since the take over of the apartments by new management there have been several unreasonable changes. the first change is to the laundry room where they have no put hours of operation whereas with previous management the laundry room was accessible 24 hours because of the tenants in the complex who work late or overnight. Second is a harassment by management. I witnessed a tenant who was apparently behind 2k in rent whereas i had a small balance and was threatened to be evicted if payment was not made. the new management is very rude and very unprofessional. They do not treat the black tenants as fair as the other minority tenants. There is music being blasted at 4:30am by tenants and their guests who pull into the gates and park in the parking lots. They also gave no notice of construction or tree work to be done in the early hours of the morning when tenants are still sleeping. They have been doing work the week of 02/14- current starting as early as 6:45am and lasting until 7-8pm in the evening. They do not want to repair any of the things that have been reported to be fixed such as my roof, or in my bathroom, or the mold growing around my air conditioner vent inside my apartment. They have not done any pest control inside the apartments and now i have roaches and rats due to holes that were previously left uncovered.

HORRIBLE staff. DO NOT LET THE STAFF MESS WITH YOU. THEY WILL. AC went out 3 TIMES in 10 months(summertime In Houston). We would call and they wouldn't even put a work order in half the time. One time the AC went out and it took them 3 days to get a work order put in..nobody seemed interested. This was Tuesday....Fridays comes around and I call to see if they are coming to give us a replacement AC or come and fix it because it's 100 DEGREES OUTSIDE!!! MUY CALIENTE!!! and they tell me "we will try our best to get someone out there, but we aren't 100% sure they will make it before 5 and they will be gone all weekend"......ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!?! ITS 100+ DEGREES EVERYDAY AND WE PAY ALOT OF MONEY FOR THIS. The heat can be dangerous and they did not care AT ALL. Then I told them I was going to get ahold of the co signer( who is mid 40's, teacher for 25 years, respect) and they got scared and immediately said "Sorry about that, someone should be there in 25 mins" and they fixed it just like that DO NOT MOVE HERE... But if you do, don't let the Staff mess with you. Stay on them , keep calling , go in person to get them off there computer and actually us. PS: Gate Key is $50.......but the gate always breaks because the Alora is no bueno, so the code is 4567 GATE CODE 4567 GATE CODE 4567 GATE CODE 4567 GATE CODE 4567 GATE CODE 4567 GATE CODE 4567 Save your money. The Alora < *Ive seen staff smoke cigarettes IN THE MAIN OFFICE!!! UNPROFESSIONAL. No Bueno mhmm can you guys understand that????!!! Can you understand English now?????

When I moved to Houston a little over a year ago and I was looking for an apartment that was within my price range and a location near my job. This place offered me a great special to move in and the staff was nice. The management office is always available even the manager. Overall my experience was good and was sad that I had to move due to my relocation of job. I do recommend it to anyone who is looking to move in this area and affordable pricing.

The rodent and roach problem is terrible when we first moved here we didn't see any until a few months later now they're EVERYWHERE literally.Pest control came out more than a few times but it's never any difference. And we just started seeing mice a couple months ago and they won't go away i caught a couple but they just keep coming but i wouldn't recommend nobody to move here.

It's disgusting. I've had a slew of problems, (seek google to see other incidents) woke up today after trying to sleep through the all night rager. On my way out it looks like a frat party happened. In front of my house alone I picked up more than 10 cans of beer, a baggy which most definitely contained cocaine, and tons of garbage. That's just in front of my home. I wouldn't have cleaned it, however the apartment management has a way of trying to kick people out and due to this amount of garbage being in front apartments. I picked it up thourogly taking pictures to add to my stack of other incidents. Tried calling the apartment staff 10 times about the situation to no avail. (Luckily my boss is kind enough to let me use her lawyers if need be) I've lived everywhere in this city, and this apartment by far is the worse. I've had problems with bed bugs (as has the entire block, taken thousands of pictures of discarded furniture), even had a gaping ceiling hole in my bathroom which took 3 months to fix. It's insane the amount of negligence that happens here. Extremely glad that my lease ends in a few weeks. I say stay away, I promise there are far better communities. No one should have to live this way.

I'll try to keep it short and sweet with a simple pro and cons concept. Let's begin with the pros 1. Great Location- for somebody like myself making btw 35-45k a yr I can't go wrong living here. Everything social gathering related is literally 5 miles away either on westimer or Richmond. To the galleria, prospect park, diablos, strip club, everything. Even the groceries store like heb, kroger's, and walmart are super close. Unfortunately the pros stop there and now the cons. 1. Odor- I can only speak my for apt but every time I come back from anywhere that same apt smell would just hit me at the door. Literally tried every air freshener known to man and that damn smell still would go away. 2. Unwanted pets- Yes it's true, THESE APTS HAVE ROACHES,RATS, and my personal favorite BED BUGS. We I first moved in the roaches were endless. But if you call the exterminator they will eventually seize. The rats were random, only killed 4 my entire stay but that's 4 too many. The biggest problem you will have is the beg bugs, they never go away. Your gonna have to wash your sheets no less than every 2 wks. Literally had a female over and same this " I can't get comfortable feels like something biting me" smh 3. Parking- Your guest or better yet maybe even you will get towed at least once. These managers are so inconsistent with rules it's ridiculous. First you can't park near leasing office, then it's not on the, next it's only in the back. Best bet is to buy two parking passes just in case. 4. Management- If you signed your lease in Feb and by July there's a whole new staff; that's a clear example of much these idiots love their job. Overall if you're just starting off like I was it's best to stick it out and save you some money so can live "comfortably" elsewhere, but if you're in dere need of a home and can handle these conditions then the best of luck to you.
