“I am completely unsatisfied and displeased with the horrible living conditions in here. The foundation of their units are unstable with cracked walls and ceilings, which is not safe at all. Their building is infested with not only roaches,, but rats. I've seen cat poop in the building's hallway that has sat there for days, weeks, and even months that has yet to be cleaned. Their yard is also filled with poop, that you have to be careful where you step on, because no one is responsible enough to clean up after their pets. One of the worst parts is that you also have to be aware of the safety of your vehicle. Your car window is guaranteed to be broken into at least twice if you stay here. My car was a victim, along with other owner's vehicles. I also had a scary experience when a man tried to pick my door lock at 3:00AM, but not surprisingly I wasn't the only resident affected by this. When I reported it to the office, they did nothing about it and only told me to call the police (which they took hours for them arrive). Speaking of cops, in my experience when I lived here, they have undercover cops twice who were on the lookout for criminal fugitives (who somehow were allowed to live on the property)During their fugitive hunt, these undercover cops had every gun you can think of to find them Also, whenever they try to hire security guards, they don’t last for more than a month, and when they’re supposed to “do their job”, all they do is sit in their car by the mailbox on the phone or sleep doing nothing to assure our safety. They also failed to fix my refrigerator that had been broken for 3months which made all of my groceries spoil, and the worst part was that I was never compensated for the money that was lost or was never even offered and apology. I was forced to store my groceries at other people's apartments until my fridge was fixed, because they simply don’t care, and your well-being is not their priority. Nora, who's the manger, will never return your call and she's also always out the office. Perla, who's a staff member, tries to help but doesn't have Authority so not much gets accomplished .They clearly can't retain their own employees, because there's always a new staff member. They use the same excuses which are that they "don't know what's going on since I'm new "or they're "still in training" and are unable to help you when you're in desperate need. Also, be prepared to not have water service at least 2-3 times per week in this complex either due to a broken water pipe, or the water heater not functioning properly, etc. However, management always blames the city for their water outages instead of doing something to fix the issue. Clearly, this place is horrible! Also, make sure you keep all of your receipts for backup, because their common response will always be that “you never had insurance”. Then they’ll have the audacity to threaten you with a 24 hour lockout notice out of nowhere and it doesn't make sense. Half of these “good” reviews on here are fake!!! Do not be fooled by their fake pictures on their website. They make their building seem as clean and safe as possible but they are false advertising! There's still a whole lot more to be said and that was left out, but I'm sure you now have a good picture of what to expect if you choose to live here. I made the best decision of my life when I moved out. Don’t make the same mistake as me.”

— 11675 W BELLFORT AVE · HOUSTON“I LOVE THE IDLEWOOD PARK APARTMENT BECAUSE OF ALL THE PROFESSIONAL STAFF MEMBERS AND HOW MRS.NORA THE PROPERTY MANAGER GO OUT HER WAY ALL THE TIME TO LISTEN TO ALL THE TENANTS CONCERNS AND SHE IS ALWAYS AVAILABLE TO REACH WHEN STUFF NEED TO BE FIXED.THEIR MAITENANCE CREW ARE ALSO GENEROUS AND COURTEOUS AND PROFESSIONAL WHEN THEY COME TO THE TENANTS UNIT TO REPAIR AND FIXED WHATEVER NEED TO BE FIXED.ALSO THE SECURITY IS A GREAT PRESENCE HERE ON THE PROPERTY TO PROTECT THE TENANTS ALSO.WE HAVE BEEN A RESIDENT HERE FOR ALMOST 8 YEARS AND THE SENIOR CITIZENS LOVE TO CALL IDLEWOOD THEIR HOME FOR MANY YEARS. I GIVE THEM A PERFECT SCORE OF 100% OF 5 STAR PERFORMANCE.COME ENJOY LIFE TRANQUILITY AT IDLEWOOD PARK.”
— 11675 W BELLFORT AVE · HOUSTON“Next time for sure I will keep in mind where I rent This is ridiculous.. Only reason we don't move out is because we don't want a broken lease in our credit.. People think twice about this apartments.. they might look good to your eyes, but this apartments are overpriced to be living around RATS.”
