Such a shame. The apartment complex is in a great location, it's quiet, safe and full of really friendly people....... HOWEVER....... Nothing gets done in a less than timely Manor - if ever - and then it's done in a very poor way. The German roaches love it here as do the stray cats. The pool is conveniently located but when it's open its filthy. No renewal on a lease here and no recommendation....

This place is the best place I have ever lived. There is grass, 2 pools and good neighbors. There are only 2 neighbors who live here that are very noisy but thats pnly at the very end of the apartments.fortunately one of them is going to leave because they had too many complaints. The maintainace is very good and there is a worker who works and live here and he is really nice. And the other message is lying there are not 4 laundry machines there are actually 8. There are never people who break in the house or in their car, no shootings, mostly no noise and this will be the right apartments for you if you want peace and quiet. The rent is cheap 1 bedroom is 450 or 475 and the 2 bedroom is 575. Most of the apartments are tile EVERYWHERE, in the bathroom, bedroom/s, living room, dining room, Everywhere. You wont regret it if you move here.

I have lived at Beechnut Grove for 2 years now and I am about to leave but only because I am looking for a place closer to my work. The neighborhood isnt the greatest and can be a little scary at times but I have always felt pretty secure on the property. One bad thing though is that the security gates are hardly ever shut. The walk-in gate by my unit has been open for a year now, and the parking lot gate is often stuck open. Maintenance is great. He is extremely friendly and everytime I have had to call him for something he ends up fixing whatever else he finds wrong in the apartment too, including light bulbs. If you are on a tight budget and need a place to live at in southwest houston, this really is a decent place. By no means is it anything spectacular but the staff is always friendly and its pretty safe. Definitely not a roach motel like most apartments in this area seem to be. One thing, the laundry facilities are lacking. There are just 4 washers and 4 dryers for the entire complex and I've often had trouble finding an available one. You may want to locate a washateria in the area or be prepared to do laundry at non peak times like during the work week. Also, they seem to break down a lot. I've really enjoyed living here and will be a little sad to leave. HOpe this helps you make a decision!

The only good thing about these apts. is the price. The Houston police are here ever couple of weeks, there's roaches everywhere. The overhang upstairs from my apartment was falling down so they propped it up with a few pieces of wood. The concrete landing on one of the stair cases looks like its about to fall down. There's trash everywhere, if it sprinkles, all the side walks flood. We've lived here almost 2 years and in that time, we've come home to find the kitchen sink has overflowed and there's water everywhere 3 times. I have to get the maintance man to snake my toilet at least once a month if not more. I won't let my kids play at the playground because the swing set looks like its about to fall down.

I have read the other reviews and those people must be VERY picky. We have lived here for over 5yrs and have no problems. Untrue about police being at these apartments all the time. Maybe at that persons apt., everyone looks out for everyone and when you think no one is watching, trust me! they are.. If a person has roaches they need to look at their cleaning habits. I will say when we moved in roaches were all over the apartment but we set off a roach bomb and have NOT had any problems since, and yes it has been 5 years no bugs...This may not be the RITZ Carlton, but it is very quiet and we now have grass due to very large trees being cut down. I have told other people about my apartment complex, but I really don't want any new BAD neighbors. All those people are gone now. Thank God. Safety is no problem here, cosmetics could be better, but quality of living is better than looks. I can rest easy knowing the security guard is on duty at night and if they are not I know my neighbor is watching and knows all going ons.

I would caution anyone against moving here. There complex is littered with trash. Noise from kids and neighbors playing loud stereos are a common occurence. Management continues to raise the rent, but will not make the neccessary repairs to the interior and exterior of the apartments. The rooms and bathrooms are small and not worth the price! The complex continues to go down hill, because they are not selective with the tenents they allow to move in now. The plumbing with toilets and tubs are a constant problem.
