“It started out a few years ago. nice, quiet peaceful. Good neighbors. Even the older. downstairs neighbor was a little older but she was ok. After about a year everything changed. Now thats not to say oakmoor was great. Not at all. fire trucks, ambulances and ploice stayed over there 3-4 times a week. Their security is apparently there for nothing other than a check. Things changed rapidly after they (from what everybody in the apts say_) one of the ladies in the office in taking me under the table to overlook background checks and other things that werent allowed. the lady that lived under us that we like to call gladys turned out to be the neighborhood snitch. were pretty sure she is the reason we got caught up in this because they have cleared out that entire section almost. like 15 families within months. however they deserved. our dogs were quiet and peaceful. yet we got violated for them (under the table money). they put a note on my car on the 9th of may giving me less than 12hrs to get a tuneup, registration,fix a flat tire, etc... but there were 3 other cars that were tagged to be towed away also but they are still there. (under the table) and thats including the lady downstairs who has only drove that vehicle no more than 10 times in 3 yrs in order to hold her parking spot., unbeliveable right? its true though. when the tow truck came he told me that the lady called him directly and told him to come pick up the rest of the VEHICLES in the parking lot, he only took mine. it got to the point like they were picking on us. could barely ever get them to come fix the AC. my daughter has had black mold in her room forever. they never changed the filters for the AC. ALMOST NEVER ROUTINE MAINTENANCE. UNAUTHORIZED OCCUPNATS AND OUR DOGS IS WHAT THEY GOT US ON. I AGREE, MY OLDEST DAUGHTER GOT THAT APT FOR US TO HELP US GET ON FEET. AT THE END OF THE DAY THESE PEOPLE CARE MORE ABOUT MONEY THAN HELPING A FAMILY KEEP THEIR ONLY VEHICLE. THEY CARE MORE ABOUT MONEYTHAN TO COME CHECK AND SEE HOW BAD THE BLACK MOLD WAS IN MY DAUGHTER. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT NOTHING IN MY OPINION BUT THE LOVE OF MONEY. (I DO HAVE PICS AS WELL.WERE GONE NOW BUT MY GOAL IS TO KEEP GOING GETTING THIS STORY OUT THERE UNTIL IT HITS HOME. I JST LOOK LIKE THIS BUT I A HANDFUL OF PEOPLE IN HIGH PLACES. THERE SHALL BE AN INVESTIGATION COME SOON TO A COMPLEX NEAR YOU. BUCKLE UP THIS GONE BE A BUMPY RIDE.”

“Before I left a review I had to catch the vibe and so far minus the schools my kids are zoned to.. it's quiet....upon arrival ask for Latreba she walked me thru the process and made moving in a breeze Thank you again ma'am”

“These apartments aren’t where you want to move! The outside of the building is atrocious!!! I told them the washer area had mold they never did anything about it! The cabinets were falling apart day 3 I was in the space! They didn’t resurface the counters and didn’t repaint the space! I wasn’t allowed to see the space before move in and had to move in due to funds already being spent on movers etc. needless to say I moved in May I’m moving out July! This is an honest review! The management is nice but the overall upkeep of the apartments is horrible!”

“WOW, knock out staff. came to get information on the community. Nothing available but was welcomed by Ms. Irene she took all my information, to follow up with me and I left with a smile very clean and friendly staff, the manager Ms. Cynthia was passing by and stopped and introduced herself and welcomed me I felt already part of the property. This is where I want to live where you feel like HOME ..”

“Worst experience ever. They set appointments that and not on time. One lady had an attitude on the phone and then have the nerve to ask did I have an appointment after I already waited 30 minutes outside and told someone else the time already. I never got to see the apt after I was told I would which was the purpose of the appointment. They deserve 0 stars. Someone else was waiting on their house key to move in almost 2 hrs. My mind was made up already.”

“I love this property Ms.Cynthia and Ms. Latreba are very Nice they make sure you are satisfied and comfortable in your home I haven't had any bad experience I highly recommend property to others the community is quiet.”

“PLEASE DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE. These young ladies, Cynthia (Manager) Jessica (Asst. Management) (Previous OAKMOOR tenant 2 years ago) Letreba (Answer phones and spread gossip and rumors and spread other tenets business along with Jessica and Cynthia) These ladies have been doing fraud, every since Cynthia was promoted from assistant management, to head management. Cynthia moves in people that they know, under the table and accept CPN Numbers, and they know that it is fraud information. And they also help future residents make fraud check stubs to make them qualify to be residents. The recent reviews are most likely fake, and from new residents that have moved in, and from people that they personally know. Ashely the previous asst. manager before Jessica, Ashley, Letreba, and Cynthia was taking money UNDER the table to move in people that personally know, and have people waiting on the waiting list for days, and months. All these ladies do is gossip leave the premises, to handle personal business, and get their hair done by tenets on the premises on the clock. They also screen calls, for one another to avoid talking to the tenet. Jessica sits in the office and does illegal drugs, she takes Narcos ( a prescription drug) and drinks on the clock. When Cynthia does not like a certain tenet, she will do ANYTHING to get them off the premises. For example, if you are a day late, she will harass you, by calling your job being unprofessional by asking when are you going to pay your rent. They are not supposed to accept money orders, you are supposed to pay online only, but for her favorite tenets she will do whatever and look out for them, for a small cash fee. Not to mention they have a new -------- girl screening calls to avoid certain tenets. When Cynthia or Jessica, does an inspection of the apt. when you move out, they will lie on having damages to the apt so you can't get your deposit back. Letreba also dates tenets in the apartments. The gates are always broken every 2 days, the cameras don't work, there is not any security, and Embrey the company that is over the apartments, don't give a damn. They have several complaints, and nothing is ever solved, and Cynthia finds out that you made a complaint about what she has done or something that isn't done, and BAM you're evicted out the complex. The crime rate is high as well. The only reason I put one star is to write this review, and they REALLY DON'T DESERVE THE ONE STAR. PLEASE DO NOT MOVE OVER HERE, UNTIL IT'S BETTER, MORE PROFESSIONAL, AND BETTER MANAGEMENT. The apartments are not spacious, they don't want anything on the balcony or the balcony closet. Where else can you store your belongings? The dishwashers have mold and do not work.”