— 11675 W BELLFORT AVE · HOUSTON“I have had a problem with the National Barrow because they messed up & put my name for overdue unpaid balance instead of my father's I've had this problem for going on 3 years and different management managers have came and gone and none of them had not even tried to do anything except for a lady named Amy today the new property manager and she worked on it day one and got it done something I have been asking for 3 years now so definitely I would recommend this place with this manager here”
— 11675 W BELLFORT AVE · HOUSTON“never moove to this one. if you moove. its going to bee your big misteak in your life.”
— 11675 W BELLFORT AVE · HOUSTON“Lived there for 2 plus years. Management is not very responsive to maintenance requests. Never felt very safe in complex. Side gate was always open because spring to gate was broken and when informed the management failed to fix it. Always worried at night about car break ins which happened while I lived there. Also there was a mugging. They never changed the code to enter the complex all the while I lived there. They were fair when I moved out and did not charge me for wear and tear. I do not recommend this complex if you can afford better, but if you are on a budget, then it might be worth it to you because it is probably the best complex in the budget price range in the neighborhood. Nice pool and playground for the kids. No roaches in my unit and quiet neighbors. Parking is an issue because they built car ports, so if you don't want to spend another 30 dollars per month you will probably not be able to park next to your apartment. They do tow if you park in the wrong place so be careful.”
— 11675 W BELLFORT AVE · HOUSTON“DO NOT MOVE HERE! Management is totally incompetent, especially Laura and Nora. I've been here for 8 years and ready to move. They are unresponsive to maintenance issues and have completely ignored numerous simple requests. The only way to get things done is to send requests via certified mail, threaten legal action, or filing a complaint with the health department. the complex is overrun with unsupervised children and lots of people smoking weed outdoors. This place is a slum. Don't be fooled by that they tell when you sign a lease. Nora and Laura are pathological liars.”
— 11675 W BELLFORT AVE · HOUSTON“My friend lives here and the office staff are extremely RUDE ! And mantience does not want to do their job at all. It took my friend having to call the police so they could fix her heater/A/C. I wouldn't recommend these apartments to anyone. Neighborhood isn't all great either a while ago I got my phone snatched right out of my pocket and punched in my face by the Black male. Not safe. Ive only went to visit my friend twice and each time there was numerous amout of police EVERYWHERE I was a bit freaked out.”
— 11675 W BELLFORT AVE · HOUSTON“Worst Apartment That I have ever lived they refused to fix my problem When I moved there the apartment that was infested with bedbugs and their answer was that i had brought those with me and I know for a Fact that it is not true, I didn't even know what bed bugs look like. and The water bill WAS alway HIGH $128.00 per month for a 2 bed and 2 bath that's too way too much. . STAY AWAY FROM THOSE APARTMENTS. They look very nice BUT BELIEVE ME YOU DON'T WANT TO LIVE THERE.”
— 11675 W BELLFORT AVE · HOUSTON“I moved here about a year ago and I honestly love my apt. I am actually really surprised when I read some of the other reviews because my experience here has been totally opposite. I love our pool...so do my friends/family! I never have a problem with parking but im always get home before 11. Anytime I go to the office the ladies are really nice and the maintenance guy carlos always takes care of any issues really fast. I'm really proud to live in these apts, if you take alook at the apts around here these are honestly the nicest ones..they may be alittle more expensive but it's definately worth it. I would definately refer someone to live here!”
— 11675 W BELLFORT AVE · HOUSTON“THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX IS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! I LIVED HERE FOR LESS THAN 25 DAYS, AND HAD TO LEAVE! IT IS ROACH INFESTED, ------, AND THE LEASING STAFF ARE LIARS! I TOLD ---------- THAT I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT TOLERATE ROACHES, AND SHE LEASED ME AN APARTMENT INFESTED WITH THEM. THERE ARE ALWAYS THUGS HANGING OUT ALL OVER THE STAIRS. ONE DAY MY HUSBAND AND I CAME HOME TO FIND A CONTAINER WITH A FEW CHICKEN BONES AND A BISCUIT ON THE STAIRS LEADING TO OUR APARTMENT AND A BEAR CAN IN THE BUSHES. THAT MADE ME UNDERSTAND WHY THE UNIT I WAS LEASED HAD ROACHES. I CALLED ABOUT THE INFESTATION MANY TIMES, BUT THE ISSUE WAS NEVER RESOLVED. PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HERE IF YOU DONT WANT ROACHES TO BE APART OF YOUR IMMEDIATE FAMILY!”
