I had to buy my own washer/dryer and oven cause they refuse to repair or replace anything.. my toilet just ran and ran for 7 months and they refused to come fix it.. Then after I moved up they sent a bill for like double what my rent was saying I owed for miscellaneous made up charges including the washer/and dryer that they took back a year earlier.. lol.. Roaches, rats, trash everywhere, dog ----.. ppl let their dogs roam free.. its crazy.. I mean if you sell or do dope its might be a good spot.. its definitely a trap.. And the office staff is so ------ and rude.. Do NOT MOVE HERE.. you will regret it..”
— 15100 ELLA BLVD · HOUSTON“I am done here and I unfortunately have to put up with it for another 4 months till my lease is out. The manager does not care about issues. I have to put up with new upstairs resident noise because management care less. Over a month ago new people move upstairs to this day not sure who are they and how many( sounds like 5-6!) because there are so many people come and go in this place. They don’t walk they stomp continuously on the floor for hours, they slam doors, the pounding on the floor like they are moving furniture including couple young kids . They are noisy in the bedroom when time to sleep and it is quiet. Can’t sleep ( put ear plug) can sit and watch TV in the living room with all stomping. They park their cars in front of peoples garages . I wrote an email to manager two weeks ago and follow up email 3days later and zero respond from her! I did an email again two days ago and zero respond! They don’t care they are just there to collect the rent. From the day one I moved here about Year and half ago they had plenty of time to get my unit ready but the day I came to get the keys it was not ready and had to rekey the apartment ! Old appliances still in the garage and not picked up and all rusted fluid all over the filthy garage that I had end up cleaning myself. I should not have signed a lease last year but I did and took them two months to get the contract ready to sign and I had to go through corporate to get someone’s attention. There is a huge pothole in drive way entering the complex to the right that has been there for as long as i live here. I had water busted few months ago in vacant upstairs and water leaked through my ceiling flooded my hallway. Called them many times about the emergency situation that morning and no one responded back to me if they know about it and I was concerned and drove from work there and when to the office to find out what is going on! It should not be like that, big time lack of communication and follow up in this complex. Folks if you are desperate and need to move here that’s fine but I would not recommend it at all and if you decided to move don’t move down stairs because this apartment built cheap and you can hear everything and even worse when you get a neighbor with 5-6 people live there and they have no respect for other neighbors. I work11-12 hours a day I need my sleep at night and when I get home I need a little piece of quiet, it is not much to ask.”
— 15100 ELLA BLVD · HOUSTON“Frequent gun shots. In addition to paying $25.00 a month ($300.00 a year) for door-to-door trash pick-up whether you use it or not, and an extra fee of $15.00 a month for the "Package Room" they built whether you use it or not, which is $180.00 a year. Rents increase $180.00 or more. Once they bend over backwards to reel you in, good luck getting them to answer the phone. If you can afford to pay all of the extra fees, you do get a garage. Residents are moving out in droves. There are 36 empty apartments now. No one wants to pay for the "Package Room." New manager is trying, but is limited by Corporate office in San Antonio.”
— 15100 ELLA BLVD · HOUSTON“Do not move here unless you want to pay for overpriced -------- and be ignored by mgmt. The old Portico management was ok. They did take care of maintenance requests but it was lacking still. The new mgmt REEP started charging more fees, upped the rent, told us we would have to pay for maintenance repairs, requests the last mgmt said they would fix. REEP kept messingup on rental amounts, they are "fixing up" apartments and raising the rent. Their phone number was not even working. Duringa pandemic in a community that doesn't have funds like the Woodlands does. REEP took advantage of the pandemic and took over apartment complexes but instead of working with existing tenants they are trying to make them uncomfortable, ignoring requests, so that tenants like me will leave. I keep in touch with friends that still live there, they are not taking care of these paying tenants still. They want to flip these apartments and sell to another mgmt company. Chartwell is someone's HOME. We paid our rent and still got treated like ----. Shame on REEP. Do not move here. Take your hard earned money elsewhere. Lastly, they are lazy AF, Their staff doesn'twear masks but there is signage that masks are mandatory. And they all leave earlier than the listed hours.”
