I moved into the Park at Bellaire Apts. because I was told that you had to be over a certain age and without children. It is a quiet place and that is about the only thing I like about it. However, I was promised a new carpet as the old one has had it and guess what, I was never given a new carpet! Now, I live in a decent apartment with an old stained carpet and it even had bedbugs. Management will not do anything about it. The owner is a Jewish chap so you take it from there. If I could move to a better place I'd do it, but my experience with apartments has always been one with noisy neighbors, thieves and hookers. Who needs that? They say that you will get a 300 dollars deduction in your rent if you refer someone to the apartments and they get approved, but do you think I'm going to refer anybody, no sir. That's a sure way to lose a friend.

In response to the review regarding the 70 year old lady: There was a problem, which involved a change in management companies on July 5, 2011. The previous management company did not take the necessary steps getting the apartment ready for occupancy. She was asked to postpone her move for a week, but she needed to get here and settled as she was starting a job on Monday. Management has been in contact with her and she is extremely nice and pleasant to work with. The idea that she got here with her belongings and was totally unaware of the situation is incorrect. She was notified of the problem before she had her movers start loading her belongings and chose to come on to Houston from the Dallas area, despite not being able to move in on Friday. She stored her furniture and stayed with her daughter, who lives here in Houston. Management has been in touch with her and met her at the property this weekend to get her mail. She was very sweet and understanding. The owner has called her and they have agreed that she will move into her apartment later this week. On a side note, other than this review, you will note that all the other negative reviews are from 2008 and back. They have had problems with insurance from Hurricane Ike damage, but finally received the funds from the insurance company a couple of months ago and have just finished completely replacing the roof and are now remodeling all the units damaged by Ike. There are several very nice units ready for immediate occupancy. You will find that we have great residents, some having lived here for 10-12 years. Park at Bellaire is a very quiet, safe place to live. Read the reviews but, come see it for yourself!

I believe every word you have stated about making this ady homeless.I lived there for a year and was miserable. All this place is interested in is taking your money. The management and maintenance is horrible. Mold is everywhere, nothing works and all of these senior citizens live there who are poor and have nowhere else to go. It is a very sad situation and I believe there are grounds for mistreatment and neglect.

an elderly 70 woman was promised an apartment after putting down a deposit at the Park on Bellaire. This 70 year old woman had her mail forwarded to her new address, put her deposit down four weeks prior to move in date. This 70 year woman was approved and told when her move in date was. She was due to move 7/8/11, had already scheduled movers on 7/8/11, terminated her job in Dallas , her move out date of her apartment in Dallas was on7/8/11 and, again, her move in date for new apartment at Park at Bellaire apartments was 7/8/11. She called the Park at Bellaire on 7/7/11 to make arrangements to pick up her key for her new apartment. The Park of Bellaire stated they didn't have her a place ready and couldn't give her date when one would be ready. This 70 year old woman now had no place to go as the movers loaded her furniture for the move to Houston. The Parks of Belllaire could care less the hell they put this elderly woman through. They were absolutely stoic in emotions, didn't offer to make arrangements, nor any apologies, kept her money and basically told her to "hit the road". This poor woman was stranded in Houston after spending thousands of dollars with a truck load of furniture and movers waiting impatiently to unload their load. How can an apartment complex that is suppose to offer seniors a home take a 70 year old woman's money, promise her an apartment several weeks in advance, and on move in date state " we don't have any place for you?" and shut their door on a elderly woman who is basically stranded in their parking lot with all of her belongings sitting in a moving truck with no place to go? They didn't lift one finger to help this lady they promised an apartment to and to top things off they kept her deposit. Currently I rescued this lady left homeless in the parking lot of the Park of Bellaire apartment moved her belongings into a storage facility and offered her a place to stay until she can find her a new place. this has been one of the most traumatic experiences this lady has ever had to go through all perpetrated by the coldness and callousness of the mgmt team at the Park of Bellaire. i am a mission to cause this apartment complex as much bad publicity for making promises and not full filling their promises, taking money and failing to give it back and for causing this 70 year old woman to become homeless. I have never seen people who can be so cruel and heartless to an elderly woman. SHAME ON YOU PARKS OF BELLAIRE.
