“WORST complex ever. Do not move here. From the day I moved in until the day I moved out this experience was a nightmare. The units are completely outdated. They are not thoroughly clean or made ready. The first unit I was placed in had HORRIBLE molding all throughout the vents and ac unit which caused mold throughout the apartment. It took management 6 months to do a cleaning and treatment, and when they did, it was half-a**ed. I requested an immediate unit transfer and they transferred me to a roach infested unit. Felix the maintenance lead told me patsy and her staff KNEW of the infestation and still moved me in despite his warnings. I had to seek legal advice just to be freed from this nightmare of a lease, and now after they are saying my $300 deposit will not be returned to me because previous staff LOST documents even though on my signed lease agreement it is reflected. They are money hungry and incompetent! My car was towed wrongly. I had people stealing off my patio, littering and management did nothing. Among a plethora of other issues i witnessed here. Extremely unprofessional. Extremely messy and trashy complex. This whole thing is a scam, joke, and sorry excuse for housing. It’s honestly sad because this is what a lot of people can afford in today’s economy and there is no pride or professionalism shown by management.”
— 1110 EL CAMINO VILLAGE DR · HOUSTON“We have been without cold water for 3 days…. last month the hot water... what an outrage... and the bad thing is that at the end of the month the water costs increase... very bad these new owners or managers... they have no experience at all”

— 1110 EL CAMINO VILLAGE DR · HOUSTON“$1528 for 2 bed 1 bath 914 square foot apartment. $1354 rent, $70 for two parking spots (because it is extra for covered parking but 90% is covered), $104 for water, trash, pest control and a lot on administrative fees. 3 car break-ins in 7 yrs with $1500 in properties and repair costs. Put in a maintenance order…expect to have to go ask them above it for weeks or month until somebody finally makes it to fix issues. Have some repairs years old I just gave up on. Security gate broken 80% of the time. Lots of vandalization. They fix those fast so that the exterior looks nice. I see several previous reviews are fake and created by management to bump score.”
— 1110 EL CAMINO VILLAGE DR · HOUSTON“Mary is super allsome she help me in every way anytime I need anything she always there to give me assistance with not having the best record she the best very courance very nice anytime you need maintenance they are there”
— 1110 EL CAMINO VILLAGE DR · HOUSTON“I stayed at the apartments for a year from July 01, 2019, till July 31, 2020. Today is 09Sep2020 and trying to contact the Manager and the Assistant Manager on the phone. From last week I am trying to call them and leave the message, as usual, I have been told that they will call me back. This was the second management that changed in front of me staying there and believe me no one bothered to send a message or a letter that the management has changed. Whereas if one doesn't pay on rent on the 1st of the month, the letter was there. Sorry to say than to get your deposit details one has to call them again and again.”
— 1110 EL CAMINO VILLAGE DR · HOUSTON“this is the worst management I have ever dealt with, first they filed all my paperwork in another persons name and could not find it then no smoke detector since the move in inspection per the lease agreement section 23A they are responsible for my safety by providing this small device yet refuse to do so went 7 week with no bedroom lights was told it was not an emergency? room has a closet at the back with no light in it and none in the room but ceiling fan yet its not a requirement? odd dishwasher was backing up stinks and will not drain sir that is not our problem it turns on yes but does not drain. Unable to get mailo becaus eno one in office knows how to help with locker parcel service? unable to get into residents portal they email the wrong email after telling them several time to update my email in writing in correspondence and in person? simple written verbal or electronic messages, simple administrative procedures not being done ask about late fees two week before rent was due I will be a little late is that ok NO they will not work with you just charge you no humanness, I have never been late in fact my rent has always been on time yet in a PANDEMIC when you ask for mercy and get sentenced to death Would never recommend living in this place. SAD because I like my neighbor and my apartment just not worth the constant hassel. I asked for form to get on file I was moving out they said we cannot give that to you its too early, I simply replied I will fill it out you can just put into my file so intss there on time no worries, we cannot do that I asked why is there a place in writing SAYING YOU CANNOT GIVE ME THAT FORM? just a huge hassle living her new software system to pay rent they do this new system implementation a week before rent not very smart management! asking for trouble oh already is ...run from this move in special nightmare WORST EVER PERIOD DO NOT MOVE HERE I WOULD RATHER STAY IN MY CAR THEN DEAL WITH THIS MANAGEMENT oh but if you die your kids are responsible for the remainder of your rent, there is no way to get out your lease, job change, location change, even death, WOW now that's just not human woert place ever RUN HAVE PHOTOS OF move in inspection sheet no smoke detector and today still not one several maintenance request but let me assure you if your late they will charge your --- off oh and charges me Renters insurance the entire time I have lived her yet I had my own insurance and showed that I found this hidden cost 10 month into the lease they never returned my money POOL was off limits all summer before the pandemic it was nasty. Parking is another nightmare you pay rent but have to park two blocks cannot even park near you apartment really poor management of assets. Bath tub backs up after about tqo min so shower fast. Bathroom sink no stopper be careful everything seem to find its way into the sink dryer vent had no baffle on it when we moved in state required outside holes must be blocked. Handicapped parking, car parking space blocks wheel chair ramp making my stay difficult if not impossible.”
“DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE! Maintenance doesn't care about issues inside of you apartment. Office says theyll send someone out but lie and never do. Charge you to park in reserved spots monthly so all the visitor spots are filled because nobody wants to pay every month to park under covered parking. Office staff is very rude! I highly suggest saving your time and finding elsewhere to live!!!”
— 1110 EL CAMINO VILLAGE DR · HOUSTON“Oh boy where do I start lived here two years, put in a written 60 day notice to vacate, decided to look at a 1 bedroom here (without even looking at it decided the price was right and wanted it) was sent a signed contract June 30th after I paid my $499 move in to 1 bedroom unit, they refused to give me keys to the 1 bedroom unit and is saying i still owe a balance for July (i stayed in same apartment because i had planned on moving to their 1 bedroom) unbenounced to me, they voted that contract!!! Not within 24 hours like the law states but 14 days later I would not move my pet ants to this apartment complex there are several other things like the jacuzzi they advertise, it's been moldy, full of slime and a mosquito haven!!! I would NOT RECOMMEND TO EVEN CONSIDER LIVING HERE!!!! Oh, the photo I uploaded is after 2 weeks of emails to the office saying there is a leak it wasn't just any regular leak, it literally was raining in the spare bathroom the drip pan or something over flowed due to the leak and came crashing down on my girlfriend as she was trying to use the restroom I'm not sure if it is toilet water, shower water or whatever it was she got up and tried to run, fell and seriously cut up her face and damaged her arm. Why wouldn't these people just want us out of here? Because the feeling is mutual, I want out probably as bad as they want me out my girlfriend does intend on suing them for the slip and fall because of their negligence in fixing the issue the FIRST TIME I called for it to be fixed. Meantime they are holding me back from getting another apartment saying I owe a balance.”
— 1110 EL CAMINO VILLAGE DR · HOUSTON“This apartment complex is horrible. I don't know how they have 2 stars here. I suggest you stop by and ask a couple of people yourself. They take months to fix any issues that's going on. I had fumes from another apartment coming through my vents...”
— 1110 EL CAMINO VILLAGE DR · HOUSTON“There is a desperate need to improve service after people move in. These are critical needs and my experience. I've lived here since 2016. The location is the only reason why I choose to live here. Need 1: Enforce not parking in paid carport spaces. Why collect $30/mo. for a reserved carport space, but an illegally-parked car in my space cannot be towed? That's not right. A member of leasing office staff said, "we are not towing this month." Please note this is three months after having residents come in and complete new parking space paperwork and provide a copy of insurance so you could create a new spreadsheet of who's in each space. A leasing agent told me the property did not have a record of that - hence, it was being collected. Moreover, we have been paying for reserved spaces for two years and the price increased from $25 to $30/mo. months ago. Need 2. Leasing office, do what you say you are going to do or communicate if you are not able to do so. My roommates and I have been waiting on leases to sign in our inboxes since our initial reply to your 60-day notice three weeks ago. We've gotten four "I'm sending it to you today" emails from office staff. As of tonight, no lease in my inbox. 3. Communicate professionally, both in writing and in face-to-face interactions. Use the spell- and grammar check in Word before submitting emails and documents property-wide. Check your face for the rolling of eyes and exasperated sigh when talking to residents. This week, a leasing agent blocked my roommate's parking space with the golf cart as roommate came home. Upon reaching out to leasing agent, the agent began with justifying the action to my roommate, then told her, "I'm with the office -- I can park wherever I want." (Yes, she did.) There are other examples of this type of communication available upon request. I believe we can always do and be better. I work with a company that assists multi-family management with these types of customer service after the sale issues. I would be happy to refer.”
