She greets you with a smile and is attentive and caring about whatever issue you are bringing her direction. Not too far into the conversation, you immediately you can tell that she cares about your experience at Allen House. Kelli approaches each issue with a high standard of customer service and professionalism in place and sets an example for the maintenance staff to carry out their responsibilities with the same standard. She truly wants your experience living at Allen House to be beyond a positive one. Its obvious that Kelli's cares about every resident and wants everyone to consider this is not just living at an apartment complex but living at your home.”

“My husband and I had a tour of the community with Jessica Alvarado and we really enjoyed our small visit. Although we are still a few months away from moving to Houston Jessica was still very attentive, professional, respectful and answered all our questions. We never felt rushed and the community looked so well kept and like a place we would enjoy living in. We hope that once we are ready to make our move they have something available that fits our needs. Again, we were impressed by the professionalism and kindnes Jessica offered. Thank you!”

“I have lived in the Allen House Apartments for 26 years. I was skeptical about the term "apartment home" but the Allen House truly is home. Our Manager Kellie is very attentive to our concerns with friendliness, courtesy, and professionalism. The maintenance staff is top notch. It's an older community but well kept. Our courtyards are beautiful and there are plenty of trees. If you're looking for a place that's centrally located, with nice neighbors and a sense of community, come to the Allen House.”

“The building was wonderful. We loved the pool and outdoor space, and the units have fabulous views of Houston. Jessica showed us around and she could not have been warmer or more knowledgeable. She pointed out everything that makes the building special, things that we would have never thought of! Very grateful to have had her help us out today.”

“I moved in August and have had an exceptional experience since. The staff made me feel welcomed and taken care of from the day I leased to now. My move in day was so special thanks to everyone on the team. The building is always clean and well maintained. My guests always have the best time visiting and receive a warm welcome from valet and Kellie and the entire concierge team. Every time I've been sick or needed something they make my life easier and take care of me. They also have lots of fun events every month and always keep our pets in mind. I love living here and recommend the building to everyone!”

“I’m not sure if I can say enough good things about this place. I have been at apartment hunting for about two days now and I have seen over eight of different apartment complexes. This wowed me from the moment I walked in. I instantly got welcomed by the valet, which was complementary. Kyle was the one that showed me around the place. He is so knowledgeable and made me feel super comfortable and at home. As soon as I walked into the unit, I felt like it topped anything I saw prior. I checked every box that I had off. The layout you’re super spacious, and the amenities amazing and the views are to die for. I highly recommend you at least coming and looking at this apartment before signing anywhere else.”

“Make sure that you do everything perfectly- especially upon move out. If you don’t, you may be charged an additional month’s rent for half a month’s stay. Oh, you’ll probably be given about 2 days notice for all of this.”

“The apartments are old, but for this location the price is unbeatable. Plus you get your own parking spots near to where you live also. Walking distance from a strip mall with a couple of restaurants. And a further walk to River Oaks.”

“I have lived at the sovereign since the beginning of 2020. At the time that I moved in (there was obviously a lot going on with COVID) the building was well taken care of and in good condition. It's not the nicest building in the world but for the price it was a great place to live! Awesome amenities and great location. However, since we got a new manager last year the building went downhill VERY quickly. Two out of 3 of the elevators are constantly broken (imagine living on the 21st floor...), the common areas are filthy and promises have been repeatedly made saying that we are getting updates to amenities but they rarely ever follow through on anything. The most important issue for me, since I chose the building for 24 hour security as a woman who lives alone, is the CONSTANT security issues. There is no communication from management and no action until residents get angry and involve upper management. I won't name the security issues on here but if you're looking for piece of mind that entry is controlled into the building this is not the building for you. My third year here they just attempted to raise my rent by nearly 25% for no reason at all. Bottom line is, there are constant issues effecting our security and comfort and the building manager, Kyle doesn't seem to have the sense of urgency or commitment to quality and resident satisfaction that should accompany the role that he is in. I have been dealing with management on some of these issues for over a year without long term resolution. I waited to write this review until I renewed my lease for fear of retaliation, but maybe now they might actually care....”

“I came in to tour with Marketa (sp?) last week, and she was so patient with me! She was very informative about the property, and made me feel at ease when my anxiety kicked in. Super sweet, and although I went with another community due to my need for an attached garage, I would highly recommend Allen House to anyone! Such a charming community with amazing souls working there. Sorry if I misspelled your name Marketa! I will never forget my experience with you!”

“I went to see this apartment for the prospect of living here. I spoke to several tenant who gave it an excellent rating saying the place was always very clean, well kept up and the maintenance was not only good but fast. The young man, Leon, who showed me the location and apartment, was beautifully mannered, well informed and very kind and helpful. It is unusual today to find such a lovely place with great ambiance and feeling. Though it wasn't exactly right for me, it will be a lovely home for others.”

“I toured the property a few months ago. Very quiet community, clean, and helpful. The office staff are always very pleasant and kind. The apartments are also spacious. I viewed a 1/1 pleased with what I saw.”

