“I have a friend that lives in these apartments. I have tried to get my friend to see about relocating. My friend takes daily abuse from another residence as the "No Smoking" policy is not enforced, and the smoke comes through the walls and A/C ductwork/vents. One of the other reviews/replies talks about the emergency pull cords, they work fine as long as you have a land line phone and are sitting on the commode/toilet because that is where the pull cord is. Not so much help if you fall in the kitchen. But then again the walls are so thin as long as you don't become unconscious you can call out and all the neighbors in your wing can hear you. There are some neighbors that have no respect for the people around them. The place seems to be filtrated with mean spirited sorority girls. Management, appears to only be drawing a paycheck. There needs to be a On-Site Property manager. The building is so "Secure" even the Sheriff's Deputies and EMT's can't gain access when someone dials 911. Note I said "dails" 911. This building is for the elderly 62+ years of age and they only pay 30% of their adjusted income, so they can be self-sufficient. They are not charity cases. They worked hard for their pensions and Social Security checks. It isn't their fault that society has just priced the housing market out of anyones reach. I lived in a brand new 2 bdrm 2 bath apartment, 1047 sq. ft. in 1998, my rent was only $565.00 about that same apartment almost 20 years later is $1200.00. Why?? Because they can. There are subsidized apartments that actual care about there tenants. Your home should be your safe haven. I wouldn't let my loved one live here. Median rent appx $600.00 month,”

You sir are doing just as you said others have done to you which is not nice. My mother has lived at this property for nearly 10 years and during that time their has been 3 different managers at the property all of which have had their owns specific way of handling things along with incorporating the RHF rules into the mix. Neither of the negative reviews mentioned that this is income based housing for seniors. It is not an assisted living facility and people in poor medical/mental health should probably chose a residence that could provide additional help with their day to day needs. The majority of tenants pay less than $200 a month for rent for a very nice and spacious 1 bedroom apartment ...the tenants are provided assistance with utility bills...have a social worker is available several times a month on site to help residents with any personal matters they may have as well as help they apply for additional services they may qualify for and to help them with renewal paperwork for the community or medical needs. The Houston Food Bank comes once a month and provides a box of free food for each resident. The property has a safe and secure entry that requires a key bob to gain access by tenants and guests must dial the resident from the entry and the resident must grant access. The property is well maintained and very clean. The property has elevators...hand rails along the halls for those who may need a little help with walking....there is a self serve laundry facilty on site and each floor has a trash drop that eliminates the residents from needing to haul their trash outdoors....each unit is equipped with emergency pull cord in the event that a resident requires emergency assistance. There is a community room for gatherings and a lobby for those whom are waiting for a guest to arrive or transportation. Their is also a small library area in the lobby as well as restrooms and nice furnishings. There are benches in the front and the back of the property for those whom enjoy the outdoors. Some residents have added flowers and chairs to enjoy outdoors as well. Anytime you get a group of people together any age there will always be issues. Maybe more so when it's a retired group and in which many do not have their own means of transportation and spend a lot of time at home. No one is ever going to agree a 100% on anything and unfortunately we cannot control what others say as much as we would like too. While management can only do so much in regards to what others say you as an individual have several options available. One being to contact the local law enforcement and file a report for harassment. Some people are just unhappy and lonely and they have no way to express those emotions in a positive manner. I personally think that the current manager has been given the short end of the stick. She has to waste a lot of constructive time enforcing rules that residents refuse to follow. It seems as though the ones who break the rules only do so because they can get away with it. She is an apartment manager not a babysitter. So, for all of those with negative reviews please update your post from time to time and let everyone know if you are living at a safe, secure, clean property with all of these amenaties for the low cost associated with this property.”
