“solid building. All utilities are included in the rent. All floors were re-habbed. They put their money into what counts: new kitchens, fresh carpet & paint, new windows, new mailboxes. Many other buildings do the opposite.. nice lobby but crappy apartments. They recently put in a new laundry room as well. First glance of this Alat building leaves a lot to be desired... it's right on the redline, the neighborhood can be sketchy at times, the public spaces need updating, BUT, I still think this is the best value. If something ever needs to be fixed, It's fixed right away. There's always someone there to sign for a package. this place is family owned, and they live across the street. They own five buildings in the neighborhood. If you are a light sleeper, be sure to get an Alat in the front of the building as the train can be loud. Also if you like a lot of heat in your Alat, choose one on the higher floors. The units are quite small-- all are studios. Having said that, they make good use of all available space in the apartments-- plenty of shelving everywhere. If these apartments are too small, they have other buildings on the same block with larger units.”

There's constant noise and the construction crew doesn't respect the tenants. They begin working at early hours even on the WEEKENDS. It's insane!!! but, this place is nice, the maintance lady (Rosa) is Guperb. Mike (the manager) too.”
