The more diabolical and bad BUILDING APARTMENT COMPLEX IN THE WHOLE WORLD THRY DONT SHOW RESPECT FIR AMERICANS DISABLES PEOPLES IN NEED LIKE NE AND MY OLD ELDERLY MOTHER MGOD HAVE MERCY OF US WE ARE HELPLESS IN THAT CRUEL MAN NAMED JORGE WHO IS THE OFICE MANAGER OF VILLAGE OF FONDREN APT S

My name is Malcolm and I live in 9D. I have been here a while since the last ownership. I pay my rent and treat the property and management with the same respect I want afforded to my family and property. I have had minimal issues in 7 years. The complex is old construction. they do their best to keep it safe and comfortable. bad tenants are evicted! KUDOS!!! this is a great place if you want an affordable family community to live in!!! We are finally purchasing a house so it is with fund memories I prepare to vacate my unit. I highly recommend this place if you are family type and want a safe place to live. Thanks Sagrario!!! Inez and Chris also; and the maintenance guys and cleaning ladies. I know you try your best. Keep your head high knowing that some of us appreciate what you try to accomplish at VOF.

I live in this apartments and recently the has been too many problems with the wrecker service. I git my car towed from infront of my garage door in seconds, I forgot something in my apartment and when back down to leave my vehicle wasen't their no more. They're several other cars parked outside of their garages, and it just so happens that when I forget something and run up quick to get it, my car gets towed. The maintnance is very bad, if you call and report something to get it fixed, you're going to wait for atleast a week or 2. Whenever you get, and if they come and try to fix your stuff, the maintnance staff is very disrespectful. The apartment are not recommendable, the manager is never in the office, that's if the office is open, because it never is either, and when the manager is in the office she is very rude and unpolite. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE APARTMENTS.

Lets just start is mainly a low income and housing are sold and DID outside in front of kids. stray dogs and cats roam the property. maintenance never responds. the office is never open. the gate is never working. family friend block parking making it difficult to dont work so when i leave for work all the drug dealers are outside smoking and listening to music. not to mention just yesterday was a full SHOOTOUT. I THOUGHT IT WAS FIREWORKS SINCE IT WAS THE DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS, SO I LOOKED OUTSIDE....I HAD TO RUN IN MY KIDS ROOM AND FORCE THEM ON THE FLOOR OF THEIR CLOSET (6 AND 3 YR OLD)....I SAW ALL TYPES OF GUNS. INCLUDING ONE IN PARTICULAR....AN AK........SEVERAL INDIVIDUALS WAS SHOT, ONE OF THE SHOOTERS DONT EVEN LIVE ON THE PROPERTY BUT HIS FAMILY DOES AND IS THERE EVERYDAY TAKING UP PARKING SPOTS. I HAVE COMPLAINED TO THE OFFICE AND NEVER HEARD ANYTHING. I AM CONSTANTLY CALLING POLICE BECAUSE OF ALL OUT STREET BRAWLS THAT OCCUR IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PARKING LOT DAILY. ITS TRASHY, NO LAUNDRY FACILITY ON SITE. KIDS RUNNING AROUND ALL DAY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD, PEOPLE PLAYING MUSIC ALL NIGHT, CURSING, DRINKING AND SMOKING AND GAMBLING. WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER HEARD OF LET ALONE LIVED. IM BREAKING MY LEASE TO GET THE HELL OUT. IM PROBABLY ONE OF THE FEW PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY EVEN WORK AND PAY MY OWN RENT AND BILLS. TRAGIC!!! HORROR AND NIGHTMARE ON VILLAGE OF FONDREN STREET. THAT LOW AMOUNT OF RENT I PAY AND SPACE ISNT WORTH MY SANITY, SAFETY, AND LIFE. DO NOT EVER MOVE HERE.........UNLESS YOU'RE ON HOUSING AND FIT RIGHT IN

