My lease will be up soon and I am getting out quickly, not even a year fulfilling my lease and I am so ready to leave. I have heard about 6 gunshots right outside the apartment coming from the apartments next door, there are bedbugs in most homes (which are hard to get rid of) and maintenance does not fix things all the way! They have to come back several of times...... Not sure why they changed management but they where really nice, and the security guard is awesome! Another thing I do not like is the parking here, the wrecker does not come when you call and I had a reserved space that I was paying for but rarely got to use! Like really!! These new people in the office seriously suck, they want to put rules but don't fix anything up!! I do not recommend this property and if you don't believe me come take a look yourself, drive around at night and look at the parking!! Ridiculous! Happy searching folks! This ain't the place!!”
— 10615 BEECHNUT ST · Houston“This place is a TOTAL ripoff and I would not encourage anyone to live here!!! Not only are they in a horrible neighborhood (which of course they don't mentioned, but if you don't believe me, Google the Alief neighborhood and watch the crime reports and gang references), but they are bunch of crooks as well!!! Applied for an apartment (moving to TX from a different state) and was drawn to their below market prices (if it sounds too good to be true...guess what...it probably is). In the middle of the application process, my leasing agent was terminated!! Started working with this new girl and all of the sudden things change COMPLETELY!!! The style of apartment I was promised was suddenly no longer available and now they want me to pay an additional $575 deposit...in addition to the move-in special deposit of $150?? WTF??? Can someone say bait and switch (which is illegal by the way!!!). My credit didn't change over night, so why in the hell am I having to pay more money all of the sudden??? On top of that, I had already FED-EXed my damn application along with the money orders for the application fee and administrative fee, and after hearing all of the new lies, requested that ONLY my administrative fee of $75 be refunded because I no longer wanted to live there. Do you know they had the NERVE to refuse to refund it!! "You signed a paper saying there are no refunds. We cannot change the rules for one person." Ummmmmm.....b*tch your staff lied and I don't deal with liars, so as a means of appeasing the customer, give me back my money so I can take my business elsewhere!! I would HIGHLY encourage you guys to stay away!!! If I'm having problems like these as an applicant, imagine what it would be like as a tenant!!!?? Let my mistake be your blessing. Believe me, there are TONS of apartments in Houston that will work with you...regardless of your present situation. Read reviews like this one and take heed. You deserve a decent home with a landlord who will operate with integrity. Unfortunately, Ashford Stoneridge Apartments (managed by Ashford Co) simply isn't one of them.”
— 10615 BEECHNUT ST · Houston“I have to say that the new owners (ashford communities) are finally doing some good things in this complex. They installed new surveillance cameras and they are good for security and like the playgrounds for kids to play..keep it going!”
— 10615 BEECHNUT ST · Houston“Do not move here . They run a SCAM !! They have been promising my daughters apt since mid june and STILL HER APARTMENT IS NOT READY . She knew not to give them her deposit of $150 as she had not signed NO CONTRACT and she went to ask for it back they told her NO as its to late that her apartment is ready for tomorrow but they had been feeding her that lie for two mnths now. They are liers dnt trust these ppl !!!! I reported them to the BBB.”
— 10615 BEECHNUT ST · Houston“There is nothing special about this property however considering the pricing, its pretty decent. The Front Office staff is friendly and they work with you on certain circumstances. I recommend this place.”
— 10615 BEECHNUT ST · Houston“IF YOUR AIR CONDITIONER BREAK DOWN AT NIGHT OR ON THE WEEKEND . THEY LET YOU STAY IN THE HOT APARTMENT.UNTIL THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY.THEY SAY THEY WILL COME BUT DON'T.THEY NEED TO HAVE MAINTANCE WORK WHEN EMERGENCIES,AIN'T THATS WHY THEY LIVE HERE IN COMPLEX!!! TO WORK!!”
— 10615 BEECHNUT ST · Houston“This place is the worst I have ever lived in!! This place is bed bug infested and they wont do anything about it! The manager and staff are rude and liars!! My roof caved in, in my room and thank god my baby was not in the crib because that would have killed him!! The roof caving in destroyed a bunch of my property and they told me they where going to pay for everything but to not call the cops!! And my dumb self believed them! Now I'm going to sue them ... long story short don't move here!!!”
— 10615 BEECHNUT ST · Houston“they never fix nothing maintance suck!!!in the office they don't care about you. you can call 3 times they they want come to your apartment to fix your promblem months and months go by.when it rain it grounds are flooded. hard to find parking at night.they towed cars even if you live here.”