— 15100 ELLA BLVD · HOUSTON“Please do yourself a favor, do not move in here. I had a massive bug infestation when I moved in. They acted as if the problem was my own. It took many complaints to get initial pest control. I ended up doing it all myself. The gate rarely works as intended. You can get out, but good luck getting in. You can submit 60 days written intent multiple times, yet they will “mysteriously”never have it on file.”
— 15100 ELLA BLVD · HOUSTON“The management company and/or team are not compassionate AT ALL. They have been total bullies during the pandemic and care nothing about the residents or the issues we have. I have been in contact with them during the entire crisis and yet I am still being evicted, even after them receiving assistance for me from Harris County. They (Chartwell Court) spoke with my representative, completed paperwork and sent it in to Harris County, and still filed a judgement against me.They received payment and still are trying to find a way to get me kicked out. Who does that? This is not the place you want to call home. I was warned of this place by a former resident and did not want to believe the things that I'd heard be pulled by this company when they took over. Now I see it to be true. Chartwell Court id over priced and poorly managed. You don't get the things you pay for and they cut corners and rob you blind in the process. Beware. In 2 years, they've towed my boyfriends car and the parts stolen from it, they've stolen my vehicle, they have overcharged us with the utility service, and what you pay for monthly, you don't receive. The trash service is a joke. I can count on 1 hand in 2 years, it's been collected.”
— 15100 ELLA BLVD · HOUSTON“THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER !!! I recently went for information to rent an apartment, we were working with Stella, and we told her that it was urgent to move since our current contract ended, and they did not care, they made me believe that they would give me an apartment which still lived people! When I saw clothes and furniture in the apartment that they would give us , just days before our move I spoke with her and she said that it was impossible, making us trust, one day she made me wait about an hour on the street, when I had a appointment, whatever! Then they talk to me to tell me that they won't give me the apartment anymore because the person who lives there won't leave! What irresponsibility a couple of days before my move and I went to speak to the manager to explain and they closed the door on my face, I guess because I am not an African American person, they were in the office and I knocked on the door and they completely ignored me! !! horrible experience they only want your money, they lie to you and make you believe that they will help you but they will only take the money from your application and throw you away, they are racist !!!! maybe if you are an African-American person you will receive a cordial treatment if you are not, do not come close!!!!!”
— 15100 ELLA BLVD · HOUSTON“It has been such a great time living here. Mrs. Kelly and Mrs. Minerva are always super nice and ready to answer or help in any way. They are very kind, polite, and patient while getting you what you need. Any time you put in a work order, they get the job done very fast in a timely manner! They usually have residents activities planned throughout the year and take pride in making sure they get the word out and that everyone has a great time. The gym and pool are always nice and clean and usually open with key access for 24 hours. I love it! Even during the whole Corona virus, they have made sure to keep everyone up to date via email and even worked with individuals on paying rent. These apartments are always clean and very well taken care of by the staff and maintenance men. I really appreciate the staff so much and would definitely recommend this place of home to anyone! -Jasmine Hunter”
— 15100 ELLA BLVD · HOUSTON“I have been here since October 2019 and these are the WORST APARTMENTS EVER! Appliances are all outdated as well as the interior of the entire apartment. Roaches were present upon move in and immediately following. It is now April and roaches are still present from time to time. Office staff said " Previous tenant didn't have this problem." A/C vents were moldy on the inside to the point of me having to clean them on my own. Maintenance takes forever to address concerns. OH!! Let's not forget the pet owners continuously leaving you nice surprises in front your door!!!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!!!! CAN'T WAIT TO GET OUT OF THIS HORRIBLE MESS!!!!!”
— 15100 ELLA BLVD · HOUSTON“Terrible maintenance service and follow up. Requests have to be made several times before a maintenance request is completed properly. Apartment manager makes excuses for being understaffed. This is an ongoing problem.”
— 15100 ELLA BLVD · HOUSTON“When I moved here I was so excited. Now that I'm here, I noticed my AC is not working properly. My apt gets super hot, not to mention my bedroom vent don't blow like it should, its like its clogged or some. I noted maintenance and the lady in office and their response was, " nothing is wrong with it, its because you are on the corner." Ok so what does the heat has to do with the clogged vent and I'm sure it dont suppose to get that hot. Which means air maybe escaping somewhere. I'm not home most of the time, I would like to come home to a comfortable apt and not feel like I'm baking. I'm sure if you guys stay all day in that apt, you would understand. But you don't because you go home to a comfortable place. More to the story, something needs to be done, I'm not staying another summer!”
