“Well I ask for certain things to be fixed, but they try and say because of my schedule they can never access my unit. And Also they Have gone up on my rent when it was 799.00 and because they added new light fixtures and new appliances they went to 815.00 and than I renewed my leaae and only after a year it waa raised to 820.00 but the staff is cool and the manager is really helpful and nice. My apartment does not have rats or roaches. But I do have an ongoing mold issue. But for the most part its quiet and convenient. Allowing me to get to work and school. I would suggest these apartments to everyone..only because they are nice and all apartments have flaws. Im renewing lease and staying.”

“Bankside Village is the worst there is. It used to be nice, years ago but now it's simply horrible. Maintenance does not know how to fix anything, not even the simplest thing of screwing a light bulb. The manager has no training, I mean she is so unprofessional and heartless. I guess they all got there training from the back of a cereal box. I tell her something such as a Ac needs fixing and she doesn't care, 1 week later my ac still needs fixing. I try to stay out of the office unless I'm paying my rent. I paid my rent July 1, and I see it's changes in the office. Both the other ladies are gone that have been there for years, which both were nice and at least tried to help if they could. But now to have to only deal with the manager, oh no it's time to go! I've spoken to many residents throughout the complex and they're all talking about the same thing.....getting the hell out of this dump. Poor maintenance, poor management, cars being broken into, trash everywhere, stray cats, no parking available after work. It's just ridiculous here. If I could give 0 stars I would. This place doesn't even deserve 1 star.”

“I moved in August and I couldn't be more happier. The staff are very helpful, friendly , professional and on their A-Game. . I don't know why people leave negative comments.. I've been trying to move to these apartments for awhile now but never had any apartments available. I love how the apartment's are secluded in the middle of a subdivision, early childhood school is right next to us.. Elementary and middle schools aren't that far from us.. This community is very friendly and welcoming. The property is always nice and clean.. security during the night.. And trust me.. He really takes his job seriously.. Making sure our community is safe. Although, not all apartments are perfect ours do have minor issues but not major ones. The only negative review I could possibly give them is their big pot hole driving out of the apartments and a few down the parking lot.. other then that, these apartments are pretty awesome. I was fortunate to get a newly renovated apartment with all new appliances!”

“These apartments are horrible! They never ever want to fix anything and if they do its RIGGED! My carpet was OLD when I moved in. I scheduled for a shampoo after RESIGNING MY LEASE AND THEM RAISING MY RENT and they never came! They didn't come because the maintenance men throw buckets of water on the floor WITH NO SOAP AT ALL then they vacuum it up. The floors are wet for 2-3 days after you throw that much water down!! I told them not to make my carpet worse than what it is by doing that and OF COURSE they never came! If you want something fixed around here you have to do it yourself. But god forbid your just a few dollars short on your rent/water, THEY'LL HOUND YOU AND THREATEN TO KICK YOU OUT! All about money and not and not the tenants whatsoever. She many car break ins and NO SECURITY! I came outside to my car on BRICKS! Still NO SECURITY! I can't wait to move! GOODBYE BANKSIDE!”

“These apartments are horrible. They go up on your rent every time you resign but everything is old as hell. They repainted the outside of the apartments, so I guessed that's why they're going up. THEY NEED TO RENOVATE! The appliances are old, the a/c units are old, the carpet is filthy. They only wanna shampoo your carpet when you resign. My a/c freezes up about 3-4 times a month. They claim they're sending maintenance to fix it and it's still hot. I called for a week straight. One time I called 5 times in one day. I asked for hardwood floors and the office said, verbatim, "none of our units have hardwood" but my neighbors JUST moved in and they have hardwood floors and a new a/c unit. Of course they're --------. I think they're kin to the office manager. Cars get broken into ALL the time. My car has been broken into 4 times. They don't have security. They'll get a security guard for about a week after the car break ins, just to say they have one, then they'll fire him off and it's back to unsecured apartments. Parking at night time is like finding a needle in a haystack. They need assigned parking. If you come home after 9:30/10, you'll have to park way at the other side of the apartments against the gate so you can't see your car. Remember, the break ins are high! Stray cats are everywhere. The roaches have gotten sooooo bad over the last couple of months. They're everywhere. They've sent Apple Pest Control once since. Seems like that made them worse. They do everything the cheap way. Rather than fixing it for good, they fix it for the time being just to get you to shut up. I can't wait to move. This was THE LAST time I resigned my lease. My time here is almost up and I couldn't be happier...---- BANKSIDE!”

