“I would give no stars if I could. F*** these apartments! I e been having nothing but issues with them since I moved in! My restroom smells like mildew because of the apartment downstairs from me, the roof leaks, I have 2 electrical outlets that can cause a fire if you're not careful. I've been fighting with them since I moved in to fix these problems and nobody seems to care. I had one office lady WALK AWAY FROM ME as I was still talking to her. Now I gotta get my daughter & son to take leave and come home to help me deal with these b*****es. I'm disabled and they think they can keep treating me like this. They only care when the City of Houston comes or calls.”

“I have been living at the Crossing for about 5 years, They are making good progress by remodeling the building is looking very nice . The office staff are very profecional and frenlly. I had referred a few residents. They are very happy”

“cheap apt but worst customer service,worst management,everywhere dirty and water bill is even higher than your light bill WTF,the new management is even more worst than the old one,never answer phone call,can you imagine they are so worst that u cant reach them tru phone cause they didnt paid they business phone ,dont rent here,dont make a bad decision or choice like mine and is not even a safe area”

“Worst apartment in this world. Too dirty, thieves and they refuse to come for maintenance. The manager is so rude and your mails do not come to your door, the apartment office receives all mail on your behalf. If you don't go pick up your mail immediately, you probably won't find the mail. Rogue management, they just repaired the entrance gate and it doesn't have a code, you need a card to get in , another card cost $50. Please, do not get this apartment. Run away please. Freaking dirty. You have to beg them before they come for maintenance, everything in the apartment is so old . Once my lease is up by April, am out”

“I went to visit this place on the front door the city has posted an inspection notice asking for them to fix the ceilings from leaking and a couple of other things was wrong with the place. I didn't let that stop me from going in and looking for an two bed two bathroom apartment, the apartment was not available for showing at the moment and the staff was very eager to show me the one bedroom apartment. I was nice and they allow you to make any custom adjustments you wish to make to the apartment as long as you leave the upgrades in the apartment once you move out. I could tell they needed to make a lot of upgrades in the apartments as the balcony was about to fall from termites. NO SIGN OF ROACHES IN THE APARTMENTS.”

“This apartment is a haven for thieves, robbers. It is the most ------ apartment in houston. There was a buglary where a whole block of apartments were broken into and no one saw what happened. Every week there is a buglary!! Every where u go there are thugs walking around selling drugs drinking, some of them use their apartments for prostituting and stuff. DO NOT MOVE HERE the owners have totally abandoned the apartment. DO NOT MOVE HERE! there is absolutely no security. . . if u go to the entrance gate it has always been broken and any people go in and out. The pavements are filled with potholes u can go c for ur self. DO NOT MOVE HERE! The pedestrian gates are all broken too. At night u c all kinds of people roaming around even at 1 -2 am. All good tenants who used to live here have moved out so the parking lots r empty except for the criminals who live there. different The managers are terrible. I lived here for 1.5 years and there were about 5 managers in that time period and 10 different front desk receptionist . No continuity at all. The maintenance is ----. . . they never fix stuff unless u go to the office and wait for them and drag them to ur place. After several break_ins my neighbors and I started moving out immediately! There is always noise of people fighting running around just loafing and idle doing nothing but engaging in mischief. There r stray dogs running around all over d place. THIS IS D MOST ------ APARTMENT IN HOUSTON!!!”

“I lived at these apartments for 2 years and the although the units are older, they are well kept. The rent is more affordable than at other places. I have recommended these apartments to a couple of families.”

