— 8901 Bissonnet St · Houston“This is now day two since I found out the rejected by application, but refuse to refund me my deposit and admin fee. They charged me a $50 application fee, a $350 deposit and a $75 admin fee and told me I don't get my money back because I have a criminal record. I work for a county hospital, if I had a criminal record I would not get that job. You don't want me there that's fine, but you have to refund my deposit and admin fee. Apparently they charge you twice for the application the lady at the office said the $75 was for the paperwork she had to do to submit my application for the background check plus the $50. So in total I spent $125 for an application fee and on my receipt they put Admin fee.”
— 8901 Bissonnet St · Houston“I grew up here in from 2000-2005. The area itself is bad, very bad. The front of the apartments on bissonnet is nice but going towards the back on braeburn glen is where it gets dangerous. While we lived there, no one ever robbed us. We never experienced crime except once while my grandma was home alone, she said someone was banging on our room window. Could ave been kids or a crachead but it scared her. The people in the apartments were hard working families. The apt was clean on the inside. Had a few roaches but not much. I saw a man getting shot down by the cops in front of my window in 2005. Lots of drug dealers are in the area. Vacant apartments that promote crime. The apts itself arent bad, it was the area that was bad.”
— 8901 Bissonnet St · Houston“i have lived in stone ricer for 3 months and have been complaining about this problem since i moved there i have 3 kids and preagnet when i told them my kids were.beeing biten all over by this bigs they dodnt care to come and even look at the apt now my apat is infeccted by them and they do not want.to let.me nove put without breaking my lease!!”
— 8901 Bissonnet St · Houston“If I could leave 0 I would. These apartments are horrible! They are out dated in every way. I am not snobby, but when your windows are kept in place buy a simple screw on the inside of the window pane, and the staff simply uses glue to seal the leaks, that's a problem. I have been waiting for 6 months for something to be fixed in my home. Every month when I paid my rent I placed a maintenance order for the same issue, it still hasn't been resolved. This " so called" friendly and professional staff is a facade, or maybe you have to be the "right" shade of brown to actually get them to do their jobs. The maintenance man does the work I can do, " simple gorilla glue" on everything, " voila it's fixed! " Absolutely NOT, it's still broken and at this point I do not even request work for them because it won't get done. They are not even courteous enough to call or send an email, they simply just ignore you. Omg! The roaches! Yikes! No matter what I do, they never stop. It could be due to the people next door have 20 people living under one roof and run an illegal unsanitary food cart out of their roach infested apartment. Too much? Nah, it's the truth. Do you like to take hot showers? Well, lol don't bank on getting those here. How about a bath? All ladies like to soak in a nice bubble bath after a long day of work right? Not here, you'll have to rent a hotel room for a tub that isn't rusted. Then again I guess because 80% of the residents do not work, they have no need to relax in a hot bath at the end of the day. What about BROWN water? You like brown water? I know I don't. I guess brown water is better than no water when it's time to take a shower. Sometimes my water doesn't even come out the faucets... Why is that you ask? Lol because the people below me have 15 people living in their house, so they are using up the water pressure. I can be in the shower all soapy, the water stops, now I am stuck in the freezing cold because the water isn't running. Now when I looked this apartment up online, I thought, " these reviews have to be bogus. " then I actually moved here and realized just about every negative review is ACCURATE! There's never any parking, even though they have implemented a park permit system. That does no good, because in the guest parking there are 10 to 20 cars that are broke down, abandoned, or owned by unemployed people who never leave. Or they have vehicles out in the parking lot used as storage vehicles. I leave you with this warning, if you must move here, be handy, or demanding, but even of you demand or request the same treatment as the management would expect, they will not give it. I was actually told by Monica, that I do not need to live here.... I chuckled, because I moved from out of state and pretty much had to move in. You have been properly warned.... Good luck. Anonymous”
“Where do I began with theses apartments. Lived over here for 15 years it was wonderful untill my last few years roaches, prostitues, dope heads, drug dealers. The top gun security comapny officers was rude ignorant and racist he would prevolk theses young kids so he could write them up.. He even attempted to have my daughter arrested because she was parked the wrong way and was not on my lease. Immirgation needs to be called so does the housing borad its people who have 7 people stayin in a 1 bedroom and not to mention all the animals. The management is horrible and nosey there always in someones buissness and quick to put a lock out on your door. They are infested with bed bugs and refuse to treat them so everyone was moving out and all they did was sign a new family to the apartment. thats just nasty. they also have wood rats that live in the buildings but refuse to treat for them and the roaches because they say itss not the aprtments responisbility. PLEASE DONT MOVE INTO THESES APARTMENTS.”