“If u like living with rats roaches mold lack of maintenance this is the apartment for you. Oh did I mention from time to time your car will get broken into u might get robbed. People selling drugs out in the open. Run for the hills”

“These apts are horrible thanks to new management if I could post pics on here I would I have a actual hole above my toilet and the trash is over flowing out the dumpsters and every time you go to the office to complain they look at you like you wrong and tell you they would come fix it and never show they face”

“WORST APARTMENTS EVER I WAS THERE WHEN THE GENTLEMAN GOT STABBED. THE MAINTENANCE TAKES FOR EVER TO COME AND FIX ANYTHING THAT NEEDS FIXING. I MOVED IN WITH DIRTY CARPET BIG STAINS ON THEM AND THEY DID NOT EVEN WANT TO GIVE ME NEW CARPET. I GLAD I MOVED IT WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. ITS MOSTLY AFRICANS THAT STAY OVER THERE AND THEY ARE RUDE”

“I live in this apartment, it is horrible the staff is rude. I have two babies and I don't feel safe staying home alone, somebody was shot dead the begining of this January on the 3rd. I cant take my kids for a walk I'm pregnant and I can't take a walkbecause I don't feel safe. I stay at my mom's house until my husband gets back from work. My heater has not been working for 2 weeks and I have 2 babies, mold is on the vents paint peels off the restroom sink, there is too much to mention they want you to stay and pay but they dont want to work.”

“I have lived here since 2005. There has been 3 murders since Ive been here! The most recent murder happened just on January 3, 2013! A human being's dead body was just lying on the sidewalk in broad daylight!! Management says "oh it is a domestic violence matter, and it happens everywhere!" It happens here quite frequently! It was the second murder that a victim was stabbed in the neck!! The other murder , a precious little innocent boy was murdered! Its funny how all murders, involved people that were not on the lease! So that means anyone can live here at Bankside Village, just get a legit person to get the apartment in their name for you, and you are home free! It is so sad, but so true! It has been so many apartment breakins, cars getting broking into! Two guys were chasing this poor guy trying to rob him on property! The property's lighting was of course not working, management could care less of the tenants safety!! We used to have HPD officers, but they have been replaced with security! WTF! You never see them at all! 2 of them actually live on proprerty, but you would never know it! You would think they would be visible, if they lived on property! We have a new manager, yes again! Her attitude is better than the last one, but she is so dingy. She smiles in your face, and dont fix anything! Great!! Anyway, I guess what I am saying is DONT MOVE HERE, NOT IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE!! I value mindle and I am breaking my lease, I would much rather suffer the consequences than to continue to jeopardize my life!! If you ignore my warning and consider these apartments.........you will live to regret it!”

“WHEN I TELL YOU I HATE THESE APARTMENTS I HATE THEM! THANK GOD MY LEASE IS ALOMOST UP! ...at first everything was great until out of nowhere they talkin about i have to pay a got damn water bill and i had already been living there 4 months!!!! thats when all my problems started..then!!!! then a day before my birthday my mom bought me a brand new bed and then on my birthday (midnight) out of nowhere i seen ants all over my apartment and when i went to go look in my bedroom they were all over my new bed..new bedspread and everything!!!! i had to sleep somehwerelse in somebodyelse house ON MY DAMN BIRTHDAY!! i was so pissed i didnt even tell my mother..these apartments are infested with stray cats!! i hate cats!!! its so annoying!!!! like they are everywhere i even caught 3 having sex -_- like ew... another problem i had was with the people living around me.. playing there music at 6am as if ppl dnt have school or work in the mornging and what sucks is that the apartment walls are so damn thin!! its so annoying..then new people moved upstairs with 2 kids...i swear those kids ran up and down like they lived on the bottom floor..it came to the point where i started to use my broom to beat upstairs so i can get there attention..then i complained to the leasing office to do something before i do because if i did..i would be going to jail. they did NOTHING!!! it came to the point where i had to make sure i wasnt at home when they got off from school....the parents were lesbians..made everything worse.. in these apartments they are always doing constructon that goes on alll day and is soooo loud!!! i didnt go home for 2 days becasue i couldnt study for my test! (im a college student).THEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! a few weeks ago i spent the night at my friends house and came back to a big whole in my apartment..went to the leasing office and they told me the people upstairs toilet messed up ...since that happend everything in my apt was messed up..besides my tv because i took it elsewhere the day before..thank God.. my jordans, heels, clothes, martin dvds everything was messed up..i didnt have renters insurance so they couldnt help me out....but i think it was -------- how i sufferd when i didnt do anything to deserve that! then it seemed like i was annyoing the ppl at the office but idgaf...i was being tooo nice and they just kept walking over me..i hope that place shutsdown because its --------..i could keep going on for days about the ---- i had to put up with at these stupid apartments..my friends sister recommend them to me..found out she only did it for the damn 100$ when u refer somebody..funny how as soon as i moved in she starts talking negative about the damn apartments...anywyas...DO NOT GO HERE..RATCHET APARTMENTS..STRAY CATS...CONSTRUCTION...OH AND THEY ALWAYS CUTTING OFF THE WATER..IDK WHY THIS PLACE IS STILL HERE...CRAPPY --- PLACE.”