— 15100 ELLA BLVD · HOUSTON“Is been a pleasure to me to live in this apartments. Is a wonderful and a safe community. Have not had any problems with my neighbors is very quiet and peaceful . Have no complaints to live here. It has been great to me.”
— 15100 ELLA BLVD · HOUSTON“This is an excellent apartment community. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and cares. Maintenance is excellent and the grounds are taken care of very well. If I had to complain about anything, it is that they are so strict on the rules with very little flexibility on a case by case basis.”
— 15100 ELLA BLVD · HOUSTON“This is horrible property. With a bunch of messy, nosey --- neighbors. I can't wait til my lease is up. The office staff is horrible too. They show you the apt., let you apply pay the deposit and everything then they start showing their true colors. Which is nasty, rude, and totally unprofessional.”
— 15100 ELLA BLVD · HOUSTON“Not what expected but not terribily bad.Neighbor above was very noisy and inconsiderate even aftet alerting management. Hoping for a better year. All should follow ettiquets . Please complete work in a timly manner.”
— 15100 ELLA BLVD · HOUSTON“When I first moved to Chartwell Court it was managed by Greystar. I really had an excellent experience with that management company; however with the new company took over came a lot of changes and not all for the better. With this new company they charge you to process your bill and your water bill is forever high. The manager is cordial however the assistant manager can be very rude.”
— 15100 ELLA BLVD · HOUSTON“I love it the staff is fantastic and the property is extremely quiet and clean I absolutely love staying here I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to make home! Always doing cool events and making sure the tenants are involved and engaged!”
— 15100 ELLA BLVD · HOUSTON“I've been having problems with my dryer and trying to set my apartment code to the phone from day one and it since doesn't work. The washer was dirt and gum was on the top of it. The dryer has went out twice since I been here. And all the maintenance personnel has done is replace it with a older dryer. My garage was dirt and the walls are scratched and marked by the previous renters. The walls inside my apartment wasn't painted well. Never was told I would have to paid a fee for billing statements. Once you move it all these different fees just magically appear. And I only been here since August 2019.”
— 15100 ELLA BLVD · HOUSTON“D cc'dThur in I have enjoyed icing here at Chartwell Court Apartments. The staff is very nice, friendly and helpful. They will always do their best to be efficient with the work orders. The Gym and Pool are great.”
— 15100 ELLA BLVD · HOUSTON“The maintenance is horrible. It can take weeks before a maintenance order is completed. But, if it has to do with rent, we have to pay a lot extra if we are late on rent but if you are late on maintenance we don't get a discount? That's wrong. And also I've been been late for rent so I expect for a water leak in my bathroom to get fixed immediately. Not 1 whole week later and I still haven't gotten a call back. I've called 3 times. Fix this issue please.”
— 15100 ELLA BLVD · HOUSTON“There has been three Property Management changes since I have been here and you can definitely see the difference in their styles.Maintenance staff is very friendly; the landscaping is well kept; the rent is too high for the area and age of the apartments.”
— 15100 ELLA BLVD · HOUSTON“Management is horrible they don't know how to talk to people. Maintenance doesn't know how to fix things properly and timely. Making staying there difficult we had faulty plumbing for 3 months when we first moved in but because they didn't see water they said it wasn't nothing wrong with it so we had to leave the water down so they could see it and still didn't fix it till the next week cause one person said they fixed it and didnt”
— 15100 ELLA BLVD · HOUSTON“It's a clean, private community. The management is fast to respond to issues and maintenance is also fast to adress all work orders. For the most part everyone living in the community is friendly, helpful, and respectful to one another.”
— 15100 ELLA BLVD · HOUSTON“I have been having problems with my air conditioning since May 2019. Please check my work orders, it will work a week or couple days and then it will be 85 degrees and control set on 65 degrees. The last person came last month told us they had to order a piece and it would take 6 weeks. Management only says it hot outside, but thats an excuse. I know if my rent is late I get charged extra. Other problems don't have enough characterd”
— 15100 ELLA BLVD · HOUSTON“Great Staff, & community property! The community is very quiet, and has a lot of long term residents. The maintenance department could use some help. The units can use some upgrades, like new AC units.”