— 8901 Bissonnet St · Houston“Not a good place to live. Bad are. Stupid managemant. Stuff that breaks they never fix it right. My stove on has only two working burners. My car got broken into.my appartment almost got broken into.the only good ting is the price but you end up paying more for your xamage property. And my other car got toned on the windshiel.”
— 8901 Bissonnet St · Houston“Pleasant facility, good location. Leasing office staff members are pleasant and helpful. They handle facility requests in a manner. Security guards are visible and canvas the property regularly. Grounds are kept clean and clutter free. Renters are carefully screened, keeping the quality of tenants at a level where there is no undesirable behavior being displayed. Parking can be a little tight, grounds are well light..”
— 8901 Bissonnet St · Houston“Their ads say workng gates but, been there for about a year now and those gates will never ever close. Not just that but, they make you purchase a key for the stupid gate.. seriously, wtf? They never make any repairs in your unit, and they give you old --- doors with big wholes that might of worked when my grandma was 2 years old. I was given a unit with patches everywhere, I was stupid enough to sign it cause they promised to fix them, they never fixed anything on my list. Water is not always hot, in the mornings it usually comes out cold. A/C breaks down real easily even after it gets "fixed". There is always trash everywhere. Prostitutes working on the corners. Oh yeeaaa that model unit... your apartment will look nothing like it.. its just a show. Security guards are only on their phone and stand in one spot. Take it from someone who got to know what a disaster these apartments are, do yourself a favor and don't move here. On top of this, the manager act like cinderella's step mother.. just a complete -----! Like if she was the big ----.. guess what she isn't.”
— 8901 Bissonnet St · Houston“Please please, Do NOT MOVE IN. I have been here 5 months hate it. Don t let the Photoshop picture of Stoneriver real you in to signing a lease tell things get better for the residents here. This is by far the worst apartments I have moved into. I give you warning now before signing a lease you can t break for a year. The complex is very old it was built in the late 60s which cause for major problems in the foundation and plumbing of this property. Every week the residents suffer having the hot water turned off without notice, this usually last from 10 am to around 5pm. If you re home during these hours to bad for you. Management will just say as always Sorry for the inconvenience but there is nothing we can do but call the plumber . Yet aging they will hire a low cost unlicensed service to come and a half---- job. There is a unhealthy amount off roaches in the walls the property refuses to pay to tint the buildings so be prepared for a battle. The neighborhood streets surrounding the apartment s main and side entrance are very high areas for prostitution so be very careful mothers as you take your children to and from school. The management really has to care for its residents not just in rent collection which better be on time no matter if your roof caves in, which actually happened to my neighbor last week. Between now and December I will keep fellow renters informed about the condition of Stoneriver apartments. Picture to come also. Thank you If we don t stand up for are self s as renters this will not get better on the properties in which we live. We are the ones paying the rent to keep the properties afloat. .”
— 8901 Bissonnet St · Houston“I went to see their available apartments and really wanted to take the one I was shown, however, the require 3 times the rent. One needs to make $1500 to rent there. They were not willing to work with me so I could rent there. That left a bad taste in my mouth, if you know what I mean. ---- in the office could not answer my questions because she was just transferred from another property.”
— 8901 Bissonnet St · Houston“Stoneriver is a great place to live in Houston. I lived here for a year before relocating for my job. The manager is great and very helpful. Maintenance is on top of anything as soon as there is a problem. Fortunately I never had any issues here and really enjoyed my time at Stoneriver. The surroundings were really clean and there was plenty of parking even later in the evening. The community is really safe and overall a nice place to live.”
— 8901 Bissonnet St · Houston“My boyfriend lives here and I spend the night at least 3-5 times a week as it is closer to my work than my place. I wish I could get out of my lease early and move here. The grounds are really nice and so are the neighbors. Everyone is super friendly including the office staff. There is a gate which makes us feel very secure. Parking is never a problem as you must be registered to park, those who aren't get towed. His unit is really nice. A lot nicer than most of the other places in the immediate area. I will definitely be moving in here as soon as my lease is up. It is a nice community and very convenient to anywhere you need to go.”
