“The worst apartment I have ever lived in! we waited 1 hour in a half to get our keys, which we made an appointment for. The place is invested with roaches. Whenever we move out they charge a bunch of crazy fees just to rob us of our deposit. We have never been late in rent the whole 12 months we have lived there. Please don’t live there.”

“Save your time and Mental Piece and stay away from here. Leasing office folks are unreasonably professionals and you will wake up here every day by hearing Theft, Car tire thefts or Gun violence. if you care yourself , money and time, stay away from this place. some Maintenance is utterly rude here. its not safe place to live here by paying hard earned money as rent.”

“This is literally the worst apartment complex I’ve ever lived in. Management is terrible, security is terrible, maintenance is ok but they will rush the job & are sometimes needed to be called again for the same issue. If you have any complaints management doesn’t care. I had to reach out to corporate multiple times (calls & emails) for my complaints but Mr Patel who is over this property is obviously friends with the property manager because he ignored my complaints about Sagar (manager) I only got a reply to his email (3 weeks after it was sent) because I went above his head & reached out to the Vice President of the company, she obviously got on him about my email. I broke my lease because this property is not safe, even with security patrolling the grounds. The drive in gate has been broken & left wide open off & on the entire time I’ve lived here. The walk in gate doesn’t need a code, you literally just twist the handle & it opens. It’s basically an open property. There have been multiple car break ins & wheels stolen. All 4 wheels stolen with the car left on a cinderblock. 4 cars in 1 night recently. At this point I’m convinced security is in on it or he’s sleeping on the job. Also, twice there has been gunfire at the complex. Both nights I heard it (weeks apart) one morning I actually saw the bullet casings out in front of the complex. I had to bring it to managements attention twice before they picked it up. I should’ve known from the beginning that this property was a hot mess because when I first moved in they only gave me 1 set of keys, they said they needed to make the second set. I never received the second set PLUS they never made a copy of my door key for their maintenance crew. So they couldn’t enter my building to do repairs, when they couldn’t enter my maintenance request was closed. On top of that I didn’t receive a gate clicker I had to email management for one, they gave me one & it wasn’t even programmed. Google this property & you will see the broken car windows, wheel thefts & a lot of the same reviews. I recommend leasing elsewhere!”

“The staff is horrible..They are always rude and would not respect you. I do not have words to say how rude they talk to you they never smile when you enter leasing office for anything. They treat you as if you are living for free.”

“Building 12 constantly floods. The draining system is terrible and didn’t get fixed for the year I lived there. Gunfire in the complex shortly before I moved out. When I first moved in, the roach problem was very apparent. When I called the office to complain and arrange treatment they had awful attitudes. The apartment above me was being leased out on air bnb for the first 6 months of living here. (one of the regulars informed me a few months in). They then moved in a neighbor who constantly sits on his porch drinking Miller Lite. Broken glass was sticking out of the ground by my parking space for 6 months! I eventually hired a professional for pest treatment but he informed me he would do what he could but it’s not really manageable because they are in the walls I was sharing with the neighbors. Disgusting experience- German roaches, tree roaches, and palmetto roaches constantly in my home. I had to put diatomaceous earth under my couches and sweep out the bodies monthly. I decided to not renew due to the roaches and the flooding. You won’t be getting your deposit back no matter how clean you leave your unit.”

“This is a slum. This is an infested roof, walls and flooring that they need to tear down. Nothing is legal. Be careful don’t sign any lease. It’s a motel too, you might be living next to an AIRBNB unit.”

“Do not move here expecting good service. I don’t know who hired these people to post positive reviews. Been here for a year and I’ll avoid bringing anything to management due to their constant attitudes and lies. Even during my lease signing they were horrible but I just figured with covid maybe stress; clearly not. If you call them for any issues...they will take a “message” when you can see them clearly sitting at their desk through the window. Never call you back. Then no matter what time you call about your inquiry you’ll be told that didn’t happen or they are “busy”. The ENTIRE management team needs to be switched or closely reviewed. I paid my rent on time like every month (28th comes out by the 2nd) but for some reason this company wanted to wait a whole week to draft it. My account still reflects rent wasn’t even attempted to be taken out. Then 5 DAYS later i get an email saying I owe $115, I call the office constantly; get ignored but leave a message with the front desk. Got to speak to Patricia and she said she would call me back after talk to the manager. Waited all day and never got a call back. Finally at 530 I call and she says Sagar was in a meeting (from 10am -530pm..??) and there’s nothing she can to help (??) . I leave and come back to a notice saying either pay an extra $115 or evict!!! You’ll get nothing but roaches, horrible service, they don’t care about you even if you’re a good tenant, garage floods, ROACHES and brown water out your faucet from time to time. Where’s the customer service?! Once you sign that lease...you won’t matter. Never have I met such a nonchalant “management” group. You can CLEARLY see Sagar and Patricia (upper management) are only out to get your money.. I was very happy to renew but seeing people constantly moving out is making me see why.”

“This place not even diserve a single star. All the good reviews you are seeing, either from the folks working in the office or from the management hired PR agencies. This place is infested with roaches. Apartment apartment break ins are very common here. Last month itself, thieves has stolen, car wheels from 3 cars. Couple of months back, there was a shooting in apartment complex. The apartment is very old and badly designed. So many people has lost their cars in basement parking area. As soon as you have some rain, the basement parking area gets flooded with rain water and if you are new to the apartment, most probably you do not know about this and you will loose your car in the flood water. Bad management and even badder manager. The current manager Sagar is not fit for the job. They have already so many vacant rooms and sometime I feel more tenant's are leaving because of this manager. Many of my friends already left and I am just waiting for my lease to get ended.”