“When I went to visit your community last week a gentleman name Leon was able to assist me. He was very nice, lovely smile and great attitude! He went over and beyond to help me and was able to tell me about the area it self! He went over and beyond to google the nearest stores and shopping mall. I will be back to lease an apartment from HIM! I was so pleased!”

“Do yourself a favor and find another place to live... This apartment complex is horrible, looks nice but the management has no business managing a complex. They haven’t fixed the gate since last year. And their solution was to give us a pass. We want Judith back. The new manager is always “busy””

“Judith and her entire Team at The Sovereign are absolutely amazing! They keep all residents informed of property events, maintenance, etc. The property is kept impeccably clean and updated, and they provide fun community events for all! Shereen at the front desk is the sweetest, she always makes it a point to greet us and takes extra special care of my pets! Lou and his maintenance team are always willing to help no matter how big or small of a request, and is their same day addressing all maintenance issues! Could not recommend a better place to live!”

“I have lived at The Sovereign at Regent Square for over 2 years now and I have to say it is the best apartment I have ever lived in. First, the apartment complex itself is extremely well kept, clean, and quiet. The staff and maintenance crews are efficient and timely in responding to any requests. The amenity floor has the best view of downtown Houston I have yet to see, completely unobstructed, guaranteed to impress any guest. The gym has all the equipment you can think of including Pelotons, smith machines and a mirrored yoga room with interactive live classes. The pool is always relaxing and filled with friendly neighbors. I have made lifelong friends with many people I have met at the pool and within the complex. I have never had any safety concerns and the concierge does a great job of screening guests and deliveries without seeming inconvenient. I would recommend this complex to anyone who is looking for a clean, quiet, friendly, beautiful, impressive, and relaxing atmosphere.”

“Love living here— everyone takes care of me and the other neighbors to make this a beautiful and cozy place to live. Love giving kudos to everyone, the property manager, the leasing, concierge, maintenance, valet, custodial, and landscaping teams— they all do great work here. Neighbors tend to be courteous and usually clean up after themselves in common areas. Amenities floor is great, it’s always blissful spending time up there.”

“I’ve lived at the sovereign for 6 months now and have loved every minute of it. The concierges, valets, and office staff treat all of us here like royalty, in addition to being so friendly and efficient. It’s like a community here and all the neighbors look our for each other. During the freeze last week in Htx Judith (property manager), Carlos (concierge), and all of the staff worked over time making sure we were all fine and had everything we needed. They brought a warming bus, have us free meals and water bottles, and just in general went above and beyond to help us through the crisis. It has been an excellent decision to move here!!!”

“I had short notice to move to town that I did not know much about where I wanted to live. This place is centrally located and has everything I was looking for, especially being newer. Responsive maintenance and the building is up-kept well.”

“I must be happy here = I've lived here a very long time Everything has been satisfactury = I love the location.It is convenient to grocery store, Church , etc. I love the management team and other staff. The office communicates readily and often. I love the surroundins.”

“I have had some major issues with roaches, but maintenance and the staff have been very helpful in figuring it all out. I live in the cornermost unit on the cross streets, so it's noisy, but nothing that wakes me up in the middle of the night or anything. There's tons of space in the units and the location is amazing, but it is an older community, so don't expect something like a brand-new townhouse or anything. The price is comparable and decent, I would've liked to have my water (individually metered) and admin fees included in the rent in the first place instead of paying for it separately, but the admin staff is all really friendly and they remember me when I come in or have issues. I had a slight issue with someone parking in my spot and the office held off from towing the car (which is their written policy) and then I got threatened to get towed by other residents for being in their spots (there are several empty around the lot), but I haven't seen the car in a while and haven't had any more issues with it.”

“Moving in was great. It was easy for the most part, it was very tough to move my couch in because the stairs dont make it easy to move large items. Staff is super friendly and responsive. The location is also super convenient if your life revolves around Downtown Houston.”

“Allen House needs to desperately use it's financial resources to improve the exterior appearance of the property and make security a TOP priority. Also someone in management needs to be pro-active in walking the entire property at lease once a day to visualize problems, rather than leaving problems to be recognized and reported by it's residents.”

“The building and the grounds are nice, but management appears to be complacent. Newspapers are not delivered to residents in the building. The valet parking crew is using future residents parking spots.”

“I have lived here since June and so far so good. Tara was my leasing agent and before I even toured she called me to specially go over my list of needs/wants. That really stuck out to me because no other property had done that. She really went above and beyond (even responding to my many emails while she was out of the office). I toured the Sovereign first and knew it would be where I ended up.”

“I really like the location, the security features and convenience. The complex is quiet and neighbors I've met are friendly. The office staff is courteous and as I mentioned maintenance is helpful. I think JT in particular is especially good. Overall, I'm very pleased. Currently, I had a minor maintenance problem on a Saturday which will be completed on is fine.”