— 10615 BEECHNUT ST · Houston“THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX IS A NIGHTMARE!!!! Seriously consider living here. My ceiling is startingin fall in and until it completely caves to complex and management will not do anything. There are more roaches than their are drug dealers and thats saying a lot. Gun shots yes of course but the leasing office is harder to deal with than the gun shots. My paper parking permit got wet and the leasing office will not give me another one so even though I pay rent I have to park on the street and subject to more damage from this neighborhood or I have been told they will tow my car as I have seen them do some of my other neighbors. We have had raw sewage coming down the pathways and it took maintenance over five days to take care of what was causing the leak let only cleaning it up. This review does not have enough space for me to explain all detail but for godsake man don't move here!”
— 10615 BEECHNUT ST · Houston“Me and my family moved here back in 2007 and thought that everything was ok at first but as soon as nightfall hit "ITS HELL". Gunshots right outside the window EVERY night. My neighbors were always doing drugs outside like nothing. Drug dealers everywhere, walking around in daylight with no shame in front of kids and everything. Weeks after moving there my car got broken into and when i called the cops they took so long the crackhead was able to just get out camly (after an unsuccessful attempt to steal my radio) and just walk down the street like nothing happpened. Days later the same crackhead tried to break into my parents van and again was unsuccessful. So if youre willing to sacrifice you and your family's safety go ahead and move here just to save a buck. YOUVE BEEN WARNED!!”
— 10615 BEECHNUT ST · Houston“Me and my family moved here May 2008. First off i was scared to move here because of the area. the first couple of months it was fine. they would come fix things and everything. after the hurricane, what the --- happened. it took them 4 months to fix but still till this day they are not finished. and the gang bangers...... they are out all the time now. The apartments are suppose to have security..... they have not been back for almost a month. True rent is cheap but da--! If you do decide to move here (hopefully cause the rent is cheap), move close to the front by the office. there atleast you can have a piece of mind. They always keep the area by the office clean for potential residents.....”
— 10615 BEECHNUT ST · Houston“me and my husband moved over to stonerige apts in oct 2008 months later we discoverd that the apartment was infested with mold growing all in the walls we later found out that the apt was boarded up for nearly a year before they moved us in we including our 2 small kids started to feel sick like we were coming down with a cold not knowing the whole the ----in time we were breathing in poisonous --- mold spores for months,we let the office know and she told me she was going to spray chemicals then paint over it . i looked at that ----- like she was crazy i told her no, youre going to fix it the right way and tear the sheetrock out and move us to another unit she wouldnt do it. lying telling us that nothing was available. so she burnt rubber and took her ----- --- to another propoerty. so then a new manager in there and he gone tell us that he can move us to another apt in the same building as the mold and wanted us to pay rent after we had to stay in hotel rooms for 2weeks because not to mention the fire department had to come out and REMOVE our meter afriad that the unit would cause an electrical fire due to faulty wiring in the apt they are failing to do anything but we something coming for they ----- ---! If you see stone ridge apts RUN!!! GET THE ---- AWAY WITH THA QUICKNESS!!!!!!!”
— 10615 BEECHNUT ST · Houston“I stay in stone ridge and I got behind on my rent during rita and he filed a eviction on my name two days later after I payed all the fees to cancle the eviction and I still have that on my cridit report he also tried to make us move so that people from katrina could have our apartments because he had lied to fema. They are roach infested and they dont fix ----. I also bought a new car and it was towed 30min after I parked it their. the maintance staff also had orange cords comming from my eletic meter to vacant apartments. Im a former tenet<br>”
— 10615 BEECHNUT ST · Houston“I first moved on to the property in 2004. At that time they were under the supervision of the FLaship mgmt company. Then later that year they were sold to BKGK, which is a small mgmt company. The office staff started out being polite, but as the years passed on they became rude, prejudice, and down right disrespectful. They have made several comments about black people that i found rude. they knowingly allow drug dealers to reside on the property. There was one time Office told a Rita Evacuee, "I'm tired of you people, you need to go home". and one point told my mother to F* off. Someone walked into my apartment and when i reported it to the leasing office and they did nothing. I requested several times for them to come fix my toilet in my apartment, and it was 3 days before some one came by to even look at it. I told them that some tried to break into my car, they hired an elderly man. When I transferd units they put me into an apartment with dirty carpet, a broken bedroom door, and a broken dishwasher. they also moved me into an apartmen where all they did was paint over spider webs, i found several roach eggs under my sink, and later i saw a mouse. during the summer i requested several times for them to service my ac unit, because it would not cool, yet i saw the maintenance man on several occassions, on sunday, going into the office getting the freeon, going to a -------- persons house and fixing there AC then putting it back. later i learned that there were several -------- individuals were staying rent free for several months. the lighting at nighttime is horrible.”
