“I strongly urge renters searching for a new home to pass this property by. Ever since I've had to report managers to corporate for forcing me to deal with an defective stove for 4-5 months they've been giving me horrible attitudes. Just today I called them out for making a mistake on my ledger balance they had the ordasity to give me attitudes and walking out of office area before even closing out my concerns. I regret the day I came to this property to sign a lease. Please pass apartment complex when searching for a new home, they have the worst service I've seen in decades”

My truck was towed the first week I was here an tried getting manager to refund money. She wouldn't listen. Had to go to tow court and won. Don't come here!”
— 5535 TIMBER CREEK PLACE DR · Houston“Despite all the bad reviews on this particular apartment complex, I went with my gut and signed a lease here recently. While parking is definitely a nightmare after 5pm, this apartment complex is fairly quiet and nice. From some simple research about the apartment, I found it was built in the 80s, which explains the bland and boring exterior of the buildings, however, the inside of our apartment has ample space and is very nice to live in. Rent is reasonably priced and the staff at the leasing office do genuinely seem to care about their residents. I read many bad reviews about management here, but I never really had any problems with the staff. All of the other residents are people that are older than I am or are just trying to take care of their families and pretty much keep to themselves. I haven't dealt with any creeps or thugs and everyone in the community seem to be fairly respectable, hardworking people. The downside to this community would have to be the surrounding apartments. People from these said surrounding apartments like to linger in the streets at night and hang out late. I never had any problems with these people, however. All in all, this apartment complex is awesome for the price and I would definitely recommend it to anybody looking for an apartment in this area.”
— 5535 TIMBER CREEK PLACE DR · Houston“My girlfriend and I visited this place recently (Saturday April 6th). We choose to look at this location because of the cheap prices for the large floor plan. First glance: The location looked decent, I noticed a lot of other apartment complexes in the area, but nothing really -stood- out compared to others. Staff: The lady there was nice, and provided an adequate service. We asked to see floor plan B, which is the larger of the two one bedroom (Plan A 593 sqft and Plan B 703 sqft). Luckily for us, there was a model home available for this floor plan. Touring the model home / floor plan: Before I even get to the "model" home, on our way there I noticed several off-putting things. First of all the sidewalk was shotty, dirty, and looked like had been through an earthquake. Second, the pool didn't look like it had been cleaned in awhile even though it is open year-round. Lastly, I can hear some loud salsa music on the way to the model home. At the "model" home, it looked ... dirty and dim. The living room and the dining room looked well kept, the kitchen was poorly lit and the appliances look like they were from the 60s. The bedroom had a good amount of open space, however the bathroom was a mess. For some reason the ceiling was lower than the rest of the unit, I'm 6'1" which probably brought the ceiling level around 6'3" or 6'4" (give or take an inch). The ceilings also had what looked like water damage and they had painted over (or tried too) the damage? Also, I can hear a different set of music (some Mariachi) playing while inspecting the bathroom. The W/D was located in the closet and just looked horrible. I understand that the appliances aren't suppose to work in the model units, but knobs were missing and doors were ajar. Overall I was very disappointed with Bear Creek. The model home is suppose to be your selling point correct? This is what you show your prospective residents this could be where you live, imagine your future here! Presentation is key, if this is your selling point then ... I'd redo your business plan. C'mon guys, I was embarrassed FOR you.”
— 5535 TIMBER CREEK PLACE DR · Houston“If you're looking for a 3 month lease, don't bother. Despite advertising 3 month leases on their website AND have an app on their website to generate a quote for 3 month leases for a particular apartment, they do not offer short leases. Nor will they honor the quotes generated on their website. A little truth in advertising would have saved me a lot of time! Or having the decency to honor what their website says would go a long way too. If the apartment can't honor their own advertisement, you'd probably be better off looking elsewhere...doubt it will improve much over the life of your lease.”
— 5535 TIMBER CREEK PLACE DR · Houston“The view at first was kinda sketchy but after walking and actually renting an apartment here I love it. I could not find any other apartment complex affordable like Bear Creek Crossing. I am a student and I recommend it to any person who is looking for a quiet and enjoyable place to study. The office staff is really nice and friendly. Everytime there is a problem with my apartment the maintenence people always show up as soon as possible. recommend to anyone looking for something inexpensive with great value.”
— 5535 TIMBER CREEK PLACE DR · Houston“I like the place. it is very quiet! The office staff is very nice and friendly(: parking can be a little problem if you get back from work late but will find where to park even if it is a little far from your apartment!(: Apartment complexs always have the problem with the parking lot so it is something normal. I recommend it!”
