“I’ve lived here for 8 months, and I deeply regret my decision. If you are looking into these apartments, I want to give an honest overview of what I experienced. The first week I moved in the ac went out, my apartment reached temperatures of 94 degrees, they fixed it after two days and a month later it went out again. They have to turn on the heat for the whole complex, and according to management that takes 24 hours. So with the unpredictable weather in Texas, whenever there is a cold front the apartment is freezing. Management gave tiny heaters that broke after a month. They have literally been stealing money from residents by charging the insurance rate to residents even if they have a different renters insurance. I asked them to remove it the first month I noticed, and they told me they would get it done right away. It’s been four months and they keep charging it every month. They have been extremely dismissive and have still not fixed the problem. This place needs to be fumigated. They make you pay for it, but they haven’t done it. There are so many bugs, it’s disgusting and frustrating. You clean and clean, but they get in through the holes in the walls and through the pipes. I have no idea how much money I have spent on roach traps at this point. I have a cat and he even caught a mouse once. At night you can literally hear the mice in the walls. I have submitted so many service requests that get “completed” only for them to do nothing. The entire time I have lived here one of my burners hasn’t worked and neither has the ice maker in the fridge. The electricity is completely shut off in the living room, entrance way, and staircase OUTSIDE my apartment if the light switch in my bedroom is turned off. I literally have to always leave it on, if not the outlets or any of the lights in those other parts of the apartment don’t work. I called multiple times for them to come get it looked at, and they said that’s just the way it is. One of the outlets in the living room doesn’t work no matter what you do. As a young female living alone safety is big concern. I looked for a gated community. The gate would be tampered with and management wouldn’t do anything to fix it. If safety is a concern for you, just be aware of this and that there are no cameras in the complex or any other forms of security. The entire apartment complex is falling apart. The floor boards are separating. The roof leaks when it rains. The laundry rooms are always filthy. The machines never work. The grounds are very neglected. There are pot holes all over grounds. “You get what you pay for” shouldn’t mean living in such awful conditions. I have no idea how these apartments are allowed to function, and how they were able to pass inspections.”

“After scanning over some of the comments angry tennants made I was baffled.I have been here 15 months. I have NEVER had roaches or any other bugs EVER.Just a tip if you clean and keep down clutter there will not be bugs.Also the water here is cleaner than the water anywhere else.It does NOT flood here.You can leave your door unlocked and nobody will bother you. It is a community that is as perfect as any I ever imagined. The pool is kepy clean ALWAYS.Since the virus started.The been power washed with bleach.I have NEVER had problems with my air conditioner. In the summer I am not hot and in the winter I am not cold Maintainence KEEPS the grounds clean ALWAYS..management is TOP of the line.Patricia walks around smiling checking to make sure we are safe since the virus started. The virus cancelled out my job giving rides.I used to let 20 to30 people ride in my Uber a day. I am 2 months behind on rent not once have the management been insensitive as they understand I am seeking new employment and will catch up as fast as I can.I have never lived anywhere I love as much as here.If you want to live a good clean life Kayra has you covered.Be blessed Kayra in Jesus Mighty name..”

“Patty and the rest of the staff is nice and friendly. I am so glad I found this place. I've never had an experience like this before where the staff makes you feel welcomed and comfortable. I would recommend it to anyone.”

“I have been a resident here for 5 months. I have never lived anywhere that I loved more. This place is the home I have never had. I believe that God brought me here to heal my heart...it worked. I wake up and watch the bird play...I have never experienced a more peaceful place on the face of this earth than Barcellona apartment homes. It FEELS safe here..It is safe here. It is a small community. Everyone minds their business. I witnessed a resident that moved out leave all their belongings out including TVs ect.. nobody even touched a book..People are respectful.. The maintenance is top of the line..Everyday Walter is coming up with new ways to improve(if that is possible).It stormed all week. Yet when I got up Sat. morning to take a swim our pool was sparkling clean. Walter and Anthony take pride in keeping the pool clean at all time.The landscaping is immaculate.Walter is the most consistent, creative, thoughtful grounds keeper I have ever seen. He keeps an eye on everything. He makes sure our air is clean,our water is clean, and the grounds are clean. He keeps his staff organized. He is extremely professional.It would not surprise me if he were promoted to an executive position. Honestly, I pray they just give him a huge raise and more benefits because having him here I feel as if someone is always keeping our home secure. It does not flood. The water is the cleanest in Houston. I am so grateful for this perfect place to live. I would recommend this management to anyone. Karya is first class.”

“***POSSIBLE FUTURE RESIDENTS SHOULD LOOK ELSEWHERE*** I have lived less than a month and my ---- list with this place is as follows, -apartment was not ready on the agreed upon move in date, - Ac did not go below 76 and after multiple work orders and nearly a week later i was given a window unit. 3 days after that the ac was replaced only to start leaking which has still gone untouched AND ALSO STILL DOESNT GO BELOW 76 -4 different front desk workers and 2 office managers have cycled through and each has been as ill equipped and incompetent as the last - initial parking space given was then given to someone else after a change in employees and my new assigned parking space is across the entire parking lot and surprise surprise, also taken. -roaches are a common sight -fresh coats of paint and minimal expense renovations are used to cover major issues and poor craftsmanship -either due to the amount of complaints or the lack of experience, every issue I've brought up has been dealt with by putting me off with promises and apologies and then doing less than satisfactory work to deal with it then new faces in a week who get to take over the dumpster fire that is this complex.”

“I love the convenience of the clean laundry.The management is caring considerate.They even treated us to the rodio.My home is a home.If something needs fixed they fix it immediately.Everyday new improvements are being made.I love this place and love every single thing about it.”

“By far, this complex was the worst experience that I have ever experienced as far my domicile. Barcelona Apartment complex is the worst that I have ever lived at in my entire life. Definitely, there is false advertisement, over priced, landscape is horrible, building looks like a project, roaches are pathetic, management is a joke- never answer the phone -- very unprofessional and lack of consideration, A/C does not work , neighbors are extremely loud (no matter what time of the day or night), toilets gets stopped up, dumpsters over flow with trash etc. If anyone is interested in moving to these apartments, It will be the worst mistake a person can make... It'll be a NIGHTMARE.”

“when i first move in i thought , it was a great community but leaving there for a whole year it was very desappointing , staff are unprofessional , very ineffective staff, janitors doesn,t even know how to properly fix stuff , rodents cockroaches , laundry room not functionning properly , if you wanna wash your clothes some machines takes your quarters without return it , drying machine same issue , the property manager doesn,t seem to care lock himself at the office pretending he is not there , or he act like he knows what he is doing , they randomly bill , or increase your utulity bill , pipe are so old to a point water overflown on bathroom sink . if you ask to be repaired they take all they time or ignore you period , the pool are so dirty to a point the city close it for a year now”

“One star is generous. No air-conditioning for days on end, ineffective staff, janitors who do not know how to make correct repairs. No water numerous times. Rodents and cockroaches. Laundry room not functioning for months. Raw sewage backing up into the laundry room and some apartments. My neighbor had human feces flooding her apartment and even in her dishwasher! Management let it sit there for weeks. When it rains the complex floods. in such bad shape that six units were completely flooded out and people lost everything. They repaired the roofs yet they still leak every time it rains. If you ask for items to be repaired, sometimes they are, while other times they are ignored.”