— 1110 EL CAMINO VILLAGE DR · HOUSTON“DO NOT LIVE AT THESE APARTMENTS. THEY HAVE A HORRENDOUS MOLD PROBLEM. IT WILL AFFECT YOUR HEALTH. I moved into my apartment in May. I inexplicably got violently ill every single day, my asthma was so bad I'd wake up in the night gasping, and thought several times I might have had bronchitis or the flu. Finally I considered that the speckled mold all over each and every air vent might have been the culprit for my sickness. I tested the mold and it was in fact toxic, and two different kinds. At first, maintenance painted over it. I had to call and email over and over before they began to take it seriously. My air filter was caked in thick, dark grey dust. Their "designated mold tester" finally came a week after I'd been told he already had came. They admitted it was indeed toxic. When I asked for my rent to be pro-rated since I was physically unable to live at my apartment for a month, I was given the deal of being able to pay the remaining fees and break my lease cleanly-- instead of pay to vacate the building. I paid the fees, moved out, and was promised an email detailing the clean break of the lease for future leasing agents to acknowledge. I never got this email. The woman who we spoke to, Rosie, "suddenly" forgot the entire ordeal despite all my calling and emailing. Then demanded more money from us. Again, called and called for days on end. No response. No email. My health finally began to go back to normal after TWO MONTHS of being out of the apartment. My next door neighbor also said her health and the health of her child were being negatively impacted since they moved in as well. We've heard many other tenants threaten to return with lawyers due to the abhorred and unprofessional management. DO NOT move in here. Save your money and spare your health.”
— 1110 EL CAMINO VILLAGE DR · HOUSTON“I absolutely love living here the leasing staff is awesome, the maintenance guys are really good they fixed my ac the same day it went out Thank you skylar pointe ,I will be renewing my lease for another year i haven't had any issues here. Skylar Pointe is the place to be”
— 1110 EL CAMINO VILLAGE DR · HOUSTON“I don't even really know why I moved into these apartments..I guess because of the location. There are actually cheaper apartments that are MUCH better. The management when we moved in wasn't HORRIBLE but they weren't super organized either. Any time you call no one seems to know what you are talking and forget about trying to pick up packages. They don't log them properly until you stand there and actually tell them you are going to wait until they find it. Trash bins: ALWAYS overflowing and looks horrible, roaches are bad..they charge for pest control but never come out to do it when you "schedule" it. Maintenance is horrible..they never do what they say and they only half a** their job. Parking sucks..even if you pay for parking. This complex is all about the money and not about the residents. They definitely don't put the money back into the community. I HATE HATE living here. I would NOT recommend living here ever. They offer a referral fee and I tell my friends do not move here. I really could be a lot ruder on this review but I am actually being nice. I am so ready for my lease to be up this summer.”
— 1110 EL CAMINO VILLAGE DR · HOUSTON“Decided to put my review back up since it mysteriously disappeared. Place is horrible would never recommend. Shady people lingering outside doors. Horrible parking spaces. Rude staff. Bugs coming from cracks in the wall. I had to threaten legal action for them top have someone clean the mold out the vents. Came home to my bathroom vent leaking water numerous times. Maintenance doesn't always leave notice they been in your house. I requested to be notified if they come and had to threaten management that I will have their maintenance guy arrested of he shows up without notice. Best off all after I moved it they tried to charge me $700 for stains on carpet. I told them I want an invoice along with the company they hired explaining how they came up with that number along with PROOF there's stains. Got called back the next day and told my bill on only $72. Yea that's what I thought they meant.”
