“This has been the worst experience in my life living here. I left in early march 2020. I spoke with property manager yesenia after moving out i been expecting my security deposit it also says in the contract and yesenia the manager told me to expect it in mail i have called went to office and call she lies and tell me to wait. When i call she pretends to not be there nor does she return my calls. I'm to the point where i well need to call the news for support. The customer service is horrible . awful place to stay. Do not move your family to this apartments. Please. Horrible customer service. My 12 month lease was not what i expected . i need my money and they are avoiding me. I feel as tho they have stolen my money. Ive also heard others who are experiencing the same thing”

Excessive roaches, wasp, and mice were regular guest at my unit. I also had a lot of maintenance that needed fixing that fell on deaf ears. I had this old stove that caught fire on multiple occasions and never had a working refrigerator. The dishwasher had mold, and about two moths into my stay mold began to seep through the paint. I had to vacate due to the inhumanely environment that caused me to catch pneumonia. I was unable to break my lease. My prorated rent was $826 a month although I paid well over one thousand dollars a month. They also charge me over $70 a month for gas outside of my energy bill that i paid through another company. I would not recommend these apartments to any one especially if you have children. My stove had roaches living inside because every time i cut it on to cook they would run out because it was hot.”
— 13913 ELLA BLVD · Houston“I love our new place i love the office staff roomie residents and very respectful staff they are very caring and helpful. They went out their way to accomodate us. I recommend this place to anyone they are very affordable and up to date.......”
— 13913 ELLA BLVD · Houston“This is the worst place I have ever lived in my live. The apartments stay so nasty until vaulters are constantly circling the property. Is privately own by a slum lord which in Pecan Square Timbers and Portifino apartments they are all run down nasty roach infested apartments. They are always turning over staff because it's so nasty and too much work. Kicked in apartment vandalize your car and about 200 parent less kids running around tearing this property down. So if you want to have the slum lord experience of a life time. Well look no further and make this your new home. And its so ------ the will never increase your rent so you can live with the ------ trash they let in. They so desperate for resident at all their properties until they break all the rental rules for whom they choose. But judging by the tenants they are not too picky. They will never answer the phones so don't bother and always making up things to run up cost. If you have an ounce of common sense keep looking. You know how you say I would not live there even if it was free well this is that place.”
— 13913 ELLA BLVD · Houston“Hi i resided at Monticello on Cranbrook for 4 plus years and i was very happy and satisfied with my residency. The staff was amazing and always went above and beyond for the residents. While i enjoyed our stay the only we had to move on was we needed more space for our family.Otherwise we would have extended our stay.”
— 13913 ELLA BLVD · Houston“I've been living here since april 2016. 1st off it took forever for them to get my apartment ready. I called every day to see if it was ready. They would either not answer the phone at all or say call back at a certain time. When i moved in there was still things that they had to fix like my dishwasher (has never worked ) the kitchen light, kitchen floor and my cabinets. NOTHINGS Got fixed yet. Then my A/C kept goin out for abt 3 months along with a roof leak. Maintenance barely fixed anything. It took months for them to fix my A/C ! Then they NEVER answer their phone or be open when their suppose to be open. Do not move to these apartments at all !”
— 13913 ELLA BLVD · Houston“Maintenance takes forever. The a/c units suck during the summer and their excuse is your apt will be 15-20 degrees different than the outside temp. Total bs. I've never had this issue in any other apt and ive always lived upstairs. But I can count on it to be 75- 85 degrees In my apt all summer. The pics were taken at 9:30 p.m.. Its 80 degrees outside and 80 in my apt and i have 3 fans plugged in and both bedroom fans on high. Its ridiculous. I assume trash is only picked up once a week because the dumpsters (all on one side of the apts) are always over flowing. The police are here almost/probably everyday. That does not make me feel safe at all. Noise all day and night. Security in only here while the office is open. After 6 they're gone. For some reason everyone thinks they should come outside to argue. New office employees constantly. The best thing about these apts is the large patio. The units are a nice size but not worth the constant increase especially when nothing gets fixed. Pest control is mandatory $2 every month even if you don't want it.”
— 13913 ELLA BLVD · Houston“PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! Lets start with the grounds.. it stays dirty, sewing overflows in front of my apartment, buzzards stay around swarming over dead animals(just disgusting), The staff is incompetent. Don't ask to get anything fixed it will never happen! My ceiling has leaked since I moved in and they patched it up and the leak spread elsewhere in the apartment that has caused mold!! I hate it here!!!”
