I WENT TO RENT A APARTMENT AND THEY WANTED 2 MONEY ORDERS 1 FOR THE APPLICATION FEE AND 1 FOR THE DEPOSIT FEE (WILL BE RETURNED IF NOT APPROVED) I WAS NOT APPROVED AND ALISE CALLED AND SAID I WILL NOT GET MY DEPOSIT (200.00) BACK BECAUSE I HAD A BROKEN LEASE. NOBODY INFORMED ME OF THAT BEFORE AND THE PAPER WORK I SIGNED DID NOT SPECIFY ANYTHING ABOUT A BROKEN LEASE. LONG STORY SHORT I HAVE TO SUE THEM TO GET MY MONEY BACK.

the best property on Fondren, great staff, since I moved in, they had a Mardi Gras event, ice cream party, easter event, car show, swimming lessons for the kids, breakfast for the tenants, good place to live. this is a nice place with good maintenance .'

I've been here with my three children for almost 2 years and never had a problem. Ms. Jenny is the sweetest and very understanding. If your looking for a place to raise your children they also have after school programs for the children !

DO NOT RENT HERE. ... THE ROACHES ARE RIDICULOUS. WE GO WITHOUT HOT WATER DAMN NEAR EVERY MONTH. THE OFFICE STAFF IS VERY NONCHALANT. WE ARE TAKING COLD SHOWERS FOR ALMOST A WEEK NOW. SOMETIMES WITHOUT NOTICE. PLS RUN AWAY.....

Brookbend is probably the best maintained complex in the general vacinity. Staff is cordial and professional. Be mindfull of the lease agreement for it is strictly enforced, do not be late or you will pay penalties !!!! The maintenance dept. responds fairly promptly and then the maintenance dept. e-mails you to make sure things were fixed. No roach problem, I may see one in a month or got to let the exterminator in to do his job. A little more exterior lighting would be helpfull. David Cobb

Honestly when you come on fondren looking for apartments to rent you have a large choice to pick from but if you take the time to stop and personally view and walk around each apartment complex in a three mile radius you will find that the book is not the story you thought, all of them have issues with keeping up the complexes clean and in order, people in and out sitting outside in groups smoking weed or drinking for everyone to view, drug addicts consistently in and out the complexes to get there next, fix pools dirty to the point staff no longer clean them because of there lack of controlling who comes to there properties to swim and that's just the half of all the problems that these complexes have. Now when it comes to the the Brookbend Apartments all I can say is this...1) the manger and staff in the office are great and very professional, they stick there necks out to help the tendents on the properties and treats everyone with respect. If you come to the with a issue maturely and honestly they will give help you and be supportive of solving the problem..you come to them being ignorant and ------ you they will deal with you accordingly base off your professionalism....2) there maintenance staff are the best in Houston for a small complex they bust there butts everyday keeping the grounds clean and landscaping looking like a rainforest and keep the pool very clean regardless of the season and weather ..you need something fix take the time to call the 24 hour maintenance number so they can take care of the issues if you choose to go in the office and constantly complain you get nowhere call the number its common sense...3) I noticed some people are saying there are Roach's in there apartments ...ok this is how this works...when people move in they bring the roaches with them in there property ..if you just moved in and you know you don't have roaches and you see them its not the staff our mantaince fault who ever moved out had them . now this is how you truly solve the issue and understand the office can come have someone spray which isn't a problem but roaches get in walls, behind the sink pipes in the draft shafts in the walls and they travel unit to unit through the walls and out thought the back of you kitchen pipes in the walls and draft shaft where the air conditioning closet is ..so all you gotta do is spend 10 bucks at the store on the roach bait gel in a tube and squeeze it in all areas in the kitchen corner cabnits and behind the baseboards and in the draft shaft and watch them dissapear ..they love the stuff eat it take it back to the rest in the walls and die the hell off in 48 house..I know had the problem and worked great for me..4) this complex is very secure and safe..one way in one way out..satilite hpd cameras in all sectors of the parking lots as well as patrols nightly on the grounds by officers under contract through Brookbend ...5 the staff in the office goes out there way to throw gatherings and parties for the kids and neighbors so everyone can learn who's in the complex its called working together to keep or homes safe ...also you tell me what other apartment complex will offer you a biweekly rent payment plan if your struggling to get situated..ok yes it cost a extra 30 a month to join but paying 325 every two weeks out your checks or income is helping those that are trying to catch up to there bills or fell behind...brook bend is a great place to live, quiet, clean, it even got a mascot cat cop that patrols the court yards and is always watching..lol but say what you want I've been here for 6 months and I see whats real and not..no complex is perfect but brookbend and its staff goes out there way to make you comfortable, safe, and homes in compliance.. My opinion, my facts, my thoughts ..
