I have been a resident here starting in 2005 when the community was built and then returned in 2010. We have had a few different owners so changes are expected, but with this owner most of the people who lived here have to move due to 300 dollar increase for the same space and amenities. Though I understand its a business, its a terrible disruption in our lives. I moved to Houston in 2005 and have never lived anywhere else but on this street, because I felt safe here. Im moving now and it feels forced. There are never parking spots near my apartment anymore due to 3 roommates per apartment and no assigned parking. The peace and safety that kept me here is no longer the same.

These apartments are close to quite a few major highways within Houston and have decent public transportation options nearby. The leasing office staff are incredibly helpful and really go out of their way to make you feel welcome.

Very clean and safe community. The neighborhood is not loud, although the walls are thin so you will hear your direct neighbors from time to time. Overall I am happy here and will consider other cortland locations first if I decide to move.

Living here has been fine. The rent increased significantly since the new management came in. I appreciate the renovations and Im paying for location so theres that. I likely have one more year here because I dont feel like moving.

Overall it is a quiet and comfortable community. However, there are quite a few low-class people that make the place suck sometimes. Pit bulls running loose, extremely loud partying late into the night, marijuana smoke in common areas and creeping into other units (including mine), rude construction workers, and absolutely no option for faster internet than garbage ATT, which is highly limiting if you live far away from the internet cable box outside. Im paying double the price for half the promised speed and the customer service at ATTA is garbage

The area is pretty safe, with the gate I never have to worry about my car getting broken into. There are a number of students who live there as well as young professionals. With the pay for the apartment, the gym and pool are an added bonus. Newly renovated appliances and carpet. The buildings have very thin walls so you can often hear people outside the apartment and your neighbors (but that's every apartment building). For any issues with your apartment you need to go directly to the office and speak with someone who will actually address your problems, don't bother to email or call, go directly in.

I hope the new Cortland management company can improve the office help. Community upgrades are nice but rule enforcement lacks..!! Theft of units and cars is out of control..!! Never used swimming pool to much Loud music and rowdy people.

This community is awesome! When you have issues they really try to resolve them so that we stay happy!!! My family and I feel safe and connected with our neighbors. We have thoroughly enjoyed our residency here!

Amazing community, very clean. Perhaps cameras in the parking area would alleviate concerns of safety. The lights have been a great addition. The pool is amazing, but the are times I am unable to enjoy the pool with the amount of visitors and the environment being brought here of alcohol, smoke, and loud music. It can be intimidating to someone that has kids.