“This place is very bad, bedbugs are speading from unit to units. The ladies in the office are nasty just like these nasty apartments. Walk around the apartments before you decide to move here. Just because these apartments are low income it is not worth living here. Everytime you see mattresses outside by the dumpster most likely the residents are throwing them away because of bedbugs in their unit. I am moving out, but they try to give me a hard time.”

“Thus place is filthy don't move here. Bedbugs are spreading from unit to units. They never power the building, trash everywhere, cars get broken into, and the ladies in office do not care. They attitudes are very bad. Yes this is my last year.”

“I lived here a little over 2 years the quality of the apartments are okay....management could be forgot my car was hit over night while parked perfectly in parking have security over claims he saw cameras only cover office are left dirty trash all over the apartment over the weekend. Management are somewhat ------ with attitudes and no listening skills all about the mighty dollar$ don't upkeep the buildings allow property to look dirty.”

“Move here in 2016 still living here 2017 these apartments are very noisy and people breaking into your car, will be moving very soon.”

“I was so excited to move OUT of Oakmoor, the best thing about this property is the location. My car was broken into TWICE, not once but TWICE, the ants are ridiculous (they are inside & outside) which means the grounds NEED to be treated often. Oakmoor stays fully staff thanks to section 8 & housing vouchers so don't let "oh we don't have nothing available until ______" fool you.”

“These apartments are nice and the staff is okay. If you go in there talk to the light skin one with glasses, she is funny! The only reason I didn't move in was because I was over income.”

“I moved into Oakmoor Apartments in October of 2013 these aparments is a awesome place to call home. My leasing agent was faith she really knew alot about the property and how it could really accomadate me and my family. When we moved in I had ballons in the front room welcoming me to my new home as well as birthday ballooons. My leasing agent is always on top of things when you have maintance issues they are out the same day. Oakmoor is and outstanding community to be apart of and if you are looking for a safe and friendly community Oakmoor should be at the top of your list.”

“It's a wheel kept place I can sit outside on and watch my baby play at the park. She loves the view its very quite the employees here are so helpful its a nice place to live”

“I have lived at Oakmoor for 3 years and I love it. The girls in the office are very nice and friendly. Maintenance always finishes work in my apartment when they say they will. I just signed a new lease and plan to stay.”

“I have recently moved in at Oakmoor Apartments and love the convenience of the medical center. My apartment is nicely located and the landscaping is always nice and clean. The manager is always helpful. I am looking forward to my living experience here.”

“All i can say is do not move here if you dont wont your car stolen are apartment broken in.I have had one of my cars stolen and my daughters car have been broken into.There is no security just a dam car parked with no one inside of it.These apartments have gotten to bad.”

“DO NOT MOVE HERE !!!!!!!! THESE APARTMENTS ARE FULL OF ---- , I MOVED HERE IN FEB. 2013 AND MY APARTMENT HAS BEEN BROKEN INTO TWICE ... THE SECURITY? THERE IS NONE ... ALL THEY HAVE IS A LITTLE WHITE DUMMY POLICE CAR THEY PARK AROUND THE COMPLEX AND LEAVE IT THERE FOR DAYS WITH NO ONE ACTUALLY BEING THE CAR SECURING THE PLACE AS NECESSARY... NOT TO MENTION MY CAR HAS ALSO BEEN BROKEN INTO ... THE MAINTENANCE ARE HORRIBLE ..THEY COME IN FOR 2 SECOND AND ALL OF SUDDEN EVERYTHING IS FIXED ... WHICH EXPLAINS WHY I HAVE TO CALL BACK TWO DAYS LATER FOR THE SAME EXACT ISSUE ... THESE APARTMENT ARE SWAMPED WITH ANTSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS AS WELL ... THEY DON'T COME AND SPRAY OR INSPECT AS THEY SHOULD ...THESE APARTMENTS ARE SO DAMN CROOKED ITS NOT EVEN FUNNY... AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST THE CHILDREN ARE LOUD AND ------ AND OUTRAGEOUS ... WARNING WARNING WARNING !!!! CANT WAIT TO MOVE THIS MONTH !”

“These apartments suck. The management is horrible and they have no compassion. I am a full time college student with two jobs and they were not willing to give us a break with being late on any firm of payments. They take forever to fix anything. And lets not forget that the complex has terrible security and no real way to prevent crime.”

“I have been a resident here since 2010 and I have no issues are concern currently...even with old leasing agents leaving and new ones coming...ALL have been pleasant and there are enough in th office at all times to serve the needs of residents. The maintenance team is skilled and timely, the manager is concerned and willing to listen to issues that the residents may hav The complex is clean and cleaned every morning even if your residence is neighboring children who make messes! I would encourage any apartment seaker to apply and come to live at Oakmoor, the location is great 288 within walking distance east, 610 to the North of it and the beltway is east of it and Oakmoor apartments is in the middle. THE END!”
