I would first like to say if this is your first apartment it is a reasonable start. My two cars was broken into a total of 4 times. The parking is horrible after 10:00 pm and when you complain to the office about parking they suggest that you park across the street or pay $20 a month for additional parking. When we first moved in the roaches were HORRIBLE the freezer wouldn't work and when maintenance came out to fix the problem it was about 300 roaches frozen inside of freezer...very bad experience!!! But after bombing once the roach problem was gone. Maintenance is really fast and will come out after talking to the office staff. After a couple package theft issues the office keeps all packages and boxes which is a good thing. The walls are paper thin and you are able to hear everything the neighbor is saying and or doing. They will tow residents vehicle!!! The office staff is overall nice and the security sucks but if you can overlook all of those issues then you should be fine. Like I stated before it is a good first apartment and I'm moving out after living here for 1 year and one last good thing very cheap rent good rates for a pretty big spacious apartment

I lived here for about 3 years back in the early 80s just out of college. It was called the Newport then. Lots of single young professionals and great weekend times around the pools. Good quality home and very responsive management. At that time, each unit had its own programmable alarm system. There was no need for security on site and we always felt safe. A bit of a shame to read some of the more recent posts on here as it sounds like things have really deteriorated. I guess I'll never understand what it is about a low income clientele and all the problems that just seem to follow them around wherever they go. Sounds like the property management and maintenance staff don't respect them much either. Sad to see such a beautiful property decline like that.

So I moved here after living at the other complex down the street for a year. Silver Leaf is so much better. I have never had my apartment or car broken into. There is 24 hour security at the property and they respond very quickly when people call them. The maintenance staff has always came the same day I called when I have an issue. The office staff has always been very pleasant to me. I have never had any problems with them. One of the best things about Silver Leaf is parking. It's never a fight to get a spot even at night. It's also covered which is really nice.

First I'm going to start by saying that this place is the worse, when I first rented I went to see my apartment and they painted on top of dead roaches, it was dirty and I didn't liked it at all I went to complain and they told me that since I signed the lease I couldn't change apartments, I told them a bunch of things, then finally the game me a townhome I loved it I was so happy. Two months after my 8 month old daughter was getting bites all over her body, I thought it was mosquito but one day I realized that it wasn't that, I went to the office to let them know and told them I thought I had bed bugs. Well they took like 2 weeks to send someone for an inspection then they found out I did have bed bugs, well they wanted me to just live in there until the people that deal with bed bugs could come to do whatever they had to do, I wasn't comfortable staying in there or sleeping there knowing it was all over the place and matters all over the closest too. Well they fumigated twice and nothing happened my matters was full of bed bugs and all over the place, oh and I forgot to mention I just bought everything new before I moved in there, they wanted me to pay the rent and I wasn't even staying at the townhome because I didn't want my daughter to keep getting bit, we talked to the manager to move in to another apartment and they said that they didn't have any available and they were very rude to us these people are really nice when you first go there after your in there they treat you bad they never listen to you and they take for ever to fix things whenever something breakes, I had to wash all my clothe and and I had to throw away everything I bought new that means everything they didn't want to pay for our things and they didn't do much to help with the problem theres always trash all over the place by the trash this place is really bad the laundry rooms are very dirty and the machines are always broken I don't recommend this place at all.

I moved in to Silverleaf after living next door at Gessner Estates and boy am I glad I walked into the Silverleaf office. I was treated with so much respect and it felt like home to me. Yenitza showed me my new home and I fell in love with it, I moved in as soon as could and be at home ever since. The manager Tammy cared for her residents like if they were family, it was said to see her go but she brought Blanca and she shares the same passion for her residents as Tammy did. I have referred 4 residents to live here and will continue to recommend friends to live here. Blanca and Yenitza are great!

Do not lease!! Keep moving!! I went into this complex thinking that they were reasonable, close to my job, and the office staff was nice. Once the deposit was paid the attitude of the leasing agent BBlanca changed. I was initially to move on the 15th but I had to call Blanca to find out I was approved,I had to call to find out everything! She never called me to let me know anything. A few days before the 15th I had to call Blanca and that is how I learned the apartment was not ready and I could not move in. She then stated that bc she initially said it would be ready by the 15th she would allow for the remainder of the month to be free and the move in would be the 20th. On the 19th I was calling to assure that everything was together. Blanca asked if I had switched my lights over and I stated that I had she informed me that the apartment was not ready and that when it was I would have to pay the prorated rent. So I popped up at the office and asked her about everything she denied everything and when her co worker asked for my file she had not even started the process!! Ridiculous!!

I live here for four years, (way too long). I was the only original resident left. Management changed four times. Repairs went unanswered. Complaints about stoves, refrigerators, etc. being left on patios by maintenance workers were treated as a nuisance rather than a resident concerned about the way the property looked. The manager is rude. The gate never works. Last time I had guests over, they witness men peeing again the fence. They are moving in whomever and whatever. Not a safe complex by any means.

I lived here for 1 year. I never had anyone break into my apartment or vehicle but this apartment is in a bad area, very unsafe. Sometime there will be shooting and people carrying gun around. The gate is always got broken. The interior is nice & roomy for the price. It has large walk-in closet and the rent is cheap. I didnt like the management staff. They can be very rude and ignorant. They do have 24 hrs emergency maintenance. I had to called them one Sunday afternoon (it was summer and I had just moved in) and the maintenance guy came right away. The problem was fixed and I was happy besides that I dont remember having much of the maintenance problem during my stay. It was often noisy. I had to called security officer during the night several times and usually around 12-1 AM. (yes they do have 24 hrs officer on site and they usually come out when I called). Parking was OK for me. They have covered parking for residents for no extra charge but stay pretty full most of the time.