— 11675 W BELLFORT AVE · HOUSTON“This place is ------ 100% I have seen numerous of times cops barricading the complex to remove criminals from this place. It's full of criminals and drug dealers I would not recommend ANYONE to live in this place!”
— 11675 W BELLFORT AVE · HOUSTON“I love this place. I have been here since 2008 and in my opoinon this is the best apartment complex in this area. I like to check the reviews to see what other residents have to say and i find Idlewood comforting. I haven't seen cops busting in the property like someone said or i would of been gone. The office people are really nice and they try to keep it nice here i know some people don't like change. But its sad how some people get mad and wanna say something bad about people just because they dont get thier way. I would reccomened this place to everyone i know because i am happy here.”
— 11675 W BELLFORT AVE · HOUSTON“I have to say I love the Southwest becasue of its diversity. I have lived at Idlewood Park going on 4 years. If there is a maintenance problem it is taken care of as soon as possible. The maintenace personnel does a good job of trying to keep the grounds clean but are we not adults and should be putting trash in the trash cans . We should be making the maintenance personnel jobs easier. There is issues with noise coming from people's cars in the wee hours of the morning. People are sleeping and individuals are sitting in their cars with the music turned up loud. I know the management has no control over who moves in but I am starting to see people that are ------ in mentality and they way how they live. I feel that is ------ to sit on someone's steps. It brings down the value of the apartment and also it could detour new renters from renting the apartments. People should learn to ghave common courtesy for on another would you want someone blaring their music at 3am when you are expected at work on that day or would you want a strange male and female sitting on your steps when you come home from work or etc. No apartment is perfect but these issues could make a person aggravated. Parking is okay. It is a large apartment building. The closer spots are taken quickly. The quality is ggod and the personnel are professional. The lighting is okay.”
— 11675 W BELLFORT AVE · HOUSTON“I have lived at Idlewood Park since Oct 2011 (going on 9 months now). At first I had no complaints.(when it was under the management of Lina and Ismal) They were attentive if I had problems with maintenance, the property was quiet for the most part. It was cool BUT(and thats a big BUT) Idlewood Park is under new management and things have changed drastically! Within the first two weeks of this new "manager" being there my fiances CAR WAS BROKEN INTO and days later my car was KEYED!!!! We will be moving IMMEDIATELY and unless you want your property destroyed or stolen I would stay away at all costs!!!!”
— 11675 W BELLFORT AVE · HOUSTON“I would not recommend this property to anyone that has class and who is civilized. The proper has taken a turn for the worse. My family and I will be leaving after 3 years. People play loud music all the time, day and night. The neighbors hang there clothes out on the patio which makes the property really look bad for what they charge. There are drug dealer, users, prostitutes, drag queens, and bums who visit this property everyday and vandalize the property. There have been several break ins, the Maintenance sucks. The parking is limited, and the drive ways have pot holes all over the property. I have had enough. Unless you are desperate and don't have anywhere else to go, I would not recommend this place.”
— 11675 W BELLFORT AVE · HOUSTON“DO NOT MOVE HERE. We have had no hot running water for the past 11 days and counting. when I talk to the staff about it they are hardly unconcern, because when they leave they can go to there homes/apt off property and take a HOT BATH without having to BOIL WATER. Will not resign a lease. NOT RECOMMENDED.”
— 11675 W BELLFORT AVE · HOUSTON“I had to break my lease and move out of these crummy apartments. These by far are the WORST apartments I have ever lived in. from the time I moved in, I dealt with everything from bed bugs to loud noises to plumbing problems in the wall. Management was very nonchalant about my problems. Upstairs neighbors were always causing problems. My advice??? DO NOT MOVE HERE TO THIS ------ SLUM!!!!!”
