Everything is literally at your doorstep. I hope to make this my home.”
— 1711 CAROLINE ST · Houston“Very clean, great leasing staff to work with, pet friendly and easy application process. So far I have no complaints other than the elevators are really slow but I blame that on the amount of Airbnb guests that come and do at the same time.”
— 1711 CAROLINE ST · Houston“Hello I stay here for 2 years. I written review as my assignment of 1711. Elevator work only 20% of the time currently they are not working with key fob. Your car could be stole or tow from the property they don't have any problems allowing residents cars get towed or stolen but when it comes to security both garage doors have been broken over a month allow anyone to enter the property with no security on watch. This is terrible, because I had 2 cars stolen and 1 car tow for no reason. Pool is not maintained there many times I came out to the pool and the water is green! Try to use the grills and they don't work because property don't take care of the grills by simply replacing propane tanks. Game room can't use pool stick are broken, homeless people walking the hallway. You have been warned ?? If you think management care, only thing they care about is your money. As far as they responsibility they have none. They will always tell you it's being work on. Come back month later same answer. Call corporate to complain they don't answer either. Beware if you complain about issue like me they will black ball you and block your unit from renewing and tell you 90 days out that your unit is already taken. This property is a joke. I highly recommend looking at the Camden property and other property communities because what they are asking price is $1700 per month you can stay at the travis high-rise with security.”
“I was a co-signer and a guarantor for the apartment leased by my brother and his family. After leasing the apartment for less than 6 months they had to leave unexpectedly abroad due to family emergency. There were no attempts to understand the situation from the leasing office, we had to pay the penalty in the amount of 2 months rent plus additional 2 months for 60 days notice which we did. I live in a different state so had to fly to Houston several times to make sure the apartment is in good standing before surrendering it. I painted the walls as was instructed by the manager, we hired cleaning services so the apartment was in excellent condition before moving out. Joshua Allen, the leasing office manager, had an inspection done with me of the apartment and told everything looked good and we can expect our deposit back within 30-60 days. Of course this was not in writing. I recorded the video of the apartment that same day, showing apartment in great condition, clean floors, carpets, painted walls and working sinks and toilets. No one was in the apartment after. Last week we received an email stating we owe $1300 plus for some repairs of damages to floors, carpet, sink and toilet. Joshua Allen checked everything in front of me and did not mention anything needed to be repaired, I flew in from a different state specifically for the purpose of that inspection! And now we are told to pay yet another fee, in addition to the huge amount we’ve already payed just to close that lease. I have to mention there were other small charges for the “late payment” of $50 or so when we were told to expect an email with the total amount due which was sent only on the 8th or 9th of the month, for which we somehow were held responsible again. We had nothing but terrible experience with this company. There are many similar reviews here describing exactly the same situation, so you can see the pattern. I ADVISE AGAINST LIVING HERE - SAVE YOUR TIME, MONEY AND PEACE OF MIND. The staff is unprofessional and is often rude, particularly Joshua Allen. I haven’t observed any attempts to work with the client to try to resolve the problem - something one would expect from the management of a reputable company. They just simply keep charging you for whatever they want and there is no way you can prove them wrong. I’ve leased many apartments in the past, but never dealt with anything like that before.”
— 1711 CAROLINE ST · Houston“From asking questions, submitting my application the process with seamless I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. Sunell and latasha were amazing to work with. I so happy to be a member of this community”
— 1711 CAROLINE ST · Houston“I love to leave here, only thing is hard is to have the keyfob to acces to the garage and main building entrance, I will love to have a personal code to press on the pin path when I don't have my keyfob on me.”
— 1711 CAROLINE ST · Houston“From start to finish smooth process. I moved here from Florida and I received top tier customer service. The building is taking good care of and the staff is amazing. When I arrived everything was ready to go.”
— 1711 CAROLINE ST · Houston“Very cramped and tiny apartments the one bedroom has no doors living room is small rooms aren't that clean no privacy on balcony apartment floor plan is horrible wish I didn't rent here but will make the best”
— 1711 CAROLINE ST · Houston“they worked wonders to get me in and was super kind. i moved in without looking at the apartment but they were able to take pictures and make the process so easy. once i moved in they called and checked on me which was great!”
— 1711 CAROLINE ST · Houston“Decent place to live, lots of AirBnBs rentals and transient people make the building less clean, loud, and unsafe. There are also homeless people entering the building at night and staying in the first floor restrooms.”
— 1711 CAROLINE ST · Houston“The area is Quiet, my apartment is cozy, clean, and comfortable. The amenities are top notch and I appreciate the property staff. I am glad I chose this location to be my residence, everything about it is amazing!”
