“I absolutely LOVE my experience at Hardy Yards Apartments! From the very beginning, the move-in process was smooth, stress-free, and filled with positive energy. A BIG shoutout to Lourdes — she was amazing from start to finish! She guided me through the tour, application, and move-in with professionalism, kindness, and great communication. She even surprised me with a thoughtful gift bag full of treats for both me and my fur baby, Tatoo ??. That extra touch meant so much! Shoutout also to Bianca who welcomed me on move-in day with such a bright smile and positive energy. She made sure I had everything I needed and answered all my questions, which reassured me that I made the perfect choice choosing Hardy Yards. During my walkthrough, there was only one minor thing that needed to be fixed — and to my surprise, it was taken care of in less than 24 hours. The customer service here is truly top-notch. The apartments themselves are absolutely beautiful both inside and out. I can honestly say Hardy Yards has exceeded my expectations, and I feel very happy to call this my new home. Highly recommend Hardy Yards to anyone looking for a gorgeous home with an amazing team who truly cares about their residents!”
— 1550 BURNETT ST · HOUSTON“They’ll lure you in with a pretty main office and be very attentive to you, but once you’re a tenant: GOOD LUCK. They don’t answer their phones, they don’t return emails in a reasonable amount of time, and they’ll find any way to take more money from you. The trains run 50 feet behind the building and come every 15 minutes blowing their horn at full volume; unless you’re used to it you won’t get any sleep. Cars get broken into weekly and the cameras are unreliable. This place is a clown show.”

I'm being perfectly honest there is no reason why anyone would want to live here other than to do drugs, which my child and myself smell constantly. Their explanation is that there is nothing but to send a paper to all the residents explaining that there is a non-smoking policy here. They'll probably ball that up and smoke it. The third floor is horrid. my neighbors who I assume are evil troll college(young looking)kids sometimes have bags and such but that could be their drugs. They cuss randomly all loud and ignorant! kids tap on my door when they pass by. They also will leave their trash anywhere I've seen pizza boxes, blood, paper, hair weave. etc. even poop. They are constantly doing weird things like when I exit the door they stand and stare at me as if I don't stay here. They smoke marijuana all day, I've tried working remotely, and it's weighing heavy on me because god forbid I have a package to pick up or my baby needs to use the tub. They have kicked the floors next to my bathroom very loudly. Kicked my bedroom walls and threw heavy items at the wall. They make me uncomfortable and I can't just leave comfortably out of my apartment because I've noticed they turn down their blaring trash music when I come out like they are listening for me to make any move. I hate them !!!! The marijuana smells is just the first part. I've noticed guys doing lines in their car like playing with the nose. different people parked here with tinted windows. looking up into people's apartments. They stole a guy's tires off his rental car, probably to fund their drug habit. The men that work on the apartment next door are catcalling any time you step foot outside. They have asked me if I stay here and how much is the rent ...blah I ignore that part. Anywho if there is a chance that God will let me get out of here I'm running. I've been cursed out by a girl whose canine jumped into my baby's stroller mind you, didn't say sorry nothing I went to ask her to not let the dog do that. oh, that pissed her off she proceeded to say I wasn't watching my child and b shut the F up!!!! when I first moved in Houston experienced a light shut-off and storm. I was nine months pregnant and got cursed out because I couldn't see and my dog directly behind me barked at a girl in the dark. She called me a B and then walked off like are you serious? I had to come out at some point to get essential stuff. The maintenance has one ok guy but he barely knows how to fix anything. His craftsmanship sucks and he is nice but he taped up the washer with like duct tape after it flooded for the third time. no real fix so I'm expecting that to come apart any day now. The other maintenance cleaners and such are rude and sketchy. They have tried to run into my baby stroller in the halls. almost ran into my dog with a cleaning machine. Cuss under their breath and complain and they looked as if they were stealing some stuff when I was sitting at the top of the bldg lounge. They have reported that I left a bag of diapers in the trash can. Which I didn't but anything to single me out. it could've been a rat or mouse which I saw scurrying across the floor. we got the explanation of rat traps and everybody has rats ...which was no real help. I'm disgusted and this was a very bad decision. please don't move here”
