“This is one of the more basic and sterile apartments you can find in northside Chicago. location-wise, it's seemingly great, with the proximity of the Red Line, Wrigley Field and the Lake minutes away by foot, but the Btructure itself is located next to a halfway house where prostitution and drug sales/use are rampant. You will see many druggies hanging out and trying to sneak into the Btructure. If you are a single female, don't move in to here! You won't feel safe to leave or arrive by yourself. There's a laundry facility but the dryer doesn't dry, thus it's not really a dryer. You've got much nicer studios, for the same amount of rent, just south. If you go south two blocks from W.Sheridan (just south of the IHOP), It's a world of difference in the safety and policing. And overall, a much better liveable situation. don't live here.”

I will admit I read the review on here only days before moving in and I was a bit nervous. but, NOTHING that the previous review said has actually been true in the month and a half I've lived here. Not once has the elevator not worked, There'sn't a halfway house next door, It's actually an Alat building filled with Depaul students. I have never had any problem with "homeless" or "druggies" trying to sneak in, in fact the only time I seen anyone outside trying to get in was when a drunk college student couldnt find her keys in her bag at 2am. (I let her in obviously) I am not a single female as my boyfriend lives here with me but I have gone in and out of the building many many times by myself without anyone bothering me. The comment about the dryer might be the only "half" truth to the other review but its only one dryer that takes 2 drying cycles to actually dry the clothes but if you don't use that one (You've got 3 OTHER ones) There'snt really a problem. I feel safe here and I don't have any noise complaints...everyone seems to quiet down at around 10 so thats nice. Bottom line is I know how scared I was when I read that review that seems to be false and I did not want anyone else to fall for it as well.”
