiences this lady has ever had to go through all perpetrated by the coldness and callousness of the mgmt team at the Park of Bellaire. i am a mission to cause this apartment complex as much bad publicity for making promises and not full filling their promises, taking money and failing to give it back and for causing this 70 year old woman to become homeless. I have never seen people who can be so cruel and heartless to an elderly woman. SHAME ON YOU PARKS OF BELLAIRE.”