“Where to even begin. Let me start by saying this is the first review I have ever felt so strongly compelled to write. Our experience with Hardy Yards has been incredibly frustrating and draining. We were initially very impressed with the facility, and the special move-in rate promised to us. From there, everything headed straight downhill. 1) Hope you LOVE trains! The complex is located directly next to the tracks, and they will scream at you 24 hours a day. Work remotely? Too bad. Between the trains and the fire alarm testing (which they will tell you will be at one time and then run at another), there is no place to escape for a quiet moment. They may try and convince you there are regulations around the hours that trains are able to blow their horns - don't be fooled, this is just one of the first lies we were told. 2) At one point, we started to feel alarmed by the fact we were constantly seeing new faces in our hallway. Strangely enough, always going to the same unit (located right next to ours). We asked management if they allowed tenants to rent out rooms on Airbnb, which they outright denied. They seemed almost alarmed we would bring up such a crazy notion. Funny thing about Airbnb is that we use it frequently. We easily located the unit being listed, and later even met the tenant who was renting out their property. They relayed to us they had a contract with management which allowed them to do this. My husband is a post-combat veteran, and we have service animals in our apartment. To say we felt betrayed and unsafe was an understatement. Characters of questionable background were constantly heading in and out of our hallway, using keys provided by "FrontDesk" on Airbnb. What a coincidence. 3) There was zero transparency surrounding our move-in rate. We ended up paying EVEN MORE TO LIVE HERE than in our nice apartment located several blocks over. Just do yourselves a favor and read the fine print. Because you will be fought tooth and nail over the legitimacy of your claims. I would also recommend that you save your initial lease agreement, as you will find there are a multitude of "addendums" that are added during the course of your stay. 4) There is literally one kind member in management. That is the nicest thing I can say about this apartment. However, beware - She has no real say in what happens or the outcomes of any situation. It's a waste of time trying to talk to them. At this point, we just wish we had the hours spent in the leasing office back. 5) The crime rate is out of control. There is a mechanic door to the garage that they will try to fix every couple of weeks, but that will be destroyed within 3 days max (This is not an exaggeration. We tested this theory multiple times, thinking it was funny at first. Cars are constantly being broken into and stolen.) 6) Was going to wait to type this review until we got our deposit back, but we just found out today that there is pretty much zip we are receiving anyway. We spent weeks meticulously cleaning our unit prior to our move out date (which could NOT come soon enough), and turns out we just wasted even more time and valuable resources. 7) Bugs. Everywhere. Escaping through every crack you have between walls and floors. I think the explanation we got on this one was that "it was a new complex, and this was unavoidable". Yup. New and shoddily made, that is correct. I could continue this list, but here I go again just wasting more of my own time. I couldn't fix anything for my family once we were locked in to a contract, so I hope if anything, we save some others the same headache.”
“Nice apartments very noisy and busy, you get what you pay for so don’t expect the best.. these are in a good location but break ins in car happen all the time. Don’t matter where you stay it’s gone happen. I don’t recommend if you need peace and quiet, also safety”
— 1550 BURNETT ST · HOUSTON“SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT MOVE TO THE SHINY HOOD! People, BELIEVE every review under mine that is 1-Star: Hardy Yards has earned it. It's the end of the month and prime-time to start making moving decisions, and this is the time HY will start begging for your money: don't do it, don't do it, don't do it. You will live to regret it, trust me. NONE of the amenities that your hard-earned money is going to WORK. The gym is below grade-level PE class style, the clubhouse is a bare bones space with NO resident amenities, no coffee bar, no televisions (just wires and plugs hanging out of the walls!! LOL), no access, dirt and trash everywhere and random NON RESIDENTS hanging out. The Business Center has not existed since DAY ONE. Do not get fooled by any story the garbage "staff" tells you about WiFi or contracts, the Business Center HAS NEVER BEEN OPEN OR ACCESSIBLE TO ANY RESIDENTS. The pool is a hood-joke, buyer beware and go if you DARE, trust me, when you see who is out there you will understand. The cheaply made "new apartments" carry the stench of WEED SMOKE, BAD COOKING and DOG POO through the apartments and hallways, or maybe you will have the joy of stepping in the multiple levels of DOG POO scattered throughout the stairwells daily. It would take TOO LONG to discuss the multiple incidents of vandalism and break-ins in the easily accessible parking garage that gives ANYONE FROM THE OUTSIDE access to hallways and YOUR front door! Why? Because the keyfob system only works on the first floor, not in the the garage NOR the hallways!! YAY! Wanna' see random homeless folks at the infinity pool facing downtown or wandering the dog park from the back fence?? MOVE HERE and find out! And absolutely NONE of the camera's work, I pray you take this to heart and read the reviews below, they are 100% true. And because the horrible office staff led by the clown in the front office follows the RESIDENT LINK Internal Board and stalks residents comments to see "whose talking about them" or who is "gossiping about them", I went ahead and took the screen shots needed to back up my claims. As another poster said, they are going through and literally deleting negative comments, but that's what an iPhone is for! Surprise! Check the photos, do not listen to the lies of the Hardy Yards revolving door "management team" who are only smiling until you sign the lease that you WILL regret and please do not let the end of the month cause you to make an epic mistake. Believe the reviews and don't do it!”
