I actually did not think that I would love my apartment and the staff the way that I do. The complex is actually quite and the outside is kept clean!!! The all the staff (office and maintenance) are wonderful. The ladies in the office are GREAT, especially Crystal!!

I just moved in and I love it. Crystal was perfect and made me feel very welcome. She worked extremely hard and fast at getting me in my new home. The office staff was very helpful and friendly. This is a wonderful place to call home.

Apartment community should upgrade building insulation to assist in noise and heating and cooling costs. The cost for unit does not match the value based on size, maintenance, and convenience conditions. Inflexible manager does not offer alternative living space. Rude leasing agent Nita is burned out and does not like what she does for a living. Parking does not afford multi-car owners to rest easy parking their vehicles as visitor parking is sparse. I moved before 30 day guarantee because I could not bare 13 months of paper thin walls, cramped space, and an odd smell emitting from the carpet. Aside from the hot water issue that was resolved before I moved out. These issues, like clean carpet, hot water that lasts more than 3 minutes, leak from plumbing in wash room area should have been resolved before I moved in. I moved because they did not care enough to resolve the issues beforehand, behaved like I was a bother to report the problems. My life is hectic and I need my home to be on my side (comfortable, even if it is small. Friendly staff. And no worries about if someone has stolen one of my vehicles I have parked two blocks down because I only get one assigned parking space. Also, it smelled like dog and cat urine/feces in my area because owners do not have a specified pet relief area. Animals go to the toilet on the concrete and around resident unit doors. Disgusting.

I have lived here at the Crossings at Jackson Square for nearly two years now, and let me tell you, that should be recommendation enough. Dude. Let me tell you. I have lived in some truly 1920s slum lord apartments during my 12 years here in Houston. I mean. They were some truly ---- apartments (here's looking at you Royale Apartments). One apartment was moldy and smelled like a ghost named Maude lived there with me. (Incidentally, while living in the haunted shack, a huge Sci-Fi type bug crawled up my neck while I showered.) Another apartment had more roaches than China has residents. (This apartment burned down three months after I moved. I m convinced it was the apartment complex itself trying to hide the fact that they had black mold.) So, trust me when I say I know ---- apartments. In order to survive the night (the knowledge that I lived in those apartments made my soul weep on a frequent basis), I used to dream about what life would be like when I finally made it big time (i.e. not working as a broke receptionist). And so I dreamed. I dreamed of high ceilings. Open spaces. Lots of windows. Privacy. Neighbors who didn't wander into my apartment to tell me that their prayers had the power to curse people and they weren't crack whores. I lusted for a dishwasher. I wanted washer and dryer connections. Big bathrooms. Not to be devoured by roaches during the night. The whole works. But it took a while to get there. I had to bounce from slum lord apartment complex to portals of hell apartment complexes. Within the span of two years I moved four times. It seemed like I was constantly putting down money on a new place. Each one shittier than the last. Well, I'm no longer a broke receptionist, and I have finally found a stable home here at The Crossings. Here I get nice spaces and a dishwasher and reserved parking and friendly office staff. (They even gave me a rose and chocolate for Valentine's day. My last apartment complex gave me disease.) So, yeah. I like living here. I like not having to shell out money every few months because I'm so unhappy I have to move. So, you know, give this place a chance. Unless your prayers have the power to curse people and you're crack ----- in denial. In which case don't.