“I advise anybody who is trying to move in these apartments to dont do it. This is not a safe enviroment for no one to stay in. People hang out all hours of day from drug addicts to strippers and killers. I've been living in these apartments since 2010 and the first two weeks living there a man was shot in the neck right in front of my stairs WTF. Contacted the office they was notified about the problem and sent out letters to all residents, stating " That they will put key locks on all entry gates and hire sercurity". Well still no locks and the security gaurd that i spoke to came for three days and said that he was afraid for his life. Then never came any more. WTF. Now im havin a problem with my up stairs neighbors. This person keeps throwing they trash on my porch not just 1 time not 2 times but 5 times. I mean can you get any lazier then that. I tryed to be a good person and talk to the neighbor but she will not answer the door. I notified the apartment manager and they said we will put violation note on the door. Well on the 5th time im fed up at this point I take the trash back up stairs. Contact managerment again and he acts dumb founded, stating " he didn't know about the pervious incidents. So he went took picture of the trash and put a note on door for that resident to contact office. One hour later this neighbor bust out my patio window. WTF. I Contact managemnet again he came over took pictures and asked,did you see who did it? Well i didn't see who did it, but i suspect the neighbor up stairs. Remind you these incident happened at 3pm. This man look me in my eye shock my hand and told me he was going to take care of my window ASAP. 5:30 came around still nothing has been done my patio window is wide open for the drug addict, strippers,and killers to just walk right in and help there selfs. I went to the office and they where closed. WTF. I called the 24hr emergency number 10 times before they finally send someone to put a piece wood that was sitting in front of there work shop the whole time. My window didn't get cover till 7pm that night. WTF. I want to get out of my lease but the manager will not let me I only have 1 month left. So to anybody who thinks cheaper is better it is not. You get what you pay for and HOOD going to always be the HOOD. So stop, pause and think bout your life before moving into this RAT WHOLE.”

“My unit is unsafe health hazard ..can't us my kitchen sink its been 3months I hv informed them a number of times ...kid room unsafe wall sockets they will shock u...house full of water every other month ...they don't care ...get out while u can”

“My earlier post stated I lived here from 2010 - 2010...that's inaccurate. I've been here from 2009 - 2011. I contacted the City of Houston just now to get information of the outcome of the issues in my apartment and was told that management stated I never called about my issues with a leaky a/c, the water damage, stuff growing on the walls or the carpet. I was told to contact the office again because they have NOT taken action since yesterday when the inspectors came to see when they planned on coming to fix my problems. I was told by the leasing agent that she specifically remembers putting in my work order herself (was off yesterday when the inspectors came). I CANNOT believe they would stoop so low to lie like that. I called them on three separate occassions within 2 weeks to fix my issues. I even tried calling on a Sunday to leave another voice message but they had voice mail turned off. If you look at the pictures, why would I not call to have those issues fixed? That's just plain ridiculous.”

“IVE HAD ISSUES WITH MY AC NOT WORKING SINCE I BEEN IN THIS HELL HOLE!!! THE MANAGER AND EMPLOYEES ARE VERY RUDE AND HAVE ATTITUDES LIKE YOU WOULDNT BELIEVE...MY AC IS OUT FOR THE 9TH TIME AND I CALLED TO SPEAK TO AN OWNER OR CORPORATION AND THE MANAGER GOT STRAIGHT HOOD WITH ME AND TOLD ME SHE CANT GIVE THAT INFORMATION..THE STAFF SUCKS AND ALSO THE MAINTANCE PLEASE DONT MOVE HERE!! “The manager is so rude to the fact that my car was towed and my wife went In to get some assistance to get it released and there starts the attitude of ...quote " I can't do anything until they send me the pictures so I can review it but then I ask who was her Boss she said god......WTF ......”

“This apartment is pretty awful. Been here for almost two years and it's just a haven for ------ hooligans. As long as you don't mess with them, they don't mess with you. I don't like the whole reserved parking space rule and had my car towed once. I was just parking it for like a second to put groceries in the house, and bam its gone! The management has changed a couple of times but for the most part they are lazy and ------. Roaches infest our apartment and there is no getting rid of them, we've tried everything. The management takes forever to respond to maintenance issues. Your car has a 50/50 chance of getting broken into.”

“I went in the office to get the number to the owners of the apartments. The manager asked for my i.d., she said that it was information that she could not give with a bad attitude. She looked at me as if i was crazy! I let her know that it was public information. Why bother with this ------,ignorant idiot! All I wanted was information, and I was treated like an criminal! I work with the public everyday, and never treated any like this! I recommend you do not make this your place of residence. Unless you want to be mistreated and disrespected.”

“I have lived here a while, and EVERY TIME I come into the office, the staff are all very professional, yet SWEET- not to mention- all the snacks and goodies that are available to me on my way in, AND on my way out. The manager, Mr. Reginald remembers my name. It is a great feeling to know that I am not just another resident-(and I dont go into the office all of the time!) I Love Great Customer Service, and people who really care. Warm handshakes, and honest smiles. Maintenance? They are quick to respond- I know all of the maintenance staff by first name- they greet me as well. They are THE GREATEST STAFF! This place is GREAT- and I will recommend to anyone!”