“these apartments are roach infested,and after i stayed there for one month i saw bed bugs so now i had roach and bed bug infestation,the security there stinks the bath room had mold all on the walls the bath tub leaked they fixed it it stopped leaking for a month and startd leaking again.”

“When I first moved to Bankside Village I was extremely happy. The grounds were well kept, management was nice and made every effort to meet your needs, and the apartments although older were well maintained. Fast forward a few years later, there is trash everywhere, maintenance sucks they don't ever fully fix anything just a patch job until it breaks again and they have been known to steal. Management is beyond rude and nasty. Cecily used to be nice but now she's Yolanda's(manager) goon and is just as uncaring and rude. Yolanda is a major ----- who does nothing and is clueless to anything going on. I guess since they don't live there they figure why care. There is no type of security. Oh, well I guess there is security if you count a random HPD officer who sits in car and talks on his cellphone then leaves once its dark. A young child was MURDERED at the complex earlier this year and instead of increasing security and doing a better job at screening their residents, what does Bankside do? They send out a standard notice telling residents to be more safe. Yes,people have to take proper precautions but when you live somewhere especially an apartment complex you want to feel secure and know that management is trying to prevent something so horrible from happening again. All they care about is getting your money and they don't put it into maintaining the property at all. Every summer the A/C's go out, this summer I saw someone had put a window unit in their apartment. No one should have to do that. The appliances are old as hell and god help you if they break because it'll be a few days before maintenance comes out to put on a thingamajig to "fix" it. The water is always off and the place literally smells like ----. If you are looking for a nice afforadble place to live avoid BANKSIDE VILLAGE AT ALL COSTS. They are not worth the trouble.”

“I've been living in bankside 4 years now, I like these apartments no one bother you, it is always quiet the rent is affordable. If you are looking for an affordable apartment I suggest you move here. I haven't had any problems in 4 years.”

“People are being robbed in this neighborhood by little kids that ransack their homes. I was told this by an eye witness, who spotted the children entering through the sliding door & did NOT even call the police because all the neighbors DO NOT care. The sliding doors were built wrong! I feel unsafe in my home, I can't wait to get out!”

“i have been living here for 4 years now and i have not experienced anything bad. it has been a few work orders that took a little time to get done but thats because we were waiting on a part.one being my ac went out and it was hot for a minute but i ended up renting a hotel and i was reimbursed. i mean i understand this is the southwest side of houston and everything but on an average its okay.i mean its better looking apts around of course but better looking isnt always better. and other apts around us have a higher crime rate. and yes it was a killing here on property recently, but honestly it can happen anywhere. and besides it was domestic!! and it happened inside of their apt. it is very sad but these things happen. honestly i dont think it is the apts.........its the people!!!!”

“I have been staying here for 2 years now and its like every month its something bad.A lady and her son got robbed, somebody got killed yesterday 10/3/2010 and also someone set two cars on fire and they are just sitting there making the property look bad i cant wait to move i have a child and dont feel safe.”

“I have been living in these apartments for going on 4 years now. I have not had any problems. My neighbors are nice and it is a very quiet community. I love the amount my rent is, I live in a 1 bed room apartment for only 449, that's a great price for a quiet community. I would highly recommand these apartments.”

“Since Maria left this property a lot of stuff has been happening, people's apartments getting broken into and the ------ and rude management do not make anyone awared of what has been going on, i lived there for a full year and when the previous managent was there everything would get fix, now with this one you report something and it takes about a month or never to get fix, the only time my ac got actually fix was when i called and told them that if my baby got sick one more time i was going to take them to court, and to get my deposit back it taking more than two freaking months, I'll never go back to this place and wouldn't recomment anyone to move here, i didnt have a good experience, don't get me wrong yeah it used to be quiet, not anymore they are letting just anyone in, all this ------ people and rude just like the management.”

“I have lived in these apartments for 3 years they are quiet and maintience always attentend to my needs. I am a student and love the cheap rent. If you plan to move in these apartments I suggest you stay to yourself. On a scale 1 to 10 I give it a 7. It's not to bad.”

“My family & I have lived in the apartments since March of 2008. Since we have been here a year, I don't have any complaints. After the storm Ike, they were quick to get the aprtments back clean & presentable. Theday after the storm, even the residents were helping pick up debris. I hope they keep sceening new residences so that we keep a good community.”

“these apartment are realy bad.The management are very rude .they once tried to lock me out over a 20 dollar water bill.And the kids that live here are horrible.Ive been hear for 7 months and my air conditioning has been broken since day one. Irealy be glad when my lease is up so i can get the hell out of hear.”