“Very friendly staff , Monali Dhruv leasing associate she is very friendly , nice, kind and responsible , helping out in getting lease here , nice community with lot of access to entertainment places and fun .”

“The worse, got sick with mold and bad management. No security, repairs are done by illegals who are exploited. No insulation, electrical bill extremely high it's a bait and switch at the office. The don't fix anything stay away”

“Roaches makes it very difficult for us. I have asked for help, and despite even getting a private pest control, this is out of control. The building that we live in is not safe with the Marijuana smell, and dogs bark in the hallway 24 hours a day. We have seen several suspicious people and even homeless people in and out of our building with no mask and always coughing. Moreover, there have been several car burglaries recently, and it makes it very unsafe here. I terminated my contract and they charged 2 months I paid but I hired attorney to sue them due to my health and safety issue over there”

“Caution before renting here. Maybe your experience will be different. I really wanted to like these apartments. They are very nice looking in person and the model apartment they showed me was very nice as well. But, the leasing agents have been nothing but unprofessional towards me. When I first walked in, Maria didn't even greet me, but had the rudest attitude ever. Told her I had an appointment with Mona which we JUST scheduled the day before. Mona was standing across the other side of the room and didn't even acknowledge I was there. I was just repeatedly told that she was on her way to lunch, as if I didn't have a SCHEDULED appointment. That same day, I was told by Maria I could get a similar apartment for the same rate I saw online since the apartment I was interested in was already leased. Fast foward to today. I spoke to Mona yesterday about a quote for an apartment. She told me the SAME THING as Maria about getting a similar apartment. Even wrote up a quote and emailed it to me. But, as soon as I mention it, she now doesn't know what I'm talking about?! It was just yesterday you told me this??? Then she hangs up on me when I was talking. They are so rude and unprofessional and honestly have turned me off from wanting to rent from these apartments just so I don't have to deal with that in the future.”

“I've been living here for two years and it's amazing. The area is the best in Houston, you can go for a walk and enjoy the Galleria area. The apartments are very quiet, safe and my apartment very comfortable. I really recommend it.”

“I stayed here for more than 4 years only for the reason of kids place otherwise, this place is hell. Please don't look at the rent, I am sure you regret for it as I do till now. Flooding is common here and my car flooded in parking lot 2 times. No security, worst apartments and management, roaches will be part of your life and home and so many things that I can't even explain. Finally, when I was leaving the apartment , I paid all fee, lease brokerage amount, they took the deposit amount and above that, they expect same apartment as you entered first time. They charged me $500 above all and sent to credit history. I can be reached on if anyone wants to know more about this roaches apartments”

“I have lived in Yorktown Apartments since November 2017. I and my family are extremely satisfied with the property and the staffs at the leasing office. Especially, I would like to thank the manager Jesse and Assistant Manager Patricia who extremely went down to earth to look into detail and satisfy each tenants. Also, they helped me with processing on transferring my apartment to a 2 bed room unit within Yorktown”

“This complex has made made significant improvements since I first moved in. Under the New Management maintenance requests are now done on a timely manner. The Leasing office staff is very friendly and helpful. The grounds are well kept and well lit at night. The neighborhood is Awesome and walking distance to CVS, Walgreens and Galleria Mall. Located in the heart of Galleria, I do recommend Yorktown Apts.”

“Vandalism on March 21, 2019 of 3 vehicles in garage. No surveillance in garage and little lights. Tenants have asked for cameras to be installed from corporate but no response and has refused to do so. Therefore, the garage is not accessible for tenants who do not want their vehicles to be vandalized again. This garage continuously floods, there is no patrol on the property although they have HPD officers on the property..No Patrolling. Higher management liers about vandalism. HPD refused to respond when called and also the HPD officers in-house to tenants. They are disrespectful to tenants.”

“I don't like this community because it's homeless people walking around in the garage and people knocking on your door at night . The water is not clean at all . And this old ugly hag Patricia is sooo RUDE!!!! To the point you want to cuss the whanch out !!!!! She's racist !”

“I referred to this property by a friend, who is also a resident in this complex. Starting with the friendly, professional and efficient guidance of Maria (property's staff) who made the leasing process quick and easy for me, the wonderful location(2 blocks from galleria mall, restaurants, pharmacies and convenience stores, two block from I-610 and from I-69, and a quiet and friendly neighborhood), friendly and respectful neighbors, I highly recommend this property. My apartment was in great condition when I received it, and the only two times I have submitted a maintenance request, it was solved within a few hours. The grounds are perfect for pet walking and both the residents and the staff are pet friendly.”

“I have really enjoyed living here.I moved here 3 and half years ago.New manager very friendly and knowledgeable about the services...staff has been very friendly and always been courteous and respectful. The main fence guys were always pretty prompt and friendly. It's pretty close to the Galleria shopping mall. It's location makes it really easy to jump on 610, HWY 45, 59 to go places. We can meet neighbors in the weekend. We can celebrate our festivals together. Good environment. I would recommend to any one to live here...rents are affordable. No roaches since 3 years because of I keep very clean.”

She is very knowledgeable about the services..she always smile with the residents..will make sure the necessary work will always finish..as per the residents requests. Totally we like her professional way. She always greets residents very well. Totally I would like and stay long time here...I will strongly grade this community to the maximum. And I did noticed after she came to this apartment office as Manager. She is doing fantastic job.resident”