— 13913 ELLA BLVD · Houston“Moved here last month and before moving in I request the cabinets to be fixed and they wasn't. The dishwasher literally moves cause it's not secured. The patio light doesn't work and when I tried to change it water poured out so it's an electrical issue. The property manager is very nice but she is understaffed and this cosmetic work they do is horrible which causes more issues later on. I have stayed here one night and the locks on the door can't lock at the same time nor did the patio door have a lock in it. The bathroom in the master has some issues as well the knobs need cocking cause they move when you turn it and the toilet keeps running. Since I pay for water the toilet is going to be the reason why the bill is high. My door over looks a pile of trash through a wired fence.”
— 13913 ELLA BLVD · Houston“It's not safe, I've been here a few months and I've heard gun shots frequently around my apartment. The drain outside backs up and sewage overflows. I could go on but those are the top 2 of my list.”
— 13913 ELLA BLVD · Houston“I've lived here for 3 months. When I did my walk through of the apartment there we're several things wrong ie:the stove didn't work and when it did it caught on fire, none of my doors would close all the way, the carpet was nasty. Just a few of the things. They claimed they couldn't fix anything because it "wasn't in the budget" Linda is rude. She cursed me out and hung up in my face for asking a general question about my apartment. I would not recommend anyone move over here.”
— 13913 ELLA BLVD · Houston“I moved in Aug 1st and I must say I love it here. The apartment inside is very nice. I have a 2bed 2bath layout. My patio is very large and fireplace is my favorite part of the apartment. New cabinets, new rug and fresh paint when we arrived. The office staff is very helpful and caring. They make sure to meet all needs once your moved in. I heard it was new owners, must say they are doing a outstanding job with turning this place around. If you have kids this would be great for them to meet new friends with smiling faces. There are near by schools and they also carry a after school lunching for them also. Words can only go so far. You must come by to see for yourself.”
— 13913 ELLA BLVD · Houston“When we first came to look at the apartments they looked pretty clean and people seemed friendly. That has drastically changed sinc. then. For starters when we moved in we discovered that the bathtub in the master was leaking, leaking so bad that our dining room carpet was soaked. They finally replaced the tub, 5 MONTHS LATER. (Also the day I went into labor) So keep in mind that I went through a nesting stage (still going through it) so everything was super clean. About a week later the German touches started showing up. And still are not gone. So we decided to buy out of our lease. So we told the front office. Than our dish washer broke, I called the office and told them... me: "Hi, our dish washer isn't working." Manager: "Okay?" me: "Can you send someone to fix it?" Manager: "I guess I can put in a work order." after a week maintenance showed up looked at it and said "yeah its broken" (no! Really?! ) its still not fixed and its been 3 weeks. Just save yourself the trouble. Nobody needs this kind of stress.”
— 13913 ELLA BLVD · Houston“These apartment have the potential to be very great. I currently stay here now and the management have gotten extremely better since the new group has came in. I honestly feel as if they are trying their best with what they have been dealt with. The prices are reasonable and I love that they have security that is there almost 24/7. I also like the upgrades on the apartments but I never get to benefit from them considering there is always something wrong. I also have some bad points about these apartments. When I moved in they told me that everything would be new and that was a lie. My bathrooms was horrible. My plumbing is terrible I woke up this morning my bathroom was full of water and my toilet water was continuously flowing out from the bottom of my toilet. The water doesn't work in one of my bathrooms and when maintenance comes they always say I will be back in the morning and never come back or they say it's not an emergency. The security is also not so great they put your guest out of the apartments just because they think they have the right. They also walk around Harassing the tenants again just because they feel that they can. My car have gotten hit once since I have moved there and I have seen someone else car get hit also. If most of these things don't get fixed I don't think I will renew my lease. I might even ask how I will be able to get out of my lease.”
— 13913 ELLA BLVD · Houston“This property is livable, sure you have your occasional leaks and broken toilets and A/c but they do try to accomodate as much as they can. they to have priorities for example if your A/c is out the will fix it. while my contract ended i made sure everything that needed to be mixed was fixed. the staff was never rude to me or my husband. They did try to make us different offers but when i first moved in my rent was 550 then i renewed and they raised it to 570. Before my contract ended they said the lowest would be 620. i said i cannot afford that so i moved out.”