— 8901 Bissonnet St · Houston“DOOOOO NOOOOTTTTTT MOVE HERE!!!!! If you see the model unit, it is nice but, it will never look like what you get. DO NOT GET FOOLED!! Parking is horrible there is never anywhere to park. We have a cerfew which is 10pm because the area is so dangerous and there is no security. Gates are always opened and they charge $25 per gate card, a gate card you will never have use for. The manager discriminates, and is never helpful with anything and she yells at you for any reason. They treat you really nice before you sign contract but, afterward they treat you like crap. Many ppl have gotten stabbed or broken into. I completely regret leaving my old place, for this peace of crap SERIOUSLY!!”
— 8901 Bissonnet St · Houston“I have been here for a year and I love it the management is wonderful. We will be staying here another year. The parking is great and they tow the cars that are not registered here. They are making the property look great with the new paint.”
— 8901 Bissonnet St · Houston“From the day of moving in til moving out there were an infestation of roaches, then came the bedbugs, bugs coming thru the carpet, from under the front door, thru the cracks in the corners of the base boards, everywhere, my daughter was scared to get in her own bed. Talked to the office, their response is: we are under new management, we dont have no contracted pest control. There is an overload of cats and noisy yakky dogs”
— 8901 Bissonnet St · Houston“this aparments have flood problem every side walk the gate never works and u have to pay 25 dollars por the card gate and u never use no security and before u want to renew contrat thy just want gime to you shampoo carpet thats all i ask the manager to take the carpet and put floor and she told me the dont have the money to make changes to the aparments”
— 8901 Bissonnet St · Houston“I have lived here for 3- years and I absolutely LOVE IT!!! It is a beautiful property and peaceful .. The grounds remain clean and maintained at all times.... Don t know of any problems, seems pretty safe. I have never had such a wonderful experiences like this ...I would recommend these apartments to everyone. In the other hand the office staff is very friendly and helpful too. I don t plan on moving until I buy a house!”
— 8901 Bissonnet St · Houston“One I moved into this apartments the personal seemed nice and want to work with you. The place lacks maintenace and even the maintenace personal tell you that instead of complaining why don't pertend that everything is fine. The apartment lack security in the property..people come in and out like nothing the gates are all broken, the apartmets are horrible....The have alot of paking space available but yet when you have visiter the have to park at the very back of the parking near the trash can and with only maybe 10-15 visiter parking for such a large apartment complex...”
— 8901 Bissonnet St · Houston“I moved into this apartment last December and was out by February. Although moving in I knew this place wasn't the safest place to live but I didn't think it would be this bad. Many cars were broken into. My apartment was broken into and my brand new TV was stolen. Gun shots atleast a few times a week. The neighbors were ------ and there were kids running around everywhere, even at night. Where are your parents?! The dumpster was constantly overflowing with trash in the parking lot. People would try and sling their trash over the gate and miss, leaving trash everywhere. Management was unprofessional. You have to have maintenance requests in writing so I would fax them a very professional request and nothing was ever done. My porch light never worked. You couldn't see through my peep hole. My safety was not worth the cheap price.”
— 8901 Bissonnet St · Houston“well is all right is not perfect or ugly is median theres a lot of gangs though especially in the night theres are some robbery ugly animals like snakes and stuff like that too expensive for apartments like that! too overpriced! uuumm there criminals and the parking is awful theres hole and rocks creaking apart! inside of the apartments is too smelly i cant describe it! and the community is too ------!”
— 8901 Bissonnet St · Houston“this community has it problems as does any other. the current staff is very courteous and does thier best to help with problems that arise. there is a criminal element living in the complex it exists every where.”
— 8901 Bissonnet St · Houston“The apartment complex is very nasty trash all over, very unkept. The apartments has alot of crimes and very getto people. There are about six to 10 racoons wildly running threw the complex. They are criminals living here. The washers and dryers are always broken, the gates are always broken. There is no emergency maintaince. The management staff is very unprofessinal. Overall it is like living on the streets. My car was stolen and vandalized and alot of cars here have been vandalized and alot of crime. A teenager was murdered here and a gay couple was murdered here.”
