I m a father of two boys; a single-divorced parent with no work. I moved in this apartment at the end of May this year. I think, it was August or September when my SUV got broken into but there were no damage to the car; some items and money were stolen by the perpetrator. I did reported it to the management office but there was nothing they can do about it. Then lately, my apartment was robbed while I was away. I just noticed it when I went to my closet and check for something. Prior to this, I had a battery/bulb changed work. The first time was fast and easy tasked and I even commended the work of the staff which I also gave them permission to come in without my presence. Second and third work was the same that it had happened but, this time I have some items that were missing. There was no force of entry. The thief stole my precious thick blanket that was purchased from Iraq (it was a gift for my mother), a jacket, adult s clothing, children s clothing, camping gear back, towels, laundry baskets, hang ers, and etc. I would think that this kind of agenda was done by an inside job because, there was no force of entry. They used a key to enter the front door or probably it was done while doing some maintenance work inside the apartment. The first work probably is to observe of what you have inside the apartment; they are free to roam every corner of the apartment because there is no presence of the residence itself. The second time or third work would be the time to strike since you trust them to work and give them the permission to work without your presence; that was my own mistake the next time if I have a work that needs to be done by them (the management office) I will make sure that I am present all the time to supervise their work and to ensure the work is done completely. Right now, I just don't TRUST ANYONE. It was my lesson learned, no matter how nice the staff or how good they are.. just don t trust no one. I could have write a good review if this thing did not happened to me...and I only lived here for 6 months and plus days.

I signed a lease in May, 2013. Nov. 4. 2013 I received a bill for approximately $150. Upon investigation, I was being charged a higher monthly rental and my monthly utilities were being used against this higher rent. I have spoken with other residents who experienced the same treatment from management. In addition, I had to wait over one month to get my washing machine repaired when it stopped working. First, the laundry was too small to work on it, then maintenance needed more room in the bedroom. followed with the realization that it was too large to get through the doors, and a request to move most of the living room/dining room furniture. It was finally repaired by a contractor. Furthermore, this past summer my air conditioning unit needed to be replaced. I was having over $300/month electric bills and took a copy of last year versus current year electricity usage to the manager. Nothing was done until my air conditioner was completely useless and it was 91 degrees in my apartment.

I'm currently living here and have been since Aug 2012. Upon moving in, we needed to move in sooner than we thought and the owner let us do so even though the apt clearly wasn't ready. We don't have a problem with parking as we have one assigned covered parking inside the gates and are free to park outside the gate with numerous spots available so long as we have a parking sticker. Our apartment is right behind the strip club centerfolds and occasionally on the wknds it tends to get a bit noisy with traffic but gets drowned out by the tv. Complex grounds are always clean, they are quick to tow anyone without a sticker, maintenance is quick and oddly the pool is never dirty as I walk by it everyday to walk my dog. Property owner has been pretty lenient with us paying rent on the 2nd or 3rd and on occasion we have gone past that but only made us pay a late fee of $50 once. Last week we didn't have hot water for 4 days which normally I would be pissed and trust me I would have been quick to raise hell but with it being so hot outside a cold shower wasn't so bad. On the other hand, last Monday our AC went out!!! It didn't get fixed until this past Sat. They told us they had to order a new part, came by to see whats going on and I kind of felt like we got the run around but finally they came by to fix it on Sat. The reason why I didn't raise hell and turn into a raging B is because we adopted a cat after moving in without telling her and she found out so now we have to pay a $400 pet deposit but she's allowing us to split the payment and is also pretty cool about when its due. Other complexes would make you pay right then and there or get rid of the pet. One thing...I'm watching our family dog for a few wks and she thought I was trying to sneak him around so she told my boyfriend that she didnt appreciate us doing that when I just got off the phone w/her and told her the situation. not a big deal. Overall I would recommend this place. I don't interact with the propert owner very much but the times Ive needed to she's been professional. There is an answering service if you call after business hours which they relay the message to her. Lastly, the office girls she has sometimes don't seem to be too knowledgable.

Management sucks and if you like bugs and no respect on maintenance requests, then go for it. There are hidden costs too, like trash fees etc that are not made known up front. Rude rude rude management. The gates are never locked!

I am against writing anything negative about an apartment manager because if you do not have anything nice to say, then do not say anything at all. The only one bit of knowledge of warning I could share with anyone deciding to move into this complex is the simple words from a Temptations song called "Smiling Faces". A song that is so simple and yet so true and complex enough that could change your life if you listen to the lyrics and heed the knowledge they are trying to convey to all of us. Smiling faces sometimes pretend to be your friend. Smiling faces show no traces of the evil that lurks within. They don't tell the truth. Beware, beware of the handshake That hides the snake Beware, beware of the handshake That hides the snake Jealousy (jealousy) Misery (misery) Envy I tell you, you can't see behind smiling faces Smiling faces sometimes they don't tell the truth After this, just beware of what you are getting into and if something should go wrong, you will be left hanging at the alter and left with a black widow that has only been waiting for her victims that she knew she would be able to attack and then evict. I once even heard her tell one of her new office staff that come and go, come with me Lisa, I want you to watch how it feels to evict a tenant. She had just sucked in another victim and she was in her realm. Leanna Laster loves to evict tenants I think better than renting to them. However, there are exceptional cases when there are tenants that fall into the low income bracket and she gets pay off from the government or if a tenant is Hepatitis C Active and has Active Aids and cannot evict this tenant. Also, Leanna givs special rules to people such as this and allows them to pay rent weekly and they are over $2,000.00 in arrears in rent but do not let another tenant be in trouble with being out of a job and they will be evicted in one month. But, if you have AIDS and HEP C, you can pay by the week and be in arrears and you will be protected by the law and by Leanna Laster. One tenant lets her dog just use the apartment for a bathroom instead of walking the dog because most of the time she is too drunk to walk the dog. I have so much on this apartment and picturs to and she thinks she has something on me. Oh my,my,my!!!

So, after living here almost 10 months, I'm sad to say that I don't think I'd recommend this place. It's really for one simple reason - NO ONE IS EVER IN THE OFFICE. It's very frustrating when there isn't anyone there and you have a question that only they can answer or have to pick up mail that if they had been there, they could have been given it for me to pick up later, instead of going to the post office and waiting in line. The maintenance is fine, parking is fine, and even the neighbors, though some seem shady, are fine. The apartments themselves are kind of old yes, but they are well maintained. It has nothing to do with that. It's the fact that they are NEVER in the office. Seriously. They aren't. The hours are from 12-6 Mon-Friday and they are there maybe once or twice a week, if not that, and they usually aren't there the whole work hours. What's sad is that the few times they are in the office, they're very friendly. Whether it's the landlord or the receptionist, both are friendly as can be. I really wanted to like this place, but the only thing preventing me from giving this place a yes, and renewing my lease, is the fact that nobody is ever in the office.