— 1550 BURNETT ST · HOUSTON“I have lived here since May 2019, and it has been an experience. The apartment itself is nice but the residents will surely run the complex down. I love my apartment except for the extra thin walls, and I can hear very little noise outside from the windows. It's almost as though they weren't installed properly and there may be gaps, because one of my bedrooms often smells like outside. There is always trash in the hallways, the grounds smell like dog urine, and the amenities are rarely open/available.”
— 1550 BURNETT ST · HOUSTON“Wow, I'm amazed at the rudeness of this office team. I went to view an apartment and they profiled me for sure. Didn't get to see the model nor did they attempt to get information from me. I thought this would be prime location for me but now I know the reviews are correct. Trashy outside and in! Total disappointment but I'm sure I dodged a bullet. This place is not even worthy of a single star, 0 stars are not optional clearly. Do not waste your time or money trying to move here. Filter through the fake, paid, and influenced reviews and inform yourself truly before making the worst mistake that's to come! This apartment is for low income hosusing which is good. I am glad that there will be better housing for those who need it. I also found out that they have regular apartments at market rate. I advise you wait until this place opens. I give it a one star only because I feel it's not right to continue to lease and not have set dates for tenants to move in.”
— 1550 BURNETT ST · HOUSTON“Beautiful place, nice neighborhood... I really love my home. Completely in love. Pretty close to downtown. Easy access to freeway I45. I10 and I59. The staff they are awesome very kind and helpful. I love it”
— 1550 BURNETT ST · HOUSTON“Haven't gotten my key yet but the work Dawn has done getting me a place is enough. It was about a 5 resident switch around to get me in and im highly appreciative. I can't wait for the reveling of the pool as well. Definitely will be the best pool in Houston by far.”
— 1550 BURNETT ST · HOUSTON“I love this neighborhood. Very friendly people, quiet, nearby freeway access, valet trash is awesome, security is nice, covered garage for all tenants with plenty parking, I can't wait for the sky lounge to be completed.”
— 1550 BURNETT ST · HOUSTON“Hardy Yards is a beautiful apartment community. It's in an awesome location (minutes from downtown). It's a little noisy right now, but that's to be expected from a new community under construction. I have high hopes for Hardy Yards.”
— 1550 BURNETT ST · HOUSTON“Trash around the community needs to be picked up more often however the community location is prime. New construction can be a hassle but I'm sure once completed the property will be gorgeous. The construction company was a horrible choice however I'm not the owner.”
— 1550 BURNETT ST · HOUSTON“Hardy yards it's a very perfect and new homes to consider living in if you like quiet and peace. Staff is very attentive and maintenance is a click away if office is closed. They always treat you with kindness.”
— 1550 BURNETT ST · HOUSTON“Has been a great experience, the staff is very acknowledged, they care of anything we need, maintenance attends to request with effectivity and within a really good time. The features in the apartments are high quality.”