— 13913 ELLA BLVD · Houston“I'm so fed up with the ------- maintenance... it took litteraly a month to fix my pipe leak it been like two weeks prob longer n they still haven't fixed my leak from the roof the damn water don't get hot if I'm bout to report them n see how to get out my lease if I can”
— 13913 ELLA BLVD · Houston“Apartment are horrible they have flying roaches that bite bad bed bugs then charge you 300 to get rid of them when they were there before you... mold in apartments. They will have maintenance to come cut the mold out then just leave it open for months they charge for anything you can't have nothing on yourpyour patio not even plants... a/c always broke and they wont fix it until the next week...”
— 13913 ELLA BLVD · Houston“PLEASE DO NOT LIVE IN THESE APARTMENTS, MANAGEMENT IS HORRIBLE. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR WELL BEING. THEY CLAIM THAT THEY DON'T HAVE ENOUGH MAINTENANCE TO FIX ISSUES IN YOUR APARTMENT, BUT THEY MAKE SURE THEY HAVE PEOPLE PAINTING THESE RAGGEDY A** APARTMENTS ON THE OUTSIDE SO THEY CAN RAISE RENT. I THINK NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I CAN'T EVEN FART OUTSIDE WITHOUT BEING STOPPED BY THE SECURITY SAYING IT IS CONSIDERED LOITERING. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. ON THE GOOD NOTE, THIS HELL HOLE I CALL A HOME IS QUIET FROM TIME TO TIME, & I CAN SOMETIMES WALK TO MY CAR FEELING COMFORTABLE. I SHOULD HAVE WENT WITH MY FIRST MIND & NOT MOVED HERE AFTER THE PREVIOUS RATINGS I SAW BUT I DIDN'T...... I WILL NOT BE RE-NEWING MY LEASE HERE.”
— 13913 ELLA BLVD · Houston“First of all, to the dumb dumb calling Monticello high rent...? Are you serious?! We pay $440 a month. No, it's not beautiful. It's Greenspoint!! Duh. The inside looks as good as you make it look. You get roaches if you're a slob. That has nothing to to with the apartment complex. If the roaches do come from your neighbors, suck it up. You'll get that whether you live in 5th ward or in the Heights. The buildings look decent, aside from the one that caught on fire a few ago. The police do not harrass anyone except whoever they're looking for. They're protecting us, and anytime I had a concern/question they always help me out. It's quiet during the day (unless you live by street and can hear the cars) and even quieter at night. The office staff is decent. Go into the office with an attitude and they'll give you attitude back. Go in smiling, and they're your best friend! All in all: it's cheap, close to everything, quiet, and I recommend them to anyone needing to save some $$. You get what you pay for, it is what it is. God Bless.”
— 13913 ELLA BLVD · Houston“Every since moving in, there has been constant problems with this apt. complex. The office manager is extremely rude. The maintenance workers are lazy & like to do quick botched jobs. These apts are roach infested and there is always a problem with not having any hot water or no water at all.(After all you do pay to have hot running water). The FBI has made an arrest over here and now there has been a major fire!!Can this get any worst??These are just a few problems to name but the list does goes on. If you are considering these apartments as option to live at,please do yourself a favor and don't!!!!RUN!!!!!!!!!”
— 13913 ELLA BLVD · Houston“I was looking for something affordable and was so very surprised to find Monticello on Cranbrook was exactly what I was looking for. The complex is very quiet. The complex rules are written for everyone's benefit. My neighbors were friendly, the grounds were kept neat, maintenance came when I needed them. At night the complex was quiet. You really can't ask for more than that. The office managers were friendly and helpful. I'd recommend Monticello on Cranbrook to those looking for a quiet affordable place to live. I was very satisfied with everything.”
— 13913 ELLA BLVD · Houston“I just moved in to monticello about 2 month ago beside the comments on here so far it has been great. I havent had any issues with the police patroling the property or the staff...”
— 13913 ELLA BLVD · Houston“This place is a police trap. the cops keep harassing the tenants and the family. if you move here you will be stuck in a virtual new world order prison. you will be paying high rent just to be harassed by Harris county deputy's. The police says the apartment manager pays them to harass tenants.”