These are the worst apartments ever..I've been here 2 years an this is the worst I've ever seen in a apartment complex.. 1st maintenance is the worst.. if it breaks be prepared to do it yourself or wait 2 to 3 weeks for them to do it.. There's break ins into cars more than a couple an when you tell the owner it's like talking to a brick wall..the owner does not have any respect for anybody...but out of everything the worst is the parking..if you decide to move here don't pay for the reserve parking it's basically free he charges you 25 dollars to rent one but nobody cares about his rules because when you complain he does absolutely nothing.. I've seen people fight behind this to the point had comes..the cops are here regularly.. an when you move in bring a lot of roach spray an pest control chemicals because you'll be living with tons of roaches...consider yourself advised!!!!

when we first moved here in 2013 it was good. we had parking almost anywhere there maintaince hasnt always been the best but they try(i guess)...now its oct.13.2015 and i cant wait to get out of here...the "owner"guillermo is the worse ever!!!!!!! the people that actually pay for parking almost always have to tell people to not park in there spot....the gate almost never works so theres always a line.they have been peoples cars broken into and when you tell the "owner" he brushes it off..it is filled with roaches,when you tell the "owner"he buys the dollar stores roach bombs an calls that extermination!!!!!! we actually are never late on rent an still get treated with no kind of respect..the owner doesnt set rules people park on the fire line and when you tell him something he tells you to handle it... i have rented many places an have never in my life ran into something like this!!!!! if you even think about moving here i recommend YOU DONT!!!!!!! slowly he is kicking all ------ out and only renting to ---------. i told a friend of mine to come when we first moved here that theres was 3 apt avalible when she came he told here there werent any open.. i clearly spoke to the maintaince and asked them if they were open and they both told me the same thing YES!! think twice before moving here god bless

From the outside may look nice. When i moved in the apt was missing blinds to the balcony door, the whole apt stank, the AC vents were and still broken despite i turned in the damage report sheet they gave me upon signing the contract, there are kids ruining outside all the time. Somebody tried to stole my friend's car a while back and despite the cameras been installed and recording there was no answer from the management office( per her ). There no good sealing for the AC or heater so be prepared to pay a good electric bill. PPL park everywhere and you have to ask them to move out of your spot and the management won't do anything about it. Also if you live downstairs be prepare to be up with your neighbors since the complex is so old that you can hear the voices of your neighbors from your apt through the walls so forget about privacy and quietness. Imagine if you work night shift you will have to adapt to your neighbors schedule since while they are up you will be as well. public transportation is close by, i don't know if that is good or bad. Sometimes i wake up in the morning and find my front door with trash bags that ppl just leave everywhere.( i don't pick it up)

Great place to live if you like bed bugs, roaches, people taking your assigned parking space or blocking you in, noise and kids playing in front of the gate when you are clearly trying to get into the property. 'Management' and I use that term lightly and with much sarcasm doesn't fix anything and if they do they will half---- fix it. When I moved in I thought this place was heaven-sent. Almost a year and a half later I realize this place is hell. Moving asap!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me and my husband have lived here for half a year. The apartments are not fancy but we were mainly looking for safety, good parking and space. Big apartment of 2 bedrooms, 2 bath, washer and dryer connections, private garage, gated community that requires a code and safe so far. We haven't heard of any issues, kids are playing all the time until late hours. We rented an extra parking space, and the first few days people were still parking at our space. So I ended up talking to my neighbors to let them know not to park there! One time I told the manager about it and he called the tow truck to come pick up the car that parked in my space. And then, they stopped parking in my space. So we have a private garage and two extra parking spaces. Each resident has their own gate code. So that's good. I barely see roaches in my unit. I keep it clean and have roach traps all over the place. I see one or two dead ones every one or two months. Grounds are clean. Maintenance is okay. We love our apartment.

The property is not perfect. The new management has been making improvements and it's looking much better. The main attraction is that it's very safe with cameras all over the property and an electronic gate. Big apartment with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathroom and my private garage.