— 5535 TIMBER CREEK PLACE DR · Houston“This place was okay in the beginning. A few months after moving in, a new manager Kristi took over the property. She appeared to be nice, but then she showed her true colors which were not so nice. I liked the maintenance team, they were prompt each time we had a problem in our apartment. We basically broke our lease after the parking became a problem. Initially, we were giving a plastic green sign to hang from our rear view mirror in our car to specify we lived there. Then it changed to a red decal sticker to post in our car. There's a towing service that comes around midnight to 4 am in the morning to tow cars that don t have the posted sticker. Many, many, many cars were towed (I saw it), $200 a pop. The car is towed to some far away location too. My neighbor had a friend from out of town and his suburban was towed. Our cars were never towed though. Next, the mgmt team decided if you owned more than 2 vehicles than you would have to pay a $100 for a third red decal stick. Now the first two stickers are free, but a third a $100. We had 3 vehicles. It was just me and my husband only, no children. The other problem we had during our time there was finding a parking spot. During the day people go to work and there are plenty of parking spots, but after 5 pm when people start getting home from work or wherever the spots start to fill up quickly. There were a few times when we had to park a good distance from our apartment (where I could not see my car). We lived upstairs and in the beginning we were able to park right in front of our apartment and I like to be able to see mine vehicles from my window. That was one of our reasons for choosing the particular apartment we lived in; easy viewing and access to our vehicles in the parking lot and the dumpster. In addition my next door neighbor s vehicle was broken into; they stole her car radio and speakers. Kristi, the manager never even attempted to post a notice around the property about the burglary. If you are thinking about renting here, just be aware about the parking availability and towing problems. The price was right at the time we needed to be. Also, when our lease ran out after a year, Kristi did offer to keep our rent the same, if we signed for another year, which we did. That was great at the time, but the parking became unbearable. One more thing I forgot to mention: Some idiot hit both of our cars one evening; one car was backed in and the other was facing the fence and there was a car between them when we left to go out of town that morning. Came back that evening and the tail light was broken on one car which we had to replace and other car the side park light and fender was scratched. We reported it to the mgmt team. But I know there was nothing they could do. But it just pissed us off so bad. Good luck if you move here and god bless you if you live there now.”
“I have lived in this apartment complex for years. I must say that the property management team has made a considerable effort to thwart the influx of individuals that do not respect their neighbors. Bear Creek Crossing is probably the most organized and safe complex in the timber creek area. The problem that most of disgruntled tenants have is that they are not allowed to continuously break the rules in the complex and make excessive noise. This apartment complex is not a ------ it is a peaceful community where people can live and enjoy the amenities offered. It so sad that this post was made based on race, because ignorance has no color nor does it come in one package. I want everyone reading this post to ask yourselves this question is it considerate to sit on the patio until 3am drinking and making excessive noise barbecuing next to the building (which is against the apartment rules and fire codes) or stomping on the second floor in the middle of the night? I ask anyone reading this previous post to consider these factors. My biggest concern is people that participate in this type of discourteous behavior have no concern for their fellow man and lack the common decency to show respect. There is nothing wrong with having fun, and participating in recreation. However, recreation is satisfactory as long as it does not disturb the peacefulness that everyone in the community is due. People that violate the basic rules of respect and consideration may need to choose a neighborhood where they can operate in a manner that best suits them.”

— 5535 TIMBER CREEK PLACE DR · Houston“The apartments it self was nice. Security was not very good, gates were constantly broken. My car was broken into and my cheap $80 stereo and CD's and other items out of my car were stolen. The office refused to help and said that I just needed to call the police and make a report. I explained that the least they could do is send out a notice of cars being broken into they stated they did not have time for that, they only send out warnings when there has been phycical harm on a person. I did not renew my lease and moved. The next day after moving my mother and I spent 8hrs cleaning the apartment. They not only took my deposit of $250 but charged me an additional $250 dollars for cleaning fee's, claiming the blinds were all torn up, there were stains on the carpet trash left in the apartment, and bathrooms were not cleaned. We actually steamed cleaned the carpet before we walked out and my mom cleaned (scrubed the bathrooms and kitchen-including the stove!). The blinds were in good working contition when I left and we took that last of the trash out (one trash can full) when we walked out the door. But because I did not have pictures to prove this I had to pay it to get another apartment.”
— 5535 TIMBER CREEK PLACE DR · Houston“RUN! I wish I would have found this site before I rented here. The office staff is lazy and controlling at the same time if that's even possible. The manager "Velma" invades your personal space she walked into my apartment several times. Her son is also on property and he STOLE the maintenance man's keys and broke into several apartments and stole countless amounts of things. Even for the price it is NOT SAFE because of the way it is operated. Infested with roaches even outside and the "playground" equipment has been broken many times. PLEASE TRUST ME ON THIS.”
