I loved living at 2121 midlane. The only reason I left is because I was moving to chicago. Camille and everyone are sweethearts and make you feel like you are right at home. the amenities are spectacular and the pool in the summer time is the place to be. Food trucks and get togethers everyweek, It is a great place to make friends. Location is prime, I honestly cant say enough good things about Midlane!

So far so good! I have enjoyed the gym, game room, internet/coffee cafe, pool and grilling areas. The leasing staff is the best, especially Lisa! The property is well kept & the maintenance staff are prompt. And I love all the shopping, bars and restaurants within walking distance. Plus I have a great view!

Been living here a short amount of time of all the issues this one should be disclosed to potential renters. I've learned the 50 gallon water heater is only able to provide enough hot water for about a 13 minute shower. Their maintenance supervisor was nice enough to inform me that this problem is property wide and there is nothing they can do about it. Beware if you are looking for a 2-bedroom apartment as he also said the problem is worse for 2 bedroom apartments. He recommends not using any water including for washing dishes, clothes, or brushing your teeth before taking a shower. However I have done this just to get those 13 minutes of warm shower water. Otherwise, you'd be lucky to get 10 minutes. Just sharing because I only wish someone would have informed me beforehand. I have never had any such limitation in any apartment I've ever lived in.

I moved in labor day weekend 2016 and it is February 2017 now, during this time there have been floods on the 5th floor then later flooding on the 4th floor, the trash shoot has been on fire and the fire department was called, the units have been broken into. The front door seems to never work and people come in and out all the time that don't live there. NOT SAVE AT ALL. There are SCREAMING KIDS down the hall from me that I have to complain about all the time. I'm not even sure the leasing office cares. The staff in the leasing office has changed 3 times already. Oh, and the walls are very thin you hear everything. During this past week, I have not had hot water because of a bad water heater in my unit. I requested a reduced rent for a week and they declined. I really want to break my lease. I would NOT recommend this complex to anyone.

Run, run far far away. Poorly built and maintained complex. Gates are constantly broken so anyone can just walk right in, big issues with crime here. They will say they are working on issues you are having in your unit but never fix or replace anything. Hallways are littered with trash and stairways smell like dog urine half the time, you may also run into dog feces on the stairways so make sure to look down. I could go on and on about this "luxury apartment" but the short version would be to stay far far away. Also, the funny thing is I see Margie posting here on all of the reviews to contact her. When I had issues at the community I spoke to her over the phone and email and then she refused to respond to any of my email or phone calls after that....they're just trying to save face in regards to prospective residents reading reviews. They honestly could care less about you if you have already signed a lease.

I would not recommend this community at all. 1. Gates and elevators are constantly broken. At minimum once a month the elevators are out of service. The gates seem to be down once every week or so. 2. Poor construction. You can hear your neighbors constantly. 3. There is a train behind the community you can hear at all times of the night and day. They say the train does not blow its horn but that is untrue as I have heard it several times. The noise is so bad if you live on the far end where the building backs up to the train tracks, the train sounds like it is in you living room. Luckily for me I live in the front of the building, but I still heard the train. 4. Crime. There were 2 robberies in a 2 week period at this community. There is an on-site officer but he doesn't seem to do much. The most I have seen him do is walk around in his uniform at 10pm when the pool closes checking out the community...other than that, he seems to be useless. 5. The community is kept very unclean at times. The smell of urine, feces and trash is a common occurrence. 6. Noise. The halls are very loud and you can hear people yelling in the halls at all hours of the night....since the hall echoes this sound runs through the entire building. With all the new units popping up, there are way too many options available to lease here. Do not be fooled by the sales pitch, this place is very disappointing for the price you pay. The only thing this community has going for it is the location.

My experience with 2121 has been amazing! I honestly couldn't say enough good things about the community and staff! I have lived here for two years and LOVE it! My maintenance requests have been completed within 24 hours. The staff is very friendly. They are constantly updating the community areas and host events monthly. I have lived in quite a few complexes in this area and 2121 exceeds my expectations!

I have lived on this property for 2 years and I must say I am beyond impressed with the constant upgrades and improvements being made to this property. The neighborhood is incredible with the River Oaks district so close. The pool is fantastic. The new package system is working very well (I was skeptical at first). The maintenance staff are a great group of hardworking professionals. The propert manager is truly one of the best in city. Prior to her arrival I was looking to move but she has turned this place around. If you are looking for an affordable place in River Oaks this is a hidden gem. Other properties have door guys and may offer a few different ammenties but you will pay a premium for those in my opinion this is the best bang for your buck. I have read a few other review clearly written by angry residents that I'm sure had unrealistic expectations that have given a false sense of what it's like to live at 2121. Go take a tour you won't be disappointed.

I didn't like this place. It is very old compared to a lot of places in Houston and you can get a much better deal if you look around. I have been searching for an apartment in Houston and took the tour and it did seem noisy and dirty like some people said. At the pool there was one big group of people being very noisy when I walked through and the leasing agent seemed embarrassed. Not a good vibe so I am looking elsewhere.

Do not live here. It is noisy and dirty and the assistant manager will hang up you if you are lucky enough to get her on the phone. Safety is also an issue.