— 1711 CAROLINE ST · Houston“The apartment units are nice, but the building needs some renovating. The biggest issue with the apartment is the excessive amount of Airbnb guests they allow in the building, which has created noise issues, waste issues, and safety issues. They do not offer sufficient printing or computers for apartment renters. Many apartments offer great business centers, but 1711 Caroline is lacking in that department. Lastly, the noise from Glyder Worldz is a big disturbance. Outside of that, the apartment and the staff are nice.”
— 1711 CAROLINE ST · Houston“Horrible due to the constant traffic of strangers every weekend other than that it's ok the office staff is never available via phone maintenance was prompt trash pickup service has been mediocre could be better”
— 1711 CAROLINE ST · Houston“This is the worst place I have ever lived. It is mostly Airbnbs so it is always loud, vomit and trash everywhere. It is not safe. The doors to the outside don't lock. The lobby elevator is always broken. It was down for 3 months and it currently out again. Every weekend the gate to the parking garage is broken so people park here from the club down the street or to go to Astros games. I have seen men urinating in the parking garage as if it was a bathroom, homeless people are always in the building. The garbage was not picked up for 2 months and "management" locked the trash rooms so it piled up in the hallways for weeks. The office staff is incredibly rude, any issues you bring to them they roll their eyes - especially Nicole. Work orders get marked completed when they don't actually complete the work. Recently some people sprayed fire extinguishers in the hallways in the middle of the night and broke into apartments when everyone evacuated. People had their items stolen and broken - management couldn't be bothered to show up or even send an email out to the community after the fact. DO NOT LIVE HERE!”
— 1711 CAROLINE ST · Houston“Was great when I moved in. Apparently they left their management company and added air b&bs and now there's trash everywhere and people steal things from the gym. Building itself is in disrepair. Half the treadmills haven't worked in a year. They stopped supplying wipes in the gym. People leave trash everywhere.”
— 1711 CAROLINE ST · Houston“The manager isn't the friendliest and something in the building is always breaking (elevators). I wouldn't have moved in if the current managers were in place. It's not about the resident but making money!”
— 1711 CAROLINE ST · Houston“Love the experience. Everyone was so hospitable and knowledgeable about the process. I think we will for sure tell anyone we know how our experience was and refer you guys. I like the view and the balcony”
— 1711 CAROLINE ST · Houston“It's been good so far everything was fast picked up my keys moved in my unit was clean the patio view is very nice staff at the leasing office are nice and professional would recommend to anyone looking to move and plan on enjoying my experience here at 1711 Caroline”
— 1711 CAROLINE ST · Houston“The beginning of my lease here at 1711 was nice, clean, and responsive. The only problem is that they do not tell you that they rent out units to Airbnb. So you constantly have loud strangers having party, making tons of noise, using all the amenities or dirtying the complex. In the beginning (2019), it wasnt as bad but start of 2022 the amount of units used for Airbnb has increased. Before renewing my lease for 2022 I was told they were removing Airbnb from the complex only to find out that they increased instead.”
— 1711 CAROLINE ST · Houston“Requiring that much text is not a good idea for your website I'll repeat this again so that we can have 200 characters you need to adjust your website otherwise people look simply and abandon the survey one”
— 1711 CAROLINE ST · Houston“Stairwells are not kept clean. The courtesy officer never responds. For after hours, no emergency contact available for security and maintenance team. The exit door locks are often broken. The leasing office phone is rarely answered.”
— 1711 CAROLINE ST · Houston“There is a lot of trash left in the stairways and basement halls. Needs to be power washed because of the dirt and smell. Stairway 4 door has been broken to the outside for days. Not save for the residents. Half of the treadmills are broke and no TV’s work on anything in the fitness center. Elevator one is the slowest I have been on. Staff is very nice, pool area is great and fitness area is clean.”
— 1711 CAROLINE ST · Houston“New management took over in September and the place has gone downhill fast. The doors are never secured and there is no after hours number you can call for anything!! People throw loud parties, and the only thing you can do is complain in the morning after you've been kept up all night. Its not safe, its not quite, and half the time office staff isn't even in the office during office hours. Plus, if you are lucky enough to catch the office staff to complain, nothing is ever done about it. DONT DO IT. go to block 334 or somewhere else that all has after hours people around to handle noise complaints and security.”
— 1711 CAROLINE ST · Houston“Doors arent secured all the time. Specifically the door across from the leasing office. And its been like that for months. The elevators are constantly out of order The trash from other residents is disgusting, in the hallways and in the stairwells. Same thing for the recycling room, specifically on the 5th floor.”
— 1711 CAROLINE ST · Houston“This was always my dream place to live. I couldn't believe it when I was approved and stayed my first night. Since then it has aonky amazed me with the services and community. When covid hit and trouble came my way they were more then grateful to help.”
