The bad: A bit of a walk to the el. If you want to use the pool, they require you to buy a membership and it is not cheap - $95 for the 2013 summer and guest passes are $3 on weekdays, $5 on weekends/holidays. Management company consists of the least accommodating and inconsiderate staff. I have never seen such disregard for personal situations and inflexibility. Dealing with them is reason enough to not live here.”
— 555 W Cornelia Ave · Chicago“Disintegrating building suffering from 20 years of neglected long term improvements. Arrogant board of directors hell bent on re-building the place with no taste level at the expense of current owners. Despite mortgage requirements, building is 75% RENTER occupied. Board allows outside pool memberships that over run the place with screaming children that destroy the pool deck, and turned it into a city day care center. No wonder property values are down 60% in the last 5 years. Stay away from this dump and it's arrogant staff.”
— 555 W Cornelia Ave · Chicago“This is a condo building but some units are rented out by the owners. Lived here for the past 3 years, but I am moving to be closer to work. The building itself is a good place to live, people are a mixed aged group. Neighborhood is very clean and generally safe. Building maintenance/garage staff are very good, but the onsite manager has changed 3 times since I have been here...and they screw up paperwork a lot. South facing high floor units have excellent city views. Pool is nice, well maintained, but has membership due to hired lifeguards. Bike room nice but you have to pay an annual fee. Laundry room has all new washers/dryers (2005) and is reasonably priced. In building rented garage is reasonably priced for the area but has un-assigned double-deep spots which requires an 24hr garage attendent...sometimes you have to wait a few minutes to get your car. Worst thing in the building is the elevators which are in terrible shape but are getting replace sometime in late 06 or 07. I would love to stay here if my apartment was slightly bigger and closer to my work.”

— 555 W Cornelia Ave · Chicago“I have lived in the building for over 12 years. Great Neighbors, wonderful pool, excellent building manager Michelle, top building engineer Gzim, newly deocorated hallways, updated laundry room, heated gurage, the managment company is the best in the city.<br>The units are solid, no noise, great balconies. It is an oasis and my home for life.”