— 5535 TIMBER CREEK PLACE DR · Houston“I would have to say this is the worst experience that I have ever had with apartments. First the manager "Kristi" thinks that she is so much better than everyone and her crap doesn't stink, WRONG!! She is very unprofessional and acts like she doesn't care about "her" residents. Since I walked in the office to give my application it was pure hell, except for the lady who helped me, Marcia. She was very sweet and helped anyway she could until Kristi got involved and then she turned right into her. My advice would be to turn around and not look back. Oh and if you have a car make sure that you have the "correct" parking permit cause Kristi likes to have your car towed if not. Even if it is a permit that they gave you. Trust me I know...she had mine towed. As far as security goes...it sucks. My 3rd night there I walked out on my balcony to see trash on it and then looked down and there was a homeless man sleeping next to the fence to my downstairs neighbor and when I called the management about it all they said was they couldn't do anything to call the cops...---- I could have been dead by all that time... I am buying out my lease just so I don't have to deal with her crap anymore.”
— 5535 TIMBER CREEK PLACE DR · Houston“Well, where do I start my experience here is the worst. Christi the "manager" if you can call her that is horrid. Talk about no kind of proffessional skills she is rude beyond belief. I cannot believe how she speaks to residents and even potential residents. I would run from this place veryyyyyy far away. I had to buy my lease out in order not to deal with her crap.Oh yeah by the way she has a really good rep for being the ---- of the property.....go figure. They did have staff that were nice for a brief moment but they are gone. I do not recommend this place really only becouse of her otherwise this place may be ok.”
— 5535 TIMBER CREEK PLACE DR · Houston“The Property Manager "Christi" is plaln rude. I referred three family member who can't believe and forgive me for doing that now were all moving the "HELL" out of there. By the way the only nice respectful person is the maintenance personal Gus. I don't recommed you there.”
— 5535 TIMBER CREEK PLACE DR · Houston“I filled out an application and plunked down a deposit to get them to keep an apartment open while my app was being processed. I was clear that I was under deadline pressure to get a place, being new to town and starting my job that week. Two days went by and I heard nothing while I kept my search going. I drove by their complex at night and didn't like the loud music and lots of vehicles and people milling around. I did find another place and went back to let them know and get my deposit back. They said in my application, I agreed to forfeit the deposit if I withdrew after I'd been approved. I didn't know I was approved because they didn't call me. Legally they're right, but they could have been good sports about it and just handed it back over, like good people would do. Not these guys. My rep was very sweet, but her boss is a royal ____. Avoid this complex if you can.”
— 5535 TIMBER CREEK PLACE DR · Houston“The lighting is bad, maintanence sucks, no courtesy officer, office staff is rude & now they dont care about noise. I've lived here almost 3 years (counting down the days until my lease is up!) and the noise gets worse. There are also 30 kids that run around unsupervised. The pool used to close at 10pm to be courteous for residents near the pool - now that there is no officer on site management doesnt care. Parking is also a HUGE pain! There is never anywhere to park - the lots are too smal for the amount of residents that live in the complex. Also, the grass is dying near the pool so it's just dirt - it's horrible!”
— 5535 TIMBER CREEK PLACE DR · Houston“I have stayed there for 3 years with no problems and the neighbors our great people!!! Of course if i was willing to pay 300-500 more then I wouldn't stay there. You get what you pay for!”
— 5535 TIMBER CREEK PLACE DR · Houston“My husband and I lived there a little while ago. We had an apartment facing the street. The first week we were there, we had some friends helping us move the rest of our stuff in. We were unloading a truck when all of a sudden a white cadillac drove by, came almost to a stop, then squeeled it's tires and took off. We also heard gunshots, but thought they were shooting at the property across the street. The cops came and took a report. When we returned to our apartment, we found 6 bullet holes in our bedroom. The window in our bedroom was completely shattered. We called management, but they did not come out to fix it until the next day. Needless to say, we didn't stay there long. They let us go...”
— 5535 TIMBER CREEK PLACE DR · Houston“From my living experience here, I have old appliances from the 80's (can we upgrade please). The lights on the porches don't work, don't walk by yourself, you have to many men lurking around. The motion detectors don't detect human motion because the light comes on after you pass it. The people that live here are canidates for prison inmates. The area I stayed in out of 8 apartments 2 were rented. I had neighbors that beat each other up and their friends in broad daylight. Do not live here if you want piece and quiet and feel safe.”
— 5535 TIMBER CREEK PLACE DR · Houston“Throught the 12 months, I lived at Bear Creek crossing, we have experienced 2 automobile breakins. The first night I was there, there were several vehicles that were vandalized. On Janurary 15 2004 vandals stole a wheel of of my Toyota Corolla. The lighting accross the property is insufficient, and I do not feel safe there. On the other hand, the people are friendly, and the office staff is polite and good-natured”