— 11675 W BELLFORT AVE · HOUSTON“Guys, Check out www.MyVirtualNeighbor.com started by a resident like us at 3000 sage apartment which is now I heard one of the best places to live as Neighbors connected on this site. i am a resident here like you and thought like them may be we can connect on this site which lets us post, comment, get to know each other, hold happy hours and much more. It was recently mentioned in Forbes Magazine as a site strengthening bonds between us neighbors and making our neighborhood better and safer.”
— 11675 W BELLFORT AVE · HOUSTON“I LIVED IN THE APT.SINCE JUNE 2010 AND ONLY BECAUSE WE NEEDED A PLACE TO STAY AND FAST.I AGREE WITH EVERYONE THAT HAS SAID THAT THE STAFF ARE RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. ONE OF THE LADIES IN THE OFC.(I WONT MENTION ANY NAMES) BUT SHE IS FOR REAL HOOD!!!! AND IF U HAVE BEEN THERE TO VEIW THE PROPERTY THEN U KNOW WHO I AM TALKING ABOUT. AND THE OTHER ONES PLUS MAINTENANCE R SLOUCHY AND DONT KNOW WHAT THEY R DOIN HALF THE TIME. BUT WHEN THEY WANT THAT RENT THEY R FRONT AND CENTER AND QUICK TO SHOW UP AT UR DOOR! SO IF UR LOOKING FOR A PLACE THAT IS PEACEFUL AND THE WORKER R ON THERE A GAME, THEN I WOULDNT SUGGEST THIS PLACE FOR U. IT LOOKS GOOD FROM THE STREET BUT ONCE U SIGN THOSE PAPERS THEN ITS A RAP, U R STUCK IN THAT CONTRACT UNLESS U BAIL OUT ON THEYRE SORRY BEHINDS!”
— 11675 W BELLFORT AVE · HOUSTON“I signed my lease in Oct.2008 and have regreted that decision ever since. First, the qualifications to get into the apt is a bit much to ask for an older complex.(you have to make three times the rent) Second, I've never lived at a complex where they charge you for sewer, gas and trash....... isnt that the responsibility of the property?Let me remind you that the stove is electric so why charge for gas? The office staff are rude and unprofessional and are only concerned about how much money they can suck out of you.If you are even one day late with your rent you will have an eviction notice either on your door or inside you apt. The manager is never around and if she is she is clueless and can never assist you. Instead, she refers you to Lina, the asst mgr. The maintenance workers are really good and do a good job of repairing things and upkeep of the property. I broke my lease in March 2011 and moved to a newer complex that doesnt charge for water, sewer, or trash.Idlewood Park mailed me a letter charging me 845.00 for replacing the carpet. When I originally moved in the carpet was not new and already had stains on it. Also I was charged for decor items in the apartment.(blinds) Trust me, the decor in that apartment was cheap and not worth the money they are trying to charge. Please reconsider if you are planning to move here. And if you live here already........ consider MOVING!!!!!!!”
— 11675 W BELLFORT AVE · HOUSTON“I was gone 4 days a week, had no washer or dryer. Yet my water bill was $45 a month. I saw people all the time washing their cars, filling up water bottles en mass. Since the water is determined by how big your apartment is, you can't win here.”
— 11675 W BELLFORT AVE · HOUSTON“If you want an honest review about these apartments then here it is. Yes, these apartments are what you would consider "------", the enviroment consists of 90% minorities (im not racist just painting a picture, im --------) The whole outter complex looks worn down and its one of those places where people stare you down (i never understood that?) The rates are not bad, the only reason i decided to move here 3 months ago was to save up and then get a nicer place in Sugar Land. I believe safety is the biggest fear here, the meadows police department is all over the place due to this side of town being rougher, but if you think Meadows Police secures you then you need to realize you are considered part of Houston. Meadows police are there to protect their jurisdiction (from the thugs found around here). If you have the money then stay away from a place like this.”
— 11675 W BELLFORT AVE · HOUSTON“This is to let know that I was a resident at this complex and if you are to compare price vs amenities it is very reasonable to say the least. I consider at least in my case that I had an overall good experience at the complex and the personnel was very helpful. Overall facilities well kept compare to the age. Moved out because purchased on property else I will have keep living in the complex specially because it has a lot of good amenities around.”