“I have lived here for over a year and will keep signing leases! I love my apartment, I have great neighbors. My rent is a great price and I save a lot of money being so close to everything I need! I would refer anyone I know to live here! I love that I can have my cute cuddly big dog live with me without hiding it! They worked with me and let me pay out my pet deposit.”

“I moved in around August of last year and I have nothing bad to say about this place so far. I love my apartment and I got a good deal! Everyone in the office is super friendly and they even remembered me by name :) This may sound crazy but at my last apt they only knew me by my apt # so when they remembered my name it made me feel special. I have not seen anyone just hanging around outside I guess that could be because they do have patrol which is a plus. The gates seem to always be working which also helps. After reading the previous ratings it makes it hard to believe that they are talking about the same place. Maybe they had a change in the office staff but whatever the change was seems to have been a good one. You just have to come see and judge for yourself...I think you will be pleasantly surprised.”

“This place is aweful. The new manager Melissa is as ------ and unprofessional as they come. She does not know how to talk to people or treat them with respect.They have so called security that spends more time harrassing and robbing the residents and thier guests than they do deterring crime. The apartments are overrun with roaches no matter how clean you keep your apartment. The patios and storage areas are not enclosed and are fair game for anyone to break into which has happened on multiple occassions. What good is storage if you can't store anything in it? Oh and the gang activity and drug activity is out of control. Just watch channel 2 news from this morning when they had a swat standoff and shooting. Would you want your kids living here? We are getting out even if it means breaking our lease. Run and get as far away as you can like we are.”

“These apartments are really nice. the management staff they have is very very helpful. mrs. arlene in particular. they are very clean and if you just mind your buisness you will be fine.”

“These apartments are horrible I lived here for about 8 months now.Boy! where do I begin first my electric goes out come to find out these ------ ------ around here were trying to steal electric in the cause of them doing that they knocked mine out!------ be hanging around the complex like monkeys with no jobs. Pitbulls everywhere! Noisy people in the wee hours of the night! Gangs and drugs up in here too.Breaking in cars and your apartments thats why I went and got a big dog. I wish a ----- would try it.Management is just as sorry also they don't do nothing and that Melissa that is in the front office,Whew what @#$&*!!! .Look to sum it up DON'T MOVE HERE! I feel I'm complelled to help someone else from making a big mistake,if you do move here good luck.”

“My family moved into this apartment complex last summer and have been here for about 9 months or so now. The office staff is very freindly although I do not believe they sincerely care about the residents. Though I have never seen any rats we are so infested with roaches that its like a plague. We have to have an exterminator out nearly every week and then I think he is feedign the little pests. We dont have company over and cannot even cook in this apartment. Our electronics have been ruined and no longer work (microwave, coffee pot, computer modem, dvd players, and cable box) because there are so many roaches living inside of them that they jam or whatever. The maintenance staff is awful. If you put in a work order you will be lucky if they show up and at least try to rig the items that need repair to make ou think they did something. Half the time the lock on our door quits working and our home is an open invitation for someone to come in and take whatever we have. We have a new manager yet again who is so rude that I wish we had Ladonna back even though she never got anything accomplished for me. The noise level is okay, parking is pretty good most times, and neighbors are friendly but the apartments are in almost unliveable conditions on the inside though they look fairly nice on the outside. I would not reccommend anyone moving here and I plan on staying only until my lease expires and not a day longer.”

“i have never seen rats as HUGE as the ones in this DUMP. the first time i saw one these fat rats i was walking in the front of the apts. and it was running into a unit!!! As if that wasnt enough, i saw a crackhead being chased by 1!!! No joke man. I dont stay in these apts. but my Godsister and a lot of my partners stay over there. i'm glad she's moving b/c that ---- is NASTY!!!!!!!!!!!! RATs comming out of units and floating in the pool??? i cant stand rodents man... Oh yeah the porches are VERY UNSAFE b/c yesterday 1 of them fell through and the lady standing on the pourch was 4 months expecting...”

“The manager here at ashton place took over the property in September 2006. and wow what a diffrence that made. she has kicked out the bad and moved in the good. way to go ladonna.”