— 1110 EL CAMINO VILLAGE DR · HOUSTON“I have been living here 3.5 years. When we first moved here, after 6 months I wrote on several sites how great these apartments were. Now I have to recant those positive reviews due to the management company changing hands. ISSUES 1)The gates are broken, and left open, approximately 10 days a month. 2)Repairs are just no longer addressed...at all. I have put in 4 repair tickets, over the last 10 months and all of them are still unaddressed. Each time I go in for a new issue I mention the ones that were not addressed...NOTHING is ever done. 3)Recently put in a ticket for water leak dripping from ceiling...48 hours later, dripping continues, NO REPAIR. 4) Outside trash bins are always overflowing. Dozens of trash bags on ground regularly because they are full. When it rains the trash is just washed out into parkinlot. 5) Prepared to have spam texts from management about everything...and no, there is no way to get removed from the text distribution. There is much more but you get the idea.”
— 1110 EL CAMINO VILLAGE DR · HOUSTON“I've been very pleased with my lease here at Skylar Pointe The leasing staff is incredibly nice and attentive - they're dog lovers and my dog drags me to the leasing office everyday to see them. The complex is very Clean. The club room is exceptional. Apartment units are fairly sized and up kept and the tenants are usually family oriented or O&G. Thank you Yuri, Maria, Cristie and Susan! The maintenance staff is on point, and very friendly. Overall, best apartment experience I've had.”
— 1110 EL CAMINO VILLAGE DR · HOUSTON“I have lived here, at "Skylar Pointe Apartment Homes," for 20-years; and, do not care to, or want to, move to any other apartment community. The Property Manager, the Leasing Representatives, and the Maintenance Staff are all very competent, helpful, and understanding. The Property is always kept up, and maintained, most satisfactorily. I highly recommend this Property.”
— 1110 EL CAMINO VILLAGE DR · HOUSTON“I have lived at Skylar Pointe for going on 2 years. I have no issues with getting maintenance request completed. I love my apartment manager Kayce, she is always so helpful, understanding and considerate. The leasing staff is very personable and professional. I highly recommend Skylar Pointe Apartments.”
— 1110 EL CAMINO VILLAGE DR · HOUSTON“My move in was very simple, the leasing staff has everything emailed to me before I arrived with my moving truck. They even has a gift inside the apartment. I really like living here and love the new orange color. Maintenance is quick to respond to work orders. Ramon even came out in the middle of the night when I had a leak over the shower. I was late on my rent once after Harvey Kayce was willing to work with me on paying my rent late. I was very thankful for the compassion she had.”
— 1110 EL CAMINO VILLAGE DR · HOUSTON“Really enjoyed my visit, and I am extremely interested in living at this community. Grounds were beautiful and location was perfect to my new job. A friend lived here and I used to visit, and just always loved the property.”
— 1110 EL CAMINO VILLAGE DR · HOUSTON“I lived at Skylar Pointe for 3 years and would still be there if my job didn't transfer. The office staff is wonderful and very helpful. The maintenance staff went above and beyond to take care of our family. If you are looking for a very family friendly apartment community in a great school zone. I highly recommend Skylar!! Thank for 3 great years!! Going to miss Texas.”
— 1110 EL CAMINO VILLAGE DR · HOUSTON“The office staff should be a negative rating. Watch out they might tow your vehicle or make up ways to make you pay for random things. This is a terrible place to live unless you like roaches for pets. Major key....Stay away”
— 1110 EL CAMINO VILLAGE DR · HOUSTON“Pros Maintenance is okay Parking is getting better Apartments are being remodeled Cons Lying staff- they will tell you anything to get you out their face. Bed Bugs,Roaches and Rodent issues Drug dealers out at night, no security The manager is ruthless and despicable”
